Based on the trinity life view of ''physique, Qi, and spirit'', Chaihu Jia Longgu Mulitang treats the patient's physical symptoms, disorders of Qi movement, and disorders of consciousness, covering the overall treatment and comprehensive nursing of physique, Qi, and spirit. It is widely applied and recognized for its efficacy in modern clinical practice. This paper explored the treatment effect of Chaihu Jia Longgu Mulitang from the trinity life view of ''physique, Qi, and spirit''. This formula mainly targeted patients with Qi deficiency caused by cold, leading to a syndrome of Qi stagnation and water retention in the Triple Energizer Meridian of Hand Lesser Yang (TE), as well as fire-heat syndrome in the Large Intestine Meridian of Hand Yang Brightness (LI) and Stomach Meridian of Foot Yang Brightness (ST), accompanied by disorder of nutrient-blood and subsequent spirit and soul unrest. Accurately judging the imbalance of the patient's physique, Qi, and spirit and using an appropriate combination of medicinals can achieve balance among the three to achieve the best effect. The treatment strategy of Chaihu Jia Longgu Mulitang is as follows: For disorders of Qi movement, such as Qi deficiency, Qi stagnation, and gastrointestinal fire-heat, Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma and Bupleuri Radix-Scutellariae Radix, and Rhei Radix et Rhizoma are used in combination. For physical symptoms such as water retention and disorder of nutrient-blood, Poria-Pinelliae Rhizoma-Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, as well as Cinnamomi Ramulus-Jujubae Fructus are used in combination. Finally, Os Draconis-Ostreae Concha-Plumbum Rubrum is used to calm the spirit and soothe the soul. According to existing research, Chaihu Jia Longgu Mulitang has shown good efficacy in treating a variety of complex clinical diseases. This article provides a comprehensive interpretation of Chaihu Jia Longgu Mulitang from the perspective of the trinity life view of ''physique, Qi, and spirit'', offering new insights for clinical syndrome differentiation, treatment, and prescription.

Objective:To compare the clinical efficacy of using micro steel plate internal fixation through the lateral elbow joint approach and traditional posterior olecranon osteotomy approach for the treatment of Dubberley 3B distal humeral coronal fracture.Method:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 35 patients with Dubberley 3B distal humeral coronal fractures admitted to the Orthopedics Department of Jingmen Central Hospital (15 cases) and the Central Theater Command General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army (20 cases) from January 2018 to May 2023. Among them, 23 cases were treated with micro steel plate internal fixation through the lateral elbow joint approach (study group), and 12 cases were treated with traditional posterior olecranon osteotomy approach internal fixation (control group). There were 24 males and 11 females aging from 32 to 64 years old with 18 left elbows and 17 right ones. All of them were fresh fracture cases. The surgical incision length, surgical time, intraoperative bleeding, hospital stay, fracture healing, and incidence of complications between the two groups were recorded and compared. Visual analog scale (VAS) was recorded at 1 week and 1 month after surgery. Function recovery was assessed using Mayo elbow joint function score (Mayo elbow performance score, MEPS) at 3 months and the last follow-up.Result:There was no significant difference in preoperative baseline data between the study group and control group ( P>0.05). Patients in the study group were followed up for 18.7±3.9 months (range 12-47 months) while those in the control group were followed up for 22.3±4.7 months (range 12-52 months). There were significant differences between the study group and control group in the surgical incision length (10.5±0.9 cm vs. 21.2±1.7 cm), surgical time (76.3±4.7 min vs. 98.8±6.1 min), intraoperative blood loss (65.6±10.2 vs. 148.5±14.9 ml), length of stay( 10.4±1.5 vs. 15.8±1.6 d), and fracture healing time (4.2±0.9 months vs. 5.7±1.1 months) ( P<0.05). At the follow-up of 1 week and 1 month, the VAS of the study group (2.7±0.4, 1.3±0.4) were significantly lower compared to the control group ( 3.1±0.5, 1.8±0.6), ( t=2.577, 2.288; P=0.015, 0.029). At the follow up of 3 months, the MEPS of the study group were significantly higher compared to the control group (83.6±1.7 vs. 60.3±4.2, t=23.418, P<0.001). With time, the VAS of both groups decreased significantly, and the MEPS increased significantly ( P<0.05). At the last follow-up, there was no significant difference in MEPS between the two groups (92.3±3.8 vs. 89.5±5.7, P>0.05). At the last follow-up, there were 3 cases of joint degeneration in the study group with no complications of nerve or vascular damage, screw cutting, nonunion of fractures, loss of reduction, joint stiffness, or ectopic ossification, while in the control group, there was one case of delayed healing at the olecranon osteotomy site, one case of poor reduction of the fracture, both treated with immobilization and showing varying degrees of joint stiffness; one case showed ectopic ossification, and a total of four patients experienced elbow joint stiffness. The incidence of complications between the two groups [13.0% (3/23) vs. 33.3% (4/12)] showed significant difference ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The treatment of Dubberley 3B distal humeral coronal fracture through the lateral approach of elbow joint with mini steel plate internal fixation yielded good clinical results with the advantages of short surgical time, reliable internal fixation, satisfying joint function and fewer complications.

Dalbergiae Odoriferae Lignum has the effects of removing stasis, stanching bleeding, regulating Qi and relieving pain, and has a good therapeutic effect on coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular diseases. Through the previous literature research, our group found that there were differences in the original plants of Dalbergiae Odoriferae Lignum described in ancient works on materia medica, and the corresponding efficacy was also significantly different. Therefore, this paper made an in-depth study and summarized various botanical sources of Dalbergiae Odoriferae Lignum involved in literature. The results showed that Dalbergiae Odoriferae Lignum had been divided into imported varieties(Fanjiang) and domestic varieties(Guangjiang or Tujiang). Among them, the former original plants mainly concerned with Dalbergia parviflora Roxb. and Dalbergia sissoo Roxb., while the latter concerned with Acronychia pedunculata (L.) Miq., Dalbergia benthamii Prain, Dalbergia pinnata (Lour.) Prain, Dalbergia hancei Benth., Dalbergia tsoi Merr. et Chun and Dalbergia odorifera T. Chen. The above research results help to enrich the understanding of Dalbergiae Odoriferae Lignum and have positive practical significance for the protection and rational utilization of its original plant resources.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the impacts of isorhynchophylline (IRN) on airway inflammation in asthmatic mice by regulating the monocyte chemotactic protein-1 (MCP-1)/CC chemokine receptor 2 (CCR2) signaling pathway. METHODS The asthmatic mice model was established by injecting and inhaling ovalbumin. The successfully modeled mice were randomly grouped into asthma group, IRN low-dose group (IRN-L, intragastric administration of 10 mg/kg IRN), IRN high-dose group (IRN-H, intragastric administration of 20 mg/kg IRN), IRN-H+CCL2 group [intragastric administration of 20 mg/kg IRN+intraperitoneal injection of 7.5 ng CC chemokine ligand 2 (CCL2)] and positive control group (intraperitoneal injection of 2 mg/kg dexamethasone). The mice injected and inhaled with sterile phosphate-buffered solution were included in the blank control group, with 10 mice in each group. The mice in administration groups were given relevant medicine once a day, for consecutive 2 weeks. The levels of airway hyperreactivity indexes such as enhanced (Penh) value, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α),interleukin-13 (IL-13) and IL-4 in serum, the number of eosinophil (EOS), lymphocyte (LYM) and neutrophils (NEU) in alveolar lavage fluid and the protein expressions of MCP-1 and CCR2 in lung tissue were observed in each group; the pulmonary histopathological changes were observed, and inflammatory cell infiltration score was evaluated. RESULTS Compared with the blank control group, the infiltration of inflammatory cells in the lung tissue of mice was more significant in the asthma group, and there was swelling and shedding of cells; inflammatory infiltration score, Penh value, the levels of IL-4, IL-13 and TNF-α, the number of EOS, NEU and LYM, the protein expressions of MCP-1 and CCR2 were increased significantly (P<0.05). Compared with the asthma group, the pathological injuries of the IRN-L group, IRN-H group and positive control group were improved, and the above quantitative indexes were decreased significantly (P<0.05). Compared with the IRN-L group, the above quantitative indexes of the IRN-H group and positive control group were decreased significantly (P<0.05). There was no statistical significance in the above quantitative indexes between the IRN-H group and the positive control group (P>0.05). Compared with the IRN-H group, the above quantitative indexes of the IRN-H+CCL2 group were increased significantly (P<0.05). CCL2 reversed the protective effect of high-dose IRN on asthmatic mice. CONCLUSIONS IRN may reduce the release of airway inflammatory factors in asthmatic mice by inhibiting the activation of the MCP-1/CCR2 signaling pathway, so as to achieve the purpose of improving asthma.

It is crucial to establish a complete set of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) quality traceability management process system, in order to stabilize the pricing order of TCM market and reconstruct the transmission path of TCM quality signals. In this study, we reviewed the mature experience of food and drug supervision at home and abroad, analyzed the quality characteristics of TCM, and put forward that the quality control of TCM products can learn from the hazard analysis and critical control point(HACCP) system in food safety quality control. This study points out that the HACCP system provides not only technical guidance for the traceability management of TCM, but also ideas for improving the quality of TCM products and the safety risk control of TCM. The application of the HACCP system in TCM quality control can help establish an international dialogue platform for TCM and help realize the modernization and internationalization of TCM industry.
