This article retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of three recipients who developed acute antibody mediated rejection (AMR) after receiving different courses of immunotherapy prior to liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma. It focused on their diagnostic and therapeutic processes, including the immunosuppressive induction regimen [rabbit anti-human thymocyte globulin (rATG) + methylprednisolone] , postoperative liver function changes, diagnostic methods for acute AMR (such as allograft liver biopsy, panel reactive antibody testing, and donor-specific antibody testing) , and the combination treatment strategies used (rATG, rituximab, intravenous immunoglobulin, and plasma exchange). The aim of this article is to summarize the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, and treatment experiences of acute AMR occurring after liver transplantation in patients with liver cancer who had received immunotherapy, explore the potential risks involved, and provide a reference for clinicians in managing such cases.

Bovine neosporosis,a significant disease affecting the livestock industry,is caused by the protozoan parasite Neospora caninum(N.caninum).The current absence of efficacious vaccines and therapeutics necessitates the exploration of novel interventions.Cordycepin,a bioactive nucleo-side derived from Cordyceps militaris, has garnered attention for its diverse pharmacological properties. This study endeavors to elucidate the inhibitory effects of cordycepin on N.caninum in-fection.The cytotoxicity of cordycepin to bovine macrophages was assessed using the CCK-8 assay to ascertain a non-toxic concentration range. The impact of cordycepin on the N.caninum burden within bovine macrophages was evaluated using qPCR analysis and immunofluorescence assays.Additionally, the modulation of cytokine, interferon, and defensin expression induced by N.cani-num in the presence of cordycepin was examined through qRT-PCR analysis. The results showed that cordycepin exhibited negligible cytotoxicity to bovine macrophages at concentrations ranging from 2.812 5 to 180.000 0 μmol/L,compared to the control group. At concentrations of 5.625 0,11.250 0,and 22.500 0 μmol/L,cordycepin significantly reduced the intracellular N.caninum loads and diminished the intensity of intracellular parasite fluorescence. While N.caninum infection downregulated the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α,IL-1β,and IL-6,cordycepin treatment robustly induced their expression.Furthermore, although cordycepin treatment reduced the expression levels of IFN-α,IFN-β,and IFN-γ that were upregulated by N.caninum infection,it maintained substantial expression levels. In conclusion, cordycepin demon-strates a promising resistance against N.caninum infection, suggesting its potential as a therapeu-tic agent for the treatment of bovine neosporosis.

6.Arrhythmia classification method using modified lightweight residual network
Chinese Journal of Medical Physics 2023;40(12):1531-1539
On the premise of ensuring system accuracy, lightweight models can be deployed on embedded devices or mobile terminals with limited hardware resources. Therefore,a method using modified lightweight residual network is proposed for arrhythmia classification. The method transforms one-dimensional electrocardiogram data into Gramian angular summation field maps which are then taken as the model input, and reduces the number of model parameters by substituting ShuffleNet V2 convolutional units for the traditional convolution inside the ResNet34 basic residual blocks. In addition, the network incorporating efficient channel attention module makes the model focus on important feature regions, thereby improving model accuracy and realizing the automatic arrhythmia classification. The proposed model has an accuracy of 99.78%on MIT-BIH arrhythmia database, and it reduces the number of parameters,FLOPs and MAdd by 95%,91%and 91%,as compared with the traditional ResNet34 model, demonstrating its characteristics of lightweight and high accuracy, and proving the possibility of deployment on mobile devices.

Objective To assess the series of special anti-fatigue foods including JuntiⅠ, JuntiⅡ, JuntiⅢ, and Jun-tiⅣon military physical performance capacity .Methods Fifty-four soldiers , selected from a border defense troop , were randomly designated to control group , trial group 1 and trial group 2.Subjects of two trial groups were supplied with No .1 nutritional package ( including JuntiⅠ, Ⅲand Ⅳ) and No.2 nutritional package ( including Junti Ⅱ, Ⅲand Ⅳ),re-spectively, while no additional nutritional supplements were added in control group .After 7 days’ supplementation, a hard military exercise was performed to induce fatigue and an increasing load test was used to assess physical activity .RPE scale, exhaustive time and time taken to reach the 75% maximal heart rate were recorded while serum markers , such as glucose, lactate, BUN, LDH,and CK, were detected after test .Moreover, serum lactate and fatigue recovery scale were determined on the evening of the same day and the next morning .Results Prolonged exhaustive time and time taken to reach the 75%maximal heart rate and elevated RPE scores at 6 min were detected in both two trial groups compared with the control group .Meanwhile , after the increasing load test , elevated glucose concentration and reduced lactate , BUN, LDH and CK were also observed in both trial groups .Moreover, serum lactate of both trial groups was quickly recovered on the evening of the same day compared with the control group , and the next morning , serum lactate was even much lower in trial groups than in control group .The fatigue recovery scores were higher in trial groups at both time points .Meanwhile, there was no difference of such indexes between the two trial groups .Conclusion Through the combination use , the series of special anti-fatigue foods, inclucling No.1 and No.2 nutritional packages , can significantly improve the soldiers′physi-cal performance capacity , delay the physical fatigue emergence , promote physical activity recovery and prevent military training injury.
10.Effects of retinoic acid on the radiosensitization in HL-60 cells transfected with IFN? expression vector containing retinoic acid response element
Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(18):-
Objective To study the effects of retinoic acid on the radiation sensitivity in HL-60 cells transfected with the IFN? expression vector containing retinoic acid response element and its possible mechanism. Methods HL-60 cells were transfected with pRARE4-IFN?,then treated by all-trans retinoic acid at the dose of 2?10~(-7)mol/L and/or irradiation under 4 Gy.The cellular proliferation capacity was observed with MTT assay, the cell apoptosis was measured with DNA fragmentation rate, the protein expression of caspase-3 was analyzed with Western blotting.Meanwhile, the activity of caspase-3 was examined. Results After HL-60 and HL-60~(IFN?)cells were treated by RA and/or radiation, the cellular proliferation capacity was decreased, the DNA fragmentation rate was increased, the protein expression and activity of caspase-3 were up-regulated.These changes were more apparent in transfected cells than non-transfected cells, and more significant in cells treated by radiation and RA than that treated by radiation or RA alone. The special caspase-3 inhibitor,DEVD-CHO could inhibit the activity of caspase-3 and impair the growth inhibition and apoptosis induced by RA and/or radiation. Conclusion Our study demonstrated that DNA fragmentation and growth inhibition of transfected and non-transfected cells induced by radiation could be enhanced with RA.The up-regulated expression and activity of caspase-3 may play a partial role in cell apoptosis induced by RA and radiation.
