Objective:To translate Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Impairment Multidomain Scale(AIMS)into Chinese, and to investi-gate its reliability and validity among Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(ALS)patients. Methods:A total of 161 ALS patients who were registered in the registry system of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Treatment Center for Motor Neuron Disease in Hubei Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2023 to July 2024 were enrolled as subjects, and the Chinese version of AIMS was used for investigation after translation and revision. The Rasch model was used to assess the unidimensionality,in-ternal consistency, content validity, construct validity, and criterion-related validity of the questionnaire, and the classical test theory was used for item analysis,test-retest reliability analysis, and criterion-related validity analysis. Results:Unidimensionality testing showed that all three dimensions of AIMS have good unidimensionality. For all items except item 18,information-weighted fit statis-tic mean square(Infit MNSQ)and outlier-sensitive fit statistic mean square(Outfit MNSQ)ranged from 0.5 to 1.5,and point-measure correlation(PT-Measure)ranged from 0.63 to 0.87.The threshold between adjacent options of each item was>1.4 logit.Wright maps showed that item difficulties ranged from-2.24 to 2.08 logit, and the differential item functioning analysis showed that the absolute values of differences between patients across different char-acteristic subgroups were<1 logit. The overall scale and each di-mension had a reliability of>0.9,with an individual reliability of>0.7.The dimension of respiration had a separation index of 1.56,while the overall scale and the other dimensions had a separation in-dex of>2.The item analysis showed that the correlation coefficient between the items in each dimension and their respective dimen-sions ranged from 0.622 to 0.865(P<0.01).The overall scale and the dimensions of medulla oblongata, motor, and respiration had a test-retest reliability of 0.994,0.970,0.990,and 0.972,respectively(P<0.01).The criterion-related validity analysis showed that the correlation coefficients of total score and the score of each dimension between the Chinese version of AIMS and the revised version of AIMS were 0.863,0.829,0.876,and 0.755,respectively(P<0.01).Conclusion:The Chinese version of AIMS has a good degree of fit-ting and relatively high levels of reliability and validity, with moderate item difficulty, reasonable option settings, and high overall qual-ity,and it is suitable for the functional assessment of ALS patients in China.

Background/Aims:
Chemoresistance is a common event after cancer chemotherapy, which is associated with the deregulation of circular RNAs (circRNAs). The objective of this study was to clarify the role of circ-LDLRAD3 in cisplatin (DDP)-resistant gastric cancer (GC).
Methods:
The expression of circ-LDLRAD3, miR-588, and SRY-box transcription factor 5 (SOX5) mRNA was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Cell viability and the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC 50 ) value were measured by CCK8 assay. Cell proliferation was assessed by colony formation and EdU assays. Cell apoptosis and cell invasion were assessed by flow cytometry assay and transwell assay, respectively. The expression of SOX5 protein was detected by Western blotting. A xenograft model was established to verify the role of circ-LDLRAD3 in vivo. Exosomes were isolated by differential centrifugation and identified by transmission electron microscopy and the expression of exosome-related proteins.
Results:
circ-LDLRAD3 was overexpressed in DDP-resistant GC tissues and cells. circ-LDL-RAD3 knockdown decreased the IC 50 of DDP-resistant cells and suppressed cell proliferation, survival and invasion. miR-588 was a target of circ-LDLRAD3, and miR-588 inhibition attenuated the inhibition of DDP resistance, proliferation, survival and invasion in DDP-resistant GC cells caused by circ-LDLRAD3 knockdown. SOX5 was a target of miR-588, and the inhibition of the DDP resistance, proliferation, survival and invasion of DDP-resistant GC cells by miR-588 restoration was largely rescued SOX5 overexpression. circ-LDLRAD3 knockdown inhibited DDP resistance and tumor growth in vivo. circ-LDLRAD3 was overexpressed in exosomes isolated from DDP-resistant GC cells.
Conclusions
circ-LDLRAD3 knockdown reduced DDP resistance and blocked the malignant development of DDP-resistant GC by modulating the miR-588/SOX5 pathway.

Objective To explore the effect of quality control circle (QCC) in reducing the health examination report errors. Methods QCC was founded, activity themes were selected, activity schedule was planned, the reasons of health examination report errors were analyzed, goal setting, countermeasures were planned and implemented jointly by circle members. Totally 11 738 reports of health checkup were selected and analyzed the errors were analyzed during the activity, 6 892 were male, 4 846 were female, their average age was(38.01 ± 11.31)years, 5 000 reports were made before improvement, 5 120 reports during improvement, 1 618 reports after improvement and compared the report error rates were compared. Evaluation of QCC activity results and tracking effect were evaluated. Results Error rate of health checkup report from 17.80‰ decreased to 7.23‰ during improvement, dropped to 2.48‰ after improvement. The rate of standard was 141.9%, progress rate was 86.1%. Tracking results for 8 months, error rate remained below the target value of 3.40‰although error rate roise to 5.25‰in August 2016, the effect was good. The additional benefit, working efficiency of the doctors was improved; Average time for each written report was reduced to 4 minutes from 5 minutes;Saved about 1 hours per person a day to review the accuracy of the report and learning; Formed“communication model between clinical departments”;Established the error registration system for the report has been distributed;Similar error of ECG department has been avoided. Conclusions Application of QCC not only reduced the error rate of the health checkup report, but also ensured quality, objective, and accurate physical examination report; activities not merely help to improve the work efficiency of physician, team's mutual cooperation, and is beneficial to optimize the system of medical institution and avoid the error.
