OBJECTIVE:
To observe the efficacy and safety of eye transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (Eye-TEAS) on preventing the progression of pre-myopic to myopia in children aged 6-12 years.
METHODS:
A total of 170 pre-myopic children aged 6-12 years were randomly divided into an Eye-TEAS group (85 cases, 3 cases dropped out, 2 cases were eliminated) and a placebo Eye-TEAS group (85 cases, 3 cases dropped out, 2 cases were eliminated). The Eye-TEAS group received Eye-TEAS intervention at bilateral Cuanzhu (BL2), Yuyao (EX-HN4), Sizhukong (TE23), Taiyang (EX-HN5), Sibai (ST2), and Jingming (BL1), with continuous wave at a frequency of 4 Hz and a current of 1-2 mA for 30 min per session. The placebo Eye-TEAS group received sham intervention with the same equipment and procedure, but no electrical stimulation. Both groups received intervention once every other day, at least 3 times a week, for a duration of 20 weeks. After intervention and during the 28-week follow-up period after the intervention completion, the changes in axial length (AL), spherical equivalent refraction (SER), and the incidence of myopia were compared between the two groups. Adherence and safety during the intervention period were also evaluated.
RESULTS:
Compared before intervention, both groups showed an increase in AL after the intervention and during the follow-up (P<0.01). The AL during follow-up was higher than that after the intervention in the two groups (P<0.01). The Eye-TEAS group exhibited a smaller change in AL than the placebo Eye-TEAS group after the intervention and during follow-up (P<0.01, P<0.05). Compared before intervention, both groups showed a decrease in SER after the intervention and during follow-up (P<0.01). The SER during follow-up was lower than that after the intervention in the two groups (P<0.01). The Eye-TEAS group had a higher SER than the placebo Eye-TEAS group after the intervention (P<0.05). The Eye-TEAS group exhibited a smaller change in SER than the placebo Eye-TEAS group after the intervention and during follow-up (P<0.01). The incidence of myopia in the Eye-TEAS group was lower than that in the placebo group during follow-up (20.0% [14/70] vs 34.7% [25/72], P<0.05). Both groups had good adherence, with no adverse events related to the intervention.
CONCLUSION
Eye-TEAS can delay the progression of pre-myopic to myopia in children, and has a high safety profile.

Data analysis models may assist the transmission of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) experience and clinical diagnosis and treatment, and the possibility of constructing a “data-knowledge” dual-drive model was explored by taking gastric precancerous state as an example. Data-driven is to make clinical decisions around data analysis, and its syndrome-differentiation decision-making research relies on hidden structural models and partially observable Markov decision-making processes to identify the etiology of diseases, syndrome elements, evolution of pathogenesis, and syndrome differentiation protocols; knowledge-driven is to make use of data and information to promote decision-making and action processes, and its syndrome-differentiation decision-making research relies on convolutional neural networks to improve the accuracy of local disease identification and syndrome differentiation. The “data-knowledge” dual-driven model can make up for the shortcomings of single-drive numerical simulation accuracy, and achieve a balance between local disease identification and macroscopic syndrome differentiation. On the basis of previous research, we explored the construction method of diagnostic assisted decision-making platform for gastric precancerous state, and believed that the diagnostic and decision-making ability of doctors can be extended through the assistance of machines and algorithms. Meanwhile, the related research methods were integrated and the core features of gastric precancerous state based on TCM syndrome differentiation and endoscopic pathology diagnosis and prediction were obtained, and the elements of endoscopic pathology recognition based on TCM syndrome differentiation were explored, so as to provide ideas for the in-depth research and innovative application of cutting-edge data analysis technology in the field of intelligent TCM syndrome differentiation.

Objective To explore the correlation among image acquisition parameter optimization, coronary angiography radiation dose and image quality. Methods 60 patients scheduled for elective percutaneous coronary angiography from January 2022 to January 2024 in our hospital were selected.Basic information and body measurements were collected.Patients were divided into three groups based on BMI,and patients in each BMI group were randomly assigned to the conventional mode group(coronary mode image acquisition:Cardiac Left Coronary,15fps)and the optimized mode group(electrophysiology mode image acquisition:Cardiac EP,7.5fps).Radiation dose data were collected.Image quality was evaluated using an image quality scoring table.Independent sample t-tests,Mann-Whitney U tests, and one-way ANOVA were used for comparisons between groups.Pearson analysis was used for correlations. Results Higher BMI and larger chest circumference were associated with higher radiation doses in a positive linear correlation.Within each BMI group, all radiation dose data(Dose-Area Product,Air Kerma and Chest skin dose)were lower in the optimized mode group than in the conventional mode group(all P<0.05,reduction rate 48.95%-70.59%).The difference in image quality scores between two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05),and all images were of the required quality. Conclusions The radiation dose of percutaneous coronary angiography is affected by the patient's body size, image acquisition parameters, exposure time and many other factors.Optimizing the image acquisition parameters can ensure the quality of the image while realizing the low dose of radiation and reducing the radiation hazards to the patient and the operator.

Recent trends suggest that Chinese herbal medicine formulas(CHM formulas)are promising treatments for complex diseases. To characterize the precise syndromes, precise diseases and precise targets of the precise targets between complex diseases and CHM formulas,we developed an artificial intelligence-based quantitative predictive algorithm(DeepTCM).DeepTCM has gone through multilevel model cali-bration and validation against a comprehensive set of herb and disease data so that it accurately captures the complex cellular signaling, molecular and theoretical levels of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).As an example, our model simulated the optimal CHM formulas for the treatment of coronary heart disease(CHD)with depression, and through model sensitivity analysis,we calculated the balanced scoring of the formulas.Furthermore,we constructed a biological knowledge graph representing interactions by associating herb-target and gene-disease interactions. Finally,we experimentally confirmed the thera-peutic effect and pharmacological mechanism of a novel model-predicted intervention in humans and mice. This novel multiscale model opened up a new avenue to combine"disease syndrome"and"macro micro"system modeling to facilitate translational research in CHM formulas.
