Schizophrenia (SZ) stands as a severe psychiatric disorder. This study applied diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) data in conjunction with graph neural networks to distinguish SZ patients from normal controls (NCs) and showcases the superior performance of a graph neural network integrating combined fractional anisotropy and fiber number brain network features, achieving an accuracy of 73.79% in distinguishing SZ patients from NCs. Beyond mere discrimination, our study delved deeper into the advantages of utilizing white matter brain network features for identifying SZ patients through interpretable model analysis and gene expression analysis. These analyses uncovered intricate interrelationships between brain imaging markers and genetic biomarkers, providing novel insights into the neuropathological basis of SZ. In summary, our findings underscore the potential of graph neural networks applied to multimodal DTI data for enhancing SZ detection through an integrated analysis of neuroimaging and genetic features.

5.Advancements in breast cancer research:insights from the European Society for Med-ical Oncology Breast Cancer Congress 2024
Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2024;51(11):572-579
Berlin became the focal point for innovation in breast cancer treatment at the European Society for Medical Oncology Breast Cancer(ESMO BC)Annual Meeting held in May 2024.The conference showcased the latest advancements in breast cancer treatment,in-cluding innovative therapies and strategies.Notably, research on cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6(CDK4/6)inhibitors combined with endo-crine therapy(ET)in the neoadjuvant treatment of early breast cancer, though not yet reaching its primary endpoint, suggests further re-search is needed in this area. The combination of CDK4/6 inhibitors with ET continues to be the standard adjuvant therapy for high-risk pa-tients,with abemaciclib showing consistent preliminary benefits in a subgroup of patients with germline BRCA1/2 mutations.Although ri-bociclib's adverse reactions can be managed, its use requires close monitoring.New selective CDK4 inhibitors,AKT inhibitors,antibody-drug conjugates, and immunotherapies offer additional treatment alternatives for patients with advanced breast cancer. This year's meeting showcased advancements in breast cancer treatment and provides new perspectives for future research directions and patient treatment strategies. This article overviews the critical research developments presented at the meeting.

Journal of Interventional Radiology 2024;33(6):679-683
Transcatheter adrenal artery embolization(TAAE)is a minimally-invasive interventional treatment for adrenal diseases.Perioperative pain occurs mainly during and after operation. The standardized management of perioperative pain can reduce the occurrence of intraoperative adverse reactions, improve the degree of intraoperative cooperation, better the postoperative quality of life, thus,to improve patient satisfaction with interventional surgery. However, current researches among the healthcare staff mainly focus on the safety and efficacy of TAAE while neglect the standardized pain management during the perioperative period. Therefore,in order to improve the surgical efficacy of TAAE and optimize the perioperative surgical experience of patients,it is necessary to formulate a standardized pain management strategy and to apply this strategy in clinical practice. This paper aims to make a comprehensive review about the current situation of perioperative pain occurrence and pain management strategies in TAAE therapy,so as to provide reference for standardizing the perioperative pain management of interventional surgery, and improving the success rate of interventional surgery as well as the patient satisfaction with the treatment.(J Intervent Radiol,2024,33:679-683)

Objective To detect the levels of anti-soluble liver antigen(anti-SLA)antibodies in the serum of patients with autoim-mune hepatitis(AIH)and analyze their value in liver injury. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 33 AIH patients with anti-SLA antibody-positive and 33 age-and sex-matched anti-SLA antibody-negative AIH cases diagnosed at Nanjing Second Hos-pital from January 2017 to April 2024.The general and clinical data of the patients were collected along with the detection of anti-SLA antibody(by protein immunoblotting),anti-nuclear antibodies(by indirect immunofluorescence)and other autoimmune liver disease-related autoantibodies, the biochemical parameters,e.g.,total bilirubin(T-Bil),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate amin-otransferase(AST),gamma-glutamyl transferase(GGT),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),and the level of immunoglobulin IgG.The clinical characteristics, laboratory parameters, and liver histopathological features of the patients were analyzed and compared. Results There were no statistically significant differences were observed in gender, age, autoimmune liver disease-related antibodies(such as antinuclear antibody,anti-smooth muscle antibody, etc.)and liver function parameters(AST,ALT,GGT and ALP),between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).However,in the patients with positive anti-SLA antibodies, the levels of T-Bil and IgG in serum were significantly higher than those of the negative group with both P value less than 0.05(P values of 0.017 and 0.048,respectively).The pathological examination for liver tissue revealed that the proportion of the patients with lymphocyte-plasma cell infiltration in anti-SLA-positive group was significantly higher than that in anti-SLA-negative group(χ2=4.243,P<0.05),suggesting more active immune re-sponse.Conclusion The detection of anti-SLA antibodies levels in the serum of AIH patients may reflect the extent of liver injury, and should have the potential for assisting diagnosis and monitoring the disease condition.

ObjectiveTo investigate the risk factors for pulmonary fungal infection in lung cancer patients, construct and validate a risk prediction model using available clinical data to predict the risk of pulmonary fungal infections in patients with lung cancer. MethodsWe conducted a retrospective study and collected information of 390 lung cancer patients treated at Zhongshan People's Hospital from January 2021 to March 2023. Demographic and clinical characteristics of the patients with and without pulmonary fungal infections were used to construct column line graphs to predict the occurrence of pulmonary fungal infections. All enrolled patients were randomly assigned to training set and internal validation set in the ratio of 7:3. For the modelling group, LASSO regression was applied to screen variables and select predictors, and multivariate logistic regression with a training set was used to construct the Noe column line graph model. The judgment ability of the model was determined by calculating the area under the curve (AUC), and in addition, calibration analysis and decision curve analysis (DCA) were performed on the model. ResultsLASSO regression identified 14 potential predictive factors, and further logistic regression analysis showed that hepatic injury, surgery, anemia, hypoalbuminemia, illness course, invasive operation, hospital stay at least 2 weeks and glucocorticoid used for at least 2 weeks were independent predictors for the occurrence of pulmonary fungal infection in lung cancer patients. A predictive model was established based on these variables, with an AUC95%CI of 0.980 (0.973, 0.896) for the training set and an AUC95%CI of 0.956 (0.795, 1.000) for internal validation, indicating high discriminative ability. The calibration curves for both the training set and validation set were distributed along the 45°line, and the decision curve analysis (DCA) showed net benefit for threshold probabilities greater than 0.03. ConclusionsThe construction and validation of a predictive model for the risk of lung fungal infections in lung cancer patients will help clinical practitioners to identify high-risk groups and give timely intervention or adjust treatment decisions.
