The repair of bone defects is heavily influenced by the dynamic osteogenic microenvironment. Static scaffolds constructed by traditional 3D printing technology cannot simulate the dynamic nature of the microenvironment during bone defect repair due to the fixed structure, uncontrollable release of active factors, and difficult regeneration of blood vessels, among other factors. Breaking through the limitations of these static scaffolds and realizing the intelligent and dynamic regulation of the osteogenic microenvironment is a key scientific issue in the field of bone tissue engineering. 4D printing technology combines the dynamic responsiveness of bone restoration materials with the concept of intelligent design to regulate the micro and macro structure of scaffolds. This technology provides a new method for bone tissue engineering by responding to endogenous and exogenous stimuli and creating a better osteogenic microenvironment through functionalized design, including drug delivery and antibacterial function. However, this technology currently suffers from challenges related to dynamic response material design, insufficient precision of printing technology, and mismatches between multi-stimulus response systems, metabolic rhythms of bone tissue, and functionalized composite scaffolds. Future research should focus on the development of smart response materials with excellent dynamic responses and bioactivity, the creation of new printing technologies, and the design of personalized and precise bone repair solutions. The aim of this paper is to review the current research status of 4D printing for bone tissue engineering in terms of material types, response mechanisms, and applications to provide a theoretical basis for the development and clinical application of functional bone repair materials in the future.

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Chinese materia medica soaking therapy combined with cervical rotation-traction manipulation in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy (CSR).Methods:A randomized controlled trial was conducted. Totally 84 CSR patients from the Orthopedics Department of Shunyi Hospital, Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2023 to May 2024 were selected as the observation subjects. They were divided into two groups using a random number table method, with 42 patients in each group. The treatment for both groups lasted for 14 d. VAS scale was used to assess pain levels before and after treatment, OASTCSR was used to evaluate cervical function, and NDI was used to assess cervical functional status; adverse reactions during treatment were observed and recorded, and clinical efficacy was evaluated.Results:The total effective rate was 95.24% (40/42) in the treatment group and 80.95% (34/42) in the control group, with statistical significance ( χ2=4.36, P=0.029). After treatment, the VAS score (1.60±1.21 vs. 2.91±1.12, t=-1.89), the OASTCSR score (5.17±2.14 vs. 9.31±3.82, t=-11.57), and the NDI score (9.17±2.13 vs. 13.36±3.45, t=-10.82) in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group ( P<0.001 or P<0.05). During the treatment period, neither group experienced any adverse reactions. Conclusion:The combination of Chinese materia medica soaking therapy and cervical rotation-traction manipulation can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients with CSR, and its efficacy is superior to the use of cervical rotation-traction manipulation alone.

Objective:To explore the current situation, hot spots and trends of research on the prevention and treatment of diabetes peripheral neuropathy with TCM; To provide reference for scientific research and clinical practice.Methods:Literature related to the prevention and treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with TCM was retrieved from CNKI and Web of Science from the establishment of the databases to December 31, 2021. CiteSpace 6.1.3 software was used to visualize the knowledge map of the number of articles, journals, authors, institutions, keyword clustering, and keyword emergence.Results:A total of 793 core articles were included, including 692 in CNKI and 101 in Web of Science. The research on the TCM prevention and treatment of diabetes peripheral neuropathy was on the rise. Liu Tonghua (Beijing University of Chinese Medicine) wrote most Chinese articles, while Liang Xiaochun (Peking Union Medical College Hospital) wrote more English articles. The research institutions were mainly medical colleges and universities and their affiliated hospitals. Current research hotspots and future development trends mainly included the following aspects: TCM compounds, acupuncture therapy, oxidative stress, nerve conduction velocity, expression of related pathogenic genes, randomized controlled experiments, data mining, systematic evaluation, etc.Conclusion:At present, the research on the TCM prevention and treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy at home and abroad has gradually entered a stable development stage and has a certain research scale. However, it is necessary to strengthen the cooperation and communication between research teams and institutions and promote sustainable clinical efficacy evaluation and basic research development.

Objective:To analyze the rules of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for treating diabetes based on the National Patent Database.Methods:In the patent search and analysis platform of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, search the invention patents of the TCM compounds for treating diabetes during January 1,2016-December 31,2020. The Ancient and Modern Medical Records Cloud Platform (V2.3.5) was used to conduct the statistics of Chinese materia medica frequency, the nature and meridian entry, and the analysis of association rules. The cluster analysis and factor analysis were carried out with the SPSS 25.0.Results:A total of 490 TCM compound patents were included, which involve 791 kinds of Chinese materia medica. For each patent, the number of the Chinese materia medica types was rough 13-14 in average. Remarkably, thirty kinds of Chinese materia medica with high frequencies were obtained, where tonic Chinese materia medica accounted for the largest number, followed by the heat-clearing Chinese materia medica. Among these Chinese materia medica the categories of nature are mainly flat, cold and slightly cold, while the flavors are mostly sweet, bitter and pungent, which mainly belongs to the three meridians of lung, kidney and spleen. As for the results of statistical analysis, the association rule analysis indicated that there were 17 effective kinds of Chinese materia medica pairs, such as Rhizoma Dioscoreae-Astragalus Membranaceus and Radix Rehmanniae Recen-Astragalus Membranaceus. Seven Chinese materia medica groups were derived by the cluster analysis, and 11 common factors were extracted through factor analysis. Conclusions:The TCM compounds for treating diabetes are based on clearing heat and moisturizing dryness, nourishing yin and fluid, supplemented by invigorating spleen and removing dampness, dispelling phlegm and dissolving blood stasis, purging fire and detoxification. Notably, in clinical application, phlegm, blood stasis, heat toxin and other pathological products are supposed to be the focus, must identifying the both symptoms and root causes.

Thyroid nodule is a common endocrine system disease in clinic. Its onset is mostly related to affect-mind internal damage. The core pathogenesis is dysfunction of the liver and liver-qi stagnation, and the main pathological changes are qi stagnation, phlegm turbidity and blood stasis. Constitution is inherited from the natural factors and nourished from the postnatal factors, which is closely related to the occurrence of diseases, the transformation of syndromes and the transmission of diseases. Chaihu constitution refers to the type of constitution suitable for long-term use of Bupleuri Radix and prescriptions about Bupleuri Radix. The characteristics of patients with Chaihu constitution are similar to those of patients with thyroid nodules in clinic, and the risk of developing thyroid nodules is higher. Chaihu constitution is the internal basis of thyroid nodules. When treating thyroid nodule patients with Chaihu constitution, the dominant position of Bupleuri Radix should be highlighted, and Bupleuri Radix and prescriptions about Bupleuri Radix should be used flexibly. The dosage of Bupleuri Radix is mostly between 6-15 g, and according to the change of pathogenesis, it is often combined with Chinese materia medica with the efficacy of soothing liver and promoting qi, resolving phlegm and removing turbidity, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, in order to prevent the occurrence and development of thyroid nodules.

Background::To date, there is no effective medicine to treat coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), and the antiviral efficacy of arbidol in the treatment for COVID-19 remained equivocal and controversial. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of arbidol tablets in the treatment of COVID-19.Methods::This was a prospective, open-label, controlled and multicenter investigator-initiated trial involving adult patients with confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. Patients were stratified 1:2 to either standard-of-care (SOC) or SOC plus arbidol tablets (oral administration of 200 mg per time, three times a day for 14 days). The primary endpoint was negative conversion of SARS-CoV-2 within the first week. The rates and 95% confidential intervals were calculated for each variable.Results::A total of 99 patients with laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection were enrolled; 66 were assigned to the SOC plus arbidol tablets group, and 33 to the SOC group. The negative conversion rate of SARS-CoV-2 within the first week in patients receiving arbidol tablets was significantly higher than that of the SOC group (70.3% [45/64] vs. 42.4% [14/33]; difference of conversion rate 27.9%; 95% confidence interval [CI], 7.7%-48.1%; P = 0.008). Compared to those in the SOC group, patients receiving arbidol tablets had a shorter duration of clinical recovery (median 7.0 days vs. 12.0 days; hazard ratio [HR]: 1.877, 95% CI: 1.151-3.060, P = 0.006), symptom of fever (median 3.0 days vs. 12.0 days; HR: 18.990, 95% CI: 5.350-67.410, P < 0.001), as well as hospitalization (median 12.5 days vs. 20.0 days; P < 0.001). Moreover, the addition of arbidol tablets to SOC led to more rapid normalization of declined blood lymphocytes (median 10.0 days vs. 14.5 days; P > 0.05). The most common adverse event in the arbidol tablets group was the elevation of transaminase (5/200, 2.5%), and no one withdrew from the study due to adverse events or disease progression. Conclusions::SOC plus arbidol tablets significantly increase the negative conversion rate of SARS-CoV-2 within the first week and accelerate the recovery of COVID-19 patients. bjective    To use machine learning technology to predict the recurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF) after radiofrequency ablation, and try to find the risk factors affecting postoperative recurrence. Methods    A total of 300 patients with valvular AF who underwent radiofrequency ablation in West China Hospital and its branch (Shangjin Hospital) from January 2017 to January 2021 were enrolled, including 129 males and 171 females with a mean age of 52.56 years. We built 5 machine learning models to predict AF recurrence, combined the 3 best performing models into a voting classifier, and made prediction again. Finally, risk factor analysis was performed using the SHApley Additive exPlanations method. Results    The voting classifier yielded a prediction accuracy rate of 75.0%, a recall rate of 61.0%, and an area under the receiver operating characteristic curve of 0.79. In addition, factors such as left atrial diameter, ejection fraction, and right atrial diameter were found to have an influence on postoperative recurrence. Conclusion    Machine learning-based prediction of recurrence of valvular AF after radiofrequency ablation can provide a certain reference for the clinical diagnosis of AF, and reduce the risk to patients due to ineffective ablation. According to the risk factors found in the study, it can provide patients with more personalized treatment.

ObjectiveTo investigate the mechanism of action of Sini powder in the treatment of liver cancer based on network pharmacology and molecular docking. MethodsTraditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform was used to obtain the compound and target of Sini powder, and the corresponding gene Symbol was obtained through Uniprot. The disease genes of liver cancer were obtained from Human Genome Database, and the genes with intersection with the target genes of Sini powder were screened out. Cytoscape3.7.1 software was used to draw the map of “traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)-compound-target” network. STRING was used to construct a protein-protein interaction (PPI) network, R studio software was used to conduct gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses on therapeutic targets, and then the results were visualized. The active component with the highest number of targets was selected as the ligand, and the target with the highest degree in the PPI network was selected as the receptor, so as to predict the structure of receptor-ligand complex and the amino acid residues that bind to each other. ResultsIn this study, 91 core targets and 141 relevant active components of Sini powder were screened out, among which quercetin and kaempferol were the main active components in the treatment of liver cancer. TP53 and HSP90AA1 were the main therapeutic targets. The GO enrichment analysis obtained 1007 items which met the screening criteria, which were mainly involved in the biological processes of antioxidation reaction, activity regulation of protein serine and threonine kinase, and cellular stress response. The KEGG enrichment analysis obtained 102 pathways, which mainly regulated the hepatitis B pathway and the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway in the prevention and treatment of liver cancer. The results of molecular docking showed a synergistic antitumor effect between the crystal structure domains VAL147, CYS220, GLU221, and PRO222 of quercetin-TP53. ConclusionThis study reveals the mechanism of action of Sini powder in the treatment of liver cancer by acting on multiple targets and signaling pathways, which provides a theoretical basis for biological experiments.

Objective To observe the influence of nutrition cognition and behavior intervention of family caregivers on nutritional status of gastric cancer patients during chemotherapy. Methods We selected 100 patients who received complete chemotherapy at the Department of gastrointestinal surgery from September 2015 to February 2017.Each patient selected 1 family caregiver.It was divided into the control group and the intervention group by the draw method.The control group carried out routine nursing measures.The intervention group carried out nutritional cognitive behavior intervention.The effects of cognitive behavior intervention were investigated by observing the scores of PG-SGA,albumin, prealbumin in gastric cancer patients and the scores of nutrition knowledge,attitude and practice in family caregivers. Results The scores of nutrition knowledge, attitude and practice of the control group and the intervention group were respectively 44.17 ± 9.35 and 46.50 ± 9.32, and the difference was statistically significant(t=15.02, P<0.05).There was significant difference in PG-SGA score, hemoglobin and BMI in patients with gastric cancer patients (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of malnutrition and prealbumin in patients with gastric cancer patients (P>0.05). Conclusion Nutrition cognition and behavior intervention can effectively improve the nutritional cognition of family caregivers, improve the nutritional status of gastric cancer patients during chemotherapy, and promote the rehabilitation of patients with gastric cancer and improve their quality of life.

OBJECTIVE： To investigate the potential pharmacological mechanism of the seed of Draba nemorosa， and to provide reference for further development， utilization and clinical application. METHODS： Effective components and related target proteins of D. nemorosa were screened and identified by using TCMSP and STRING database. Cytoscape 3.7.0 software was used to construct a visual network of effective components and target proteins for the seed of D. nemorosa， and the network topology analysis was performed. The targeting protein-protein interaction （PPI） network was constructed and analyzed by STRING database and Cytoscape 3.7.0 software. KEGG pathway enrichment of target proteins was analyzed by DAVID bioinformatics resource database. RESULTS： A total of 9 effective components were screened from the seed of D. nemorosa， including quercetin， kaempferol， β-sitosterol， etc. Totally 174 target proteins were obtained， mainly including PTGS2， NCOA2， PGR， etc. Among them， JUN and MAPK1 were core proteins in PPI network. KEGG enrichment pathway included PI3K/Akt signaling pathway， TNF-α signaling pathway， HIF-1 signaling pathway， Toll-like receptor signaling pathway and thyroid hormone signal pathway， etc. CONCLUSIONS： Effective components from the seed of D. nemorosa such as quercetin， kaempferol and β-sitosterol may act on PTGS2， JUN and MAPK1 target proteins through PI3K-Akt signaling pathway and TNF-α signaling pathway， thus exert the effects of purging lung， relieving asthma， promoting edema and reducing edema.
