1.Association of dining locations with nutritional status among Chinese children aged 6-17 years
Chinese Journal of School Health 2025;46(5):642-646
Objective:
To analyze the association of eating dining locations and their association with nutritional status among Chinese children aged 6-17 years,so as to provide reference for guiding children s reasonable diet.
Methods:
Stratified random cluster sampling was used to select children aged 6 to 17 years from 28 cities and rural areas of 14 provinces in East, North, Central, South, Southwest, Northwest, Northeast of China, and a total of 52 535 children were included in the study from 2019 to 2021. Information including dining locations, demographic characteristics, dietary intakes and physical activity were collected through a questionnaire survey. Fasting body height and weight were measured in the morning. Unordered multiclass Logistic regression analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between dining locations and nutritional status in children.
Results:
Regarding children s dining locations, 66.3% ate breakfast at home,25.8% ate breakfast at school,7.9% ate breakfast outside (small dining tables, restaurants, stalls, etc.); 67.7% ate dinner at home,29.0% ate dinner at school,3.3% ate dinner outside; and 63.6% ate lunch at school,30.8% ate lunch at home,5.7% ate lunch outside. The prevalence rates of overweight/obesity and undernutrition were 28.6% and 9.3%, respectively. The adjusted multiclass Logistic regression analysis (controlling for age, region, parental education, household income, total energy intake, and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity) demonstrated that, compared to eating at home, school based breakfast and dinner consumption was associated with significantly lower overweight/obesity risks for both genders (boys: breakfast OR =0.70, 95% CI =0.65-0.75; dinner OR =0.80, 95% CI = 0.74- 0.86; girls: breakfast OR = 0.89 , 95% CI = 0.82-0.96; dinner OR =0.88, 95% CI =0.81-0.95), whereas eating lunch away from home significantly increased overweight/obesity risks (boys: OR =1.32, 95% CI =1.17-1.48; girls: OR =1.43, 95% CI =1.26- 1.62 ), with all associations being statistically significant ( P <0.05). After adjusting for confounding factors, boys who ate breakfast away from home showed a significantly reduced risk of undernutrition ( OR =0.80,95% CI =0.66-0.97), while those consuming lunch away from home had an increased risk ( OR =1.26, 95% CI =1.01-1.57) ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
The choice of dining locations for children is becoming more diverse, and a relatively high proportion of children eat meals outside the home and at school. Eating out have a higher risk of malnutrition for children. School feeding may be beneficial to children s physical health.

Objective To investigate the status quo of health management behaviors in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)complicating chronic complications and the influencing factors based on health ecology theory. Methods The convenience sampling method was used to select elderly patients with T2DM complicating chronic complications in the Shanghai City from January to July 2022 as the respondents.Based on the health ecology theory, the five aspects of personality traits, psychological and behavioral traits, family and community interpersonal networks, living and working conditions and policy environment were in-vestigated.The Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the correlation of various variables. The hi-erarchical linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of health management behaviors in eld-erly patients with T2DM complicating chronic complications. Results A total of 272 questionnaires were dis-tributed and 264 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 97.06%(264/272).There were statistically significant differences in DSMB-Oscores among the patients with different chronic complications number, sleep quality, per capita monthly household income and medical payment methods(P<0.05).The DSMB-Oscore in elderly patients with T2DM complicating chronic complications was positively correlated with HLSCP,DES,PACIC and CIRS scores(P<0.05),and negatively correlated with the PAID-5 score(P<0.05).Conclusion The health management behaviors of elderly patients with T2DM complicating chronic complications is jointly affected and acted by many factors, and it is necessary to identify and manage the related influencing factors from different aspects and different levels.

Objective To analyze and summarize the clinical manifestations, ultrasound images, and pathological features of the rare disease fibro-adipose vascular anomaly(FAVA),in order to improve under-standing of the disease and reduce misdiagnosis rates. Methods The clinical manifestations, lesion locations, ultrasound images, and pathological findings of 37 patients diagnosed with FAVA in this hospital from January 2023 to December 2024 were analyzed. Results FAVA predominantly occurred in children and young and middle-aged women, mainly presenting as hard masses in the calves, progressive pain, with some cases ac-companied by movement disorders. It was rarely seen in the thighs, forearms, upper arms, and elbow joints. The disease primarily affected muscles and rarely affected nerves. When muscles and nerves were involved,it exhibited characteristic ultrasonographic features and unique imaging manifestations on magnetic resonance imaging. In immunohistochemistry, besides vascular and lymphatic markers such as CD31(vascular+),CD34(vascular+),D2-40(lymphatic+),and ERG(vascular endothelial cells+),some lesions also showed molecu-lar markers including Factor Ⅷ(+),Ki-67(<1%+),Vimentin(+),β-catenin(partial+),and SMA(partial+).Conclusion Awareness of the ultrasonographic and pathological characteristics of FAVA should be increased to reduce the misdiagnosis rate.

Objective To improve the survival rate and life quality of peritoneal dialysis(PD)patients,we es-tablished a retraining model based on ADDIE model, including optimizing the content, form and frequency. Methods From January 1,2022 to May 3,2023,based on the 5 stages of ADDIE model,we investigated the needs of pa-tients,invited 55 experts in the peritoneal dialysis field to design the final draft of the retraining model through 2 rounds of Delphi expert consultations, and 23 peritoneal dialysis patients were preexperimented to evaluate and re-vise the retraining model. Results The questionnaire recovery rates of the 2 rounds of expert consultation were 100%and 96.36%,respectively.The coordination coefficients of the first-level catalog were 0.379 and 0.384,and the coordination coefficients of the second-level catalog were 0.446 and 0.427,respectively.The Chi-square test showed that P<0.05,indicating statistical significance. The content of the retraining model included 4 sections,33 subdirectories and 9 training forms, which were combined online and offline. The training frequency was different due to the different contents, and the single content of a single training form was mainly 15 min. Conclusion The PD patient retraining model constructed in this study is scientific, reliable and innovative. Its content is easy to un-derstand and diverse in forms. The training duration and frequency are in line with the memory rule, and the eval-uation takes into account both process and result.

Sound financing mechanism is an important support for the development of health system. In response to the problems exposed in the health system during the COVID-19 pandemic,OECD countries have proposed intervention directions and investment strategies to strengthen the resilience of the health system. The investment allocation in strengthening core public health capabilities, proactive material reserves, and coordinated supply from OECD countries were analyzed,in order to explore the characteristics and effectiveness, which could provide a reference for strengthening the resilience of China's health system.
