Objective To analyze the literature on acupuncture and moxibustion in promoting regeneration and repair published at home and abroad based on bibliometrics to identify the current status, hotspots, and trends of research in this field. Methods Chinese and English literature related to acupuncture and moxibustion in promoting regeneration and repair published in China Knowledge Network(CNKI)and Web of Science(WOS)Core Collection were visualized and analyzed using VOSviewer and Citespace software. Results Since the inception of the database to June 30,2024,1651 and 1437 documents were published in Chinese and English, respectively, showing a fluctuating upward trend over the past 20 years, with China being the country with the highest number of publications,Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine being the research institution with the highest number of publications in the CNKI database, and Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine being the research institutions with the highest number of publications in the WOS database. The keyword analysis revealed that the research hotspot of acupuncture and moxibustion in promoting regeneration and repair focused on acupuncture therapies based on electroacupuncture, acupuncture and moxibustion,as well as research targets based on the brain, spinal cord and gastrointestinal mucosa, and the future research trend would be centered on the mechanism of action, focusing on the value of more acupuncture therapies in diseases such as spinal cord injury and ulcerative colitis. Conclusion In recent years, the research field of acupuncture and moxibustion in promoting regeneration and repair has developed rapidly, and various research teams have achieved rich results. The research hotspots have shown a diversified and deeper trend, and the application of acupuncture and moxibustion in promoting regeneration and repair has a broad prospect, and it is expected to provide more effective therapeutic means for the clinic.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2023;45(10):1307-1312
Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of fire needle therapy and conventional western medicine in the treatment of patients with acute herpes zoster. Methods:Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of fire needle therapy in the treatment of acute herpes zoster were retrieved from China National Knowledge Internet (CNKI), Wanfang, Database of Chinese Sci Tech Periodicals (VIP Database), China Biomedical Literature Database (CBM), Medline, Embase, and Cochrane Library from the establishment of the databases to May 30, 2022. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the included literature was screened, and Review Manager 5.3 was used for system evaluation and meta-analysis.Results:7 articles were included for analysis after screening, involving 452 patients. There were 226 cases in the treatment group and 226 cases in the control group. The results of meta-analysis showed that fire needle therapy was superior to conventional western medicine in the total effective rate [ RR=0.36, 95% CI (0.20, 0.65), P=0.000 7], lower incidence of PHN [ RR=0.25, 95% CI (0.09, 0.72), P=0.01], lower VAS score [ MD=-1.19, 95% CI (-2.14, -0.24), P=0.01], and shorter scab forming time [ MD=-2.03, 95% CI (-2.42, -1.64), P<0.001]. Conclusion:The curative effect of fire needle therapy is more prominent than that of conventional western medicine in the treatment of acute herpes zoster.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2022;44(4):438-442
Objective:We aimed to analyze the spectrum of diseases of Experienced Ten Acupoints in clinical studies, in order to provide reference for further clinical trials. Methods:The Chinese academic journals full-text database (CNKI),Chinese science and technology journals full-text database (VIP),Wanfang database and Chinese biomedical database (SinoMed), PubMed, Cochrane Library and Web of Science Database were searched from the incecption to October, 2021. The quantitative analyses were conducted on the characteristics of the clinical studies, including years of publication, journals, affiliations of authors, interventions, diseases, types of studies, evaluation of efficacy, rate of citations. Results:A total of 81 articles were included in 44 journals. The majority types of studies were RCTs, the main intervention was acupuncture as well as acupuncture combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine or medicine. For types of diseases, digestive system diseases account for the major part (66.67%), followed by nervous system diseases (17.28%).Conclusions:The studies associated with Experienced Ten Acupoints were relatively few, the corresponding spectrum of diseases was in limit range, and experimental studies lacks. This study suggested that the clinicians should pay attention to the classical acupoints prescriptions, and the research progress of clinical trials should be more standardized.
