The thought of medicine and food homology and substances with both edible and medicinal values are an important part of China's excellent traditional culture and medicine treasure, playing an important role in human diet and health maintenance for thousands of years. Substances with both edible and medicinal values are a standardized name governed by existing regulations, and many substances with both edible and medicinal values in the list lack important information such as original plants and edible and medicinal parts. Some substances change as the relevant regulations change, which confuses the use and regulation. According to the definition and inclusion conditions of substances with both edible and medicinal values in the Regulation of Substances with Both Edible and Medicinal Values Catalogue, this paper comprehensively reviewed the first batch of 87 substances with both edible and medicinal values published in 2002 by collecting information and investigating the practical application. Some substances supplemented, deleted, and revised were analyzed and discussed, and a complete revised list was compiled, encompassing a total of 90 substances, which were when combined with the 19 substances of the last three batches(published in 2019, 2023, and 2024), amounted to a total of 109 substances. In addition, the substances not currently in the published list but have both edible and medicinal values according to the latest definition were summarized, which revealed at least 27 other substances. Therefore, there were at least 136 substances with both edible and medicinal values. Additionally, the potential substances that could be included in the list of substances with edible and medicinal values were prospected, providing a focus for future expansion of the list. This paper systematically reviewed and revised the list of substances with both edible and medicinal values to lay a foundation for the regulatory authorities to revise the catalog of these substances and provide basic information for promoting the new quality productive forces in the health field and boosting the orderly and rapid development of the big health industry.

Colitis-associated cancer(CAC)is a specific type of colorectal cancer that develops from inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)are a group of myeloid cells with immunosuppressive properties,and MDSCs in the tumor microenvironment proliferate and activate during the development of colitis-associated cancer,inhibiting T-cell production and impairing their function,which impedes the immunotherapeutic effect of colitis-associated cancer.In this paper,we review the immunosuppressive mechanisms of MDSCs in the development of inflammatory bowel disease to colitis-associated cancers and the current drugs targeting MDSCs for immunotherapy of inflammatory colorectal cancers,with a view to providing new strategies for the treatment of colitis-associated cancers.

Objective To investigate the effects of cinbufagin(CB)on the proliferation,migration and invasion ability as well as epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)of human colon cells HCT116.Methods Logarithmically grown HCT116 cells were randomly divided into blank group and experimental-L,-M,-H groups;the blank group did not receive any treatment(0 nmol·L-1),and experimental-L,-M,-H groups were cultured in 1 640 medium containing 17.5,35 and 70 nmol·L-1 cinbufagin for 48 h.Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)was used to detect the effect of cinbufagin on the survival rate of HCT116 cells;cloning assay was used to detect the effect of cinbufagin on the proliferation of HCT116 cells;cell scratch assay and Transwell assay were used to detect the effect of cinbufagin on the migration and invasive ability of HCT116 cells;Western blot was used to detect the expression levels of janus kinase 2(JAK2)/signal transducers and activators of transcription 3(STAT3)pathway and EMT-related proteins of HCT116 cells.Results The number of clone formation in blank group and experimental-L,-M,-H groups were 122.67±24.42,73.67±15.82,44.33±4.51 and 21.67±1.53;the rates of migration of scratches were(44.64±9.15)％,(26.91±2.94)％,(19.28±1.52)％and(6.33±2.30)％;the number of invaded cells were 120.33±1.15,58.33±9.07,33.33±1.53 and 18.33±3.21;the relative protein expression of phosphorylated JAK-2(p-JAK-2)/JAK-2 were 1.02±0.06,0.94±0.05,0.75±0.22 and 0.49±0.22;relative protein expression of phosphorylated STAT3(p-STAT3)/STAT3 were 0.89±0.10,0.72±0.04,0.65±0.06 and 0.52±0.18;relative protein expression of E-cadherin were 0.30±0.14,0.41±0.13,0.49±0.14 and 0.69±0.17;relative protein expression of N-cadherin were 0.96±0.11,0.78±0.04,0.69±0.12 and 0.40±0.15;Snail relative protein expression were 0.89±0.08,0.62±0.15,0.44±0.15 and 0.27±0.09;Vimentin relative protein expression were 0.92±0.09,0.76±0.13,0.63±0.01 and 0.43±0.09,respectively.The above indexes in experimental-H group showed statistically significant differences compared to blank group(all P＜0.05).Conclusion HCT116 can inhibit the invasion and metastasis of human colorectal cancer cells HCT116 by inhibiting epithelial-mesenchymal transition through JAK2/STAT3 pathway.

Objective To explore the mechanism of inhibition of colorectal cancer cells HT29 proliferation,migration and invasion by bufalin through Janus kinase 2(JAK2)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)pathway.Methods Human colorectal cancer HT29 cells were randomly divided into control group and experimental-L,-M,-H groups.The cells in the control group were not treated,and the cells in the experimental-L,-M,-H groups were treated with 2.5,5.0 and 10.0 μmol·L-1 bufalin for 48 h.After HT29 cells were infected with FLAG STAT3 lentivirus,the cells were divided into lentivirus infection group and experiment-H(10.0 pmol·L-1 bufalin)+lentivirus infection group.Cell viability was detected by cell counting kit 8(CCK-8).Cloning experiment to verify cell proliferation rate;Transwell experiment verified the migration ability of cells after bufalin treatment;the transfection efficiency of lentivirus and the expression of cell-related proteins were detected by Western blot.Results After 48 h of drug action,the number of cells in the control group,experimental-L,-M,-H groups were 1 003.25±255.53,698.00±152.25,562.13±31.56 and 449.50±82.40,respectively;the number of invasive cells were 932.00±188.84,742.22±108.64,514.67±124.82 and 343.56±86.42,respectively;the protein expression level of p-JAK2 were 1.37±0.27,0.97±0.06,0.74±0.06 and 0.39±0.12,respectively.The number of cells in the control group,experimental-H group,lentivirus infection group,and experimental-H+lentivirus infection group were 906.88±211.71,389.00±143.08,1 279.38±210.34 and 604.75±12.52,respectively;the number of invasive cells were 671.22±44.74,246.11±28.16,1 080.78±119.13 and 574.78±16.23,respectively.Compared with the control group,there were statistically significant differences in the number of cell proliferation,the number of cell invasion and the relative levels of p-JAK2 in the experimental-M and-H groups(all P＜0.05).Compared with the control group,the number of cell proliferation and the number of cell invasion in the experimental-H group,the lentivirus infection group,and the high-dose experimental+lentivirus infection group were statistically significant(all P＜0.05).Conclusion Bufalin can inhibit the proliferation,migration and invasion of colorectal cancer by activating the JAK2/STAT3 signalling pathway.

Objective:To investigate the clinical features and therapeutic efficacy of patients with hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell carcinoma(RCC) syndrome-associated RCC (HLRCC-RCC) in China.Methods:The clinical data of 119 HLRCC-RCC patients with fumarate hydratase (FH) germline mutation confirmed by genetic diagnosis from 15 medical centers nationwide from January 2008 to December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 73 were male and 46 were female. The median age was 38(13, 74) years. The median tumor diameter was 6.5 (1.0, 20.5) cm. There were 38 cases (31.9%) in stage Ⅰ-Ⅱand 81 cases (68.1%) in stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ. In this group, only 11 of 119 HLRCC-RCC patients presented with skin smooth muscle tumors, and 44 of 46 female HLRCC-RCC patients had a history of uterine fibroids. The pathological characteristics, treatment methods, prognosis and survival of the patients were summarized.Results:A total of 86 patients underwent surgical treatment, including 70 cases of radical nephrectomy, 5 cases of partial nephrectomy, and 11 cases of reductive nephrectomy. The other 33 patients with newly diagnosed metastasis underwent renal puncture biopsy. The results of genetic testing showed that 94 patients had FH gene point mutation, 18 had FH gene insertion/deletion mutation, 4 had FH gene splicing mutation, 2 had FH gene large fragment deletion and 1 had FH gene copy number mutation. Immunohistochemical staining showed strong 2-succinocysteine (2-SC) positive and FH negative in 113 patients. A total of 102 patients received systematic treatment, including 44 newly diagnosed patients with metastasis and 58 patients with postoperative metastasis. Among them, 33 patients were treated with tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) combined with immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI), 8 patients were treated with bevacizumab combined with erlotinib, and 61 patients were treated with TKI monotherapy. Survival analysis showed that the median progression-free survival (PFS) of TKI combined with ICI was 18 (5, 38) months, and the median overall survival (OS) was not reached. The median PFS and OS were 12 (5, 14) months and 30 (10, 32) months in the bevacizumab combined with erlotinib treatment group, respectively. The median PFS and OS were 10 (3, 64) months and 44 (10, 74) months in the TKI monotherapy group, respectively. PFS ( P=0.009) and OS ( P=0.006) in TKI combined with ICI group were better than those in bevacizumab combined with erlotinib group. The median PFS ( P=0.003) and median OS ( P=0.028) in TKI combined with ICI group were better than those in TKI monotherapy group. Conclusions:HLRCC-RCC is rare but has a high degree of malignancy, poor prognosis and familial genetic characteristics. Immunohistochemical staining with strong positive 2-SC and negative FH can provide an important basis for clinical diagnosis. Genetic detection of FH gene germ line mutation can confirm the diagnosis. The preliminary study results confirmed that TKI combined with ICI had a good clinical effect, but it needs to be confirmed by the results of a large sample multi-center randomized controlled clinical study.

Objective To explore clinical effect of vancomycin calcium sulfate combined with internal fixation on cal-caneal beak-like fracture secondary to calcaneal osteomyelitis caused by diabetic foot.Methods From April 2018 to October 2021,a retrospective analysis was performed on 5 patients with calcaneal bone osteomyelitis secondary to diabetic foot,includ-ing 2 males and 3 females,aged from 48 to 60 years old;diabetes course ranged from 5 to 13 years;the courses of diabetic foot disease ranged from 18 to 52 days;5 patients were grade Ⅲ according to Wagner classification.All patients were treated with debridement,vancomycin bone cement implantation,negative pressure aspiration at stage Ⅰ,vancomycin calcium sulfate and internal fixation at stage Ⅱ for calcaneal beak-like fracture.Surgical incision and fracture healing time were recorded,and the recurrence of osteomyelitis was observed.American Orthopedic Foot Andankle Society(AOFAS)score and exudation at 12 months after operation were evaluated.Results Five patients were successfully completed operation without lower extremity vascular occlusion,and were followed up for 16 to 36 months.The wound healing time after internal fixation ranged from 16 to 26 days,and healing time of fractures ranged from 16 to 27 weeks.AOFAS score ranged from 65 to 91 at 12 months after oper-ation,and 2 patients got excellent result,2 good and 1 fair.Among them,1 patient with skin ulcer on the back of foot caused by scalding at 5 months after operation(non-complication),was recovered after treatment;the wound leakage complication oc-curred in 2 patients,and were recovered after dressing change.No osteomyelitis or fracture occurred in all patients.Conclusion Vancomycin calcium sulfate with internal fixation in treating calcaneal osteomyelitis secondary to calcaneal osteomyelitis caused by diabetic foot could not only control infection,but also promote fracture healing,and obtain good clinical results.

Objective To compare clinical efficacy of robot-assisted(RA)and remote sensing navigation alignment(RSNA)system-assisted total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods From March 2023 to June 2023,60 patients who underwent the first unilateral TKA due to severe knee osteoarthritis(KOA)were admitted and divided into RSNA group and RA group according to different treatment methods,with 30 patients in each group.There were 5 males and 25 females in RSNA group,aged from 56 to 81 years old with an average of(66.33±7.16)years old;body mass index(BM1)ranged from 19.87 to 38.54 kg·m-2 with an average of(28.40±6.18)kg·m-2;the courses of disease ranged from 5 to 36 months with an average of(18.20±8.98)months;RSNA system was used to assist the positioning of osteotomy.There were 7 males and 23 females in RA group,aged from 55 to 82 years old with an average of(67.83±8.61)years old;BMI ranged from 19.67 to 37.25 kg·m-2 with an aver-age of(28.01±4.89)kg·m-2;the courses of disease ranged from 3 to 33 months with an average of(17.93±9.20)months;RA was performed.Operation time,incision length,latent blood loss at 2 weeks after operation and incidence of lower extremity thrombosis were compared between two groups.Hip-knee ankle angle(HKAA),HKAA deviation,lateral distal femoral angle(LDFA),medial proximal tibial angle(MPTA)and posterior tibial slope(PTS)were compared between two groups;Western Ontario McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)and Knee Society score(KSS)were used to evaluate functional recovery before operation,3 and 6 months after operation.Results The operation was performed successfully in both groups,and there were no serious complications such as vascular and nerve injury during operation.The wound healed well at stage Ⅰafter operation,and the follow-up time was 6 months.The operation time,latent blood loss at 2 weeks after operation and inci-sion length in RSNA group were(94.35±5.75)min,(130.54±17.53)mland(14.73±2.14)cm,respectively;while(102.57±6.88)min,(146.33±19.47)ml and(16.78±2.32)cm in RA group,respectively.RSNA group was better than RA group(P＜0.05).No deep vein thrombosis occurred in both groups at 2 weeks after operation,5 patients occurred intermuscular vein throm-bosisin in RSNA group and 8 patients in RA group,the difference was not statistically significant(P＞0.05).In RSNA group,HKAA,LDFA and MPTA were(173.00±5.54)°,(86.96±3.45)°,(82.79±3.35)° before operation,and(178.34±1.85)°,(89.92±0.42)°,(89.84±0.73)° at 1 week after operation,respectively.In RA group,HKAA,LDFA and MPTA were(173.31±6.48)°,(87.15±3.40)° and(82.99±3.05)° before operation,and(178.52±1.79)°,(90.03±0.39)° and(90.15±0.47)° at 1 week after operation,respectively.HKAA,LDFA and MPTA were significantly improved in both groups at 1 week after oper-ation(P＜0.05).There were no significant difference in HKAA,LDFA,MPTA and PTS between two groups before operation and 1 week after operation(P＞0.05).There was no significant difference in deviation distribution of HKAA at 1 week after op-eration(x2=2.61 1,P=0.456).There were no significant difference in WOMAC and KSS between two groups before operation,3 and 6 months after operation(P＞0.05),and postoperative WOMAC and KSS at 3 and 6 months between two groups were im-proved compared with those before operation(P＜0.05).Conclusion Both RA and RSNA system assisted TKA could obtain ac-curate osteotomy,RA has higher surgical accuracy,RSNA system assisted operation has less trauma,and operation is simpler.

Objective To explore clinical accuracy of remote sensing navigation alignment(RSNA)system in total knee arthroplasty(TKA)and its influence on postoperative clinical efficacy.Methods From May 2021 to May 2022,60 knee os-teoarthritis(KOA)patients with Kellgren-Lawrence(K-L)grade Ⅲ to Ⅳ treated by unilateral primary TKA were selected and divided into RSNA group and traditional operation group according to treatment methods,and 30 patients in each group.There were 6 males and 24 females in RSNA group,aged from 55 to 86 years old with an average of(68.06±8.23)years old;body mass index(BMI)ranged from 22.15 to 34.58 kg·m-2 with an average of(28.20±3.01)kg·m-2;the courses of disease ranged from 2 to 60 months with an average of(18.80±14.80)months;13 patients with grade Ⅲ and 17 patients with grade Ⅳaccording to K-L grading.In traditional operation group,there were 8 males and 22 females,aged from 57 to 85 years old with an average of(67.26±6.32)years old;BMI ranged from 23.94 to 34.55 kg·m-2 with an average of(27.49±2.32)kg·m-2;the courses of disease ranged from 3 to 60 months with an average of(21.30±16.44)months;14 patients with grade Ⅲ and 16 pa-tients with grade Ⅳ according to K-L grading.Western Ontario and McMaster Universities(WOMAC)osteoarthritis index and Knee Society score(KSS)were used to evaluate functional recovery of patients.Hip-knee-ankle angle(HKAA),distal femoral valgus angle(FVA)and distal fermoral flexion angle(DFFA)were measured before operation.HKAA and HKAA deviation angle were measured at 1 week after operation,and defective rate of lower limb force line,femur prosthesis valgus angle(FP-VA)and femoral prosthesis flexion angle(FPFA),respectively,were calculated.Results There were no serious complications such as vascular and nerve injury during operation,and wound healed at stage Ⅰ.Both groups were followed up for 6 months.There were no significant difference in WOMAC index,KSS,HKAA,FVA and DFFA between two groups before operation(P＞0.05).The force line defect rate,HKAA,HKAA deviation angle,FPVA deviation angle and FPFA of RSNA group were 6.7％,(178.74±1.56)°,(1.25±1.56)°,(1.84±0.16)° and(4.85±2.46)°,respectively;while in traditional operation group were 20％,(176.73±3.46)°,(3.27±3.46)°,(2.44±0.26)°,(6.60±1.86)°;the difference between two groups were statistically sig-nificant(P＜0.05).There were no significant difference in WOMAC index and KSS between two groups at 3 and 6 months after operation(P＞0.05).Conclusion RSNA system could reduce defective rate of lower limb force line,FPVA deviation angle and FPFA after TKA,which is more accurate and easy to operate than traditional intramedullary localization surgery while ensuring postoperative efficacy.

Objective To analyze the detection results and distribution characteristics of serum allergen-specific immunoglobulin(Ig)E antibodies in patients with type Ⅰ allergic diseases(hereinafter referred to as allergic diseases)in Chongqing,and to provide epidemiological data and diagnostic evidence for the prevention and treatment of allergic diseases.Methods A total of 9189 patients who underwent allergen-specific IgE an-tibody detection in this hospital from January 2023 to February 2024 were included in the study.The positive cases of allergen specific IgE antibodies detection were statistically analyzed according to age groups,genders,and sea-sons,and the distribution characteristics and patterns of specific allergens were analyzed.Results Among the 9 189 patients with allergic diseases,4 143 cases showed positive allergen-specific IgE antibodies detection results,with a positive rate of 45.09％.The proportion of patients with multiple sensitization was 68.53％.The main inhalant allergens included Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus(28.95％),Dermatophagoides farinae(23.62％),and Blomia tropicalis(10.95％);while the main ingested allergens were milk(7.57％),shrimp/crab(2.84％),and egg white(1.98％).The positive rate of inhalant allergens was higher than that of ingested al-lergens.The positive rate of allergens in males was higher than that in females(P＜0.05).The allergens in infants and toddlers under 3 years old were mainly ingested and mostly sensitized by single allergen.The posi-tive rate of allergens and multiple sensitization rate were the highest in patients aged 12-＜18 years.The pos-itive rate of allergens was the lowest in patients over 60 years old.The positive rate of allergens was the high-est in autumn,and Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and Dermatophagoides farinae were the main allergens in all seasons.Conclusion Patients with allergic diseases in Chongqing exhibited the following characteristics:Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and Dermatophagoides farinae are the main allergens,the positive rate of al-lergens in males is higher than that in females,the majority patients are 12-＜18 years old,and the disease is more prone to occur in autumn.These findings can provide a reference for the prevention and treatment of al-lergic diseases in this region.

Objective To explore the application value of neutrophil to lymphocyte subsets ratios in clinical staging and pathological classification of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Methods A total of 132 NSCLC patients who were hospitalized and diagnosed by histopathology from January 2018 to December 2020 in the hospital were selected as the NSCLC group.Another 85 healthy individuals who underwent physical ex-aminations at the same hospital were selected as the control group,and the neutrophil to lymphocyte subsets ratios of the two study groups were detected and calculated for comparison.Results Compared with the con-trol group,the CD3+T cell,CD4+T cell,CD8+T cell,B cell,natural killer(NK)cell,and CD4+/CD8+in the NSCLC group were significantly reduced,while neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR),neutrophil to CD3+T cell ratio(N/CD3+),neutrophil to CD4+T cell ratio(N/CD4+),neutrophil to CD8+T cell ratio(N/CD8+),neutrophil to B cell ratio(N/B),and neutrophil to NK cell ratio(N/NK)significantly increased(P＜0.05).Compared with adenocarcinoma group,NLR,N/CD3+,N/CD4+,N/B.and N/NK were higher in the squa-mous cell carcinoma group(P＜0.05).NLR,N/CD3+,N/CD4+,N/CD8+,N/B and N/NK in the stage Ⅰgroup,the stage Ⅱ group,the stage Ⅲ group and the stage Ⅳ group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Compared with the stage Ⅰ group,N/CD3+,N/CD4+,N/CD8+,and N/B in the stage Ⅲ group and the stage Ⅳ group were significantly increased(P＜0.05),while CD3+T cell and B cell were significantly decreased(P＜0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve results showed that the area under the curve and Youden index of the neutrophils to lymphocyte subsets ratios were higher than those of the corresponding lymphocyte subsets.The Linear Support Vector Classification(Linear SVC)algorithm based on machine learning was used to construct a NSCLC risk prediction model using N/CD3+,N/CD4+,N/CD8+,N/B,and N/NK indicators.The results showed that the area under the curve could reach 0.929,with a positive predictive value of 0.911 and a negative predictive value of 0.787.Conclusion The neutrophil to lym-phocyte subsets ratios are closely related to the clinical staging and pathological classification of NSCLC.The combined detection of N/CD3+,N/CD4+,N/CD8+,N/B,and N/NK has high clinical diagnostic efficacy and could provide new diagnostic and therapeutic ideas for the early diagnosis and assessment of the severity of NSCLC.
