Virus-related lymphoma exhibits a dual nature as both a hematologic malignancy and a viral infectious disease， making it more resistant to treatment and associated with poorer prognosis. This paper analyzes the understanding and therapeutic advantages of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） in virus-related lymphoma. It proposes a TCM-based approach centered around syndrome differentiation， using standardized measurements of the overall TCM condition， multi-omics research of hematologic tumors， and artificial intelligence technologies to identify the "pre-condition" of virus-related lymphoma. A risk warning model will be established to early identify high-risk populations with viral infections that may develop into malignant lymphoma， thereby establishing a risk warning system for virus-related lymphoma. At the same time， a TCM health management approach will be applied to manage and regulate virus-related lymphoma， interrupting its progression and forming a human-centered， comprehensive， continuous health service model. Based on this， a standardized， integrated clinical prevention and treatment decision-making model for virus-related lymphoma， recognized by both Chinese and western medicine， will be established to provide TCM solutions for primary prevention of major malignant tumors.

Objective: To investigate the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndromes and syndrome elements in lymphoma, as well as the correlation between TCM syndromes and Western clinical indicators, in order to analyze associations between TCM syndromes and these indicators. Methods: From January 2023 to May 2024, 216 patients with lymphoma who met the inclusion criteria in the Department of Hematology, Third People′s Hospital Affiliated to Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were enrolled. Four diagnostic methods were applied to perform TCM syndrome differentiation and extract syndrome elements. The correlations between various syndromes and blood test indicators of lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), β2-microglobulin (β2-MG), immunoglobulin G (IgG), immunoglobulin M (IgM), immunoglobulin A (IgA), white blood cell (WBC), hemoglobin (Hb), platelet count (PLT), neutrophil (NEUT), immunohistochemical markers of B-cell lymphoma-6 (BCL6), B-cell lymphoma-2 (BCL2), proto-oncogene MYC, and Ki67 protein expression, Ann Arbor staging, international prognostic index (IPI) score, bone marrow infiltration, concurrent infections during chemotherapy, and post-chemotherapy bone marrow suppression rate were analyzed. Results: Five TCM syndromes, ranked by frequency, were syndromes of yin deficiency with phlegm accumulation(41.67%), qi depression with phlegm obstruction(30.56%), cold-phlegm congelation and stagnation(12.96%), phlegm-blood stasis toxin(12.04%), and lingering pathogen due to deficient vital qi(2.77%). Yin deficiency(50.93%) and phlegm(45.37%) were the more prevalent syndrome elements. The TCM syndromes were correlated with β2-MG, PLT, MYC, BCL2/MYC, Ki67 protein expression, and bone marrow infiltration (P<0.05). No statistically significant differences were observed in Ann Arbor staging or IPI score across the syndromes. Compared to the syndrome of cold-phlegm congelation and stagnation, the syndrome of qi depression with phlegm obstruction exhibited higher levels of NEUT, MYC, BCL2/MYC, and Ki67 protein expression, as well as a higher rate of post-chemotherapy bone marrow suppression (P<0.05); the syndrome of phlegm-blood stasis toxin showed higher MYC and BCL2/MYC protein expression and a higher rate of post-chemotherapy bone marrow suppression rate (P<0.05); the syndrome of yin deficiency with phlegm accumulation demonstrated higher MYC and BCL2/MYC protein expression and bone marrow infiltration rates, whereas PLT level was lower (P<0.05); the syndrome of lingering pathogen due to deficient vital qi had higher MYC, BCL2/MYC, and Ki67 protein expression levels, as well as a higher rate of post-chemotherapy bone marrow suppression rate (P<0.05). Compared to the syndrome of qi depression with phlegm obstruction, the syndrome of phlegm-blood stasis toxin exhibited lower Ki67 protein expression (P<0.05); the syndrome of yin deficiency with phlegm accumulation had higher β2-MG level, bone marrow infiltration rate, and rate of concurrent infections during chemotherapy, whereas PLT and NEUT levels and the rate of post-chemotherapy bone marrow suppression rate were lower (P<0.05). Compared to the syndrome of phlegm-blood stasis toxin, the syndrome of yin deficiency with phlegm accumulation had higher β2-MG level, whereas NEUT and the rate of post-chemotherapy bone marrow suppression were lower(P<0.05); the syndrome of lingering pathogen due to deficient vital qi exhibited a higher Ki67 protein expression (P<0.05). Compared to the syndrome of yin deficiency with phlegm accumulation, the syndrome of lingering pathogen due to deficient vital qi also showed a higher Ki67 protein expression(P<0.05). Conclusion The syndrome of yin deficiency with phlegm accumulation is relatively common in lymphoma. There is a correlation between TCM syndromes and Western medicine clinical indicators. The presence of heat signs in the syndromes may indicate active disease and poor prognosis, while the presence of strong pathogenic factors and weak vital qi in the syndromes may indicate a severer chemotherapy-related bone marrow suppression.

Bacterial therapy has attracted increasing attention due to its special mechanism and abundant applications. With the flourishing development of synthetic biology, therapeutic genes have been introduced into engineering bacteria to improve their antitumor efficacy. However, it is difficult to spatiotemporally control the expression of these therapeutic genes at the tumor site in vivo, thereby considerably limiting the application of engineered bacteria in tumor treatment. To resolve this problem, we constructed a temperature-responsive bacterial strain capable of triggering the expression of exogenous genes in a laser-controllable way. Noxa, a pro-apoptotic protein, is chosen to test the expression of exogenous protein and its anti-tumor effect in engineered bacteria upon laser irradiation. Firstly, Noxa was fused to the C-terminus of the bacterial outer membrane protein cytolysin A (ClyA), and then the recombinant gene fragment ClyA-Noxa was inserted into the temperature-sensitive plasmid pBV220 and the recombinant plasmid was transformed into non-pathogenic Escherichia coli MG1655. Thus, we constructed the engineering strain (TRB@Noxa) that could express Noxa on the bacterial surface. TRB@Noxa could target and colonize the tumor tissue without causing notable host toxicity. The bacterial infection triggered thrombosis in the tumor tissue, resulting in the darkness of tumor sites. In a xenograft mouse tumor model, our strategy demonstrated precise tumor targeting and strong tumor inhibition. In conclusion, we successfully constructed a new engineering bacterial strain TRB@Noxa. TRB@Noxa combined with photothermal therapy could arrest tumor growth in the absence of photosensitizers, which represents an appealing method for antitumor therapy in the future.

Objective To investigate the serum interleukin-17A(IL-17A)and chemokine CXC motif ligand 13(CXCL13)levels in children with cough variant asthma and their clinical significance.Methods A total of 108 children with cough variant asthma admitted to Meihe Maternity Hospital from November 2021 to Febru-ary 2023 were selected as the study group,and 86 healthy children who underwent physical examinations dur-ing the same period were selected as the control group.The levels of serum IL-17A and CXCL13 in the two groups were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Multivariate Logistic regression was used to an-alyze the factors influencing the occurrence of cough variant asthma.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was plotted to analyze the diagnostic value of serum IL-17A and CXCL13 expressions for cough variant asthma.Results The levels of serum IL-17A and CXCL13 in the study group were both higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The levels of serum IL-17A and CXCL13 in children with cough variant asthma were negatively correlated with forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),maximal expiratory flow rate(PEF),and FEV1/FVC and basal respiratory conductivity(Grs cont),while positively correlated with initial resistance value(Rrs cont).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that FVC,FEV1,PEF,FEV1/FVC,and Grs cont were protective factors influencing the occurrence of cough variant asthma(P＜0.05).However,Rrs cont,IL-17A and CXCL13 were risk factors affecting the occurrence of cough variant asthma(P＜0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of serum IL-17A and CXCL13 levels for diagnosing cough variant asthma were 0.920 and 0.867,respectively.The AUC of the combined diagnosis of the two was 0.937,which was significantly greater than that of the diagnosis of CXCL1 alone(Z=2.194,P=0.028).Conclusion The levels of serum IL-17A and CXCL13 in children with cough variant asthma are upreg-ulated,and both are related to the lung function and airway responsiveness of children with cough variant asthma.The combined detection of serum IL-17A and CXCL13 levels has a high diagnostic value for cough variant asthma.

Objective To study the effect of high mobility group box B1(HMGB1)gene knockout on alleviating a-cute lung injury and inhibiting toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)/nuclear factor-KB(NF-κB)pathway of sepsis mice.Methods Wild-type(WT)mice were divided into WT-Sham group and WT-model group,and HMGB1 knockout(KO)mice were divided into KO-sham group and KO-model group.Sepsis ALI model was established by cecal ligation and perforation in WT-model group and KO-model group.Sham operation was performed in WT-Sham group and KO-Sham group.24 h after modeling,the partial pressure of arterial oxygen(PaO2)was detected,oxy-genation index(OI)was calculated,pathological changes of lung tissue were detected and lung injury score was calculated,the concentrations of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1 β(IL-1 β),interleukin-6(IL-6),reactive oxygen species(ROS),malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD),in serum and lung tissues and the expression of HMGB1,TLR4 and nuclear NF-κB in lung tissues were detected.Results The PaO2,OI and the concentration of SOD in serum and lung tissue of WT-model group were lower than those of WT-Sham group,the lung injury scores,the concentrations of TNF-α,IL-1 β,IL-6,ROS and MDA in serum and lung tissue,and the expression levels of HMGB1,TLR4 and nuclear NF-κB in lung tissue were higher than those in WT-Sham group(P＜0.05).HMGB1 was not expressed in lung tissue of KO-model group,and the concentrations of PaO2,OI and the concentration of SOD in serum and lung tissue of KO-model group were higher than those of WT-model group,the lung injury scores,the concentrations of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,ROS and MDA in serum and lung tissue,and the expression levels of TLR4 and nuclear NF-κB in lung tissue were lower than those of the WT-model group(P＜0.05).Conclusion HMGB1 gene knockout alleviates acute lung injury of sepsis mice,the re-lated molecular mechanism may be the inhibition of TLR4/NF-κB pathway mediated inflammation and oxidative stress.

Objective:To establish a mice model that is more in line with the human immunocompromised state,and to inves-tigate the regulatory effect of Rosa laevigata Michx.,probiotics and their combination on their immune function.Methods:Immunosup-pressive model of mice was established by using cyclophosphamide with different dosage,time and end point,and compared with im-munosuppressive model induced by hydrocortisone and cyclosporine A,immunosuppressive model of mice was established by injecting 25 mg/kg cyclophosphamide 7 times every other day,without recovery period;changes in the proportion of lymphocytes in spleen(CD4+T cells,CD8+T cells,CD19+B cells)were analyzed by flow cytometry;qRT-PCR was used to detect expression levels of inflam-matory factors(IL-1β and IL-6)mRNA in spleen.Results:After continuous injection of 80 mg/kg cyclophosphamide for 3 days,the thymus was atrophied,the spleen was significantly swelling,proportion of immune cells CD4+T cells,CD8+T cells and CD19+B cells in spleen were significantly decreased,while mRNA expressions of IL-1β and IL-6 were up-regulated.After 7 injections of 25 mg/kg cyclophosphamide every other day,the thymus and the spleen were significantly atrophied,proportion of CD4+T cells and CD8+T cells in spleen showed an increasing trend,and mRNA expressions of IL-1β and IL-6 were up-regulated;after 1 week or 2 weeks recovery period from cyclophosphamide injection,weight and index of immune organs,proportion of spleen lymphocytes and mRNA expres-sions of inflammatory cytokines in spleen were significantly reversed;Rosa laevigata Michx.combined with probiotics could signifi-cantly reverse the up-regulation of CD4+T cells and inflammatory factor IL-1β caused by cyclophosphamide.Conclusion:In this study,an immunocompromised mice model has been established with 7 injections of 25 mg/kg cyclophosphamide every other day and without recovery period.And a certain positive immunomodulatory effect of the combination of Rosa laevigata Michx.and probiotics has been found.

Existing antidepressant treatments are generally suboptimal for patients with bipolar disorder(BD).Several studies have explored the efficacy of light therapy(LT)in patients with bipolar depression,along with investigating parameters,devices,and safety aspects of LT.This paper provides a review of these aspects.Numerous meta-analyses and randomized controlled trials have indicated that LT could significantly improve depressive symptoms in BD patients,with both low and high intensity white light having this effect,while the antidepressant effect of blue light remains unclear.LT takes effect rapidly,preferably in the morning,with each session lasting between 30 to 60 minutes,but there is no consensus on the most beneficial LT course for BD patients.The most commonly used device for LT is a lightbox.However further exploration is need regarding the safety of LT glasses.When LT devices that meet safety standards is selected,the overall safety of LT will be high and risk of manic or hypomanic switch will be low for BD patients.In conclusion,LT holds promise for patients with bipolar depression,and further research on LT for BD patients should be conducted to explore LT strategies and develop LT prescriptions.

Objective:To establish a derivative gas chromatography method for quantitative determination of hydra-zine hydrate in afatinib maleate.Methods:Acetone-glacial acetic acid solution and DB-225 capillary column(0.25 mm×30 m × 0.25 μm)and FID was used to separate andquantitative decermine hydrazine hydrate.Results:Excellent linearity showed within the range of 1.258-50.34 μg·mL-1(r＞0.999),detection limit was 0.001％,and the recovery rate was 91.7％-107.2％.Conclusion:The method shows low testing cost,satisfac-tory repeatability,simplicity and convenience,and is valid in derivative separation and analysis of hydrazine hydrate in afatinib maleate.

Objective To analyze the changes of serum levels of fibroblast growth factor 23(FGF23)and secreted frizzled-related protein 4(SFRP4)in patients with diabetic retinopathy and their diagnostic value.Methods A total of 98 patients with diabetes who visited the hospital from July 2020 to May 2023 were re-garded as research objects.According to whether the patients had retinopathy,they were separated into reti-nopathy group(38 cases)and non retinopathy group(60 cases).Another 86 healthy individuals who under-went physical examination in the hospital were regarded as the health group.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay was applied to detect serum levels of FGF23 and SFRP4 in each group,Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between serum FGF23 and SFRP4 levels in patients with diabetic retinopathy.The clinical data of the retinopathy group and the non retinopathy group were compared.Multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the related factors affecting diabetic retinopathy.Receiver operating character-istic curve was used to evaluate the diagnostic value of serum FGF23 and SFRP4 levels for diabetic retinopa-thy.Results The serum levels of FGF23 and SFRP4 increased sequentially in the health group,non retinopa-thy group,and retinopathy group(P＜0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between serum FGF23 and SFRP4 levels in patients with diabetic retinopathy(r=0.463,P＜0.001).There were statistically significant differences in the diabetes course and percentage of hypertension between the non retinopathy group and the retinopathy group(P＜0.05).Hypertension,diabetes course,ser-um FGF23,SFRP4 levels were risk factors for retinopathy in diabetes patients(P＜0.05).The area under the curve of the combination of serum FGF23 and SFRP4 in the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy was 0.965,the sensitivity was 89.47％,and the specificity was 95.00％,which were superior to the single diagnosis of FGF23 and SFRP4(Zcombination-FGF23=2.437,P=0.015,Zcombination-SFRP4=3.674,P＜0.001).Conclusion The levels of se-rum FGF23 and SFRP4 are elevated in patients with diabetic retinopathy.The combined detection of FGF23 and SFRP4 has high clinical diagnostic value for diabetic retinopathy.

Objective:The purpose of this study was to explore the therapeutic effect of modified Xiaoke prescription on patients with Yin deficiency and heat excessive type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and its influence on TCM syndrome scores, pancreatic islet function and oxidative stress.Methods:Randomized controlled trial. Eighty patients with Yin deficiency and heat excessive T2DM treated in the hospital between January and July 2021 were selected, and divided into observation group (41 cases) and control group (39 cases) by random number table method. Patients in the control group were treated with conventional western medicine, and patients in the observation group were treated with modified Xiaoke Prescription on the basis of the control group. Both groups were treated for 1 month. TCM syndrome scores were performed before and after treatment. Fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and 2 hPG were measured by glucose oxidase method. Serum HbA1c, malondialdehyde (MDA), 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) levels and SOD activity were measured by ELISA. The levels of low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and total cholesterol (TC) were detected by colorimetry.Results:The total effective rate of the observation group was 92.68% (38/41), and that of the control group was 76.92% (30/39). The difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( χ2=3.89, P=0.048). After treatment, the scores of tiredness and fatigue, thirst and appetite, overeating and hunger, redness of tongue and lack of saliva and total scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( t=4.46, 16.89, 13.37, 8.58, 8.38, P<0.01). After treatment, the levels of serum FPG [(7.31±0.90) mmol/L vs. (8.72±1.50) mmol/L, t=5.13], 2 hPG [(9.64±2.05) mmol/L vs. (12.85±1.20) mmol/L, t=8.49], HbA1c [(7.64±0.58)% vs. (8.11±1.35)%, t=2.04] in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P<0.05); MDA [(3.96±1.00) mmol/L vs. (5.04±0.73) mmol/L, t=5.49], 8-OHdG [(203.41±30.70) ng/L vs. (234.50±59.00) ng/L, t=2.98] levels were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P<0.05); The activity of serum SOD [(48.64±5.05) mU/L vs. (41.75±3.58) mU/L, t=7.01] was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P<0.01); The serum LDL-C [(2.01±0.11) mmol/L vs. (2.56±0.25) mmol/L, t=12.84], TC [(4.75±0.20) mmol/L vs. (5.12±0.07) mmol/L, t=10.93] levels were significantly lower than those in the control group ( P<0.01); The serum HDL-C [(1.62±0.18) mmol/L vs. (1.24±0.42) mmol/L, t=5.31] level was significantly higher than that of the control group ( P<0.01). Conclusion:The modified Xiaoke Prescription can improve clinical symptoms, curative effect and pancreatic function, and relieve oxidative stress on the patients with T2DM.
