1.A clinical analysis of three methods for repairing deciduous molars

Objective To discuss the efficacy of direct resin filling restoration,improved atraumatic restorative treatment(ART),and Hall technique in treating deciduous molars in children.Methods A total of 120 children with 180 deciduous molars who came to the Department of Oral Surgery of our hospital from January 2023 to August 2023 were selected and randomly divided into three groups:direct resin filling restoration group(40 people,60 teeth),improved ataumatic restorative treatment group(40 people,62 teeth),and Hall technique group(40 people,58 teeth).The behavioral performance classification and degree of anxiety of the children during the treatment process and the treatment time were compared among the three groups.The clinical efficacy after 3 months,6 months,and 12 months of treatment was compared and the reasons for failure were analyzed.Results The treatment time of the Hall technique group was significantly shorter than that of the improved ART group and direct filling group,and the differences in treatment time of the three groups had statistical significance(P<0.05).The Hall technique and improved ART technique were more easily accepted by the chil-dren,and the degree of anxiety and behavioral performance classification of the three groups had statistically significant differences(P<0.05).At the 12-month follow-up,the success rate of the direct filling restoration group was significantly different from that of the im-proved ART technique group and the Hall technique group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).However,the suc-cess rate of the improved ART technique group was not significantly different from that of the Hall technique group(P>0.05).Conclu-sion The success rate of the improved ART technique group and the Hall technique group is higher than that of the direct filling resto-ration group,and is more easily accepted by children.The pain level and degree of anxiety are lighter,and the treatment time of the Hall technique is shorter,which is more conducive to the repair of tooth decay.

Objective:To summarize the best evidence regarding early maternal-neonatal skin-to-skin contact during cesarean section, with the aim of providing an evidence-based foundation for clinical nursing practice.Methods:Developing a literature search strategy to systematically retrieve relevant literature on early maternal-neonatal skin-to-skin contact during cesarean sections from UpToDate, BMJ Best Practice, PubMed, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, Web of Science, Embase, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, VIP, China Biology Medicine disc, and Wanfang Database. The search focus on clinical decision-making, guidelines, expert consensus, evidence summaries, and systematic reviews. The search timeframe should cover from the inception of each database to June 2024. Literature was subjected to quality appraisal, and only high-quality sources were included for evidence extraction and synthesis.Results:A total of eight documents were included, consisting of one clinical decision-making, five guidelines, one expert consensus, and one systematic review. A total of 23 best practice recommendations were extracted and categorized into six domains: team composition and training, indications and contraindications, pre-implementation preparation, implementation protocols, implementation recommendations, and precautions.Conclusions:This study provides a comprehensive summary of current evidence related to early maternal-neonatal skin-to-skin contact during cesarean section. The findings offer evidence-based guidance for clinical nursing practice and contribute to improving the safety of maternal-neonatal skin-to-skin contact implementation during cesarean section.

5.Changes in renal cell glycolysis and amino acid metabolism during cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury

Objective To evaluate the change of energy metabolism during cisplatin-induced acute kidney injury.Methods Adult CD-1 male mice were intraperitoneally injected with a single dose of cisplatin (20 mg/kg), and renal function and renal tissue pathology were tested;gene expression was analyzed and signaling pathways were en-riched in cisplatin-treated renal tubular epithelial cells using transcriptome; the contents of renal glycolysis and a-mino acid metabolites were analyzed using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) .Re-sults Serum urea nitrogen and blood creatinine significantly increased in cisplatin-treated mice.Pathological his-tology observed swelling and shedding of renal tubular epithelial cells.Transcriptome analysis revealed that 2632 genes were upregulated and 2799 genes were downregulated in cisplatin-treated HK-2 cells.GO and KEGG analy-sis showed that differential genes were enriched in energy metabolism.The GSEA analysis results showed that cispl-atin caused an upregulation of the oxidative phosphorylation pathway and a downregulation of the glycolysis pathway in renal tubular epithelial cells, further KEGG analysis demonstrated that cisplatin caused changes in the expression of amino acid genes in renal cells.Metabolomics showed that the contents of glycolytic intermediates and several a-mino acids were altered in the kidney of cisplatin-treated mice.Conclusion Cisplatin-induced acute renal injury is accompanied by modification in renal tubular cell glycolysis and amino acid metabolism.
6.Ischemic stroke risk assessment based on carotid plaque CT radiomics combined with Essen stroke risk score

Objective To investigate a novel stroke recurrence risk prediction model,which utilized radiomics machine learning methods and specifically combined carotid computed tomography angiography(CT A)with the Essen stroke risk score(ESRS).Methods A total of 136 patients who underwent carotid CT A were analyzed retrospectively.The features of carotid plaque were extrac-ted by machine learning to construct a radiomics feature model,as well as combined with ESRS.Based on clinical outcomes at one-year follow-up,the stroke recurrence risk prediction model was constructed using the logistic regression(LR)machine learning model.To construct an effective and robust model,the dataset was divided into a training set and a validation set in a ratio of 7∶3.The performance of this model was evaluated using area under the curve(AUC)of receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve,sensi-tivity and specificity.Results The model had strong predictive value.In the training set,AUC,sensitivity and specificity of this model were 0.903,0.796 and 0.761,respectively.In the validation set,AUC,sensitivity and specificity of this model were 0.869,0.667 and 0.850,respectively.Conclusion The stroke recurrence risk prediction model constructed based on radiomics analysis of carotid plaque characteristics in carotid CTA,in combination with the ESRS,can provide reliable predictions for stroke prognosis.
7.Augmented reality navigation system for assisting CT-guided puncture of pulmonary nodules in dog models

Objective To observe the value of augmented reality(AR)navigation system for assisting CT-guided puncture of pulmonary nodules in dog models.Methods Five healthy dogs were selected,and 4 target lung rings were implanted in each dog to build pulmonary nodule models.Deferring to crossover design,CT-guided punctures were performed with or without AR navigation 2 and 4 weeks after successful modeling,respectively,while punctures with AR navigation were regarded as AR group and the others as conventional group,respectively.The time duration of puncturing,the times of CT scanning,of needle adjustment,and the deviation distance between needle pinpoint to the center of pulmonary nodule shown on three-dimensional reconstruction were compared between groups.Results The duration time of puncture in AR group and conventional group was(13.62±5.11)min and(20.16±4.76)min,respectively.In AR group,the times of CT scanning,of needle adjustment,and the deviation distance was 2.40±0.50,2.75±0.44 and(2.94±1.92)mm,respectively,while in conventional group was 3.10±0.64,3.70±0.57 and(4.90±3.38)mm,respectively.The introduction of AR navigation was helpful to shortening the duration of puncture,reducing times of CT scanning and needle adjustment,also decreasing positioning error of needle pinpoint(all P<0.05).In contrast,the variance of puncture sequences and dogs had no obvious effect on the results(both P>0.05).Conclusion AR navigation system could improve accuracy and efficiency in CT-guided puncture of pulmonary nodules in dog models.
8.An investigation of a human brucellosis outbreak in Qixia City, Yantai City, Shandong Province

Objective:To investigate a human brucellosis outbreak in a breeding farm in Qixia City, Yantai City, Shandong Province, and analyze the main exposure factors.Methods:Through the Infectious Disease Report Information Management System of the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System, information on a human brucellosis outbreak in a breeding farm in Qixia City in 2019 was queried. The data was sourced from the Qixia Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and a retrospective analysis was conducted on the epidemic situation, case situation, epidemiological investigation results, etc.Results:A total of 7 cases were detected in this outbreak, including 6 males and 1 female. The age range was 49 to 63 years old, with a median of 51 years old. There were 2 breeding workers, 1 management personnel, 3 veterinarians, and 1 sheep manure processing worker. The onset time was concentrated in May and June. The main clinical manifestations were fever (4/7), fatigue (4/7), muscle and joint pain (4/7), and hyperhidrosis (3/7). Serological testing was performed on 846 sheep in the breeding farm, among which 83 were positive for Brucella, the positive rate was 9.81% (83/846). The infected sheep with unknown quarantine status were the main source of infection. High-risk exposure behaviors include not taking effective protective measures in sheep feeding, delivery, breeding, treatment, waste disposal, etc. Conclusion:The source of infection for this epidemic is infected sheep with unknown quarantine status, and the main exposure factor is personal unprotected contact with infected sheep.

10.Teaching reform and practice of 'Production Internship' course for biotechnology specialty from the perspective of training application-oriented talents.

Production internship is an important teaching tache for undergraduate students to carry out engineering training by using professional skills, and it is a key starting point for fostering application-oriented talents in biotechnology. The Course Group of 'production internship of biotechnology majors' of Binzhou University is investigating application-oriented transformation for local regular colleges and universities, as well as fostering high-level application-oriented talents. By taking green fluorescent protein (GFP) polyclonal antibody as an example, the reform and practice on teaching content, teaching mode, assessment method, continuous improvement of curriculum were carried out. Moreover, the characteristics of the Yellow River Delta-Binzhou Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Industrial Cluster were taken into account to intensify academic-enterprise cooperation. On one hand, this Course Group designed and rearranged the course contents, carried out essential training through online resources and platforms such as virtual simulation, and recorded, tracked and monitored the progress of production internship through practical testing and software platforms like 'Alumni State'. On the other hand, this Course Group established a practice-and application-oriented assessment method in the process of production internship and a dual evaluation model for continuous improvement. These reform and practices have promoted the training of application-oriented talents in biotechnology, and may serve as a reference for similar courses.
