ObjectiveTo investigate the pharmacodynamic effects of Houshihei San （HSHS） recorded with the effects of treating wind and limb heaviness on muscle tissue injury after middle cerebral artery occlusion （MCAO） in rats through the ferroptosis pathway. MethodsThirty SD male rats were selected and randomly grouped as follows： sham， MCAO， deferoxamine mesylate， high-dose HSHS （HSHS-H， 0.54 g·kg^-1）， and low-dose HSHS （HSHS-L， 0.27 g·kg^-1）， with 6 rats in each group. A laser scattering system was used to evaluate the stability of the MCAO model， and rats were administrated with corresponding agents by gavage for 7 days. During the administration period， behavioral， imaging and other methods were used to systematically evaluate the skeletal muscle tissue injury after MCAO and the therapeutic effect in each administration group. Hematoxylin-eosin staining was employed to evaluate the cross-section of muscle cells. Subsequently， immunohistochemistry was used to detect tumor suppressor p53 and glutathione peroxidase 4 （GPX4） in the soleus tissue. Western blot was employed to determine the protein levels of p53， GPX4， myogenic differentiation 1 （MyoD1）， nuclear factor E₂-related factor 2 （Nrf2）， Myostatin， solute carrier family 7 member 11 （SLC7A11）， muscle ring-finger protein-1 （MuRF1）， and muscle atrophy F-box protein （MAFbx） to verify the therapeutic effect in each group. ResultsCompared with the MCAO group， HSHS enhanced the locomotor ability and promoted muscle regeneration， which suggested that the pharmacological effects of HSHS were related to the inhibition of muscle tissue ferroptosis to reduce the expression of muscle atrophy factors. Behavioral and imaging results suggested that compared with the MCAO group， HSHS ameliorated neurological impairments in rats on day 7 （P<0.01）， enhanced 5-min locomotor distance and postural control （P<0.01）， strengthened grasping power and promoted muscle growth （P<0.01）， stabilized skeletal muscle length and weight （P<0.01）， and increased the cross-section of muscle cells （P<0.01）. Compared with the MCAO group， HSHS promoted the increases in glutathione and superoxide dismutase content and inhibited the increase in malondialdehyde content （P<0.05，P<0.01）. Ferroptosis pathway-related assays suggested that HSHS reduced the p53-positive cells and increased the GPX4-positive cells （P<0.01）. HSHS ameliorated muscle function decline after stroke by promoting the expression of GPX4， Nrf2， SLC7A11， and MyoD1 and inhibiting the expression of p53， Myostatin， MurRF1， and MAFbx to reduce ferroptosis in the muscle （P<0.01）. ConclusionHSHS， prepared with reference to the method in the Synopsis of Golden Chamber， can simultaneously reduce the myolysis and increase the protein synthesis in the skeletal muscle tissue after ischemic stroke by regulating the ferroptosis pathway.

Objective To observe the effects of matrine on the proliferation,migration,and invasion of human neuroblastoma cells,and to investigate its potential mechanism.Methods This study was divided into AS experimental group(SK-N-AS cells treated with IC50 concentration of matrine),AS blank group(SK-N-AS cells cultured under normal conditions),AS control group(SK-N-AS cells treated with an equal amount of dimethyl sulfoxide),DZ experimental group(SK-N-DZ cells treated with IC50 concentration of matrine),DZ blank group(SK-N-DZ cells cultured under normal conditions),and DZ control group(SK-N-DZ cells treated with an equal amount of dimethyl sulfoxide).Scratch assay and Transwell chamber were used to measure the effect of matrine on the migration and invasion.The expression of E-cadherin,N-cadherin and Vimentin were tested by Western blot.Results After different intervention,the migration percentages of AS blank group,AS control group,AS experimental group,DZ blank group,DZ control group and DZ experimental group were(66.32±3.12)％,(65.27±3.44)％,(23.73±0.79)％,(46.25±4.68)％,(44.15±5.60)％and(16.77±3.52)％,respectively;the number of invasive cells were 870.45±19.32,865.32±23.39,492.74±16.81,1 198.10±43.71,1 203.03±71.91 and 891.69±42.62,respectively;the expression levels of E-cadherin protein were(100.00±11.72)％,(105.65±13.11)％,(477.20±29.71)％,(100.00±12.54)％,(97.78±12.77)％and(240.53±12.23)％,respectively;the expression levels of N-cadherin protein were(100.00±15.44)％,(103.90±10.76)％,(43.52±9.96)％,(100.00±10.12)％,(104.95±10.49)％and(38.39±8.70)％,respectively;Vimentin protein expression levels were(100.00±9.51)％,(97.39±11.33)％,(59.13±10.25)％,(100.00±13.20)％,(96.27±11.01)％and(47.67±9.48)％,respectively.There were statistically significant differences in the above indexes between the AS group and the AS blank group(P＜0.01,P＜0.001),and there were statistically significant differences between the above indexes in the DZ group and the DZ blank group(P＜0.01,P＜0.001).Conclusion Matrine inhibits the proliferation,migration,and invasion of neuroblastoma SK-N-AS and SK-N-DZ cells,potentially through suppressing epithelial-mesenchymal transition.

Objective: To explore the current situation and related factors of AIDS discrimination among junior medical students in Jiangxi Province, so as to provide a reference for effective AIDS anti discrimination intervention measures in medical colleges. Methods: Using a convenience sampling approach, 2 484 medical students were selected from five universities in Jiangxi Province from July to August 2023. An anonymous survey was conducted using a general information questionnaire, a AIDS knowledge questionnaire, and the Chinese version of Zelaya s AIDS Stigma Scale. Independent sample t-tests and analysis of variance were carried out to analyze the level of AIDS discrimination among medical students with different characteristics. Multiple stepwise regression analysis was performed to identify the related factors of AIDS discrimination. Results: The total score of AIDS discrimination among medical students was (2.55±0.67). The dimension with the highest score was fear of contracting the disease (2.89±1.01). The results of the multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that the factors related to AIDS discrimination included gender ( β = -0.17 ), grade ( β =-0.08), being an only child or not ( β =-0.04), whether knowing about AIDS knowledge or not ( β =0.22), willingness to use condoms during sexual activity ( β =0.07), willingness to participate in school sexual health knowledge based activities ( β =0.05) and the perceived importance of selfhealth ( β =0.11) ( P <0.05). Conclusions AIDS discrimination is prevalent among junior medical students in Jiangxi Province. Efforts should be undertaken to enhance humanistic education and relevant knowledge dissemination among junior medical students to reduce the level of AIDS discrimination.

Objective:To retrospectively analyze the anesthetic management characteristics of children undergoing resection of pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma (PPGL).Methods:The clinical data from patients undergoing resection of PPGL and confirmed histologically from January 1, 2010 to June 30, 2023 were retrospectively collected. The baseline characteristics, intraoperative conditions and postoperative complications were recorded.Results:The clinical data from 47 pediatric patients were analyzed. The overall incidence of hemodynamic instability events was 68% (32 cases). Lowering preoperative blood pressure to normal levels and the maximum diameter of tumor≥6 cm was helpful in reducing the incidence of the intraoperative hemodynamic instability events ( P<0.05). Postoperative hypotension developed in 7 cases, acute left heart failure in 1 case, arrhythmia in 1 case, adrenocortical insufficiency in 4 cases, and pulmonary infection in 13 cases. Conclusions:Thorough preoperative preparation, evidence-based anesthetic management, and meticulous postoperative vital sign monitoring can increase the perioperative safety for children undergoing resection of PPGL, thereby reducing the incidence of complications.

Aim To investigate the therapeutic effect of the MW-9 on ulcerative colitis(UC)and reveal the underlying mechanism, so as to provide a scientific guidance for the MW-9 treatment of UC. Methods The model of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophage cells was established. The effect of MW-9 on RAW264.7 cells viability was detected by MTT assay. The levels of nitric oxide(NO)in RAW264.7 macrophages were measured by Griess assay. Cell supernatants and serum levels of inflammatory cytokines containing IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1β were determined by ELISA kits. Dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced UC model in mice was established and body weight of mice in each group was measured. The histopathological damage degree of colonic tissue was assessed by HE staining. The protein expression of p-p38, p-ERK1/2 and p-JNK was detected by Western blot. Results MW-9 intervention significantly inhibited NO release in RAW264.7 macrophages with IC50 of 20.47 mg·L-1 and decreased the overproduction of inflammatory factors IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α(P<0.05). MW-9 had no cytotoxicity at the concentrations below 6 mg·L-1. After MW-9 treatment, mouse body weight was gradually reduced, and the serum IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α levels were significantly down-regulated. Compared with the model group, MW-9 significantly decreased the expression of p-p38 and p-ERK1/2 protein. Conclusions MW-9 has significant anti-inflammatory activities both in vitro and in vivo, and its underlying mechanism for the treatment of UC may be associated with the inhibition of MAPK signaling pathway.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of closed-loop rehabilitation therapy by brain-computer interface(BCI)combined with exoskeleton robotic hand in patients with hand dysfunction after cerebral infarction and analyze the influence of patients'cognitive function and implicit motor imagery ability on the recognition rate of BCI.Methods A total of 50 patients with cerebral infarction were randomly assigned to the observation group and the control group,25 patients in each group.Both groups received routine rehabilitation programs.In addition to the conventional rehabilitation treatment,the observation group received the closed-loop BCI rehabilitation trainingby brain-computer interface(BCI)combined with exoskeleton robotic hand.The scores of Fugl-Meyer Assessment of the Upper Extremity(FMA-UE),Action Research Arm Test(ARAT),Wolf Motor Function Test(WMFT),and Modified Ashworth scale(MAS)of the wrist flexors were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Before intervention,the mental rotation test and Montreal Cognitive Assessment(MoCA)were used to assess the baseline implicit motor imagery ability and cognitive level of patients in the observation group.The correlation analysis between these scores and the recognition rate of BCI was conducted to analyze the relevant factors affecting the closed-loop rehabilitation effects of BCI.Results The two groups showed no significant difference in all outcomes before treatment(both P>0.05).After intervention,the observation group exhibited the significantly higher scores of FMA-UE,ARAT,and WMFT(all P<0.05),and significantly lower MAS scores of wrist and finger flexors compared with the control group(all P<0.05).In addition,the recognition rate of BCI was positively correlated with the accuracy of mental rotation test and MoCA score(P<0.05),and negatively corre-lated with the reaction time of mental rotation test(P<0.05).Conclusions Closed-loop rehabilitation training with BCI combined with exoskeleton robot hand can promote the recovery of upper limbs and hand motor function in patients with cerebral infarction.Additionally,the implicit motor imagery ability and cognitive function of patients are suggested to be used for screening the patients suitable for BCI training before the implementation of BCI treatment.

Objective To understand the status of behavioral intentions of defensive medical treatment in medical students,and explore the relationship between practice environment and behavioral intentions of defensive medical treatment.To provide reference for reducing the tendency of defensive medicine(DM)behavior of medical students and improving the negative effects of DM.Methods A web-based questionnaire survey was conducted among medi-cal students in four medical colleges in Heilongjiang Province.The structural equation modeling of the relationship be-tween practice environment and behavioral intentions of defensive medical treatment in medical students was con-structed by Amos 26.0 software.Results The mean score of medical students'behavioral intentions of positive and negarive defensive medical treatment was 44.49-6.90 and 20.06-6.83,respectively.The behavioral intention of posi-tively defensive medical treatment was positively associated(β=0.892,P＜0.05)with cognition of doctor-patient relationship.While the behavioral intention of negative defensive medical treatment was positively correlated(β=0.403,0.343,P＜0.05)with environment cognition,perception of risk and negatively correlated(β=-0.726,P＜0.05)with cognition of doctor-patient relationship.As an intermediary variable,the direct and indirect effects of cog-nition of doctor-patient relationship on negative defensive medical behavior tendency were-0.470 and 0.043,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Improving cognition of medical students'doctor-pa-tient relationship is beneficial to understand defensive medical treatment for medical students.The negative defen-sive medical behavior tendency of medical students should be reduced by reducing their negative cognition of environ-ment or improving their cognition of doctor-patient relationship.
