Objective: To analyze the current status of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) among freshmen in boarding middle schools in Longgang District, Shenzhen, so as to provide reference for formulating tuberculosis prevention and control strategies in the next stage. Methods: Data for tuberculosis health examination conducted among primary and secondary school students in Longgang District of Shenzhen in September 2022 to May 2023 were utilized to analyze the latent tuberculosis infection rate, and to explore the differences in latent tuberculosis infection rate among different grades, school nature, school categories and school levels. Results: The latent tuberculosis infection rate among freshmen in boarding secondary schools in Longgang District, Shenzhen in 2022 was 2.45%. The infection rate among full middle school (6.45%) and high school (3.37%) were higher than that in boarding junior high school (0.28%), nine year education school (0) and twelve year education school (1.00%) ( P <0.01). Moreover, the infection rate of high school freshmen (2.68%) was higher than that of bording junior high school (0.33%), and the rate of public schools (2.87%) and municipal schools (3.24%) were higher than those of private schools (1.78%) and distric-level schools (2.13%) respectively, with statistical significance observed for all differences( χ 2=43.58, 25.15, 22.69, P <0.01). Conclusions The latent tuberculosis infection rate among new boarding secondary students is relatively low in Longgang District of Shenzhen. However, the infection rate is higher in high school, public and municipal school. School should fully guarantee sports participation of students, enhance students awareness of tuberculosis through health knowledge lectures, and reduce the incidence of tuberculosis among students.

Objective To evaluate the bioequivalence of two formulations of minocycline hydrochloride capsules administered orally after fasting administration and fed administration.Methods An open-label,randomized,two-period,self-crossover design was employed to assess the bioequivalence study.Twenty-eight healthy subjects were enrolled in both fasting and fed groups,with each period involving a single administration of either the reference formulation or the test formulation of 50 mg,separated by a washout period of 7 days.The concentration of minocycline in human plasma was determined by HPLC-MS/MS and was used for calculating pharmacokinetic parameters and evaluating the bioequivalence of the test formulation and reference formulation.Results After oral administration of test and reference formulations of minocycline under fasting condition,the Cmax Values of minocycline were(541±137)ng·mL-1 for the test formulation and(558±140)ng·mL-1for the reference formulation.The AUC0-t values were(8 347±1 986)h·ng·mL-1 for the test and(8 205±1 790)h·ng·mL-1 for the reference.The t1/2 values were(18.2±2.84)h for the test and(18.0±3.05)h for the reference.After oral administration of the test and reference formulations of minocycline under fed condition,the Cmax values of minocycline were(349±72.1)ng·mL-1 for the test and(352±73.2)ng·mL-1for the reference.The AUC0-twere(6 428±1 077)h·ng·mL-1 for the test and(6 588±1 118)h·ng·mL-1 for the reference.The t1/2values were(18.5±3.10)h for the test and(18.4±3.21)h for the reference.Under fasting condition,the 90% confidence intervals for the geometric mean ratios of Cmax,AUC0-t,and AUC0-∞ between the test and reference formulations were(90.84%,101.46% ),(95.2%,102.8% ),and(95.31%,102.71% ),respectively.Under fed conditions,the 90% confidence intervals for the geometric mean ratios of Cmax,AUC0-t,and AUC0-∞ between the test formulation and the reference formulation were(94.71%,103.42% ),(95.40%,99.83% ),and(95.79%,100.02% ),respectively.Conclusions Bioequivalence of the two minocycline formulations was demonstrated after fasting administration and fed administration in a healthy Chinese population.

Objective:To analyze the abnormal features of brain structure and functional connection (FC) in adolescent female patients with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and to explore the relationship between brain structure and clinical severity.Method:Eighteen female patients with BPD and 18 healthy controls matched with sex, age and education level aged 12—17 were examined by resting functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The differences of gray matter volume (GMV) and functional connection between the two groups were compared by voxel-based morphometric measurement and functional connection method, and t-test was used to compare the differences between the two groups. Spearman correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between abnormal brain regions, brain regions with different functional connections and Borderline Symptom List (BSL-23) scores. Result:The GMV of the left inferior temporal gyrus ( t=4.23), the right inferior temporal gyrus ( t=4.85), and the left middle orbital frontal gyrus ( t=4.16) were significantly larger in the BPD group than those in the healthy controls (GRF corrected voxel P<0.005, cluster P<0.05 two-tails). FC decreased in left inferior temporal gyrus and right middle temporal gyrus ( t=-6.20), increased in the left inferior temporal gyrus and the right fusiform gyrus ( t=5.75), the left inferior temporal gyrus and the left inferior parietal marginal angular gyrus ( t=4.38;GRF corrected voxel P<0.005, cluster P<0.05, two-tailed). In the BPD group, the increase in orbital frontal gray matter volume was negatively correlated with the emotional items BSL9 (tension; r=-0.523, P=0.023), BSL14 (rapid emotional changes; r=-0.549, P=0.018), BSL15 (tolerated pain; r=-0.589, P=0.010), BSL17 (vulnerable; r=-0.554, P=0.017), BSL5 (self-injury; r=-0.616, P=0.006) and BSL18 (suicide attraction; r=-0.661, P=0.003) in the BSL-23. Conclusion:There are differences in the GMV of the inferior temporal and the left middle orbital frontal lobe in adolescent female patients with BPD. The FC abnormalities of the left inferior temporal and right middle temporal gyrus, the left inferior temporal gyrus and the right fusiform gyrus, the left inferior temporal gyrus and the left inferior parietal marginal angular gyrus, especially the changes of GMV in the orbital frontal brain structure might participate in the pathological mechanism of emotion regulation injury in patients with BPD.

The study of the process and key time of nerve vascular regeneration is helpful to guide the surgical scheme and postoperative management of nerve repair, and to provide necessary theoretical support for tissue engineering nerve transplantation in the future. ObjectiveTo investigate the quality of life in patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and analyze the related influencing factors. MethodsA total of 139 patients who had undergone TAVR in Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, West China Hospital, Sichuan University, were selected through the hospital electronic medical record system from April of 2012 to April of 2017. By using the General Information Questionnaire for Patients, Charlson＇s co-morbidity Index (CCI), Morisky Medication Adherence Scale, and China Cardiovascular Quality of Life Questionnaire (CQQC), their life quality were investigated and the influencing factors were analyzed. ResultsThe average score of CQQC after TAVR was (78.76±16.52), lower than the national norm. There were statistical difference in the scores of CQQC in patients with different ages, marital status, educational background, cardiac function preoperation, CCI weight, smoking status, drinking status, and regular exercise status(P＜ 0.05). Stepwise regression analysis indicated that, age,marital status, cardiac function preoperation, time of length postoperation and regular exercise could be included into the regression modal, accounting for 34.9% of variances. ConclusionsThe quality of life of patients after TAVR is low. Age, marital status, preoperative cardiac function, postoperative time and regular exercise will affect the quality of life of patients. It is suggested that medical staff should pay attention to the quality of life of TAVR patients after operation and carry out targeted nursing intervention and health education actively, as well as scientific rehabilitation exercise so as to improve the quality of life of TAVR patients after operation.

Objective: To explore the application of the 3D precise digital technology in restoring structural defects of the orbital region. Methods: Structural defects of the orbital region concerning on osseous structure and soft tissue were restored in one stage or stages using EH composite artificial bone prosthesis with complex three-dimensional structure. The fabrication of EH composite artificial bone prosthesis was based on CT scanning and 3D reconstruction of the skull with computer aided data analysis and design. The appearance, degree of satisfaction and the complications were evaluated in postoperative regular follow-up. Results: Five cases of structural defects in the orbital regions presenting bone defect and soft tissue abnormality, received treatments in the department from January 2016 to September 2017. The cases consist of one patient with dysplasia following surgical treatment, three with post-traumatic and one with Treacher-Collins syndrome. With the application of individualized EH composite artificial bone fabricated by aforementioned method, all the repair materials presented the ideal three-dimensional structure and coincided well with the defects, and soft tissue restoration of 2 cases was performed in one stage or by stages. Appearance and symmetry of the 5 cases was significantly improved, without complications of infection, rejection, exposure or graft tissue necrosis. All the patients were satisfied with the results. Conclusions In consideration of the capacity to fabricate accurate individualized repair materials, the three-dimensional digital technology plays an important role in the treatment of structural defects in the orbital region, especially the reconstruction of the bony contour. The simple orbital deformities can be treated with the repair materials and correction of soft tissue. For special orbital deformities, attention should be paid to bone structure repair, eye socket reconstruction and filling of orbital contents sequentially.

Objective: To analyze the patterns of female breast cancer and their incidence in Shanghai during 2003-2012, and to compare them with international data. Methods: The data of female breast cancer cases diagnosed between 2003 and 2012 were collected from the Shanghai Cancer Registry. The record of cancer cases included the patient's name, gender, date of birth, permanent and residential address, diagnosis site or name, histological type, date of first diagnosis, diagnostic basis and diagnostic stage, etc. Data source of cancer incidence of World, Developed Countries, Developing Countries, East Asia and China in 2012 sourced from GLOBOCAN 2012 database of the WHO International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC); and the data of USA during 2008-2012 was collected from SEER 18 database from Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Incidence indicators of Shanghai female breast cancer were calculated, including the average cases, median age, average age, proportion, crude rate, age-specific rate and age-standardized rate. Results: During 2003-2012, 41 991 new cases of female breast cancer were diagnosed in Shanghai, with an average of 4 199 cases per year, accounting for 17.23% among total new female cancer cases, ranking first in female cancer incidence in Shanghai during 2003-2012, with a crude incidence rate of 60.90 per 100 000 and an age-standardized incidence rate of 33.90 per 100 000. During 2008-2012, an average 4 528 new cases of female breast cancer was diagnosed per year in Shanghai, with 16.97% among total female cancer cases. The median age was 56 years old and the mean age was 57.73 years old. The crude rate was 64.23 per 100 000 and the age-standardized rate was 35.00 per 100 0000, which was higher than those of China (22.1 per 100 000), Eastern Areas (27.0 per 100 000) and Developing Counties (31.3 per 100 000), and lower than that of World (43.1 per 100 000), and Yellow Race Population of USA (68.77 per 100 000). During 2003-2007, on average, 3 869 new cases of female breast cancer were diagnosed per year in Shanghai, accounting for 17.54% of total female cancer cases. The median age was 53 years old and the mean age was 56.44 years old. The crude rate was 57.42 per 100 000 and the age-standardized rate was 32.69 per 100 000. There was a continuing peak stage spanned 25 years old from 50 to 74 years old, during 2008-2012. Compared with those of 2003-2007, the beginning age group of the continuing peak stage was delayed for 5 years old and the ending age group was delayed for 10 years old. Conclusion The age-standardized incidence rate in Shanghai was higher than those of China, Eastern Areas and Developing Counties, and lower than that of World, and that of Yellow Race Population of USA; Compared with 2003-2007, the crude rate and age-standardized rate increased, the median age, mean age and the beginning and ending age group of the continuing peak stage were delayed.

Background and purpose:Head and neck cancer is common worldwide. This article aimed to describe the patterns of incidence of head and neck cancer and their changes in Shanghai from 2003 to 2012, in order to provide reference for prevention programs, research and control strategies on cancer.Methods:The data of lip, oral cavity and pharynx cancer cases were collected by the Shanghai Cancer Registry. The distributions of Shanghai lip, oral cavity and pharynx cancer incidences from 2003 to 2012 were described. The patterns were described according to gender, age, basis of diagnosis, histological type, diagnostic stage in detail. We compared incidences of recent 5 years (from 2008 to 2012) with those of previous 5 years (from 2003 to 2007).Results:On average from 2003 to 2012, 1105 new cases of head and neck cancer were diagnosed in Shanghai each year, with 2.08% among the total cancer cases. The crude rate was 8.01 per 100000 and the age-standardized rate was 4.45 per 100000. Nasopharyngeal cancer was the major subtype of the head and neck cancer, with 50.81% among the total head and neck cases. The crude and age-standardized rates among males were higher than those among females. The histologically verified percentage was 85.77%. The squamous carcinoma was the major histological type, with 57.58% among the total cases. The age-stan-dardized rate of nasopharyngeal cancer was in decline.Conclusion:The incidence of head and neck cancer was low in Shanghai during the past 10 years. Male cases were more than female cases. The major histological type was squamous carcinoma. Half of new cases were nasopharyngeal cancer which appeared to affect patients at a relatively young age. Patients with nasopharyngeal cancer were diagnosed at relatively advanced stages.
