Objective To conduct a comprehensive review of the risk factors for post-transplant pulmonary infection in kidney transplant recipients. Methods Following the methodology guidelines for systematic reviews, the research question was clearly defined. Systematic searches were conducted in both Chinese and English literature databases, with the search period ranging from the establishment of the database to May 1, 2025. Two researchers independently screened and extracted the risk factors related to post-transplant pulmonary infection in kidney transplant recipients, and the research results were qualitatively described. Results A total of 45 articles were finally included, involving 30 risk factors for post-transplant pulmonary infection in kidney transplant recipients, including five aspects as donor factors, recipient factors, disease factors, treatment factors and laboratory test result factors. Conclusions The occurrence of post-transplant pulmonary infection in kidney transplant recipients is related to donor factors, recipient factors, disease factors, treatment factors and laboratory test result factors, providing a reference for clinical prevention, screening, and intervention.

Immunotherapy has become a pivotal modality in clinical cancer treatment. However, its effectiveness is limited to a small subset of patients due to the low antigenicity, impaired innate response, and various adaptive immune resistance mechanisms of the tumor microenvironment (TME). Accumulating evidence reveals the critical roles of metal elements in shaping immunity against tumor progression and metastasis. The marriage of metalloimmunotherapy and nanotechnology further presents new opportunities to optimize the physicochemical and pharmacokinetic properties of metal ions in a precise spatiotemporal control manner. Several metallodrugs have demonstrated encouraging immunotherapeutic potential in preliminary studies and are currently undergoing clinical trials at different stages, yet challenges persist in scaling up production and addressing long-term biosafety concerns. This review delineates how metal materials modulate biological activities across diverse cell types to orchestrate antitumor immunity. Moreover, it summarizes recent progress in smart drug delivery-release systems integrating metal elements, either as cargo or vehicles, to enhance antitumor immune responses. Finally, the review introduces current clinical applications of nanomedicines in metalloimmunotherapy and discusses potential challenges that impede its widespread translation into clinical practice.

The nursing experience of buttonhole cannulation for an autogenous arteriovenous fistula with an Eluvia drug-eluting stent in a patient undergoing maintenance hemodialysis was summarized.Key nursing points included:developing a scientific and rational buttonhole cannulation plan for the autogenous arteriovenous fistula stent based on its characteristics post-stent implantation;conducting preoperative ultrasonic evaluations of the arteriovenous fistula and stent;establishing and maintaining a buttonhole tunnel at the stent site;regularly monitoring and following up on the cannulation site and the condition of the autogenous arteriovenous fistula;strengthening the observation and prevention of potential complications.Through rigorous and standardized assessments, procedures, and nursing care, the patient maintained good autogenous arteriovenous fistula function without stent-related complications such as fracture, stenosis,or infection over a 14-month follow-up period.

ObjectiveTo observe the effects of electroacupuncture with "tonifying the kidney and dispelling stasis" acupoint prescription on sexual function in diabetic erectile dysfunction (DMED)model rats, and to explore its possible mechanism of action. MethodsSPF male SD rats were randomly divided into 10 each in blank group, model group, Tadalafil group, and electroacupuncture group. DMED rat model was prepared by high glucose and high fat diet combined with intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin. After successful modelling, rats in the electroacupuncture group were given electroacupuncture intervention of "tonifying the kidney and dispelling stasis" acupoint prescription once every other day; Tadalafil group was given Tadalafil solution 0.5 mg/kg·d by gavage, and the blank group, model group and electroacupuncture group were given 10 ml/kg pure water by gavage once a day. Each group was intervened for 30 days. The body mass and blood glucose level of the rats were detected on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd days and at the end of the intervention, respectively. At the end of the intervention, the penile erection of the rats was observed by using the apomorphine test; the level of plasma endothelial cell microparticles (EMPs)was detected by flow cytometry; the histopathological morphology of the penile cavernous body was observed by HE staining, and the pathological morphology of the endothelial cells of the penile vasculature was observed by electron microscopy. Serum sex hormones including testosterone (T), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinising hormone (LH) and vascular endothelial function-related factors including vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), endothelin-1 (ET-1), lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1), soluble E-selectin (sE-selectin), and soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAM-1) were measured by ELISA method. ResultsCompared with blank group, the model group, Tadalafil group, and electroacupuncture group all had lower body mass and higher blood glucose levels at each time of testing (P<0.01). Compared with the blank group, the number of penile erections reduced in the model group, the level of CD31+ EMPs increased, the levels of serum T, FSH, LH, and VEGF reduced, and the levels of serum ET-1, LOX-1, sE-selectin, and sICAM-1 increased (P<0.01). Compared with the model group, the Tadalafil group and the electroacupuncture group showed an increased number of penile erections decreased level of CD31+ EMPs, increased levels of serum T, FSH, LH, and VEGF, and decreased levels of serum ET-1, LOX-1, sE-selectin, and sICAM-1 (P<0.01). Compared with the Tadalafil group, serum T, FSH, LH, VEGF levels increased and ET-1, LOX-1 levels decreased in the electroacupuncture group (P<0.05 or P<0.01). HE staining and electron microscopic observation revealed that there was severe pathological damage to the cavernous tissue of the penis and vascular endothelial cells of the rat in the model group, which was ameliorated to a certain degree in both Tadalafil group and electroacupuncture group. ConclusionThe electroacupuncture prescription of "tonifying the kidney and dispelling stasis" can improve the erectile dysfunction of DMED rats, which is comparable to the effect of Tadalafi. Its mechanism of action may be related to the regulation of vascular endothelial function.

Objective:To gain an in-depth understanding of the career development of male nurses in China, analyze trends, challenges, and opportunities, and provide a basis for policy-making, talent cultivation, and professional development in the nursing field. Methods:A descriptive qualitative research method was adopted. From March 29th to July 30th, 2023, the heads of the male nurses working groups of nursing associations in 26 regions of China were selected by purposive sampling method for semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was used to analyze the data. Results:The current situation of the career development of male nurses in China could be summarized into the following three themes. (1) Current situation: the organizational structure of provincial-level male nurses work was basically complete, but there were obvious differences at the grassroots level; the work was carried out in various forms, and diverse models developed in coordination; (2) Trends: there were obvious stratifications in professional ideology and professional abilities of male nurses among different regions and different-level medical institutions; the gender dividend was gradually decreasing, and male nurses should give play to their advantages in logical thinking ability; (3) Prospects: early intervention was needed to enhance professional identity and organizational support; male nurses should be trained in various aspects through multiple forms such as counterpart assistance, expert databases or online academic forums; interdisciplinary development might be the key to stimulating internal driving force. Conclusions:Significant progress has been made in the career development of male nurses in China, but there are still challenges and issues to address. Further improvements in related policies, enhancement of social recognition and professional status, and increased investment and support in research and education are needed to promote the sustained development of male nursing careers.
