The Chinese Pharmacopoeia is the legal technical standard which should be followed during the research, production, use, and administration of drugs. At present, the new edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia is planned to be promulgated and implemented. This article summarizes and analyzes the main characteristics and the content of updates and amendments of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2025 Edition(Volume Ⅰ), to provide a reference for the correct understanding and accurate implementation the new edition of the pharmacopoeia.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) serves as a treasure trove of ancient knowledge, holding a crucial position in the medical field. However, the exploration of TCM's extensive information has been hindered by challenges related to data standardization, completeness, and accuracy, primarily due to the decentralized distribution of TCM resources. To address these issues, we developed a platform for TCM knowledge discovery (TCMKD, https://cbcb.cdutcm.edu.cn/TCMKD/). Seven types of data, including syndromes, formulas, Chinese patent drugs (CPDs), Chinese medicinal materials (CMMs), ingredients, targets, and diseases, were manually proofread and consolidated within TCMKD. To strengthen the integration of TCM with modern medicine, TCMKD employs analytical methods such as TCM data mining, enrichment analysis, and network localization and separation. These tools help elucidate the molecular-level commonalities between TCM and contemporary scientific insights. In addition to its analytical capabilities, a quick question and answer (Q&A) system is also embedded within TCMKD to query the database efficiently, thereby improving the interactivity of the platform. The platform also provides a TCM text annotation tool, offering a simple and efficient method for TCM text mining. Overall, TCMKD not only has the potential to become a pivotal repository for TCM, delving into the pharmacological foundations of TCM treatments, but its flexible embedded tools and algorithms can also be applied to the study of other traditional medical systems, extending beyond just TCM.

Objective To construct a trajectory model for the changes in body roundness index(BRI)of elderly people in China from 2011 to 2018 based on the data derived from Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey(CLHLS),and analyze the influencing factors of different BRI trajectories.Methods Based on the longitudinal cohort data from the CLHLS platform,group-based trajectory model(GBTM)analysis was used to construct longitudinal change trajectories of 3 waves of BRI(2011,2014,and 2018)that meet our research criteria.Unordered multinomial logistic regression analysis was employed to identify the influencing factors of different BRI trajectories.Results A total of 2 512 valid samples were included in the analysis.The BRI trajectory of Chinese elderly people fitted by GBTM was optimally grouped into low-,medium-,and high-level growth trajectory models.There were statistically significant differences among different BRI trajectory groups in gender,length of education,resident place,living with spouse,retirement pension,sleep quality,smoking history,drinking history,continuous exercise,frequency of fruit consumption,frequency of salt-preserved vegetables consumption,and"fruit+protein"dietary patterns(P<0.05).Disordered multiclass logistic regression analysis found that,using the low-level growth trajectory model as a reference,males and those with a history of smoking were less likely to exhibit moderate to high growth levels of BRI trajectories;Elderly people with retirement pensions were more likely to exhibit a moderate to high growth level of BRI trajectory;People with a history of alcohol consumption were more likely to exhibit a moderate steady growth level of BRI trajectory;People with longer than 10 years of education were less likely to exhibit a high level of growth in the BRI trajectory,while urban residents and those who frequently consumed fruits and salted vegetables were more likely to exhibit a high level of growth in the BRI trajectory.Conclusion The trajectory of BRI changes among elderly people in China from 2011 to 2018 can be divided into 3 groups,which are influenced by multiple factors such as gender,resident place,and length of education.It is necessary to pay attention to and make measures in advance to improve the quality of life in the elderly.Countermeasures It is advisable to incorporate BRI as a core indicator in elderly health monitoring systems,establish a dynamic management mechanism for high-risk populations,and implement precision-targeted lifestyle interventions and health guidance.

With reference to the Information and Documentation-Resource Description (GB/T 3792-2021) and Bibliographical Description for Ancient Chinese Books (GB/T 3792.7-2008) and other cataloging standards and rules, drawing on the practical experience of cataloging ancient TCM books, Bibliographical Cataloging for Ancient TCM Books was formulated. This standard specifies the entry items and their order of ancient TCM books, cataloging identifier, cataloging text, cataloging information source, and cataloging item details. The standard can provide standardized and unified guiding principles and methods for the work of ancient TCM books, and promote the sharing and utilization of ancient TCM books.

In recent years, the combined surgery of phacoemulsification, intraocular lens implantation, and goniosychialysis has gradually emerged as a primary and effective approach in treating primary angle-closure glaucoma with cataracts. However, with the continuous progress of medical technology, postoperative intraocular pressure control is no longer the sole pursuit. Patients increasingly aspire to achieve higher postoperative visual quality. In order to ensure that patients attain a better refractive status and higher visual quality postoperatively, it is essential to minimize the negative impact caused by primary angle-closure glaucoma. This involves personalized selection of different intraocular lenses or calculation formulas,etc. Evaluation metrics for visual quality encompass visual acuity, contrast sensitivity, higher-order aberrations, subjective perception, etc. Therefore, this paper provides a comprehensive review of postoperative refractive shift, higher-order aberrations, contrast sensitivity and their influencing factors, and the selection of intraocular lenses for patients undergoing combined surgery for primary angle-closure glaucoma with cataracts.

When partial nephrectomy is performed by posterior abdominal approach, the surgical field is poorly exposed, resulting in increased surgical difficulty and risk of injury.In this study, 28 patients with T 1a stage kidney tumors underwent retroperitoneal laparoscopic partial nephrectomy. Intraoperatively, exposure of the surgical field was achieved using the percutaneous puncture of the renal fascia suspension technique. There were no dissatisfactory exposures due to peritoneal damage during the surgery, no additional tubes were inserted, and no conversions to open surgery were needed. The operation time was (76.5±20.3) minutes, blood loss was (92.1±18.7) ml, renal artery clamping time was (19.5±4.3) minutes. Postoperatively, there were no complications such as bleeding, infection, or hematuria.

Objective:To investigate the effects of methyltransferases like 3(METTL3)mediated m6A modification of double homology cassette A pseudogene8(DUXAP8)on the proliferation,migration and invasion of salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma SACC-LM cells and its potential molecular mechanisms.Methods:Whole-transcriptome sequencing showed that DUXAP8 was highly ex-pressed in SACC than in para-cancerous tissues(P＜0.05).The m6A modification sites on DUXAP8 were predicted using the SRAMP website,and the mRNA and protein expression of m6A-modified genes and the genes associated with the epithelial-mesen-chymal transition(EMT)was measured by qRT-PCR and Western blot,respectively.METTL3 and DUXAP8 was knocked down or overexpressed in SACC-LM cells,and the proliferation,migration,and invasion of the cells were assessed by CCK-8,scratch and Transwell assays.The correlation between METTL3 and DUXAP8 was evaluated using MeRIP-qPCR.Results:The expression of DUXAP8 in SACC tumor was higher than that in para-cancerous tissues(P＜0.05).Knockdown of DUXAP8 reduced proliferation,migration and invasion of SACC-LM cells,as well as the expression of EMT-related genes(P＜0.05).Multiple m6A modification sites of high confidence were found on DUXAP8.METTL3 was highly expressed in tumor tissues,more than other related genes(P＜0.05)and enzyme-encoding genes in SACC-LM cells(P＜0.05).METTL3 was found to function as a methyltransferase to regulate the expression of DUX-AP8,and downregulation of METTL3 inhibited prolifera-tion,migration and invasion of SACC-LM cells and partially reversed the promotion of these activities induced by DUX-AP8 overexpression(P＜0.05).Conclusion:METTL3-me-diated m6A modification upregulated DUXAP8 expression,which promotes the proliferation,migration and invasion of SACC cells.

ObjectiveTo study the clinical efficacy of the Qingre Lishi Huazhuo method on patients with chronic gouty arthritis of dampness-heat obstruction syndrome and the effect on nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-like receptor 3（NLRP3）/interleukin-1β （IL-1β） signaling pathway to preliminarily explore its mechanism. MethodSixty patients with chronic gouty arthritis of dampness-heat obstruction syndrome were enrolled and divided into a treatment group （30 cases） and a control group （30 cases） according to the random number table method. Thirty people were assigned to the healthy group. Patients in the control group were treated with oral Febuxostat， while those in the treatment group were treated with modified Simiaosan combined with Febuxostat. Treatment lasted four weeks. The general clinical data， traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） syndrome scores， serum uric acid （UA）， serum creatinine （SCr）， blood urea nitrogen （BUN）， fasting blood glucose （FPG）， low-density lipoprotein （LDL）， triglyceride （TG）， total cholesterol （TC）， erythrocyte sedimentation rate （ESR）， and C-reactive protein （CRP） of patients were recorded. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA） was employed to measure the levels of IL-1β，TNF-α， and IL-6，and the levels of NLRP3，cysteinyl aspartate-specific protease-1 （Caspase-1）， and apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD （ASC） were detected by Western blot. ResultBefore treatment， the levels of body mass index （BMI）， systolic blood pressure （SBP），diastolic blood pressure （DBP），UA，SCr，BUN，FPG，LDL，TG，and TC in both groups significantly increased （P<0.05，P<0.01），and the levels of HDL significantly decreased as compared with those in the healthy group（P<0.05）. Additionally， the levels of IL-1β， TNF-α， and IL-6 in both groups significantly increased before treatment （P<0.01）. Compared with the results before treatment， patients in the two groups had significant reductions in tube pain， joint tenderness， joint swelling，joint fever， activity disorders， body fatigue， sliminess， bitter mouth， yellow and red urine， and tongue manifestation scores （P<0.05，P<0.01）. Compared with patients in the control group after treatment， those in the treatment group had a significant decrease in joint fever， body fatigue， sliminess， bitter mouth，sticky stool，yellow and red urine， tongue manifestation score， and pulse score （P<0.05）. The total effective rate in the treatment group was 80.0% （24/30）， higher than 56.7% （17/30）in the control group（χ²=11.916，P<0.05）. Compared with the results before treatment， BMI， SBP， DBP， UA， SCr， BUN， FPG， LDL， TG， TC， ESR，CRP， IL-1β， TNF-α， IL-6 levels， and VAS score in both groups significantly decreased （P<0.05，P<0.01）. Compared with patients in the control group after treatment， those in the treatment group had decreased DBP，ESR， IL-1β levels， and VAS score （P<0.05）. Western blot results showed that before treatment， the protein expression of NLRP3， Caspase-1， and ASC in peripheral blood mononuclear cells （PBMCs） of patients in both groups were higher than those in the healthy group （P<0.01）. Compared with the results before treatment， the protein expression of NLRP3， Caspase-1， and ASC in PBMCs in patients of both groups after treatment decreased （P<0.05，P<0.01）. Compared with the control group after treatment， the treatment group showed decreased expression levels of NLRP3 and Caspase-1（P<0.05）. ConclusionThe Qingre Lishi Huazhuo method can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and reduce inflammation of chronic gouty arthritis of dampness-heat obstruction syndrome with good safety. The mechanism may be related to the inhibition of the NLRP3/IL-1β signaling pathway.

Objective:To analyze the level of self-management and its influencing factors in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).Methods:A cross-sectional study. From January to December 2021, patients with SLE in the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected as the study objects by convenience sampling method. A total of 135 questionnaires were distributed in this study, 135 were recovered, and 128 were valid. The general data of the patients were collected, and the self-management level, self-efficacy, family care and meaning in life of the patients were evaluated with the chronic disease self-management behavior scale, general self-efficacy scale (GSES), family adaption partnership growth affection resolve index (APGAR) and the meaning in life questionnaire (MLQ). Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to explore the factors affecting the self-management of SLE patients.Results:The total score of chronic disease self-management behavior scale in the 128 SLE patients was (28.77±6.58) points. Pearson correlation analysis showed strong correlation between self-efficacy, sense of life meaning and self-management ( r=0.748, 0.717, both P<0.001), there was a moderate correlation between family care and self-management ( r=0.560, P<0.001). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that educational level ( β′=0.457), disease activity ( β′=-0.211), self-efficacy ( β′=-0.372), family care ( β′=-0.510), meaning in life ( β′=-0.386) were influencing factors of self-management level in patients with SLE (all P<0.05). Conclusions:The self-management level of SLE patients needs to be improved. Disease activity, self-efficacy, meaning in life and other factors can affect the patients′ self-management level.
