ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of modified Xiaoyaosan （JJXYS） on behavioral abnormalities and hippocampal mitochondrial quality control （MQC） in the rat model of post-myocardial infarction depression （PMD） and preliminarily explore its potential mechanism. MethodsA rat model of PMD was established by left anterior descending coronary artery ligation combined with chronic unpredictable mild stress （CUMS）. Rats were randomized into a control group， a model group， a fluoxetine （FLX， 10 mg·kg^-1） group， and low-， medium-， and high-dose JJXYS （JJXYS-L/M/H， 1.12， 2.24， 4.48 g·kg^-1， respectively） groups. Depressive-like behaviors were evaluated by body weight monitoring， sucrose preference test， open field test， and forced swimming test. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and Nissl staining were used to observe hippocampal histomorphology and neuronal changes. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was conducted to determine the serum levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine （5-HT）， dopamine （DA）， interleukin-1 beta （IL-1β）， interleukin-6 （IL-6）， and tumor necrosis factor-alpha （TNF-α）. The mRNA levels of MQC-related genes including peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma coactivator-1 alpha （PGC-1α）， nuclear respiratory factor 1 （Nrf1）， and transcription factor A， mitochondrial （TFAM） in the hippocampal tissue were measured by real-time PCR. The expression of proteins related to the dynamin-related protein 1 （Drp1）/PTEN-induced putative kinase 1 （PINK1）/Parkin signaling pathway was determined by Western blot. ResultsCompared with the control group， the model group showed restricted body weight gain， aggravated depressive-like behaviors， declined serum 5-HT and DA levels， evident hippocampal neuronal damage and reduced Nissl bodies， as well as downregulated expression of MQC-related genes and proteins （P<0.05）. Compared with the model group， both FLX and JJXYS alleviated the above changes to varying degrees. Moreover， the JJXYS-M and JJXYS-H groups showed more pronounced effects， improving behavioral performance， restoring 5-HT and DA levels， alleviating hippocampal pathological injury， and upregulating the expression of PGC-1α/Nrf1/TFAM mRNA and Drp1/PINK1/Parkin signaling pathway-related proteins （P<0.05）. ConclusionJJXYS can significantly alleviate depressive-like behaviors and neurotransmitter imbalance in the rat model of PMD by regulating hippocampal MQC and upregulating the Drp1/PINK1/Parkin-related pathway. This study provides experimental evidence for the intervention of PMD with JJXYS.

Objective This study aims to systematically evaluate the evidence-based medicine of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the treatment of dry eye,analyze its efficacy and differences compared with modern Western medicine treatments,and provide a scientific basis for clinical application.Methods By searching Chinese and English databases(including CNKI,Wanfang Data,PubMed,Cochrane Library,etc.),we included meta-analyses and systematic reviews of TCM treatments for dry eye.Literature was screened according to strict inclusion and exclusion criteria,and relevant data were extracted and integrated for analysis.The Mantel-Haenszel fixed-effects model was used to calculate the relative risk(RR)and mean difference(WMD),with the effect size expressed as a 95％confidence interval,to analyze the efficacy in-dicators of TCM treatment for dry eye.Results A total of 21 articles were finally included,involving various TCM inter-ventions for dry eye(such as Chinese herbal medicine,acupuncture,and TCM external therapies).The results showed that TCM treatment was superior to Western medicine alone in improving the overall clinical efficacy[RR=1.63,95％CI(1.46,1.81),P＜0.05],prolonging tear film break-up time[MD=2.23,95％CI(1.85,2.60),P＜0.05],and increasing tear secretion[MD=1.49,95％CI(1.04,1.94),P＜0.05].In addition,acupuncture,the combination of Chinese herbal medicine and Western medicine,and TCM external therapies all demonstrated unique advantages in improving dry eye symptoms and tear function.Conclusion TCM treatment for dry eye shows significant efficacy in key indicators such as overall clinical efficacy,tear film break-up time,and tear secretion,with a high level of safety.

Objective To compare the safety and feasibility of laparoscopic total extraperitoneal herniorrhaphy(TEP)and laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal prosthesis(TAPP)in the treatment of inguinal hernia.Methods This study adopts retrospective cohort study method.The clinical data of 107 cases of inguinal hernia treated by laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair in Minimally Invasive Surgery,Hernia and Abdominal Surgery of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Hospital from January 2014 to May 2024 were collected.According to the surgical methods,they were divided into two groups:38 cases in the TEP group and 69 cases in the TAPP group.Compare and analyze the differences between TEP group and TAPP group in basic situation,operation,postoperative recovery,operation cost,postoperative inflammation index,liver and kidney function evaluation index.Results The time to start getting out of bed after surgery in the TEP group and the TAPP group was(14.55±1.95)h and(16.12±3.11)h,respectively(P=0.006).The recovery times of gastrointestinal function were(22.11±4.94)h and(24.61±4.88)h respectively(P=0.013).There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in postoperative inflammation,liver and kidney function,postoperative complications and recurrence(P＞0.05).Conclusion Both TEP and TAPP are safe and feasible in the treatment of inguinal hernia.After TEP,the time to get out of bed was shorter and the intestinal function recovered faster.

Objective To explore the mechanism of Tongdu Xingshen acupuncture,the clinical efficacy,systemic inflammatory response,blood-brain barrier and intestinal flora in patients with cognitive impairment after ischemic stroke(IS)were studied.Methods Thirty patients(3 cases shedding)with cognitive impairment after IS were included as the disease group,including patients before treatment as the disease group,patients after Tongdu Xingshen acupuncture treatment as the electroacupuncture group,and 30 healthy controls(3 cases shedding)were included as the healthy group.In the electroacupuncture group,on the basis of the basic treatment,Tongdu Xingshen acupuncture was applied,which was 30 min each time,once a day for 14 days.The MMSE,MoCA and MBI scores of the three groups were observed.The fecal and serum samples from all study subjects were collected,and 16S rDNA sequencing technology and ELISA were used to detect the changes of proinflammatory factors IL-6,IL-1β,TNF-α and S100β in serum in intestinal flora and feces.Results Compared with the healthy group,the MMSE,MoCA,and MBI score of patients in the disease group decreased significantly(P<0.05),serum proinflammatory factors and S100β protein content increased significantly(P<0.05),and the Shannon index(P<0.01)and Simpson index(P<0.001)increased significantly.Compared with the disease group,the MMSE,MoCA,and MBI score of the EA group increased significantly(P<0.05),the serum levels of proinflammatory factors and S100β decreased significantly(P<0.05),Shannon index and Simpson index decreased(P>0.05).The dominant bacterial flora in the healthy group mainly included Bacteroides,Bifidobacterium,Bacteroides,Faecalibacterium,Bifidobacteriaceae,Ruminococcaceae,and Bacteroides and other beneficial bacteria(P<0.05).The dominant flora in the disease group included Proteobacteria,Enterobacteriaceae,Escherichia,Klebsiella and other opportunistic bacteria(P<0.05),while the dominant flora in the EA group was consistent with the healthy group,the relative abundance of beneficial bacteria increased significantly(P<0.05),and the relative abundance of opportunistic bacteria decreased significantly(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis found that beneficial bacteria were positively correlated with clinical efficacy related indicators,but with serum proinflammatory factors and the content of S100β was negatively correlated.Conclusion Tongdu Xingshen acupuncture can regulate the diversity of intestinal flora to increase the abundance of Bacteroides,Bifidobacterium,Faecalibacterium,and other beneficial bacteria,regulate the intestinal microecological balance,Thereby regulating systemic inflammation and blood-brain barrier function,which plays a role in improving cognitive function.

Background The job content of aircraft maintenance workers is complex, with high intensity and high requirements, and they are prone to work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs), but related research is relatively rare. Objective To investigate the positive rate of WMSDs among aircraft maintenance workers, evaluate ergonomic load, and analyze the risk factors of WMSDs. Methods We used a self-compiled questionnaire for WMSDs and the Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) to investigate the basic situation, positive rate of WMSDs, and the ergonomic load of 2271 male maintenance workers in 6 departments of an aircraft maintenance company, including airline maintenance, overall overhaul, accessory/landing gear overhaul, engine overhaul, product customization, and power assist. We used a logistic regression model to analyze the risk factors of WMSDs in the neck, shoulder, hand/wrist, and lower back. Results The positive rate of WMSDs in the past 12 months was 70.4% (1598/2271) and the positive rate of WMSDs in different body parts ranged from 6.6% to 49.5%, with the top three parts of lower back, neck, and knee, respectively. There were statistically significant differences in the positive rate among different departments (P<0.05). The average QEC scores for neck, hand/wrist, and back (static) were moderate, while those for shoulder and back (dynamic) were high, and the body part specific positive rate of WMSDs increased with the increase of ergonomic load level. Working years (5-<10 years, ≥20 years), working with back flexed or twisted or side bent (moderately, excessively), high maximum force level exerted by one hand, and feeling difficult (sometimes, often) and stressful (moderately, very) while working were associated with higher risks of lower back pain (OR=1.486, 1.505; 2.151, 3.769; 1.637; 2.110, 2.407; 1.637, 1.794; P<0.05). Working years (15-<20 years, ≥20 years), working with head/neck bent or twisted (occasionally, continuously), feeling difficult (sometimes) and stressful (very) while working were associated with higher risks of neck pain (OR=1.731, 1.586; 3.732, 8.341; 1.633; 1.696; P<0.05). Working years (15-<20 years, ≥20 years), working with hands in a high position (at shoulder or above), very frequent shoulder/arm movements, feeling difficult (sometimes, often) and stressful (moderately, very) while working were associated with higher risks of shoulder pain (OR=1.587, 1.709; 1.299; 1.521; 1.643, 2.239; 1.659, 1.977; P<0.05). Working with wrist at deviated or bent angle, high repetition of similar movements, feeling difficult (sometimes, often) and stressful (moderately, very) while working were associated with higher risks of hand/wrist pain (OR=1.692; 1.670; 1.827, 2.884; 2.190, 2.625; P <0.05) . Physical exercise after work (≥3 times·week⁻¹) was associated with a lower risk of neck pain (OR=0.582, P<0.05). Shift workers were at a lower risk of shoulder pain and hand/wrist pain (OR=0.737 and 0.554, P<0.05). Conclusion The high positive rate of WMSDs symptoms among aircraft maintenance workers is related to individual, occupational ergonomic, and psychological factors, and active prevention and intervention should be taken.

Objective:To investigate the value of 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)in the assessment for clinically pathologic features of prostate cancer(PCa).Methods:The case data of 102 PCa patients who were confirmed by histology in The Second Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical University from April 2020 to July 2024 were retrospectively analyzed.51 PCa patients of them were included in cancer group,and 51 patients with prostatic hyperplasia were included in hyperplasia group.Multi-parametric MRI was implemented in all patients.Imaging performance was scored by using Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System version 2.1(PI-RADS v2.1).The distribution of scores between the two groups was compared and analyzed.The correlations between the PI-RADS v2.1 scores and PCa clinically pathological features which included Gleason scores,serum prostate specific antigen(PSA)level,tumor staging and aggressiveness were analyzed and explored by using Spearman correlation analysis.The diagnostic efficacy of the 3.0T MRI technique for PCa was analyzed by using the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Results:The PI-RADS v2.1 score of cancer group was 4(4,5)scores,which was significantly higher than 2(3,4)scores of hyperplasia group,and the difference of that between two groups was significant(U=369.5,P<0.05).The rate of high scores(4,5 scores)of cancer group was more than that of hyperplasia group in the distribution of scores,and the difference of that between two groups was significant(x2=51.220,P<0.05).In patients of cancer group,PI-RADS v2.1 score showed significant correlation with serum PSA level,Gleason score,tumor staging and aggressiveness(P<0.05),respectively,and they were significant(r=0.815,0.723,0.693,P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under curve(AUC)value of PI-RADS v2.1 score was 0.858(95%CI:0.783-0.932)in diagnosing PCa,which can effectively distinguish PCa and prostate hyperplasia.It had higher diagnostic efficacy,which was higher than that of serum PSA.Conclusions:3.0T MRI has favorable accuracy in diagnosing PCa,and it can be used as a noninvasive test method to diagnose and assess pathological features of tumor.

Objective:To investigate the status of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) in male large-scale mechanical maintenance workers, and to explore the relationship between WMSDs and thyroid indexes.Methods:From April to July 2022, male front-line maintenance workers in a large-scale mechanical maintenance enterprise who participated in occupational health examination were selected as the study subjects ( n=2036). The occurrence of WMSDs was investigated by questionnaire. The levels of triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4) and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in serum were detected. χ2 test, t-test and Mann-Whitney U test were used to detect thyroid diseases and hormone levels of workers in WMSDs group and non-WMSDs group, and binary logistic regression model was used to analyze the relationship between thyroid disease, T3, T4, TSH and WMSDs. Results:The incidence of WMSDs among the male large-scale mechanical maintenance workers was 73.18% (1490/2036). The rate of thyroid disease in WMSDs group was higher than that in non-WMSDs group [8.26% (123/1490) vs. 4.95% (27/546), χ 2=6.42, P=0.011], and the TSH value was lower than that in non-WMSDs group[1.66 (1.23, 2.26) μIU/ml vs. 1.75 (1.30, 2.42) μIU/ml, Z=-2.40, P=0.019]. There were no significant differences in the levels of T3, T4 and abnormal levels of 3 hormones between the two groups ( P>0.05). After accounting for individual and occupational factors, workers with thyroid disease had an increased risk of WMSDs ( OR=1.656, 95% CI: 1.072-2.559, P=0.023), while workers with increased TSH had a decreased risk of WMSDs ( OR=0.897, 95% CI: 0.823-0.977, P=0.013) . Conclusion:The incidence of WMSDs in male workers of large-scale mechanical maintenance is high, and its incidence may be related to thyroid index. Thyroid disease may be a risk factor for WMSDs, and increased TSH may be a protective factor for WMSDs.
