Objective:To establish a mouse model of spinal cord injury(SCI),and to investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA)intervention on cell apoptosis after acute SCI and its mechanism.Methods:Female C57BL/6 mice were used to establish a model of SCI,and after successful modeling,the mice were randomly divided into SCI group,EA group,and Rosiglitazone group(R group);a sham-operation group(Sham group)was also established.After successful modeling,the mice in the EA group were given EA at bilat-eral Jiaji points and Zusanli once a day for 14 days,those in the R ture,and the number of surviving cells.The EA group and the R group had a significant reduction in the expression of caspase-3 and significant increases in the expression of PPARγ and CD36,and the EA group had significant reductions in the expression of Hba-a1 and Hbb-bt.In addition,RNA-Seq and TMT/iTRAQ techniques,significant analysis,Venn analysis,and dual-omics analysis identi-fied Hba-a1 and Hbb-bt as the target genes of EA.The KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed that EA had a significant effect on the PPAR signaling pathway.Conclusion:By regulating the PPARγ-CD36 signaling pathway,EA can promote the clearance of Hba-a1 and Hbb-bt after SCI,reduce the expression level of caspase-3,alleviate cell apoptosis,and facilitate the recovery of spinal cord nerve function.

Candida albicans is one of the major causes of invasive fungal infections and a serious opportunistic pathogen in immunocompromised individuals. The antimicrobial peptide AMP-17 has prominent anti-Candida activity, and proteomic analysis revealed significant differences in the expression of cell wall (XOG1) and oxidative stress (SRR1) genes upon the action of AMP-17 on C. albicans, suggesting that AMP-17 may exert anti-C. albicans effects by affecting the expression of XOG1 and SRR1 genes. To further investigate whether XOG1 and SRR1 genes were the targets of AMP-17, C. albicans xog1Δ/Δ and srr1Δ/Δ mutants were constructed using the clustered regulatory interspaced short palindromic repeats-associated protein 9 (CRISPR/Cas9) system. Phenotypic observations revealed that deletion of two genes had no significant effect on C. albicans growth and biofilm formation, whereas XOG1 gene deletion affected in vitro stress response and mycelium formation of C. albicans. Drug sensitivity assay showed that the MIC₈₀ values of AMP-17 against xog1Δ/Δ and srr1Δ/Δ mutants increased from 8 μg/mL (for the wild type C. albicans SC5314) to 16 μg/mL, while the MIC₈₀ values against srr1Δ/Δ: : srr1 revertants decreased to the level of the wild type SC5314. In addition, the ability of AMP-17 to inhibit biofilm formation of both deletion strains was significantly reduced compared to that of wild type SC5314, indicating that the susceptibility of the deletion mutants to AMP-17 was reduced in both the yeast state and during biofilm formation. These results suggest that XOG1 and SRR1 genes are likely two of the potential targets for AMP-17 to exert anti-C. albicans effects, which may facilitate further exploration of the antibacterial mechanism of novel peptide antifungal drugs.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of a new kind of nasogastric feeding registration form based on energy intake in perioperative nutrition support for patients with oral cancer. Methods: According to the specification of nasal feeding and summarizing the ingredients in common foods, the form was optimized and applied. By the cluster sampling method, the knowledge about energy intake of 12 nurses were investigated before and after the use of the form. The accuracy of energy intake assessment of 5 patients by 12 nurses respectively and the time required for single registration was compared before and after the use. Meanwhile, the knowledge about nasal feeding of 18 patients before the use and 17 patients after the use was compared. Results: The mean score of knowledge about energy intake of nurses was 57.50±17.77 before the use, which was lower than that after the use (89.00 ±6.18), the accuracy rate before the use (61.67%, 37/60) was lower than that after the use (93.33%, 56/60), and the mean time was (18.16 ±6.26) s, which was longer than that after the use (12.65 ±5.67) s (t=17.317, χ²=17.252 and t=22.445 respectively, all P<0.01). The mean score of knowledge about nasal feeding before the use (69.44 ±15.89) was lower than that after the use (86.47±11.15)(t=-3.649, P=0.001). All difference showed statistical significance. Conclusion The nasal feeding registration form based on energy intake is clear and easy to fill out. It can not only help the medical staff calculate the energy intake of patients more accurately, but also help formulate nutritional intervention plan and promote the recovery of patients. Meanwhlie, It shortens the writing time and improves the effect of education. In conclusion, it is worth being popularized.
