OBJECTIVE To systematically analyze the trends in the volume and value of out-licensing deals by Chinese biopharmaceutical companies over the past two decades, and to quantitatively identify factors associated with deal value, thereby providing an evidence base for policymakers and corporate managers. METHODS Based on the PharnexCloud database, information on out-licensing deals disclosed by Chinese biopharmaceutical companies between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2025 was collected, and executed deals with disclosed specific financial terms were included for analysis. Descriptive statistical analyses of deal value, product characteristics and deal characteristics were performed using Stata SE 18.0; with the natural logarithm of deal value as the dependent variable, stepwise multiple regression models were constructed to examine the associations of product and deal characteristics with deal value. RESULTS A total of 210 out-licensing deals were included, with a cumulative deal value of approximately 214.151 billion dollars and a mean deal value of 1.020 billion dollars . The trading market expanded rapidly from 2020 onward, with the annual deal value reaching a record 95.687 billion dollars in 2025. Multiple regression analysis showed that the deal value of products at the drug discovery stage was significantly lower than that at the preclinical stage [regression coefficient ( β ) =-1.995, 95% confidence interval (CI): -3.256 to -0.734, P <0.05 ] ; the deal value of oncology products was significantly higher than that of other therapeutic areas ( β =0.828, 95%CI: 0.224 to 1.431, P <0.05); global licensing ( β =1.690, 95%CI: 1.107 to 2.273, P <0.05) and co-development arrangements ( β =0.849, 95%CI: 0.084 to 1.615, P <0.05) were significantly associated with higher deal value. CONCLUSIONS Out-licensing deals by Chinese biopharmaceutical companies have achieved significant growth in both volume and value over the past two decades. Oncology products, global licensing, and co-development arrangements are significantly and positively associated with higher deal value.

This study analyzed the epidemiological characteristics of imported malaria in Yunnan Province from 2020 to 2023,to provide scientific evidence for formulating measures to decrease imported malaria and prevent re-establishment of malaria transmission.Malaria data reported by the China Disease Prevention and Control Information System were analyzed to determine parasite species;sources of infection;temporal, spatial, and population distributions;and importation routes.A total of 828 malaria cases were reported in the province.Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium falciparum accounted for 89.98%and 8.33%of cases, respectively.A total of 47.58%of cases were imported from Myanmar, and all P.falciparum malaria ca-ses were from Africa.Thirteen(81.25%)prefectures or municipalities reported malaria, among which Dehong,Baoshan,Kunming, and Lincang reported 94.32%of cases.A total of 52.54%of cases were in young men.The proportion of cross-bor-der personnel flow, land input, and aircraft input were 88.89%and 11.11%respectively.A total of 98.19%of patients sought medical care within 7 days after fever onset, and 82.85%initiated diagnosis for malaria, and 84.90%of diagnoses were con-firmed by health facilities at or below the county level.Imported malaria is a major challenge in preventing re-establishment of transmission in Yunnan. Most imported cases involved cross-border malaria transmission of mainly Plasmodium vivax between China and Myanmar. To achieve malaria elimination, vigilance of health staff in malaria diagnosis and treatment should be pro-moted,and intensive malaria health education should be provided to people traveling to malaria endemic territories,to enable individual protection, and timely diagnosis and treatment after return from endemic countries.

Patent foramen ovale(PFO)demonstrates significant comorbidity with migraine, but its causal relationship and the efficacy of transcatheter closure remain controversial. This systematic review examines potential biomarkers and relevant imaging assessments for PFO-associated migraine, aiming to provide a theoretical foundation for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Key biomarkers include platelet activation markers, calcitonin gene-related peptide, homocysteine, and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio.Imaging evaluations encompass right-to-left shunt grading(transthoracic echocardiography, transcranial Doppler ultrasound),cerebrovascular breath-holding index, characteristics of white matter hyperintensities, alterations in resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(rs-f-MRI)brain networks,in-situ thrombi detected by optical coherence tomography, and electroencephalogram(EEG)power spectral features.Research indicates that integrating biomarkers with imaging technologies enhances diagnostic discrimination and treatment outcome prediction.Current challenges include unclear causal relationships and insufficient standardization of detection methods.Future efforts require multidisciplinary collaboration to establish personalized diagnostic and therapeutic frameworks through multimodal indicators, thereby advancing precise prevention and treatment strategies for PFO-related migraine.

Aim To investigate the antidepressant mechanism of hyperforin via the utilization of single-cell sequencing technology. Methods C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into the control group,depres-sion model group, and hyperforin intervention group. The chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS)model was induced and drug interventions were administered for 28 d.Behavioral experiments were conducted to as-sess depressive symptoms, and hippocampal tissue was collected for single-cell RNA sequencing.Key cell populations and differentially expressed genes across groups were identified, followed by PPI network,GO,and KEGG enrichment analysis. Results Behavioral experiments indicated that CUMS successfully induced depressive symptoms in mice, while hyperforin im-proved depressive behavior. In the depression model group, the proportion of brain perivascular macrophages(PVM)increased, and this proportion decreased after hyperforin intervention, approaching the level seen in the control group. The top 20 common differentially ex-pressed genes in the PVM subpopulation were Saa3,Hbb-bs and Ccl24.PPI network analysis identified core targets, including Ccl2,Dhx9,C3,Msr1,Cxcl2 and Cx3cr1.KEGG enrichment analysis revealed pathways related to chemokines, phagosome formation, and inosi-tol phosphate metabolism. Conclusion The antide-pressant mechanism of hyperforin may be related to the regulation of Ccl24 and its related chemokine signaling pathway by PVM.
