Objective To explore the distribution of common TCM syndromes and symptoms of insomnia; To prepare for the construction of the theoretical framework and item pool of syndrome diagnosis and efficacy evaluation scale. Methods TCM guideline standards of insomnia, textbooks and journals over the years were retrieved, the information of TCM syndromes, syndrome elements and symptoms was extracted, the guideline textbook and journal database were established, and descriptive statistics, association rules, systematic clustering, factor analysis, potential categories and implicit structure analysis were carried out. Results Totally 116 guide standards and textbooks over the years were included, and 454 articles of journals were included. The high-frequency symptoms accounted for≥3%of the guide textbooks and journal databases were 87 and 79 categories, respectively, and the cumulative proportion was 87.48%and 87.75%,respectively.According to the analysis results, five common TCM syndromes and their characteristic symptom classification of insomnia were finally deduced.According to the frequency/person time distribution, they were heart and spleen deficiency syndrome, yin deficiency and fire hyperactivity syndrome, liver fire disturbing heart syndrome, phlegm heat disturbing heart syndrome, heart and gallbladder qi deficiency syndrome. Conclusion There are five common TCM syndromes of insomnia, and the characteristic symptoms of each TCM syndrome provide a reference source for the theoretical framework of syndrome diagnosis and efficacy evaluation scale and the establishment of item pool.

Objective:To explore the application effect of BOPPPS (Bridge-in, Objectives, Pre-assessment, Participatory learning, Post-assessment, and Summary) combined with scenario simulation in cultivating the humanistic care ability of undergraduate nursing interns. Methods:Undergraduate nursing students who were interning at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected by convenience sampling. The 46 interns from June to December 2023 were set as the control group, and the 46 interns from June to December 2024 were set as the experimental group. The control group adopted the traditional lecture-based teaching method, while the experimental group adopted BOPPPS combined with scenario simulation. Theoretical and practical scores, humanistic care ability, empathy ability, and critical thinking ability of the two groups were compared. Results:After the intervention, the theoretical and practical scores, as well as humanistic care ability, empathy ability, and critical thinking ability scores of the experimental group were all higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:BOPPPS combined with scenario simulation plays a positive role in improving theoretical and practical scores, humanistic care ability, empathy ability, and critical thinking ability of undergraduate nursing interns, and it is worthy of further promotion and application.

UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A9 (UGT1A9) is a major phase II enzyme responsible for elimination of drugs and endogenous molecules. Clinical data have shown increased elimination of UGT1A9 substrates in pregnant women or oral contraceptive users, but the role of estrogen in the regulation of UGT1A9 expression remains unknown. In this study, we investigated the effect of 17-estradiol (E2) on UGT1A9 expression and the role of ERin the transcriptional regulation of UGT1A9. E2 significantly increased UGT1A9 promoter activity in HepG2 cells in the presence of ER. UGT1A9 induction by E2 was abrogated by antiestrogen ICI182,780 in HepG2 cells that constitutively express ER. Results from transient transfection of ERmutants into HepG2 cells demonstrated that mutation at DNA-binding domain of ERabrogates increased UGT1A9 promoter activity by E2. Deletion and mutation assays of UGT1A9 promoter revealed a putative ERE located within -2262/-1987 region. Examination of healthy human liver tissues revealed significantly higher UGT1A9 expression in women as compared to men. Together, these findings provide a mechanistic basis for the previous clinical reports and may shed a light on identifying sources for inter-individual variability in UGT1A9-mediated drug metabolism.
