Cancer is a highly deadly disease, with breast cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, and ovarian cancer being the most prevalent in women. However, traditional cancer treatments present challenges due to their strong toxic side effects and adverse reactions. Numerous studies have demonstrated that natural products derived from various plants possess therapeutic and preventive properties against cancer. These phytochemicals have been extensively investigated as a potential alternative to conventional chemotherapy drugs, owing to their safety and efficacy. This article provides a comprehensive review of the recent advances in the chemoprevention and mechanisms of phytochemicals against the four major female cancers. The focus will be on how these phytochemicals regulate cancer cell proliferation, apoptosis, invasion, and metastasis to impede cancer progression. Given their extensive clinical applications, phytochemicals hold great promise in the field of cancer treatment. It hopes that this review will inspire more researchers to explore the potential of these natural compounds in combating female cancers.

Objective The purpose of this study was to provide a more effective method for researching the prevention and treatment of Graves'disease by comparing the effects of two plasmid vectors expressing the human thyrotropin receptor(TSHR)A subunit gene in inducing an animal model of Graves'disease via electroporation. Methods Plasmids pcDNA3.1-THSR A,and pTriEx1.1-THSR A expressing the TSHR A subunit were constructed and used to induce Graves'disease by intramuscular injection with immediate electroporation once every 3 weeks for a total of 4 times.Mice in the control group were injected with PBS.One week after the second electroporation, blood was collected to measure serum thyrotropin receptor antibody(TRAb).Three weeks following the last electroporation, echocardiography was performed on the mice.Mice were sacrificed 4 weeks after the last electroporation;blood, thyroid, and orbital tissues were collected;serum total thyroxine(TT4)was measured;and histological examination was performed. Results The average concentrations of serum TRAb in the pcDNA3.1-TSHR A group(n=15)and the pTriEx1.1-TSHR A group(n=13)were(6.9±2.0)U/L and(7.5±2.2)U/L,respectively.The latter was significantly higher than that in the control group(4.9±0.5)U/L(P=0.033).The average concentrations of serum TT4 in the pcDNA3.1-TSHR A group and pTriEx1.1-TSHR A group were(41.4±23.8)ng/mL and(63.2±53.7)ng/mL,respectively,both higher than that in the control group:(20.2±4.0)ng/mL(P<0.01).Thyroid pathology showed thyroid follicular epithelial hyperplasia with T-cell infiltration in the model group.Echocardiography showed that the left ventricle mass in the pTriEx1.1-TSHR A group was higher than those in the control group(P=0.007)and pcDNA3.1-TSHR A group(P=0.012).Orbital pathology showed fibrotic changes in the extraocular muscles of mice in the model groups. Conclusions Both pcDNA3.1 and pTriEx1.1 expressing the TSHR A subunit were able to induce Graves'disease in mice by electroporation, and the efficiency of the two plasmids in inducing hyperthyroidism and Graves'ophthalmopathy was similar. The efficiency of pTriEx 1.1-TSHR A in inducing thyrotoxic heart disease was better than that of pcDNA3.1-TSHR A.

The problems of non-standard use of pesticides, and excessive pesticide residues and excessive heavy metal, etc. are common in the productive process of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) and they are the factors restricting the sustainable development of safflower industry. Pollution-free production is an effective measure to ensure high quality of safflower. This paper summarized the environment of production area, selection of improved varieties for the production in the local places and its characteristics, the standardized comprehensive agronomic management and pollution-free rational fertilization technology. Additionally, the pollution-free control of safflower pests and diseases should follow the principle of priority to prevention and comprehensive prevention. Agricultural, biological and physical control should be preferred to use, and be combined with safe and low toxicity of chemical control. The standardization and industrialization of safflower production were realized by the construction of a comprehensive control technology system of pests and diseases of pollution-free safflower, which promoted the healthy development of the safflower plantation industry and achieved pollution-free standards.

Objective To investigate the expression variation of aquaporin in colon tissues in acute necrotizing pancreatitis (ANP).Methods ANP rat model was induced by the retrograde injection of sodium taurocholate into the biliopancreatic duct. The rats were killed at 4 h, 8 h, 12 h and 24 h after modeling with 6 rats for each time point. The pancreas and colon tissues were harvested for pathological examination. The levels of IL-6, TNF-α mRNA expression and AQR (aquaporin-3, aquaporin-4, aquaporin-8) mRNA expression in proximal and distant colon were detected by RT-PCR.The levels of aquaporin protein in colon were examined by immunohistochemistry. Results After the establishment of ANP SD rat model, the integrity of colonic mucosa was continuously damaged, the structure of epithelial cells was unclear and the colonic villus were broken and destroyed, and inflammatory cell infiltration in submucosa was observed. The pathological score increased with the time of modeling. In 4 h, except that the mRNA levels of AQP-4 in distal colon was not obviously changed, mRNA levels of IL-6 and TNF-α, mRNA and protein expression of AQP-3 and AQP-8 in the proximal and distal colon of ANP rats were significantly elevated compared with shame group (P<0.05).AQP-3 and AQP-8 mRNA in proximal colon of ANP rats reached its peak in 8 h after the establishment and AQP-4 mRNA peaked at 24 h.AQP-3 and AQP-4 mRNA in distant colon of ANP rats reached its peak in 8 h after the establishment and AQP-8 mRNA peaked at 24 h.Protein expression of AQP-3, AQP-4 and AQP-8 in proximal and distant colon was strongest in 12 h and 24 h after the establishment. Conclusions With the progression of the ANP, the expression levels of AQP-3, AQP-4 and AQP-8 in both proximal and distal colons were elevated in various degrees, indicating that the aquaporins may participate in water metabolism of colon during ANP.
