ObjectiveTo compare the protective effects of water extracts from fresh and dried Dendrobium huoshanense on gastric mucosa in chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG). MethodsMale SD rats (n=72) were randomly divided into 9 groups, with 8 rats in each group, which were normal group, model group, Yangwei Shu (4 g·kg-1) group, low-, medium-, and high-dose fresh D. huoshanense (3.5, 7, and 14 g·kg-1) groups, and low-, medium-, and high-dose dried D. huoshanense (0.7, 1.4, 2.8 g·kg-1) groups. The CAG rat model was successfully established by inducing with N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (MNNG) and other factors for a total of 11 weeks. Then, the rats were intervened with fresh and dried D. huoshanense for 4 weeks. The serum and gastric tissues of the rats were collected. The changes in gastric juice secretion volume and gastric acid pH value in each group were observed. The gastric mucosal injury was observed by naked eyes and hematoxylin-eosin(HE) staining. The gastric mucus secretion level was determined by Alcian blue and periodic acid-Schiff staining(AB-PAS) staining. The expression levels of tight junction proteins Occludin and ZO-1 in gastric tissues were determined by immunofluorescence. The expression levels of serum pepsinogen Ⅰ (PG Ⅰ), pepsinogen Ⅱ (PG Ⅱ), gastrin 17 (G-17), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The expression levels of aquaporin 1 (AQP1), aquaporin 3 (AQP3), and aquaporin 4 (AQP4) in gastric tissues were determined by Western blot. ResultsCompared with the normal group, the model group showed an obviously reduced gastric juice secretion volume (P0.05), significantly increased gastric acid pH value (P0.01), gastric mucosa with obvious atrophy, and a significantly reduced gastric mucus secretion volume (P0.01). The expression of Occludin and ZO-1 in the gastric mucosal barrier was significantly decreased (P0.01). The levels of PG Ⅰ and PG Ⅱ in the serum were obviously decreased (P0.05, P0.01), and the levels of G-17, IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α were significantly increased (P0.01). The expression level of AQP1 in the gastric tissue was significantly upregulated (P0.01), and the expression levels of AQP3 and AQP4 were significantly downregulated (P0.01). Compared with the model group, each drug administration group could improve the gastric mucosal atrophy of CAG model rats to varying degrees, obviously increase the gastric juice secretion volume of the model rats (P0.05, P0.01), significantly decrease the gastric acid pH value (P0.01), obviously increase the gastric mucus secretion volume (P0.05, P0.01), obviously decrease the expression levels of G-17, IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α (P0.05, P0.01), obviously increase the expression levels of Occludin, ZO-1, PG Ⅰ, and PG Ⅱ (P0.05, P0.01), obviously upregulate the expression levels of AQP3 and AQP4 (P0.05, P0.01), and obviously downregulate the expression level of AQP1 (P0.05, P0.01). ConclusionThe water extracts of fresh and dried D. huoshanense can exert therapeutic effects on CAG by improving gastric mucosal injury, reducing inflammation, and regulating water metabolism. Moreover, the dried D. huoshanense has a better effect.

Objective Recent studies have indicated potential anti-inflammatory effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists(GLP-1RAs)on asthma, which is often comorbid with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and obesity. Therefore,we conducted a meta-analysis to assess the association between the administration of glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)receptor-based agonists and the incidence of asthma in patients with T2DM and/or obesity. Methods PubMed,Web of Science,Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and Clinicaltrial.gov were systematically searched from inception to July 2023.Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of GLP-1 receptor-based agonists(GLP-1RA,GLP-1 based dual and triple receptor agonist)with reports of asthma events were included.Outcomes were computed as risk ratios(RR)using a fixed-effects model. Results Overall,39 RCTs with a total of 85,755 participants were included.Compared to non-GLP-1 receptor-based agonist users,a trend of reduced risk of asthma was observed in patients with T2DM or obesity using GLP-1 receptor-based agonist treatments, although the difference was not statistically significant[RR=0.91,95%confidence interval(CI):0.68 to 1.24].Further Subgroup analyses indicated that the use of light-molecular-weight GLP-1RAs might be associated with a reduced the risk of asthma when compared with non-users(RR=0.65,95%CI:0.43 to 0.99,P=0.043).We also performed sensitivity analyses for participant characteristics, study design, drug structure, duration of action, and drug subtypes. However,no significant associations were observed. Conclusion Compared with non-users,a modest reduction in the incidence of asthma was observed in patients with T2DM or obesity using GLP-1 receptor-based agonist treatments.Further investigations are warranted to assess the association between GLP-1 receptor-based agonists and the risk of asthma.

Currently, the application rate of virtual reality technology in the fields of medical education and medical treatment is relatively low. In this study, based on the structure of the human stomach, virtual reality technology, sensing technology, big data technology, and cloud computing technology were integrated. A new form of medical education was established to include the online website platform for data storage and analysis and the offline VR glasses for the physical operation. Through the use of 3d Max technology, Unity3D technology, and C# language, we constructed a three-dimensional model of the human stomach to present the stomach in three dimensions. This enables the users to immerse in it to achieve true human-computer interactive learning. This study updates the concept of medical education, effectively improves the quality and efficiency of medical education, and facilitates the development of surgical programs and reduction in the risk of surgery, as well as provides experimental materials for scientific research. In the future, it can be further developed to include the three-dimensional structures of the circulatory system and other major systems in the human body.

Objective:To analyze the incidence and prognosis of epilepsy in frontotemporal lobe glioma. Methods:The clinical data of 208 patients with frontotemporal lobe gliomas in Sanbo Brain Hospital Capital Medical University from 2019 to 2021 were analyzed retrospectively. According to the 2016 World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumors of the central nervous system, the incidence of epilepsy, Modified Rankin Scale (MRS) score, and Engel Outcome Scale of patients with different grades of tumors were calculated. Results:Among all the patients with frontotemporal lobe gliomas, there was more males than females, and it was more common in the 40 -59 age group. The incidence of epilepsy associated with WHO grade Ⅰand Ⅱ glioma was 100.0% (33/33) and 60.9% (14/23), respectively, while that of WHO grade Ⅳ glioma was 19.0%(19/100). The average follow-up time was (22 ± 9) months. During the follow-up period, the incidence of WHO grade Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ glioma-related epilepsy decreased significantly. There was no significant difference in the incidence of glioma-related epilepsy between the total and subtotal resection groups ( P>0.05). There was no statistical correlation between the side of tumor occurrence and the occurrence of epilepsy ( P>0.05), also between the gene phenotype and the occurrence of epilepsy ( P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the Engel Outcome Scale among different grades of gliomas ( P>0.05). The prognosis of patients with Engel Outcome Scale Class 1 was significantly better than that of other grades. Conclusions:The incidence of glioma-related epilepsy is negatively correlated with tumor grade. Age and sex are risk factors for glioma-related epilepsy. The incidence of postoperative epilepsy in patients with low grade glioma is significantly lower than that in patients with high grade glioma, and the prognosis is better. However, there is no significant difference in the Engel Outcome Scale among different grades of gliomas.

China Pharmacy 2022;33(23):2826-2830
Based on the current laws and regulations framework of China, combined with practical cases, this paper systematically and comprehensively analyzes the supervision attributes, clinical trial supervision model and existing problems of tumor neoantigen vaccine, aiming to provide reference for the construction of the supervision system of clinical trial of tumor neoantigen vaccine in China. The results showed that, at present, the clinical trials of tumor neoantigen vaccine in China adopt a dual-track supervision model: clinical trials initiated by pharmaceutical enterprises and clinical trials initiated by researchers. This supervision model lags behind the development speed of the industry, mainly in the following aspects: challenges brought by dual- track supervision; the clinical trial data initiated by researchers are not effectively connected with new drug research applications; the guiding principles of clinical trial supervision need to be improved. Relevant medical institutions, regulatory authorities and cooperative enterprises can help the development of the regulatory system for clinical trials of tumor neoantigen vaccine in China from the above aspects.

Objective:To explore the etiology and treatment of craniopharyngioma with aneurysm. Methods:Seven cases of craniopharyngioma with aneurysm from March 2014 to October 2019 treated in Sanbo Brain Hospital, Capital Medical University were retrospectively analyzed. Among the 7 patients, there were 5 males and 2 females. There were 4 cases of recurrent craniopharyngiomas, 1 case of primary tumor and 2 cases of non-recurrence tumor. Three patients with blood blister-like aneurysms were treated with microsurgical suture after craniopharyngioma resection. Among the three cases with internal carotid artery fusiform aneurysm, 1 case underwent craniopharyngioma resection after internal maxillary artery-radial artery-middle cerebral artery bypass and isolation of the aneurysm; 1 case only underwent internal maxillary artery-radial artery-middle cerebral artery bypass and isolation of the aneurysm for non-recurrence tumor; 1 case underwent craniopharyngioma resection and dynamic observation of aneurysm. One case with a cystic aneurysm of the middle cerebral artery was clipped and the craniopharyngioma did not relapse. Results:All patients had no serious postoperative complications. During the follow-up period, there was no recurrence of craniopharyngioma, no recurrence of treated aneurysms, and the stability of aneurysms was observed. Conclusions:Inflammatory stimulation of craniopharyngioma cystic fluid and operation itself are the important reasons for the occurrence of aneurysms after craniopharyngioma surgery. Choosing appropriate surgical methods can complete the removal of craniopharyngioma and the treatment of aneurysms at one time.
