Objective To explore the normal reference range of perchlorate content in the urine of primary school students, and compare whether there are differences in their urine perchlorate contents among different populations, and to provide reference for the health care of primary school students. Methods A total of 441 primary school students aged 6 to 15 years old in a certain city were selected, and their urine samples were collected. The contents of perchlorate in the urine were determined by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, and the measurement data was statistically analyzed using SPSS software. Results There was no significant gender difference in the content of perchlorate in the urine of primary school students, but there was an age difference. The normal reference range for the content of perchlorate in the urine of primary school students aged 6-9 years old was 0-99.09 μg/L, and the normal reference range for the content of perchlorate in the urine of primary school students aged 10-15 years old was 0-74.56 μg/L. Conclusion Through the measurement and analysis of a large number of samples, a normal reference range for the content of urinary perchlorate in primary school students have been recommended.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the research history, hotspots and development trends of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease（GERD）based on knowledge graph technology, and to provide references for clinical and basic research in this field. METHODS: The literature of acupuncture and moxibustion for gastroesophageal reflux disease was searched from the CNKI, Wanfang, VIP and SinoMed, from the establishment of the databases to December 31th, 2023. CiteSpace 6.2.R6 Advance was used to draw the knowledge graph of authors, institutions, keywords and other elements, and then perform the visual analysis. RESULTS: A total of 341 articles were included, with the number of publications showing an upward trend and the research types continually diversifying. A total of 832 authors and 308 institutions were analyzed, with XIE Sheng from the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of CM and BAI Xinghua from the Beijing University of CM as representative figures, forming core research teams. However, there was a lack of close collaboration between institutions, and no significant cross-regional research networks had been formed. A total of 192 keywords were included, forming 8 cluster labels, which mainly included 4 categories：treatment methods, disease types, TCM syndrome types, and literature types. The burst analysis showed that the methods of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease had gradually become more integrated, the treatment methods had transitioned from simple acupuncture therapy to combined therapies with proton pump inhibitors or TCM decoctions, the disease types had become more refined, the focus of mechanism research had shifted from lower esophageal sphincter pressure and esophageal motility to changes in gastrointestinal hormone levels, and the research hotspots had gradually shifted from improving clinical symptoms to considering both mental and psychological states. Twenty-three high-frequency acupoints were obtained, forming 8 clusters of "acupuncture techniques-acupoints" for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease with acupuncture and moxibustion, indicating a gradual enrichment of acupuncture and acupoint treatment protocols. CONCLUSION The research on acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease has gradually deepened, in the future, the cooperation among research teams should be strengthened, the quality of clinical research should be improved, more multi-dimensional mechanism research and horizontal comparative research of different acupuncture and moxibustion methods should be made, to provide a basis for clinical promotion and deeper exploration.

ObjectiveTo analyze the surveillance results of foodborne diseases in Wuhan to investigate the temporal, spatial, and demographic distribution of foodborne disease in Wuhan, so as to provide an evidence for the prevention and control of foodborne diseases. MethodsData were collected through the foodborne disease surveillance network system and analyzed statistically. Stool, blood, rectal swabs, and vomitus samples from some diarrhea cases were collected for pathogens detection, including Salmonella, Shigella, Escherichia coli, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and norovirus. ResultsA total of 14 733 cases of foodborne diseases were reported in Wuhan from 2019 to 2022, with a male-to-female ratio of 1∶0.92. The highest incidence was 3.58 per 10 000 person-years in 2019 and the lowest was 2.19 per 10 000 person-years in 2020. The peak incidence occurred from June to October. Higher incidence rates were observed in central districts such as Jiang’an District, Wuchang District, and Caidian District. The age group with the highest incidence was 20‒29 years, while the age group with the highest total pathogen detection rate was 0‒9 years old. The affected population primarily included middle school students, household workers, and unemployed individuals, and children living at home. Suspected food sources were mainly vegetarian, other miscellaneous foods, and animal-based food. Of the 3 499 biological samples collected, 1 820 of them was conducted a detection for norovirus, the overall detection rate of pathogenic bacteria was 22.89% (801/3 499), with detection rates of Salmonella and Escherichia coli at 19.23% (673/3 499) and 3.03% (106/3 499), respectively. The detection rate of norovirus was 4.12% (75/1 820). The detection rate of pathogenic bacteria in biological samples of the patients who consumed infant food, milk, and egg-based foods was higher, at 53.33% and 42.93%, respectively. In terms of detected pathogens, the highest detection rate of Salmonella was found in the biological samples of patients who consumed infant food, milk, and egg-based foods, the highest detection rate of Escherichia coli was found in the biological samples of patients who consumed milk, egg, and animal-based foods, while Vibrio parahaemolyticus and norovirus had higher detection rates in patients who consumed beverages and alcoholic drinks. Suspected food sources were often found in food services, retail or farmer products markets, and homemade food. Salmonella, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, and diarrheagenic Escherichia coli were detected more frequently from June to September, while norovirus was detected more frequently in winter and spring. ConclusionThe population aged between 0‒29 years in Wuhan is the key high-risk group for foodborne diseases. Salmonella, diarrheagenic Escherichia coli, and norovirus are the main pathogens causing foodborne diseases in Wuhan. Market supervision departments should focus on strengthening the regulation of infant food.

Objective To observe the neuropsychiatric behavioral performance of kainic acid(KA)-induced epilepsy rats;investigate gender differences in acute seizure and behavioral performance tasks relating to sense,motor,learning,and memory in the remission phase;and explore the potential neurobiological mechanisms of action.Methods Healthy SD rats aged 4 weeks were randomly divided into control and model groups,with 22 rats in each group(11 males and 11 females).An epileptic rat model was induced by intraperitoneal injection of KA.Seizure latency and frequency within 2 hours of KA injection were observed,seizure grade was assessed using the Racine grade standard,and a cortical electroencephalogram(EEG)was recorded.Behavioral performance was observed in a series of tasks including open field testing,balance beam walking,elevated plus maze,Y-maze,and novel object recognition.The level of GABA in the hippocampus was detected by ELISA,injury to hippocampal neurons was observed by Nissl staining,and the protein expression of synapsin-1 and synaptotagmin 1 in the hippocampus were detected by Western Blot.Results Both male and female rats presented typical epileptic behaviors after KA injection.However,compared with the effects in males,the latency of the first seizure(P=0.014)and Ⅳ～Ⅴ grading in female model rats were more pronounced(P＜0.01),and the frequency of epileptic seizures within 2 hours was significantly reduced(P=0.019).In the open field testing,KA-induced epileptic rats presented more motor but fewer hedonic behaviors,as indicated by the decrease in total movement distance in the central area,compared with the control group.Moreover,grooming frequency was significantly reduced in the female model rats compared with not only that in the control but also that in male model rats(P＜0.01).The model rats spent more time completing and had a higher score in the balance beam walking task,indicating their poorer stability and balance.In the elevated plus maze,the exploration times of male model rats in the closed arm was increased.The preference index of rats for the novel arm or object decreased in the Y-maze and novel object recognition,suggesting impairments to their learning and memory abilities.Moreover,neuronal injuries were found in the hippocampus of the model rats that were accompanied with a decline in GABA concentration and protein expression of synapsin-1 and synaptotagmin 1,with no gender differences.Conclusions Intraperitoneal injection of KA successfully induced an epilepsy rat model.However,there was a gender difference in the characters of acute seizures and performance of sensory,motor,and learning memory during epileptic remission.There was no gender differences in the hippocampal GABA concentration or expression of synaptic plasticity-related proteins,and thus no evidence was found for the mechanisms underlying the gender differences.
