Objective:To conduct a scoping review on the current status and influencing factors of adherence to lymphedema prevention behaviors among postoperative breast cancer patients, with the aim of providing a scientific basis for developing targeted interventions. Methods:A comprehensive search was conducted in both Chinese and English databases, including China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, CINAHL, and Web of Science, for literature published up to August 31, 2024, related to adherence to lymphedema prevention behaviors in breast cancer survivors. Eligible articles were screened, and data were extracted to analyze adherence levels. Influencing factors were mapped to the domains of the Theoretical Domains Framework to identify and analyze key behavioral determinants. Results:A total of 15 articles were included: nine quantitative and six qualitative. Overall, adherence to lymphedema prevention behaviors among postoperative breast cancer patients was found to be suboptimal. A total of 25 influencing factors were identified and categorized into eight theoretical domains: knowledge (lymphedema awareness) ; skills (coping strategies, time since surgery) ; beliefs about capabilities (self-efficacy, illness perception, unawareness of tumor stage, surgical type, symptom distress) ; beliefs about consequences (outcome expectations, attitudes) ; emotions (negative emotions, fatigue, age) ; behavior regulation (self-regulation, exercise habits, behavioral control) ; social influences (social support, family support, marital status, behavioral cues) ; environmental context and resources (healthcare access, ethnicity, professional supervision, financial status, employment situation) .Conclusions:Adherence to lymphedema prevention behaviors in postoperative breast cancer patients remains unsatisfactory, with influencing factors being multifaceted, diverse, and overlapping. Future efforts should focus on uncovering the potential interrelationships among these factors to enhance adherence and support long-term self-management in this population.

Objective:To investigate the current status of treatment delay and analyze its influencing factors in patients with breast cancer-related lymphedema. Methods:Using convenience sampling, 218 patients with breast cancer-related lymphedema from The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University between April 2024 and January 2025 were enrolled. The General Information Questionnaire, Lymphedema Self-Management Support Scale for Breast Cancer Survivors (LSMS-BCs), Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire for Breast Cancer-related Lymphedema (BIPQ-BCRL), Perceived Barriers to Health Care-Seeking Decision-Chinese (PBHSD-C), and Health Literacy Scale for Chronic Patients (HLSCP) were used to conduct a cross-sectional survey. Logistic regression identified predictors of treatment delay, with model fit assessed by the Hosmer-Lemeshow test. Discriminative ability was evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Results:The study included 218 female BCRL patients, aged (58.31 ± 10.54) years. Among 218 patients, 76 experienced treatment delay, the incidence of treatment delay was 34.8% (76/218). Independent risk factors included junior high school education or below, no regular arm circumference measurement, low self-management support scores, low illness perception scores, high perceived barriers to healthcare-seeking scores, and low health literacy scores (Wald χ2 values were 7.75-15.15, all P<0.05). The Hosmer-Lemeshow test indicated good model fit ( χ2=6.21, P>0.05). The combined predictive model demonstrated significantly better discrimination than individual factors, the area under the curve of ROC was 0.846 ( P<0.01). Conclusions:The incidence of treatment delay is relatively high among breast cancer-related lymphedema patients. Nursing staff should pay special attention to patients with a junior high school education or below, no regular arm circumference measurement, low LSMS-BCs scores, low BIPQ-BCRL scores, high PBHSD-C scores and low HLSCP scores, implement timely interventions to reduce treatment delay in lymphedema patients.

Objective To investigate the susceptibility and infection characteristics of dengue virus(DENV)in cells derived from diverse tissues of tree shrews and to provide a basis for expanding the repertoire of DENV-permissive cell models in this species. Methods DENV was inoculated at a multiplicity of infection(MOI)of 0.02 into tree shrew skin fibroblasts(TSFs),primary tree shrew renal epithelial cells(pTRECs),tree shrew aortic endothelial cells(TAECs),tree shrew aortic smooth muscle cells(TASMCs),tree shrew hepatocytes(THs),tree shrew corneal stromal cells(TCSCs),tree shrew brain microvascular endothelial cells(TBMECs),and tree shrew retinal microvascular endothelial cells(TRMECs).C6/36,Vero,A549,and BHK-21 cells(commonly used for DENV propagation)were used as positive controls.Over 6 days post-infection,cellular cytopathic effects were monitored at 12-hour intervals using an inverted microscope, viral RNA loads in cell lysates were quantified by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR to generate proliferation curves, and viral titers were determined by plaque assay. Results Seven types of tree shrew cells, except TRMECs,were susceptible to DENV.Prolonged infection induced pronounced cytopathic effects, including cell rounding, detachment, necrosis, and lysis, across all susceptible cells. The viral RNA loads detected in lysates of pTRECs,TBMECs,TASMCs,TAECs and THs,approached those of positive controls(≥4×107 copies/μL).Infectious progeny viruses were produced by these five cell types, with three(TAECs,3.13×105 PFU/mL;THs,2.03×105 PFU/mL;pTRECs,1.58×105 PFU/mL)exhibiting titers comparable to C6/36(3.85×10 5 PFU/mL)and earlier viral harvests. Conclusion DENV exhibits broad susceptibility to tree shrew cells of multiple tissue origins, with proliferation rates surpassing those of conventional cell lines sourced from other species.TAECs,THs,and pTRECs are particularly suitable for large-scale DENV proliferation, suggesting their potential involvement in in vivo infection.
10.DCPIB inhibits melanoma cell proliferation by upregulating DDIT3
Practical Oncology Journal 2025;39(2):99-107
Objective The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of DCPIB(4-[(2-butyl-6,7-dichloro-2-cy-clopentyl-1-oxo-3H-inden-5-yl)oxy]butanoic acid),a selective reversible volume-regulated anion channel inhibitor,on the prolif-eration capacity of melanoma cells and its mechanism of action. Methods CCK-8 assay and EdU assay were used to detect the effect of DCPIB on the proliferation capacity of A375 cells and RPMI-7951 cells.Transcriptome sequencing was conducted to analyze the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)between the control group(A375 cells treated with absolute ethanol)and the DCPIB-treated group(A375 cells treated with 10μM of DCPIB)to find the significantly changed signaling pathways.qRT-PCR was used to detect the changes in the mRNA levels of DEGs.Western blot was used to detect the changes in the expression of proteins related to relevant signaling pathways. Results DCPIB significantly inhibited the proliferation of A375 cells and RPMI-7951 cells(P<0.01).The re-sults of transcriptome sequencing revealed that DNA damage-inducible transcript 3(DDIT3)was significantly upregulated in the DCPIB-treated group(t=161.800,P<0.001),and the levels of multiple key genes mRNA related to DNA damage repair pathway,in-cluding Ku70,Ku80,RAD51,MLH1,MSH6,PARP1,FANCD2 were downregulated.qRT-PCR verified that the levels of key genes mR-NA in the above DNA damage repair pathways were significantly reduced after DCPIB treatment in A375 cells for 36 h(P<0.05).GO functional enrichment and KEGG pathway analyses revealed that after DCPIB treatment, the mRNA levels of endoplasmic reticulum stress-related genes, including HSPA5,DDIT3,ATF4,XBP1,ERN1,EIF2AK3 were upregulated, and the downstream PI3K-Akt signa-ling pathway was abnormally expressed.qRT-PCR verified that the expression of TRIB3,a downstream molecule of DDIT3 was upreg-ulated in A375 cells treated with DCPIB(t=2.819,P=0.048),and the downstream Akt-mTOR signaling pathway was inhibited, and the levels of p-Akt(t=7.638,P=0.002)and p-mTOR proteins(t=4.898,P=0.008)were significantly decreased. Conclusion DCPIB can significantly inhibit the proliferation of melanoma cells, and its mechanism may be related to the DDIT3-TRIB3-Akt-mTOR signaling axis.
