Objective: To determine the causative agent, clinical manifestations and risk factors for infection during a September 2023 outbreak of acute haemorrhagic conjunctivitis (AHC) in Pak Touch village, Ratanakiri province, Cambodia. Methods: A retrospective case-control study was conducted. Cases were age-matched to controls (1:1), who were randomly selected from the village population. Twenty-one conjunctival samples were analysed using real-time reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction (RT–PCR). RNA sequencing was additionally performed to identify the causative agent of the outbreak. Logistic regression models were used to identify significant risk factors. Results: A total of 73 cases and 73 controls were included in the analysis. Cases had a median age of 20 years (range: 1–70, mean and standard deviation: 27.7 ± 20.0), and 46.6% (34/73) were male. The overall attack rate was 12.3% (73 cases/594 residents). Clinical presentations included conjunctival hyperaemia (100%), subconjunctival haemorrhage (82.2%, 60), pain and discharge (64.4%, 47 each), eyelid swelling (57.5%, 42) and tearing (54.8%, 40). RT–PCR identified enterovirus in 52.4% (11/21) of conjunctival swabs, with RNA sequencing confirming the coxsackievirus A24 variant as the causative agent in five swabs. Statistical analysis identified significant risk factors, including physical contact with patients with acute haemorrhagic conjunctivitis (adjusted odds ratio [aOR]: 4.42, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.90–10.10), frequent eye rubbing (aOR: 4.56, 95% CI: 2.00–10.37) and poor hand hygiene (aOR: 3.70, 95% CI: 1.64–8.43). Discussion: The outbreak of acute haemorrhagic conjunctivitis in Pak Touch village was primarily caused by coxsackievirus A24. Significant risk factors included physical contact with infected individuals, frequent eye rubbing and poor hand hygiene. Effective hygiene measures are crucial to prevent the spread of AHC.

Aim To investigate the effect of honokiol(HNK)on the angiogenesis of lung cancer cells H460 induced by the tumor inflammatory microenvironment and its possible mechanism.Methods CCK-8 was used to detect the effect of HNK on the proliferation of H460 cells and human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs); RT-PCR, Western blot, immunofluorescence were used to detect the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF); Western blot was used to detect the signaling pathway protein p-IκBα, p-IKKα and NF-κB p65 protein expression.The wound healing test, transwell and tube formation tests were used to detect the inhibition ability of HNK on the migration and angiogenesis of HUVECs.Results HNK treated H460 cells for 24, 48, 72 h respectively, and inhibited the proliferation of H460 cells in a concentration-and time-dependent manner.HNK inhibited the survival of HUVEC cells in a concentration-dependent manner.HNK also reduced the protein and mRNA expression levels of VEGF in H460 cells.Subsequently, HNK concentration-dependently inhibited the phosphorylation of IκBα, NF-κB and IKKα in the NF-κB signaling pathway.Wound healing test, Transwell cell migration test and tube formation test showed that H460 conditioned medium treated with HNK had the ability to inhibit the migration and angiogenesis of HUVECs.Conclusions HNK reduces the viability and angiogenesis of human lung cancer cells by down-regulation of VEGF via the NF-κB pathway.

This paper aims to systematically analyze the peptides and proteins from Asini Corii Colla(ACC) through shotgun proteomics. After high-pH reversed-phase fractionation, the proteins and peptides in the hydrolysate of ACC were further separated by nano LC-Q-Exactive-MS/MS under the following conditions: Thermo Scientific EASY column(100 μm×2 cm, 5 μm, C_(18)) as precolumn, Thermo Scientific EASY column(75 μm×100 mm, 3 μm, C_(18)) for solid phase extraction, gradient elution with 0.1% formic acid in water(mobile phase A) and 84% acetonitrile in water containing 0.1% formic acid(mobile phase B), and MS in positive ion mode. Based on Uniprot_Equus caballus, MS data, and literature, 2 291 peptides were identified from ACC by MaxQuant, with 255 Maillard reactions(AML, CML, CEL)-modified peptides identified for the first time. Through alignment, the peptides were found to belong to 678 equine proteins. In conclusion, the combination of nano LC-Q-Exactive-MS/MS and shotgun proteomics achieved rapid and accurate identification of the proteins and peptides in ACC, which provides the key information and new insights for further investigation of chemicals and effective substances in ACC.

OBJECTIVE：To provide referenc e for selectin g antitumor drugs economic evaluation models and improving the quality of evidence for antitumor drugs economics evaluation in China. METHODS ：A systematic search of the antitumor drug health technology evaluation （pCODR）reports were conducted on the official website of the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health （CADTH）. The search time was limited to Jan. 1st，2015 to Sep. 6th，2020. The basic information ，model types and structure ，and key limitations were extracted and summarized. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS ：A total of 185 pCODR reports were finally retrieved ，involving 114 types of tumor indications and 98 types of antitumor drugs. The number of CADTH antitumor drugs economics evaluations in the past 5 years had shown an increasing trend. Among 137 pCODR reports with final economic guidance report ，98 reports（71.5％）adopted the PartSA model ，21 reports（15.3％）used the Markov model ，and some reports（6 reports，4.3％）used both PartSA and Markov models to explore the uncertainty of the model structure. In terms of model health status setting ，86 reports（62.8％）used three-state models to evaluate the economy of different anti tumor drugs ，and 16 reports（11.7％）used no less than four health states to simulate the outcome of disease state. However ，there were still some problems in CADTH models ，such as the unreasonable choice of research time limit ，the unreasonable extrapolation method or uncertain extrapolation results of efficacy （survival）data，the uncertainty of efficacy data obtained by indirect comparison ，and some assumptions or parameter settings did not conform to the actual diagnosis and treatment environment. In view of the advantages of PartSA model ，it is suggested that PartSA model or Markov model combined with PartSA model should be used first to verify the uncertainty of model structure in the future economic evaluation of antitumor drugs ；reasonable settings of key model parameters should be considered to improve the quality of evidence for antitumor drugs economics evaluation in China.

OBJECTIVE A comprehensive understanding of the major and minor elements in different processed products of Pyrite,providing scientific basis for the clinical rational use of Pyrite.METHODS The determination method of 10 compo-nents including Fe,S,Si,Al and other major and minor components in different processed products of Pyrite by X-ray fluores-cence spectrometry was established.RESULTS The detection limit of Fe,S,Mn,Si,Al,Ti,Ca,P,Zn and Pb was 13.37, 36.92,7.56,68,29,77.47,12.46,22.54,21.64,4.55,3.24 mg/kg.Determination of standard material composition of GBW(E)070088 (iron ore)and GBW 07267 (pyrite)for 5 repetitions.The accuracy were 94%~107% and the RSD were 1. 0%~10.1%.CONCLUSION The method can be used to determine the major and minor elements in different processed prod-ucts of Pyrite,and it is accurate and convenient.
