1.Application of BOPPPS combined with DOPS in anesthesiology teaching under the background of medical-educational collaboration

Objective:To explore the application of BOPPPS(Bridge-in,Objective,Pre-assessment,Participatory Learning,Post-assessment,Summary)combined with Direct Observation of Procedural Skills(DOPS)in anesthesiology teaching under the background of medical-educational collaboration.Methods:A total of 60 students majoring in anesthesiology were selected as the research objects.A total of 30 students in grade 2018 were enrolled in the control group and receired traditional teaching mode.A total of 30 students in grade 2019 were enrolled in the research group and received BOPPPS teaching mode.The assessment of the internship after graduation for both groups adopted the DOPS assessment mode.Two groups of students were subject to pre-enrollment assessment,including process evaluations,such as theoretical class attendance,classroom interaction,pre-test scores,post-test scores,and the final theoretical test score.A comprehensive evaluation of teachers'teaching effect was conducted.When the two groups were discharged from the department,in addition to the assessment of professional theoretical knowledge of anesthesia and the operation of conventional anesthesia skills,they also underwent nine DOPS assessments.Results:There was no statistical difference between the two groups in the attendance(P>0.05).The classroom interaction,pre-test scores,post-test scores,final test scores and total test scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).In terms of comprehensive evaluation of teaching effect,there was no statistical difference between the two groups in the evaluation of teachers'teaching attitude(P>0.05).However,the research group reported higher satisfaction in teaching skills,methods,student-teacher interaction,and classroom engagement(P<0.05).Both the theoretical and practical scores in the research group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The DOPS assessment results showed that the research group was superior to the control group in terms of indication mastery,operation completion,teamwork and problem-solving ability,and comprehensive ability performance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application effect of BOPPPS combined with DOPS in anesthesiology teaching is better than the conventional teaching mode.

3.Effects of Shoutai pills on immune function and oxidative stress in pregnant rats with di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate exposure.

OBJECTIVE:
To investigate the effects of Shoutai pills (a traditional Chinese medicinal preparation) on immune functions and oxidative stress in pregnant rats exposed to di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP).
METHODS:
Thirty-six mature female SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (=12). After pregnancy was confirmed, the rats were given 10 mL/kg corn oil +10 mL/kg saline (control group), 500 mg/kg DEHP+10 mL/kg saline (model group), and 500 mg/kg DEHP+10 mL/kg Shoutai pills (treatment group). At 19 days of gestation, the rats were sacrificed and the fetal rats were weighed and the numbers of live and stillborn fetal rats were recorded. Serum levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-2 (IL-2), tumor necrosis factor-ɑ (TNF-ɑ), estradiol (E2) and progesterone (P) levels were detected. The appearance, color and quality of the placenta in each group were recorded, and the placental tissues were examined pathologically. The total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC), superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH- Px), catalase (CAT), reactive oxygen species (ROS) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in the placental tissues were measured.
RESULTS:
Compared with the control group, the rats with DEHP exposure showed slow weight gain in the middle and late gestation period and significantly lower fetal weight ( < 0.05) with lowered serum levels of IL-2, IL-6 and TNF-ɑ, increased estradiol level ( < 0.05), decreased placental T-AOC, GSH-Px, SOD and CAT levels, and increased ROS and MDA levels ( < 0.01). Compared with the model group, the rats treated with Shoutai pills had significantly increased weight gain in mid and late pregnancy and greater fetal weight ( < 0.05) with significantly increased serum IL-2 and IL-6 levels, decreased estradiol level ( < 0.05), slightly increased TNF-ɑ expression (> 0.05), increased placenta T-AOC, GSH- Px and CAT levels, decreased MDA level ( < 0.05), and slightly increased SOD and decreased ROS levels (>0.05). No significant difference was found in progesterone levels among the groups (>0.05). HE staining showed that the trophoblast in the placental tissue sponge in the model group was loose and irregular with numerous vacuoles. In the treatment group, the structure of the placenta remained intact with clearly visible labyrinth zone, sponge trophoblast and giant cell trophoblast, and the cell distribution in each layer was better than that in the model group.
CONCLUSIONS
Shoutai pills can regulate the immune function of DEHP-exposed pregnant rats possibly by antagonizing the estrogenlike effect of DEHP and regulating serum immune factors; Shoutai pills can also reduce placental tissue damage and improve pregnancy outcome by correcting DEHP-induced imbalance of oxidative stress in the placental tissues.

4. Expression and clinical significance of long-chain non-coding RNA BCYRN1 in serum of patients with non-small cell lung cancer

Objective:
To investigate the expression and clinical significance of long-chain non-coding RNA brain cytoplasmic RNA 1 (BCYRN1) in serum of patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
Methods:
74 patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) diagnosed and treated in our hospital were selected as the experimental group, and 50 healthy subjects were selected as the control group. The expression of BCYRN1 in serum of NSCLC and control group was detected by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). The patients′ clinical pathology data were collected and followed up. To analyze the relationship between the expression of serum BCYRN1 and clinicopathological parameters of NSCLC patients, and the relationship between BCYRN1 expression in the diagnosis and prediction of NSCLC prognosis.
Results:
The relative expression of BCYRN1 in serum of NSCLC patients was 2.84±0.95, which was significantly higher than that of healthy controls (1.16±0.50) (
5.Efficacy of endoscopic transnasal dacryocystorhinostomy by suture in the treatment of acute dacryocystitis as early as possible

Objective To explore the effect of endoscopic transnasal dacryocystorhinostomy(ET-DCR) by suture in the treatment of acute dacryocystitis(AD) as early as possible.Methods The clinical data of 32 patients with unilateral AD who underwent ET-DCR by suture as early as possible were retrospectively analyzed.Results All patients presented clear anatomic structure,intraoperative hemorrhage increased in 3 cases,swelling and pain was rapidly relieving in all patients in the first day of postoperation,the mean resolution time of congestion and swelling in the middle canthus was average 3 days(range 1-6 days),no spread of infection occurred,no facial scar appeared in all patients except one case of abscess rupture.Complete complaint relief in 26 cases,slight epiphora presented in 6 patients who confirmed for lacrimalduct obstruction and cured by intubation,and all ostial patency with no AD recurrences at the mean follow-up of 2 years (range 12 months-5 years).Conclusion ET-DCR by suture as early as possible can be used to cure acute dacryocystitis and it is effective safe and economy.
6.The clinical study of endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy by suture

Objective To investigate the clinical value of endoscopic transnasal dacryocystorhinostomy ( ET-DCR) by suture techniques.Methods 85 patients of 98 eyes with chronic dacryocystifis were randomly divided into the two groups:control group ( without suture) and observation group ( by suture) .All cases were followed up for more than 12 months.The cure rates and occurrence of granulation tissue were compared between the two groups. Results The cure rate of the observation group ( 96.00%, 48/50 ) was higher than that in the control group (81.25%,39/48) (χ2 =5.35,P<0.05). During process of following up,the occurrence of granulation tissue at the ostium margins accounted for 14.00%(7/50) in the observation group and 31.25%(15/48) in the control group (χ2 =4.19,P<0.05).Conclusion ET-DCR by suture techniques reduces the formation of granulation tissue and improves the cure rate.Especially, ET-DCR by suture techniques for the small lacrimal sac of patients may have special advantages.
