Methods:
Data of new cases of liver, lung, breast, colorectal and gastric cancers in Nanning City from 2018 to 2022 were collected through the big data platform of the Nanning Health Propaganda and Information Center's Hospitalization System. The incidence rates were calculated and standardized using the data of the seventh national population census in 2020. The age, gender, and urban-rural distribution of the five malignant tumor cases were descriptively analyzed. The trends in incidence of the five malignant tumors were analyzed using annual percent change (APC).
Results:
From 2018 to 2022, the crude and standardized incidence rates of liver cancer in Nanning City were 24.46/105 and 26.39/105, respectively, showing upward trends (APC=15.122% and 13.111%, both P<0.05). The crude and standardized incidence rates of lung cancer were 23.42/105 and 25.83/105, respectively, showing upward trends (APC=13.714% and 10.056%, both P<0.05). The crude and standardized incidence rates of breast cancer were 19.13/105 and 20.29/105, respectively, with no significant trends (APC=-5.129% and -5.164%, both P>0.05). The crude incidence rate of colorectal cancer was 18.81/105, showing an upward trend (APC=8.164%, P<0.05), while the standardized incidence rate was 20.64/105, with no significant trend (APC=5.044%, P>0.05). The crude incidence rate of gastric cancer was 7.27/105, showing an upward trend (APC=5.984%, P<0.05), while the standardized incidence rate was 7.98/105, with no significant trend (APC=3.304%, P>0.05). The age of onset peak for liver cancer was 65 to <70 years, for lung cancer was 75 to <80 years, for breast cancer was 55 to <60 years, for colorectal cancer was 80 to <85 years, and for gastric cancer was 75 to <80 years. The standardized incidence rates of liver, lung, colorectal and gastric cancers were higher in males than in females (all P<0.05). The standardized incidence rates of liver, lung and gastric cancers were higher in rural areas than in urban areas, while the standardized incidence rates of breast and colorectal cancers were lower in rural areas (all P<0.05).
Conclusions
The incidence rates of liver, lung, colorectal and gastric cancers in Nanning City showed upward trends from 2018 to 2022, while the incidence rate of breast cancer remained stable. The standardized incidence rates of liver, lung, colorectal and gastric cancers were higher in males, and the standardized incidences of liver, lung and gastric cancers were higher in rural areas.

Objective::Patients with untreated severe aortic regurgitation (AR) have a high risk of mortality. Transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TF-TAVR) is a treatment option for AR; however, the safety and efficacy of this technique have not been sufficiently established. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical and anatomical variables correlating with device success of TF-TAVR using a self-expanding valve system for pure AR.Methods::Patients with pure native severe AR who underwent TF-TAVR using a self-expanding valve system were registered at 5 Chinese centers. The primary endpoint was device success at 1 month after TAVR. The secondary endpoint was the composite of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) at 6 months, including all-cause death, ischemic stroke, emergency conversion to cardiac surgery, and permanent pacemaker implantation. Echocardiography was used to analyze the left ventricular function before the TAVR procedure and during follow-up. Multivariable logistic regression and Cox regression analyses were performed to find relevant independent risk factors.Results::Between September 2019 and February 2022, 79 patients with AR were enrolled in the study. At 1 month, device success was achieved in 60 (75.9%) patients. By 6 months, 29 (36.7%) patients had MACE. Echocardiography revealed improved left ventricular function after TAVR. Multivariate regression analysis demonstrated that the Society of Thoracic Surgeons risk score (odds ratio 0.760, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.584-0.989; P = 0.041) and annulus perimeter (odds ratio 0.888, 95% CI: 0.796-0.992; P = 0.035) were 2 predictors of device success. Moreover, annulus perimeter (<80.2 mm), but not Society of Thoracic Surgeons risk score, was associated with a significant reduction in MACE at 6 months (hazard ratio 2.223, 95% CI: 1.060-4.659; P = 0.028). Conclusions::TF-TAVR using a self-expanding valve system appears to be a safe and feasible treatment for patients with pure native severe AR, particularly those with a less enlarged annulus.

In order to study the signal pathway secreting type Ⅰ interferon in porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs) infected with porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2), the protein and the mRNA expression levels of cGAS/STING pathways were analyzed by ELISA, Western blotting and quantitative reverse transcriptase PCR in PAMs infected with PCV2. In addition, the roles of cGAS, STING, TBK1 and NF-κB/P65 in the generation of type I interferon (IFN-I) from PAMs were analyzed by using the cGAS and STING specific siRNA, inhibitors BX795 and BAY 11-7082. The results showed that the expression levels of IFN-I increased significantly at 48 h after infection with PCV2 (P<0.05), the mRNA expression levels of cGAS increased significantly at 48 h and 72 h after infection (P<0.01), the mRNA expression levels of STING increased significantly at 72 h after infection (P<0.01), and the mRNA expression levels of TBK1 and IRF3 increased at 48 h after infection (P<0.01). The protein expression levels of STING, TBK1 and IRF3 in PAMs infected with PCV2 were increased, the content of NF-κB/p65 was decreased, and the nuclear entry of NF-κB/p65 and IRF3 was promoted. After knocking down cGAS or STING expression by siRNA, the expression level of IFN-I was significantly decreased after PCV2 infection for 48 h (P<0.01). BX795 and BAY 11-7082 inhibitors were used to inhibit the expression of IRF3 and NF-κB, the concentration of IFN-I in BX795-treated group was significantly reduced than that of the PCV2 group (P<0.01), while no significant difference was observed between the BAY 11-7028 group and the PCV2 group. The results showed that PAMs infected with PCV2 induced IFN-I secretion through the cGAS/STING/TBK1/IRF3 signaling pathway.

Journal of Apoplexy and Nervous Diseases 2020;37(9):823-827
Objective To observe the incidence of white matter hyperintensities (WMHs) and the distribution of right to left shunt (RLS) in migraine patients, and to explore whether WMHs is related to RLS. Methods 106 patients with migraine were selected as the research objects. The basic data and clinical information of migraine were collected. The WMHs were evaluated by cranial MRI. The RLS was diagnosed and graded by transcranial Doppler (TCD) bubbles test. The correlation between WMHs and RLS was analyzed. Results Among 106 migraine patients,33 (31.1%) were in WMHs+ group and 73 (68.9%) in WMHs- group. The total positive rate of RLS was 48.1% (51/106). The distribution of different shunt levels was as follows:grade Ⅰ shunt in 27 cases (25.5%),grade Ⅱ shunt in 4 cases (3.8%),grade Ⅲ shunt in 6 cases (5.6%),grade Ⅳ shunt in 14 cases (13.2%). In "WMHs+" group, there were 5 cases of grade Ⅰ shunt,1 case of grade Ⅱ shunt,3 cases of grade Ⅲ shunt and 10 cases of grade Ⅳ shunt;in "WMHs-" group, there were 22 cases of grade Ⅰ shunt,3 cases of grade Ⅱ shunt,3 cases of grade Ⅲ shunt and 4 cases of grade Ⅳ shunt. Compared with "WMHs+" group and "WMHs-" group, there was no statistical difference in the overall positive rate of bubbles test between the two groups (P>0.05,χ2=1.719),but the large shunt rate of "WMHs+" group was significantly higher than that of "WMHs-" group (P<0.01,χ2=13.188). Conclusion There is no significant correlation between WMHs and RLS in migraine patients, but large RLSs will increase the risk of WMHs in migraine patients.
