Objective To explore the correlation between serum G protein signaling modulator 2(GPSM2),adapter related protein complex 3 subunit mu2(AP3 M2)with clinical pathological features and postoperative prognosis of early colorectal cancer(CRC)patients. Methods From January 2020 to December 2021,142 early CRC patients(CRC group)and 96 colorectal polyp patients(benign lesion group)treated in our hospital were included, and 80 healthy volunteers(control group)were also included.RT-qPCR was used to detect serum GPSM2 and AP3M2.Kaplan-Meier survival curve was performed to analyze the relationship between serum GPSM2 and AP3M2 with the prognosis of CRC.Cox regression was performed to analyze the risk factors affecting the prognosis of CRC.ROC curve was used to explore the forecast value of serum GPSM2 and AP3M2 for the prognosis of CRC.Results The benign lesion group and CRC group had manifestly higher serum GPSM2 and AP3M2 than the control group, and with the CRC group being higher than the benign lesion group(P<0.05).Serum GPSM2 and AP3M2 in CRC patients were related to their differentiation degree(P<0.05).The 3-year survival rate of patients with low GPSM2 and AP3M2 was higher than that of patients with high GPSM2 and AP3M2(85.29%、87.14%vs 67.57%、65.28%)(Log Rank x2=7.205,10.800,P<0.05).Low differentiation degree and elevated serum GPSM2 and AP3M2 were risk factors affecting the prognosis of CRC(P<0.05).The AUC of serum GPSM2 and AP3M2 combined to predict the prognosis of CRC patients was 0.903(Zjoint-GPSM2=2.882,Zjoint-AP3M2=3.322,P<0.05),the sensitivity is 88.24%,and the specificity is 82.41%.Conclusion The serum GPSM2 and AP3M2 in CRC patients are elevated and closely related to differentiation degree and prognosis. The joint of the two has high clinical value in forecasting the prognosis of CRC.

Oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma(OPSCC)is a malignant tumor originating from the squamous epithelium of the oro-pharyngeal mucosa, accounting for more than 90%of oropharyngeal malignancies. In recent years, human papillomavirus(HPV)infec-tion has become one of the primary etiological factors of oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma. The incidence of HPV-associated oropharyn-geal squamous carcinoma has been rising annually, with a noticeable trend toward younger populations, posing a significant threat to hu-man health.Due to the distinct biological behavior and clinical characteristics of HPV-associated oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma com-pared to its non-HPV-related counterpart, the diagnostic and treatment strategies for oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma have undergone substantial changes.Prevention and screening for oropharyngeal squamous carcinoma are of critical importance. The diagnostic and treat-ment process involves multi-disciplinary collaboration, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, oncology, radiology and pathology.Based on evidence from clinical practice,a comprehensive, integrated diagnostic and therapeutic ap-proach has been established, centered around the concept of"prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation",covering the entire patient lifecycle and providing a valuable reference for clinical practice.
3.Exploration of talent cultivation based on development of Cancer Research and Clinic and Maslow hierarchy of needs
Cancer Research and Clinic 2025;37(6):456-458
On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the establishment of Chinese Medical Association, this article summarizes the important contributions of Cancer Research and Clinic which was one of the series of journals of Chinese Medical Association in academic exchanges, promotion of scientific research achievements and talent cultivation. It also analyzes the current situation and existing problems of Z hospital's human resources, and analyzes the different levels of talent needs of the hospital from the perspective of Maslow hierarchy of needs. It is hoped that with the high-quality resources of Cancer Research and Clinic, the hospital's talent cultivation can be effectively promoted, and the construction of national regional medical center can be assisted.

In recent decades, the incidence of human papillomavirus(HPV)-associated oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma(OPSCC)has shown a marked increase.Significant changes have also occurred in the OPSCC diagnosis and treatment paradigm.Deter-mining HPV status prior to treatment is now essential, and radiotherapy/chemotherapy,immunotherapy,and minimally invasive surgical techniques have progressively emerged as key modalities for managing OPSCC.However, alongside these paradigm shifts,a comprehen-sive technical consensus guiding the entire diagnostic and therapeutic process for OPSCC patients is currently lacking.Given China's large population base and the rising incidence of OPSCC,an expert panel convened to develop a clinical technical consensus on OPSCC diagno-sis and management tailored to China's specific context. This consensus aims to further enhance and standardize understanding of OPSCC management techniques among relevant healthcare professionals.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is a malignant lesion originating from the oral mucosal squamous epithelium,account-ing for over 80%of oral and maxillofacial malignancies.Key etiological factors include tobacco, alcohol abuse, and betel quid chewing. In China, its incidence has shown an overall upward trend, posing a significant threat to public health.OSCC exhibits high local invasive-ness,making early diagnosis critical for improving prognosis. Its clinical management requires close multidisciplinary collaboration among oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, reconstructive surgery,radiology,patholo-gy,and nutritional support teams.Given the increasing disease burden of OSCC and rapid development of multidisciplinary collaborative models,an expert panel has formulated this integrated management consensus based on evidence-based medicine and extensive deliber-ation.Centered on the'Prevention-Screening-Diagnosis-Treatment-Rehabilitation'framework,the consensus provides comprehensive guidance for the entire disease course of OSCC patients, aiming to standardize clinical practice.

Deep infiltrating endometriosis(DIE)is defined as endometriotic lesions infiltrating≥5 mm beneath the peritoneum, commonly affecting the uterosacral ligaments, rectovaginal septum, vaginal vault, and rectal wall.Due to nonspecific clinical manifestations and atypical imaging features,DIE is often misdiagnosed. This study reports a case of rectal DIE diagnosed preoperatively by endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration(EUS-FNA)and summarizes the multidisciplinary treatment experience in conjunction with a literature review.A 35-year-old woman was admitted for defecation difficulty.MRI and EUS-FNA confirmed rectal DIE.After multidisciplinary team(MDT)evaluation involving colorectal, gynecologic, and urologic specialists, laparoscopic resection of the rectal lesion,sigmoid-rectal anastomosis, and protective ileostomy were performed.Pathology confirmed rectal DIE with negative margins. The stoma was successfully reversed 4 months later, and no recurrence was observed during 21 months of follow-up.These findings highlight the pivotal role of EUS-FNA in early diagnosis and demonstrate that an MDT approach led by colorectal surgeons can significantly enhance surgical safety and completeness, providing valuable guidance for the individualized management of complex pelvic endometriosis.
