Objective To employ a mouse model of ABI3BP gene deletion for the detection of postnatal changes in body weight and glucose metabolism and establish a different method of creating a mouse model of low birth weight. Methods Heterozygote mice were mated to produce ABI3BP gene knockout homozygote(ABI3BP-/-)mice,heterozygote(ABI3BP+/)mice,and wild-type(WT)mice.Adult mice from all three groups were evaluated for glucose metabolism markers, including the fasting blood glucose level, glucose tolerance, and insulin tolerance.Additionally, body weight was measured at various postnatal time periods, and the weight ratio of critical organs in adulthood was calculated. Results The gene sequencing result of the polymerase chain reaction product of ABI3BP-/-mice showed that frameshift mutations occurred in the knockout region, with quantitative reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis demonstrating significantly reduced ABI3BP expression in ABI3BP-/-mice compared with that in WT mice.Notably, the birth weight of ABI3BP-/-mice(1.25±0.08 g)was markedly lower than that of WT mice(1.34±0.12 g)(P<0.05).Conversely,the weight of adult(120 d)ABI3BP-/mice(27.70±1.93 g)was significantly higher than that of WT mice(23.64±1.34 g)(P<0.01).The ratios of key organ weights to body weight were not significantly different between the groups(P>0.05).Fasting blood glucose and insulin tolerance tests showed no significant variations between the groups. However, glucose tolerance tests indicated that ABI3BP-/-mice had lower blood glucose levels(15.68±7.04 mmol/L)than WT mice(23.01±5.75 mmol/L).Conclusions Deletion of the ABI3BP gene result in mice with low birth weight, poor growth recuperation, and inadequate glucose tolerance in adulthood, similar to the clinical growth traits of low-birth-weight human neonates. Therefore, this mouse model is a promising choice for the study of low birth weight.

Objective To explore the effect of seamless nursing mode under Six Sigma management on nosocomial infection, nursing quality, and overall rehabilitation of premature infants. Methods A total of 92 premature infants born in affiliated matemal and child health care hospital of nantong university from March 2019 to March 2022 were enrolled.According to the length of hospital stay, they were assigned to the control group or the study group, with 46 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing management, and the research group was given seamless nursing under Six Sigma management on the basis of routine nursing. The incidence of complications related to nosocomial infection, nursing quality, and neuropsychological development were compared between the two groups one month later. The weight and height of premature infants at 3 months,6 months, and 12 months after discharge were compared between the two groups. Results Before nursing, there were no significant differences in nursing quality, neuropsychological development, weight,or height between the two groups(P>0.05).After nursing, the total incidence of intestinal infection, septicemia, and other infections in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of ward management, basic nursing operation, nursing document record, nursing service attitude, risk management, and communication ability in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of gross and fine movements in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The body weight and height of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group at 3 months,6 months, and 12 months after discharge(P<0.05).Conclusion The seamless nursing under Six Sigma management is helpful to reduce the incidence of nosocomial infection-related complications of premature infants, improve the quality of nursing, promote neuropsychological development of premature infants, and increase their weight and height.

Objective To summarize seven-year experience in therapy for acute aortic syndrome. Methods Between May 2009 and June 2016,103 patients(75 males and 28 females)diagnosed as acute aortic syndrome underwent operation. The mean age was(43.13 ±15.07)years(20 -79 years). We applied hypothermic circulatory arrest and selective antegrade cerebral perfusion to achieve organic protection.92 patients underwent Sun's procedure.Bentall procedure was performed on 63 patients.9 patients accepted aortic valve repair or root plasty.Mitral valve was replaced in 5 patients.Right coronary artery bypass grafting was carried out on 3 patients. Results Mean cardiopulmonary bypass time was(231.7 ±55.9)min, and cross-clamp time was(138.1 ±31.3)min.Selective cerebral perfusion time was(31.0 ±6.8)min.9 patients died within postoperative 30-days.Conclusion Despite of progression of treatment on acute aortic syndrome, further researches are still required for severe complications and strategies of therapy.

H type hypertension is essential hypertension complicated elevated plasma homocysteine level ,which ac-counts for about 75% in Chinese adults with hypertension and is closely related to cerebral stroke and other cardio-vascular diseases .Lowering homocysteine level in patients with hypertension possesses important significance for preventing stroke .
