BACKGROUND:Graphene oxide,with its excellent physical and chemical properties and biocompatibility,can promote the differentiation of osteoblasts and inhibit the proliferation of bacteria,which will hopefully improve the success rate of implant restoration.OBJECTIVE:To summarize the research progress of graphene oxide in the field of dental implant restoration.METHODS:The related articles published by CNKI,WanFang Database,ScienceDirect,and PubMed from January 2000 to June 2024 were searched by computer.The keywords were"graphene oxide,dental implantation,biocompatibility,antibacterial mechanism,osteoblasts,mechanical properties,chemical properties"in Chinese and English.By reading the titles and abstracts,we preliminarily screened out the documents irrelevant to the topic of the article.According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,65 documents were finally included for analysis.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:Graphene oxide can increase the innate immune protection response of the body through its own antibacterial and drug-loaded antibacterial abilities,thus inhibiting the occurrence and development of periimplant inflammation.Graphene oxide can promote the proliferation and differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells,enhance the proliferation of osteoblasts and vascular endothelial cells,inhibit the proliferation of osteoclasts,increase the rate of bone bonding between implants and alveolar bones,and contribute to the formation and stability of bone around implants.Graphene oxide can promote the combination of implant and gingival tissue,and reduce the occurrence of inflammation.Graphene oxide has low toxicity,and its biological safety needs further study.Graphene oxide coating endows the surface of titanium implant with excellent physical and chemical properties,which can greatly reduce the occurrence of complications such as implant fracture and prolong the survival time of implant.

Objective To develop a novel transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement device and test its performance. Methods The transcatheter tricuspid valve stent consisted of double-layer self-expanding nitinol stent, biotissue-derived bovine pericardial leaflets, and PTFE woven. The delivery system, mainly consisting of a handle control unit and a delivery sheath, was sent to the correct position via right atrium or jugular vein. The sheath had a visualization feature, and the handle control unit could realize the functions of stable release and partial recovery of the interventional valve. In addition, this study performed animal survival experiments on the basis of in vitro experiments. A large-white pig was used as the experimental animal. Cardiopulmonary bypass was established through median thoracotomy, then the right atrium was opened, and the interventional valve was released under direct vision without cardiac arrest. Approximately 1 month after interventional valve implantation, the maneuverability and stability of the interventional tricuspid device were evaluated by autopsy. Results Through the animal experiment, the interventional valve was successfully released, and the anchoring was satisfactory. Postoperative transthoracic echocardiography showed that the interventional valve opened and closed well, the flow rate of tricuspid valve was 0.6 m/s, and there was no obvious tricuspid regurgitation. One month after the operation, we dissected the large-white pig and found the interventional valve was not deformed or displaced, the leaflets were well aligned, and there was thrombus attachment in the groove between the inner and outer layers of the interventional valve. Conclusion Animal experiment shows that the novel device can stably and firmly attach to the tricuspid annulus, with good anchoring effect, and effectively reduce paravalvular leakage.

METTL3 and METTL14 are two components that form the core heterodimer of the main RNA m6A methyltransferase complex (MTC) that installs m6A. Surprisingly, depletion of METTL3 or METTL14 displayed distinct effects on stemness maintenance of mouse embryonic stem cell (mESC). While comparable global hypo-methylation in RNA m6A was observed in Mettl3 or Mettl14 knockout mESCs, respectively. Mettl14 knockout led to a globally decreased nascent RNA synthesis, whereas Mettl3 depletion resulted in transcription upregulation, suggesting that METTL14 might possess an m6A-independent role in gene regulation. We found that METTL14 colocalizes with the repressive H3K27me3 modification. Mechanistically, METTL14, but not METTL3, binds H3K27me3 and recruits KDM6B to induce H3K27me3 demethylation independent of METTL3. Depletion of METTL14 thus led to a global increase in H3K27me3 level along with a global gene suppression. The effects of METTL14 on regulation of H3K27me3 is essential for the transition from self-renewal to differentiation of mESCs. This work reveals a regulatory mechanism on heterochromatin by METTL14 in a manner distinct from METTL3 and independently of m6A, and critically impacts transcriptional regulation, stemness maintenance, and differentiation of mESCs.

Objective    To summarize the early outcomes of totally thoracoscopic minimally invasive aortic valve replacement (AVR) and double valve replacement (DVR). Methods    The clinical data of patients who underwent totally thoracoscopic minimally invasive AVR or DVR in Guangdong Provincial People’s Hospital from April 2020 to January 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into an AVR group and a DVR group according to the surgical method, and the clinical data of the two groups were compared. Results    Finally 22 patients were enrolled, including 14 males and 8 females with an average age of 50.0±11.2 years at operation. Eight patients were degenerative disease, 8 were rheumatic heart disease combined with valvular disease, and 6 were bicuspid aortic valve. Out of the 22 patients, 16 underwent AVR alone, and 6 underwent DVR. All patients completed the operation successfully, and there was no death. Perivalvular leakage during surgery occurred in 2 patients. The average cardiopulmonary bypass time was 187.0±39.9 minutes, and aortic cross-clamping time was 117.0 (99.0, 158.0) minutes. Duration of mechanical ventilation and intensive care unit stay was 9.5 (4.8, 18.3) hours and 41.0 (34.0, 64.0) hours, respectively. The volume of chest drainage at the first 24 hours after surgery was 214.0±124.6 mL, and the postoperative hospital stay was 5.5 (4.0, 8.3) days. The cardiopulmonary bypass time and aortic cross-clamping time in the DVR group were longer than those in the AVR group, and the volume of chest drainage at 24 hours after surgery was more than that in the AVR group, with a statistical difference (P<0.05). Echocardiography before hospital discharge showed paravalvular leakage in 1 patient. There was no death during follow-up of 5.9±3.0 months. Conclusion    The early outcome of totally thoracoscopic minimally invasive AVR and DVR is satisfactory, and the approach of surgery is worth exploring.

Objective    To investigate the predictive value of right atrial myocardial fibrosis in the prognosis of isolated tricuspid regurgitation surgery after left heart valve surgery. Methods    The patients who underwent tricuspid valvuloplasty by the same operator in Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital from April 2016 to August 2021 due to long-term isolated severe tricuspid regurgitation after left heart valve surgery were included in the study. According to the degree of right atrial myocardial fibrosis, the patients were divided into three groups: a mild group, a moderate group, and a severe group. The clinical data of these patients were compared and analyzed. Results    A total of 75 patients were enrolled, including 16 males and 59 females with an average age of 57.0±8.4 years. There were 30 patients in the mild group, 29 patients in the moderate group and 16 patients in the severe group. In terms of the preoperative data, there were statistical differences in cardiac function grade, right atrial diameter, tricuspid incompetence area among the three groups (P<0.05). In terms of the postoperative data, there were statistical differences among the three groups in the cardiopulmonary bypass time, mechanical ventilation time, ICU monitoring time, complication rate and mortality (P<0.05). Further pairwise comparison showed that, compared with the mild group, the severe group had longer mechanical ventilation time (P=0.024), longer ICU monitoring time (P=0.003) and higher incidence of postoperative complications (P=0.024), while the moderate group had no statistical difference in all aspects (P>0.05); compared with the moderate group, the severe group had longer ICU monitoring time (P=0.021) and higher incidence of complications (P=0.006). Conclusion    The early outcome of tricuspid valvuloplasty in patients with isolated tricuspid regurgitation after left heart valve surgery with severe right atrial myocardial fibrosis is worse than that in the patients with mild and moderate fibrosis, suggesting that the degree of myocardial fibrosis in the right atrium can be a predictor of the effect of tricuspid regurgitation surgery and a judgement indicator of the surgery timing.

OBJECTIVE To evalu ate the quality of crude drug and di fferent processed products of Eriobotryae Folium . METHODS Ten batches of Eriobotryae Folium were processed into honey-stir-baked Eriobotryae Folium ，ginger-juice-stir-baked Eriobotryae Folium ，ginger-juice-boiled Eriobotryae Folium ，licorice-juice-stir-baked Eriobotryae Folium ，licorice-juice-boiled Eriobotryae Folium ，stir-fried Eriobotryae Folium ，totally 70 batches of samples . The contents of alcohol-soluble extracts ，the contents of total triterpene acids （calculated by ursolic acid ）and five triterpene acids such as euscaphic acid were determined by hot-dipping method ，ultraviolet and visibe spectrophotometry and high performance liquid chromatography （HPLC），respectively. The fingerprints were established with HPLC and their similarity evaluation was conducted with Similarity Evaluation System of TCM Chromatographic Fingerprint （2004A）. Common peaks were identified by comparison with mixed control. Hierarchical clustering analysis ，principal component analysis and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis （OPLS-DA） were performed by using SPSS 22.0 software and SIMCA-P 14.1 software. RESULTS In Eriobotryae Folium ，honey-stir-baked Eriobotryae Folium ，ginger-juice-stir-baked Eriobotryae Folium ，ginger-juice-boiled Eriobotryae Folium ，licorice-juice-stir-baked Eriobotryae Folium ，licorice-juice-boiled Eriobotryae Folium ，stir-fried Eriobotryae Folium ，average contents of alcohol-soluble extracts were 25.90％，39.95％，27.44％，28.20％，28.38％，26.36％ and 29.26％；average contents of total triterpene acids were 40.62，49.33，52.56，46.38，52.17，55.06 and 53.41 mg/g；average contents of euscaphic acid ，crataegolic acid ，corosolic acid ， oleanolic acid ，ursolic acid and average total content were 1.966-4.808，1.459-2.824，4.525-8.172，1.294-1.817，6.294-8.470， 15.538-25.671 mg/g，respectively. There were 11 common peaks in 70 batches of samples ，and the peak 2，5，6，10 and 11 were identified as euscaphic acid ，crataegolic acid ，corosolic acid ， oleanolic acid and ursolic acid. The similarities of crude drug different processed products with crude drug fringer print were 0.919-1.000. Among 70 batches of samples ，10 batches of Eriobotryae Folium could be clustered into one category ，and 10 batches of ginger- juice-boiled Eriobotryae Folium could be clustered into one category ；other 50 batches of processed products of Eriobotryae Folium could be clustered into one category ； the cumulative variance contribution rate of the first two principal components was 80.682％；variable importance in projection （VIP）value was in descending order ，i.e. peak 2（euscaphic acid ）＞peak 5（crataegolic acid ）＞peak 6（corosolic acid ）＞peak 9 （unknown component ） ＞peak 11 （ursolic acid ）＞peak 10 （oleanolic acid ）， which of them were all higher than 1. CONCLUSIONS After processing ，the contents of alcohol-soluble extracts ，total triterpene acids and the total content of five triterpene acids （euscaphic acid ，crataegolic acid ，corosolic acid ，oleanolic acid and ursolic acid ）increased in varying degrees ， among which the content of alcohol-soluble extracts in honey-stir-baked Eriobotryae Folium was the highest ，the content of total triterpene acids in licorice-juice-boiled Eriobotryae Folium was the highest ，and total content of five triterpene acids in ginger- juice-boiled Eriobotryae Folium was the highest. Euscaphic acid ，crataegolic acid ，corosolic acid ，ursolic acid ，oleanolic acid and other components may be the differential components affecting the quality of raw and processed the leaves from Eriobotryae Folium .

Objective: To investigate the different pattern of neck lymph node metastasis, the choice of surgical methods and prognosis in early tongue squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: A total of 157 patients with early oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma were included in this study. Statistical analysis was performed to identify the pattern of lymph node metastasis, to determine the best surgical procedure and to analyze the prognosis. Results: The occurrence of cervical lymph node metastasis rate was 31%(48/157). Neck lymphatic metastasis was significantly related to tumor size (P=0.026) and histology differentiation type (P=0.022). The rate of metastasis was highest in level Ⅱ [33% (16/48)]. In level Ⅳ, the incidence of lymph node metastasis was 5%(7/157), and there was no skip metastases. The possibility of level Ⅳ metastasis was higher, when level Ⅱ (P=0.000) or Ⅲ (P=0.000) involved. The differentiation tumor recurrence, neck lymphatic metastasis and adjuvant radiotherapy were prognostic factors (P<0.05). Multivariate analyses revealed histology differentiation type, neck lymphatic metastases and adjuvant radiotherapy were the independent prognostic factors. Conclusions Neck lymphatic metastasis rate is high in early tongue squamous cell carcinoma, simultaneous glossectomy and neck dissection should be performed. Level Ⅳ metastasis rate is extremely low, so supraomohyoid neck dissection is sufficient for most of the time. The histology differentiation type, neck lymphatic metastasis and adjuvant radiotherapy are independent prognostic factors.

Objective Investigated the treatment effect of ISCOM leukemia vaccine combination with 1-methyl tryptophan on tumor burden mice .Methods Saponin was added lipase protein (1 mg/mL) 7 ℃ for 12 h ,adding 80 μL lipid mixed solution and 5 mL saponin solution (1 mg/mL ) to prepare ISCOM leukemia vaccine .C57BL /6 mice were randomly divided into model group , ISCOM leukemia vaccine group ,1-methyl tryptophan group and combination group ,Mice were injected FBL-3 cell to built leukemia tumor-burdened mice model .After treatment for 4 weeks ,tumors weight ,NK and Mφ and CTL cell killing activity ,serum levels of IL-10 ,IL-12 were detected .Results Tumor weight in combination group was less than 1-methyl tryptophan and ISCOM leukemia group [(0 .64 ± 0 .26)g vs .(2 .49 ± 0 .91)g ,P< 0 .01 ,(0 .64 ± 0 .26)g vs .(1 .28 ± 0 .73)g ,P< 0 .05] ;NK cell killing activity in com-bination group was higher than 1-methyl tryptophan group[(38 .41 ± 8 .27)% vs .(67 .22 ± 12 .74)% ,all P< 0 .01)] ;M φ activity in combination group was significantly higher than 1-methyl tryptophan group[(55 .69 ± 13 .69)% vs .(69 .47 ± 14 .79)% ,P< 0 .01] ;CTL activity in combination group was significantly higher than 1-methyl tryptophan group and ISCOM leukemia group[(43 .77 ± 8 .89)% vs .(69 .68 ± 11 .44)% ,P< 0 .01 ,(58 .87 ± 9 .45)% vs .(69 .68 ± 11 .44)% ,P < 0 .05] ;IL-10 in combination group were significantly lower than 1 - methyl tryptophan group and ISCOM leukemia group [(76 .2 ± 6 .82)pg /L vs .(98 .3 ± 13 .4)pg/L ,P<0 .01 ,(76 .2 ± 6 .82)pg/L vs .(202 .3 ± 44 .5)pg/L ,P < 0 .01] ;IL-12 in combination group were significantly higher than 1-methyl tryptophan group and ISCOM leukemia group[(381 .2 ± 47 .3)pg/L vs .(332 .1 ± 30 .2)pg/L ,P < 0 .05 ,(381 .2 ± 47 .3)pg /L vs . (291 .2 ± 17 .3)pg/L ,P< 0 .01] .Conclusion Combination with 1-methyl tryptophan and ISCOM leukemia vaccine has a well anti-tumor effect ,its mechanism may be through mediated and the expression of IL-12 and IL-10 .

Objective To evaluate the effect of Eucommia on hyperlipidemia and related indexes in rats, and provide animal data useful for the clinical experimental studies on hyperlipidemia.Methods Seventy-two healthy male SD rats were used in this study.One group of 12 rats fed with normal diet was chosen as normal control group, and other 60 rats were fed with high fat diet for two weeks to generate rat models of hyperlipidemia.48 of the hyperlipidemic model rats were taken and divided randomly into 4 groups, including model group, high dose Eucommia, moderate dose Eucommia, and low dose Eucommia groups.The last three groups were gavaged different dose of Eucommia, respectively.Druing this period, the other groups except the normal control group were fed with high fat diet continuously.The levels of serum TC, TG, LDL-C, and HDL-C of rats were measured on day 30 and 45.Results The serum levels of TC and LDL-C of the rats in the model group were obviously higher than those in the normal control group.The rat models of hyperlipidemia were established successfully.The three dose groups had a tendency of lowing blood lipid after 30 days.At 45 days, the levels of serum TC and LDL-C in the low and high dose groups were lower than those in the model group (P<0.01, P<0.05), (P<0.01, P<0.01).TG in the high, moderate and low dose groups were lower than that in the model group (P<0.01, P<0.01, P<0.01), but the level of the serum HDL-C was not significantly lower than that in the model group (P>0.05, P>0.05, P>0.05).Conclusions Eucommia in a dose of 0.43 g/kg, 0.86 g/kg and 1.71 g/kg administered for 30 days have a tendency to reduce the level of serum TC, TG, and LDL-C.When Eucommia is administered in a dose of 0.43 g/kg, 1.71g/kg and 3.42 g/kg for 45 days, it shows an adjuvant hypolipidemic effect.
