Objective To investigate the effect of obstructive sleep apnea(OSA)on behavioral problems in children and the association between them.Methods A simple random sampling method was used to select 100 children aged 4 to 12 years for the case group.All of them were diagnosed with OSA through overnight polysomnography at the Sleep Medicine Center,West China Fourth Hospital,Sichuan University between October 2022 and October 2023.An additional 100 children without snoring symptoms and clinically evaluated and confirmed as not having OSA were enrolled as the control group.General demographic data of the participants were collected.The Caregiver Report Form of the Achenbach Child Behavior Checklist(CBCL)was used for behavioral problem assessment,and polysomnography data were collected.The chi-square/t test was used to analyze the inter-group differences in general data,the total score of behavioral problems,and scores for each dimension.Linear regression was performed to analyze the relationship between OSA and the total score for children's behavioral problems and those for the different dimensions.Logistic regression was applied to analyze the relationship between the obstructive apnoea-hypopnea index(OAHI)and behavioral problems in children with OSA.A logistic regression model integrating the OAHI×sex interaction term was constructed to evaluate the moderating effect of sex on the association between OAHI and behavioral problems.Results No significant differences were observed in general demographic data between the case and control groups.The total score for behavioral problems and those for each dimension were higher in the case group than those in the control group,with the total score of the case group being 24.60±1.55 and that of the control group being 8.85±0.75(P<0.001).The results of the linear regression analysis showed a positive association between OSA and both the total score for behavioral problems(b=16.01;95%CI,12.56-19.47)and those for each dimension.The results of the logistic regression analysis showed that,after adjusting for covariates,OAHI was a risk factor for behavioral problems in children with OSA(odds ratio[OR]=1.17;95%CI,1.04-1.31).After stratification by sex and adjustment for covariates,the OR value of the effect of OAHI on behavioral problems was slightly higher in female participants(1.57)than that in male participants(1.21).The interaction effect analysis showed that sex moderated the association between OAHI and behavioral problems(OR=1.64;95%CI,1.02-2.64;P=0.04).Conclusion Children with OSA are prone to developing behavioral problems.OAHI is a risk factor for behavioral problems in children with OSA,with a potentially greater effect observed in girls.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of polydatin （PD） on the inflammatory response in dry eye disease （DED） rats and its potential mechanism based on protein kinase A （PKA）/cyclic adenosine monophosphate response element binding protein （CREB） signaling pathway. METHODS Male SD rats were randomly divided into blank control group （normal group）， model group （simple DED group）， 0.05%PD group， 0.5%PD group and 0.5%PD+PKA inhibitor H-89 group （0.5%PD+H-89 group）， with 15 rats in each group. Except for the normal group， the rats in other groups were prepared with a DED model by injecting scopolamine hydrobromide 12.5 mg/d onto the surface of eyeball. At the same time， each drug group was given corresponding liquid medicine （0.5% or 0.05% PD， eye drip， 3 times a day； 1 mg/kg H-89， intraperitoneal injection， once a day） for 7 d in total. The tear secretion， corneal fluorescein staining score and conjunctival goblet cell density of rats were detected in each group； the pathological changes of corneal tissues were observed， and the levels of inflammatory factors （tumor necrosis factor-α， interleukin-1β， interleukin-6） and the expression of PKA/CREB signaling pathway-related proteins were detected E-mail：rwei@tmu.edu.cn in corneal tissues. R ESULTS Compared with normal group， the corneal epithelium of rats in the simple DED group was thickened， stromal layer cells were disordered and partially absent， nuclear spacing was larger， and a large number of inflammatory cells infiltrated； the tear secretion， conjunctival goblet cell density and the phosphorylation levels of PKA and CREB in corneal tissues were reduced significantly， while the corneal fluorescein staining score and the levels of inflammatory factors in corneal tissue were increased significantly （P＜0.05）. Compared with the simple DED group， the pathological injuries of corneal tissues of rats in 0.05%PD and 0.5%PD groups were alleviated， each quantitative index was significantly improved， and the improvement effect of 0.5%PD group was more obvious （P＜0.05）. H-89 could reverse the improvement effect of PD on each index significantly （P＜0.05）. CONCLUSIONS PD can increase tear secretion and the conjunctival goblet cell density， and reduce the inflammatory response and pathological injury of corneal tissue in DED rats. The above effects are related to the activation of PKA/CREB signaling pathway.

Objective:To analyze the influencing factors related to the prognosis of delayed replantation of avulsed permanent teeth.Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on the clinical data of 35 patients with 38 affected teeth underwent delayed replantation of permanent teeth.According to the prognosis after 12 to 108 months of follow-up,the replantation results of the cases were divided into-success,survival and failure groups.Survival curves were plotted using Kaplan-Meier method,Log-Rank test was used for univariate analysis,and Cox proportional risk regression models were used for multivariate analysis to assess the effects of gender,age,degree of tooth development,mode of tooth preservation and mode of endodontic treatment on the survival rate of replanted teeth.Results:Of the 38 replanted teeth,3 were successful,28 remained and 10 failed.The 9-year cumulative survival rate of the replanted teeth was 34.7％.The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the survival rate of the replanted teeth in the groups with different sex,age,degree of tooth development and the mode of preservation of avulsed teeth(P＞0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the cumulative survival rate of the replanted teeth among the groups with different endodontic treatment(P＜0.01),which showed that the cumulative survival rate in the root canal filling group＞continuous root canal sealing group＞pulp preserva-tion treatment group.Conclusion:For the delayed replantation of avulsed premanent teeth,survival prognosis of the teeth treated with pulp preservation is poor,early pulp extraction and root canal filling are recommended.

Objective To investigate the evaluation of the nursing staff of the tertiary hospitals in Shenzhen City on the status quo of the nursing clinical support system,and to analyze its influencing factors so as to provide reference and basis for perfecting the nursing clinical support system.Methods The nursing staffs in 16 hospitals of 8 districts of Shenzhen City from December 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the survey subjects,and the general data questionnaire and the nursing clinical support system questionnaire were used for conducting the survey.Results A total of 572 questionnaires were collected,and 520 questionnaires were valid,with an effective recovery rate of 90.9％.The scores of each dimension in the nursing clinical sup-port system scale were(1.87±0.81)points for equipment and appliance support,(1.07±0.62)points for aux-iliary staff support,(1.91±0.80)points for the logistics departments support,(0.88±0.67)points for the auxiliary departments support.The results of univariate analysis showed that there were statistical differences in the equipment and appliance support scores among the nurses with different ages,different professional ti-tles and different education levels(P＜0.01);the scores of 4 dimensions had statistical differences among the nursing staffs with different departments(P＜0.01).All factors had statistically significant differences in the dimension of auxiliary department support(P＜0.05).Conclusion The popularity degree of nursing clinical support system in tertiary hospitals in Shenzhen City is high,and equipment and appliance show the character-istics of advancement and diversity.The hospital managers should strengthen the force of nursing clinical sup-port system and reduce the nursing staff to engage in non-nursing work.

Objective:To evaluate the effect of inhalation of sevoflurane during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) on early postoperative brain injury in the patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement.Methods:Forty-two American Society of Anesthesiaologists physical status Ⅱ or Ⅲ patients of either sex, aged 40-70 yr, weighing 47-86 kg, scheduled for elective single valve replacement under CPB, were divided into 3 groups ( n=14 each) using a random number table method: control group (group C), combined intravenous-inhalational anesthesia group (group CA) and sevoflurane group (group S). During CPB, propofol 4-6 mg·kg -1·h -1 was intravenously infused in group C, propofol 2-3 mg·kg -1·h -1 was intravenously infused, and 0.5 MAC sevoflurane was inhaled via the membrane oxygenator in group CA, and 1.0-1.5 MAC sevoflurane was inhaled via the membrane oxygenator in group S. The anesthesia and sedation index values were maintained at 40-60 during operation in the three groups.Blood samples were taken from arteries before anesthesia induction (T 1), at 30 min and 6 and 24 h after termination of CPB (T 2-4) for determination of plasma concentrations of neuron-specific enolase (NSE) and Tau protein. Results:Compared with group C, the plasma concentration of NSE was significantly decreased at T 2, 3, and plasma concentration of Tau protein was decreased at T 2-4 in group S, and the plasma concentration of Tau protein was decreased at T 2 in group CA ( P<0.05). Compared with group CA, the plasma concentration of NSE was significantly decreased at T 2, 3, and the plasma concentration of Tau protein was decreased at T 2-4 in group S ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Inhalation of sevoflurane during CPB can reduce early postoperative brain injury to a certain extent in the patients undergoing cardiac valve replacement.

Many environmental chemical pollutant exposures can regulate gene expression and promote disease occurrence and development through epigenetic mechanisms. This review outlines the mechanisms of epigenetics and the latest research advances in exposure and epigenetics of several environmental chemical substances (heavy metal arsenic, bisphenol A, dioctyl phthalate and benzene). To further understand and study the relationship between environmental chemical pollutant exposures and epigenetics in order to elucidate the mechanisms of disease occurrence and development.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a metabolic disease which can progress to liver fibrosis, liver cirrhosis, and liver cancer. Sarcopenia is an age-related disease and metabolic factors play an important role in its pathogenesis. NAFLD and sarcopenia share a variety of metabolic pathophysiological mechanisms. Further studies are needed to determine whether there is an association between NAFLD and sarcopenia and whether they are predisposing factors or risk factors for disease progression for each other, in order to help with better prevention, treatment, and prognostic evaluation of the two diseases in clinical practice. This article reviews the independent association between NAFLD and sarcopenia.

Objective To explore the relationship between personality and depression,especially to investigate mediating effect of positive mental characters.Methods A sample of 1 933 male recruits was assessed with eysenck personality questionnaire (EPQ),positive mental characters scale for recruits (PMCS-R) and self-rating depression scale (SDS).Results The scores of introversion-extroversion,psychoticism,neuroticism,positive mental characters and depression were 55.26±10.59,42.85±7.25,42.35± 11.67,3.80±0.64,0.45±0.11,respectively.There were correlations among personality,positive mental characters and depression in recruits (P＜0.05).Regression analysis indicated that introversion-extroversion,psychoticism and neuroticism predicted depression directly,and it could explain 42.6％ of the total variance (F=476.28,P＜0.05).Hierarchy regression analysis showed that positive mental characters mediate the relationship between personality (introversion-extroversion,psychoticism,neuroticism) and depression (the mediation effect was 0.22,0.19 and 0.11 respectively,P＜ 0.05).Conclusion Recruits' personality affects depression not only directly,but also indirectly through positive mental characters.
