Objective To explore the application effects of an innovative teaching model(blended 5MP)that organically combines blended teaching and the five-minute teaching method in clinical teaching for operating room nursing students.Methods Using convenience sampling,94 nursing students who interned in operating room of Kunming Children's Hospital from July 2023 to March 2024 were randomly assigned to observation and control groups,with 47 students in each group.For the control group,a traditional blended learning approach was utilized,whereas the observation group implemented a blended 5MP teaching model.Results The observation group's post-class assignment scores,theoretical exam scores,and practical skills assessment scores were all significantly higher than those in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The observation group also had higher scores in the Self-Assessment of Clinical Reasoning and Reflection Scale,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Furthermore,the observation group reported higher satisfaction rates regarding teaching methods,teaching formats,theoretical instruction,practical instruction,and overall satisfaction compared to the control group,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The blended approach combines online and offline instructional modalities,allowing for a more strategic allocation of educational resources.This methodology enables students to thoroughly acquire essential knowledge and skills while simultaneously fostering advanced clinical reasoning and reflective competencies.By adopting this innovative educational model,institutions can significantly enhance the academic experience and professional development of nursing students.

Objective? To understand the attitude toward hospice care and its infLuencing factors among undergraduate nursing students majoring in TraditionaL Chinese Medicine (TCM), and to provide basis for nursing educators to formuLate hospice care training strategies. Methods? Using convenient sampLing method, a totaL of 827 undergraduate nursing students from 3 TCM universities in Shandong, Shanxi and He'nan provinces were seLected as subjects from September to October 2018. The generaL information questionnaire and the Chinese version of FrommeLt Attitude Toward Care of the Dying (FATCOD) were used. MuLtipLe Linear regression was used to anaLyze infLuencing factors. ResuLts? The totaL score of FATCOD among the 827 undergraduate TCM nursing students was (101.32±9.15). Univariate Linear regression resuLts showed that gender, singLe-chiLd status, wiLLingness to choose nursing major, attitudes toward nursing, the situation where students discussed death with famiLy, experience with funeraLs, experience with terminaL reLatives, wiLLingness to take care terminaL patients were aLL factors that couLd affect the attitudes toward hospice care among nursing students (t/F=-3.066,-2.783, 3.289, 12.577, 10.638, 2.680, -2.251, 8.697;P＜0.05). MuLtipLe Linear regression anaLysis resuLts showed that gender, singLe-chiLd status, attitudes toward nursing, wiLLingness to take care terminaL patients, experience with funeraLs, the situation where students discussed death with famiLy, experience with terminaL reLatives have an impact on the attitude toward hospice care (P＜ 0.05). ConcLusions? The attitude toward hospice care among undergraduate TCM nursing students needs to be further improved. Educators shouLd adopt various methods of teaching to carry out death education according to the infLuencing factors, and to cuLtivate proper perception of death and improve the enthusiasm for hospice care.

Objective To compare three ultrasonic methods of transabdominal , transvaginal , and transperineal ultrasonogra-phy for the cervical length ( CL) in predicting the preterm birth .Methods The pregnancy women with threatened preterm labor in Hunan Provincial Hospital of Maternal and Child Health from January , 2012 to December, 2013 were chosen to measure the cervical length by sonography , and were randomly divided into three guoups ( 280 pregnancy women in each group ) , including Group Ⅰ( transabdominal ) , groupⅡ( transvaginal ) , and group Ⅲ ( transperineal ) .The cervical length and the pregnancy outcome were fol-lowed up.Results The acceptance rate of group Ⅱ(81.8%=229/280) was significantly lower than that of groupⅠ(100%=280/280)and group Ⅲ(99.3%=278/280)( P <0.05).The realization ratio of the cervix in group Ⅰ(85.0%=238/280) was signifi-cantly lower than that of group Ⅱ(98.7%=226/229) and group Ⅲ (98.2%=273/278) ( P <0.05).The preterm birth rate of 48.6%(18/37) in groupⅠ, 37.8%(28/74) in groupⅡ, and 37.1%(33/89) in groupⅢin the pregnancy women with CL <3 cm was significantly higher than the corresponding preterm birth rate of 17.9%(36/201) in groupⅠ, 13.2%(20/152)in groupⅡ, and 13.6% (25/184) in groupⅢin the pregnancy women with CL≥3 cm.The sensitivity of groupⅠ(33.3%=18/54) was significantly lower than that of group Ⅱ(58.3%=28/48) and group Ⅲ(56.9%=33/58).Conclusions The cervical length measured by ultra-sound is valuable in predicting preterm birth among the pregnancy women with threatened preterm birth .The transperineal ultrasonogra-phy is superior to transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasonography in predicting preterm birth , and is worth being popularized .
