Yttrium-90 selective internal radiation therapy (⁹⁰Y-SIRT) is a treatment technique that delivers radioactive microspheres precisely to the arterial vascular bed of neoplasms, utilizing beta radiation to administer a high local dose of radiation to the neoplasm tissues. This technology has demonstrated significant efficacy in patients with unresectable pirmary liver cancers and liver metastases. This article systematically reviews the development history and clinical application status of ⁹⁰Y-SIRT in the treatment of liver cancer, and looks forward to future development directions.

Objective: To investigate the current status and influencing factors of overweight and obesity among adults in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide a basis for developing targeted weight management measures. Methods: In 2024, a multistage stratified random cluster sampling method was employed to recruit permanent residents aged ≥18 years from Jiaxing City for questionnaire surveys. Data on basic information, lifestyle behaviors, and history of chronic diseases were collected. Height and body weight were measured, and overweight and obesity were determined based on body mass index (BMI). The influencing factors of overweight and obesity among adults were analyzed by a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: Totally 10 509 questionnaires were allocated, and 9 802 valid questionnaires were recovered, with an effective recovery rate of 93.27%. Among the respondents, 4 808 (49.05%) were males and 4 994 (50.95%) were females, with a mean age of (51.27±17.26) years. A total of 4 884 overweight and obesity individuals were identified, with a detection rate of 49.83%. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that gender (male, OR=1.719, 95%CI: 1.578-1.873), age (≥60 years, OR=0.802, 95%CI: 0.652-0.986), educational level (bachelor and above, OR=0.640, 95%CI: 0.518-0.791), marital status (being married/cohabiting, OR=1.224, 95%CI: 1.009-1.486), adequate nut intake (OR=0.910, 95%CI: 0.832-0.995), hypertension (OR=2.462, 95%CI: 2.219-2.732), and dyslipidemia (OR=1.629, 95%CI: 1.444-1.837) were statistically associated with overweight and obesity among adults. Conclusion The detected rate of overweight and obesity among adults in Jiaxing City was relatively high, and was mainly associated with gender, age, education level, marital status, nut intake, hypertension, and dyslipidemia.

Background::Breast cancer (BC) risk-stratification tools for Asian women that are highly accurate and can provide improved interpretation ability are lacking. We aimed to develop risk-stratification models to predict long- and short-term BC risk among Chinese women and to simultaneously rank potential non-experimental risk factors.Methods::The Breast Cancer Cohort Study in Chinese Women, a large ongoing prospective dynamic cohort study, includes 122,058 women aged 25-70 years old from the eastern part of China. We developed multiple machine-learning risk prediction models using parametric models (penalized logistic regression, bootstrap, and ensemble learning), which were the short-term ensemble penalized logistic regression (EPLR) risk prediction model and the ensemble penalized long-term (EPLT) risk prediction model to estimate BC risk. The models were assessed based on calibration and discrimination, and following this assessment, they were externally validated in new study participants from 2017 to 2020.Results::The AUC values of the short-term EPLR risk prediction model were 0.800 for the internal validation and 0.751 for the external validation set. For the long-term EPLT risk prediction model, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was 0.692 and 0.760 in internal and external validations, respectively. The net reclassification improvement index of the EPLT relative to the Gail and the Han Chinese Breast Cancer Prediction Model (HCBCP) models for external validation was 0.193 and 0.233, respectively, indicating that the EPLT model has higher classification accuracy.Conclusions::We developed the EPLR and EPLT models to screen populations with a high risk of developing BC. These can serve as useful tools to aid in risk-stratified screening and BC prevention.

Objective:To assess the effectiveness of a 6-month Ba Duan Jin exercise program in improving the balance of community-dwelling older adults.Methods:A two arms, parallel-group, cluster randomized controlled trial was conducted in 1 028 community residents aged 60-80 years in 40 communities in 5 provinces of China. Participants in the intervention group (20 communities, 523 people) received Ba Duan Jin exercise 5 days/week, 1 hour/day for 6 months, and three times of falls prevention health education, and the control group (20 communities, 505 people) received falls prevention health education same as the intervention group. The Berg balance scale (BBS) score was the leading outcome indicator, and the secondary outcome indicators included the length of time of standing on one foot (with eyes open and closed), standing in a tandem stance (with eyes open and closed), the closed circle test, and the timed up to test.Results:A total of 1 028 participants were included in the final analysis, including 731 women (71.11%) and 297 men (28.89%), and the age was (69.87±5.67) years. After the 3-month intervention, compared with the baseline data, the BBS score of the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group by 3.05 (95% CI: 2.23-3.88) points ( P<0.001). After the 6-month intervention, compared with the baseline data, the BBS score of the intervention group was significantly higher than the control group by 4.70 (95% CI: 4.03-5.37) points ( P<0.001). Ba Duan Jin showed significant improvement ( P<0.05) in all secondary outcomes after 6 months of exercise in the intervention group compared with the control group. Conclusions:This study showed that Ba Duan Jin exercise can improve balance in community-dwelling older adults aged 60-80. The longer the exercise time, the better the improvement.

Objective:To explore any effect of intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS) and of different sequencing of rehabilitation training on upper limb dysfunction after a stroke.Methods:Thirty-six patients with upper limb motor dysfunction after subacute subcortical cerebral infarction were divided at random into a control group, an experimental group 1, and an experimental group 2, each of 12. The control group was given prosthetic stimulation and upper limb function rehabilitation training. Experimental group l received focal iTBS stimulation on M1 immediately followed by upper limb rehabilitation training. Experimental group 2 received the same treatment but in reverse order. The experiment lasted four weeks. Upper limb functioning and ability in the activities of daily living (ADL) were quantified before and after the interventions using the Fugl-Meyer upper extremity assessment (FMA-UE) and the modified Barthel index (MBI). Cortical latency (CL) was also recorded.Results:Before the treatment there were no significant differences among the three groups, but afterward a significant increase was observed in the average FMA-UE and MBI scores of both experimental groups accompanied by a significant decrease in CL. There was no significant difference between the two experimental groups′ results, on average.Conclusion:Supplementing upper limb rehabilitation training with iTBS can significantly improve the upper limb functioning of ischemic stroke survivors, and the sequencing of the training has no effect on the therapeutic results.

Objective:To investigate the occurrence of catheter fracture in totally implantable venous access ports (TIVAP) and analyze its influencing factors.Methods:A retrospective nested case-control study was used to establish a cohort of 3 517 patients with TIVAP and infusion port maintenance in Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University from January 2012 to December 2021, and they were divided into the fracture group and the control group. The general information questionnaire, TIVAP Catheter Fracture Related Factors Questionnaire and TIVAP Catheter Fracture Clinical Characteristics Questionnaire were used to collect general and clinical data of patients in two groups. The risk factors of TIVAP catheter fracture were analyzed by Logistic regression.Results:The incidence of TIVAP catheter fracture was 0.6% (21/3 517) . Logistic regression analysis showed that the operator's experience of placing ports, whether the patient performed TIVAP maintenance regularly, time for patients carrying the infusion port and whether TIVAP were repeatedly blocked were influencing factors for the occurrence of catheter fracture in TIVAP.Conclusions:Nursing staff should fully understand the risk factors of TIVAP catheter fracture, identify high-risk groups in the early stage and carry out targeted nursing interventions to reduce the incidence of TIVAP catheter fracture.

ObjectiveTo observe the variation in content of vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） in patients with Alzheimer's disease （AD） and to investigate efficacy of Yangxue Qingnao granule on AD and the effect on VEGF. MethodA total of 60 patients with cognitive impairment ［30 of AD and 30 of amnestic mild cognitive impairment （aMCI）］ were selected， and another 30 healthy people with Montreal Cognitive Assessment （MoCA）≥26 and age， gender， and complications insignificantly different from the patients were included as healthy control. The venous blood of aMCI group， AD group， and the healthy control group was collected at the enrollment to measure the level of serum VEGF. Then， the aMCI and AD patients were randomized into the observation group and the control group， with 30 patients in each group. The control group was given Donepezil Hydrochloride （5 mg·d^-1）， while the observation group received Donepezil Hydrochloride （5 mg·d^-1） and Yangxue Qingnao granule. MoCA was used to evaluate the severity of cognitive impairment. After the treatment for 6 months， the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions of the two groups were compared， and the serum VEGF levels were detected again by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）. ResultThe serum content of VEGF in AD patients was significantly lower than that in aMCI patients and healthy people （P<0.05）. Serum VEGF levels in aMCI patients were significantly decreased compared with those in healthy people （P<0.05）. After treatment for 6 months， the serum VEGF level in the observation group was significantly higher than that before treatment， and was higher than that in the control group （P<0.05）. MoCA scores in the observation group were higher than those in control group （P<0.05）. The incidence of adverse reactions was insignificantly different between both groups. ConclusionThe serum levels of VEGF significantly decreased in aMCI and AD patients， suggesting that angiogenesis might be involved in the pathophysiological process of AD and correlated with the early stage of AD. Yangxue Qingnao granule， as a safe adjuvant therapy， showed ideal effect on aMCI and AD， as manifested by the improvement of cognitive function. The mechanism is the likelihood that it can elevate the expression of angiogenic factors such as VEGF， promote angiogenesis， and then improve the microcirculation of cortex.

Objective:To investigate the prevalence of cataract and its risk factors in the Jiu Shi Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Han and Kazak people aged 50 years old and over in Emin County, Tacheng area, Xinjiang.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted.An epidemiological survey on the prevalence of cataract among people aged 50 years old and over was performed by the Department of Ophthalmology of North China University of Science and Technology Affiliated Hospital in the Jiu Shi Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Emin County from October 2015 to June 2018.The basic sampling units (BSUs) were divided according to the administrative regions, with about 1 000 people in each administrative region.With a population exceeding 1 500, sample units would be divided into more than two BSUs according to the population.Xinjiang Tacheng area was divided into 240 BSUs, and 12 BSUs were selected by random number table method for inspection.With the lens opacity classification system Ⅱ (LOCS Ⅱ) as the diagnostic standard, the prevalence rate of cataract in different nationalities and different ages in this area was evaluated, and the relationship between age, nationality, sex, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease, ultraviolet irradiation time and the prevalence rate of cataract was analyzed.This study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Jiu Shi Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (No.SW-201501-04).Results:The prevalence rate of cataract among people aged 50 and over in the Jiu Shi Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and Emin County was 76.34%.The prevalence rate of cataract in 50-<60-year-old group, 60-<70-year-old group, 70-<80-year-old group and ≥80-year-old group was 23.30%, 77.40%, 89.60% and 100.00%, respectively.There were significant differences in the prevalence among people between different ages, different nationalities, with and without hypertension, with and without diabetes, with and without hyperlipidemia (all at P<0.01). There was no significant difference in the prevalence among people between different sexes, with and without coronary heart disease, smoking or not, different ultraviolet irradiation time (all at P>0.05). Multiple logistic regression analysis showed that age (50-<60 years old: [ OR=39.93, 95% CI: 20.77-76.77; 60-<70 years old: OR=3.81, 95% CI: 2.05-7.08; 70-<80 years old: OR=1.72, 95% CI: 0.92-3.22]), hypertension ( OR=1.54, 95% CI: 1.13-2.11) and hyperlipidemia ( OR=1.41, 95% CI: 1.10-2.03) were independent risk factors for cataract. Conclusions:The incidence of cataract in the Jiu Shi Hospital of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and people aged 50 and over in Emin County is higher than that in other parts of China, in which age, hypertension and hyperlipidemia are independent risk factors for cataract.

OBJECTIVES: We performed an updated meta-analysis to clarify the relationship between the CEBPE rs2239633 polymorphism and the childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (CALL) susceptibility. METHODS: All the case-control studies were updated on October 5, 2020, through Web of Science, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Embase, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) electronic database. The heterogeneity in the study was tested by the Q test and I RESULTS: A total of 20 case-control studies were selected, including 7014 patients and 16,428 controls. There was no association of CEBPE rs2239633 polymorphism with CALL (CC vs CT + TT: OR = 1.08, 95% CI = 0.94-1.26; CC + CT vs TT: OR = 1.10, 95% CI = 0.94-1.30; C vs T: OR = 1.02, 95% CI = 0.92-1.13). In the subgroup analysis by ethnicity, there is no significant association of this polymorphism and CALL risks among Asian and Caucasian populations in the three genetic models (CC vs CT + TT, CC + CT vs TT, and C vs T). CONCLUSION This meta-analysis found no significant association between the CEBPE rs2239633 polymorphism and susceptibility to CALL.

Drug-associated reward memories are conducive to intense craving and often trigger relapse. Simvastatin has been shown to regulate lipids that are involved in memory formation but its influence on other cognitive processes is elusive. Here, we used a mass spectrometry-based lipidomic method to evaluate the impact of simvastatin on the mouse brain in a cocaine-induced reinstatement paradigm. We found that simvastatin blocked the reinstatement of cocaine-induced conditioned place preference (CPP) without affecting CPP acquisition. Specifically, only simvastatin administered during extinction prevented cocaine-primed reinstatement. Global lipidome analysis showed that the nucleus accumbens was the region with the greatest degree of change caused by simvastatin. The metabolism of fatty-acids, phospholipids, and triacylglycerol was profoundly affected. Simvastatin reversed most of the effects on phospholipids induced by cocaine. The correlation matrix showed that cocaine and simvastatin significantly reshaped the lipid metabolic pathways in specific brain regions. Furthermore, simvastatin almost reversed all changes in the fatty acyl profile and unsaturation caused by cocaine. In summary, pre-extinction treatment with simvastatin facilitates cocaine extinction and prevents cocaine relapse with brain lipidome remodeling.
