Objective To compare the clinical effects of single-puncture and double-puncture subcutaneous tunneling techniques for PICC placement in cancer patients,and to provide references for nurses in selecting appropriate catheterization methods.Methods A continuous sampling method was adopted to select cancer patients who underwent PICC placement in the Department of Oncology at a tertiary general hospital in Nanning from June 2022 to December 2023.According to the actual catheterization technique received by patients,they were assigned to either the single-puncture or double-puncture subcutaneous tunneling group.After 1:1 propensity score matching(PSM),the 2 groups were compared in terms of catheter-related complication rates,pain scores and total catheterization time.Results After propensity score matching,79 patients were included in each group.The results showed that the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis,pain scores,and total catheterization time in the one-needle subcutaneous tunneling group were significantly lower than those in the two-needle subcutaneous tunneling group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).Conclusion The one-needle subcutaneous tunneling method can effectively reduce the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis and pain during catheterization in cancer patients,while also shortening the total catheterization time.

Objective To analyze the characteristics of the crown-root ratios of the anterior teeth in subjects with different periodontal phenotypes in healthy population.Methods A total of 100 periodontally healthy young volunteers were selected,there were 53 females and 47 males,totaling 594 anterior teeth were included in the study.The periodontal probe method was used to determine the periodontal phenotypes of different tooth positions,with 108 cases of thick gingival type and 90 cases of thin gingival type in mesial incisors;95 teeth of thick gingival type and 103 teeth of thin gingival type in lateral incisors,and 98 teeth of thick gingival type and 100 teeth of thin gingival type in cuspids.Panoramic radiographs were taken,crown length and root length of upper anterior teeth were calculated,and crown-root ratio was calculated,to compare and analyze the differences between the results of the two groups.Results The crown-to-root ratio in thin gingival group of mesial incisors and lateral incisors were higher than those in thick gingival group,and the root length was smaller than thick gingival group.The difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The keratinized gingival width of thin gingival group was less than that of thick gingival group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The relatively high crown-to-root ratio of mesial incisors and lateral incisors in patients with thin gingival phenotypes and the lesser width of keratinized gingiva in thin gingival phenotypes than thick gingival phenotypes.and risk assessment should be taken into account in the restorative system as well as in the orthodontic design of the anterior tooth movement.

The article presents the diagnosis and treatment of an imported case with severe Plasmodium falciparum malaria, and the effect of plasma exchange combined with continuous renal replacement therapy. Severe P. falciparum malaria is characterized by complex clinical symptoms and multiple complications, and plasma exchange combined with continuous renal replacement therapy has a satisfactory therapeutic efficacy for severe P. falciparum malaria.

Objective:To explore the mediating role of rumination thinking between demoralization and quality of life in malignant tumor patients, provide guidance and reference for helping tumor patients overcome rumination thinking and demoralization and improve quality of life.Methods:From February 2020 to June 2022, 189 patients with malignant tumors admitted to the Department of Oncology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were selected by convenience sampling method as the research objects, and a cross-sectional survey was conducted using general information questionnaire, Demoralization Scale-Mandarin Version, Ruminative Responses Scale, Punctional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General.Results:Among 189 malignant tumor patients, there were 102 males, 87 females, aged (43.54 ± 13.12) years old. The total score of loss of demoralization was (34.37 ± 10.34) points, the total score of rumination thinking was (41.01 ± 17.10) points, the total score of quality of life was (48.51 ± 15.41) points. The Pearson analysis results showed that the total score of demoralization in malignant tumor patients was negatively correlated with the total score of quality of life ( r = -0.502, P<0.01); the total score of rumination thinking was negatively correlated with the total score of quality of life ( r = -0.465, P<0.01), and the total score of demoralization was positively correlated with the total score of rumination thinking ( r = 0.628, P<0.01). Bootstrap mediation test results showed that ruminant thinking played a partial mediating effect between demoralization and quality of life of patients with malignant tumors, accounted for 30.9% of the total effect. Conclusions:Rumination plays a partially mediating role in the demoralization and quality of life of patients with malignant tumors, suggesting that clinical staff can improve the quality of life of patients with tumors by developing a systematic and comprehensive cognitive-behavioral intervention strategy to improve the demoralization and rumination.

Objective:To explore the intervention effect of different modes of ankle pump exercise on femoral vein peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) catheter-related thrombosis in patients with lung cancer.Methods:Using the convenient sampling method, 96 cases of lung cancer patients with femoral vein PICC catheterization admitted to Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from January 2019 to October 2020 were set as the control group and 97 cases of lung cancer patients with femoral vein PICC cannula from October 2020 to October 2021 were set as the observation group. They adopted the comfort angle ankle pump exercise and the maximum angle ankle pump exercise mode, respectively. The differences in the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis, the incidence of unplanned extubation, fatigue score and catheter indwelling time were compared between the two groups.Results:The incidence of catheter-related thrombosis and unplanned extubation in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The fatigue score and catheter indwelling time of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The maximum angle ankle pump motion mode can reduce the incidence of catheter-related thrombosis and unplanned extubation of femoral vein PICC catheterization in patients with lung cancer and improve the catheter indwelling time, but it is easy to cause patient fatigue, so clinical promotion and use should consider the patients' tolerance.

Progressive diaphyseal dysplasia , also called Camurati-Engelmann disease (CED), is a kind of autosomal dominant disease mainly involved in long diaphysis , characterized as progressive and symmetric cortical thickening as well as low prevalence.The pathogenic gene of the disease is TGFB 1 located in 19q13, resulting in abnormal bone metabolism.We report a young woman suffering from CED , mainly presented as decreased visual acuity , chronic high intracranial pressure and skull damages by cerebral angiography.The digital subtraction angiography revealed the right transverse sinus stenosis .We first revealed a CED patient with chronic high intracranial pressure caused by sinus stenosis , and selected intravascular therapy for the sinus stenosis.

Objective To assessed the distribution of two single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)loci (rs2383206.rs10757278)on chromosome 9p21 in Xinjiang Uygur and Han nationality populations,and to investigate correlation and the incidence of all cases of macrovascular disease (coronary artery disease,carotid atherosclerosis and peripheral arterial disease)and analysis of risk factors.To further study the correlation between the incidence of two single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)loci (rs2383206.rs10757278)on chromosome 9p21 in type 2 diabetes melli-tus(T2DM)of Han and Uygur ethnic and the incidence of all cases vascular disease,then to analysis the risk factors. Methods 497 adults with T2DM who were treated in the Endocrinology department in hospital from May 2012 to April 2014 were involved in this study,including 298 Uygur patients and 199 Han patients.215 non -T2DMpatients who were treated in the Cardiology department in hospital were also involved in the study,including 93 Uighur patients and 122 Han patients.Then the total 712 patients were detectedby using PCR -SNP Stream technology to analyse rs2383206.rs10757278 loci SNP genotyping.The relevant results were compared with t test,two different genotype distribution and allele frequency were compared with χ2 test,multiple factors analysis were calculated by Logisitic regression.Results The distribution of genotype with two SNP loci had no significant difference between the patients in Uygur group and Han group (rs2383206χ2 =5.570,P =0.062;rs10757278 χ2 =2.721,P =0.257 ),and there's no significant difference between the patients with macrovascular disease and non -macrovascular disease in all patients(rs2383206χ2 =0.120,P =0.950;rs10757278 χ2 =1.027,P =0.598).Logisitic regression analysis showed that the incidence of macrovascular was significantly associated with increasing age(χ2 =28.820,P =0.000)and fatty liver(χ2 =5.210,P =0.020)in Uighur group with type 2 DM.In Han group with type 2 DM,the macrovascular was significantly associated with the increase of age (χ2 =19.980,P =0.000),elevated fasting blood glucose (FPG)(χ2 =4.070,P =0.044)and poor controlled with glycosylated hemoglobin (χ2 =4.280,P =0.040). Conclusion This study found that there's no correlation between two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPS)loci (rs2383206.rs10757278)on chromosome 9 p21 large with macrovascular in Uygur group and Han group.Increasing age,higher FPG and poor controlled with glycosylated hemoglobin combined with fatty liver were the risk factors for macrovascular.

100 patients with recurrent aphthous ulcer (RAU) were randomly divided into two groups, 50 in each group. The patients in test group were treated with Xipayi mouthwash, those in control were given Chlorhexidine mouthwash. All the patients were treated for 7 days. The efficacy of Xipayi mouthwash is superior to Chlorhexidine in the treatment of RAU.
