The aim of this study is to identify the cause of death of a South China tiger cub at the Meihuashan breeding institute of Fujian Province.Pathogenic bacteria were isolated and cultured from liver,spleen,lung and other tissue samples of the dead South China tiger aseptically.The iso-lated bacteria were identified through morphological observation,biochemical characterization,sequence analysis of housekeeping gene gyrB,virulence gene detection,animal pathogenicity test and drug sensitivity test.A pathogenic Aeromonas hydrophila strain,designated FJ/Tiger-201809 was successfully isolated from the trachea of dead South China tiger.The nucleotide sequence ho-mology between the isolate and 11 strains of Aeromonas gyrB ranged from 91.2％to 99.1％,with the highest homology of 99.1％observed with Aeromonas hydrophila(AF208251.1).Genetic evo-lution analysis showed that the isolated strain FJ/Tiger-201809 was in the same evolutionary branch as other reference strains of Aeromonas hydrophila and was closely related.The pathoge-nicity test in mice showed artificial infection of mice with the strain resulted in varying degrees of lesions in several organs of the mice,and the median lethal dose(LD50)was 1 × 107.8 CFU/mL.Virulence gene test results showed that the isolate FJ/Tiger-201809 carried two virulence genes,aer and act.The results of drug sensitivity test showed that FJ/Tiger-201809 was highly sensitive to enrofloxacin and ampicillin among 18 commonly used antibiotics,relatively sensitive to penicil-lin G and doxycycline,and resistant to the other 14 antibiotics.In conclusion,this study isolated and identified a strain of Aeromonas hydrophila from a dead South China tiger with multiple drug resistance and strong pathogenicity,which provided an important reference for the prevention and control of bacterial diseases in South China tiger.

Objective:To investigate status quo of social support and social function in homeless schizophrenics.Methods:A total of 468 schizophrenics who received treatment in Hangzhou Seventh People's Hospital from January 2018 to December 2019 were included in this study. They were divided into homeless group ( n = 310) and non-homeless group ( n = 158) according to whether they had homeless behaviors. The basic information of admitted patients, level of social support and disease severity were surveyed among admitted patients using self-made questionnaire regarding basic information of admitted patients, Social Support Rating Scale, and Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale. Results:The numbers of schizophrenics in the aspects including male gender, rural household registration, non-local residents, no occupation, unmarried status, low level education, and age at 30-50 years in the homeless group were significantly higher than those in the non-homeless group ( χ2 = 3.58, 20.14, 18.69, 46.29, 33.16, 24.38, 29.75, all P < 0.05). The score for each SSRS domain and total score in the homeless group were significantly lower than those in the non-homeless group [(15.35 ± 5.42) points, (4.34 ± 2.78) points, (6.48 ± 1.89) points, (26.23 ± 7.35) points; (18.99 ± 3.78) points, (6.35 ± 3.23) points, (7.82 ± 2.01) points, (32.59 ± 7.02) points, t = 6.34, 10.52, 12.83, 14.68, all P < 0.001]. The score for each BPRS domain and total score in the homeless group were significantly higher than those in the non-homeless group [(19.35 ± 5.85) points, (22.58 ± 2.73) points, (18.74 ± 2.46) points, (18.48 ± 0.25) points, (16.38 ± 3.12) points, (79.43 ± 3.64) points; (12.92 ± 4.23) points, (16.24 ± 3.66) points, (16.97 ± 3.77) points, (10.58 ± 3.34) points, (6.36 ± 4.23) points, (62.72 ± 2.57) points, t = 9.92, 7.02, 6.33, 10.35, 15.74, 28.46, all P < 0.001]. Conclusion:The poor individual condition and low level of social support in patients with schizophrenia are important factors that cause homelessness.

Objective To evaluate the effects of antiretroviral therapy(ART)for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission(PMTCT)of acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS)on the growth and development of 18-month-old children born by human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-positive pregnant women in Lingshan County,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,and provide scientific evidence for improving the ART medication plan for PMTCT.Methods Lingshan County,ranking the first in the HIV-epidemic counties of Guangxi,was selected as the research site.According to the design of retrospective case-control study,we assigned all the subjects into the case group and the control group:(1)The case group included the HIV-positive pregnant women who had received ART for PMTCT and their HIV-negative infants in Lingshan County from 2010 to 2017.The historical cards and PMTCT data of them were collected from the national PMTCT database.(2)The control group included the healthy pregnant women and their healthy babies born in the Lingshan Maternity and Infant Hospital in 2017,and the children's growth and development data were collected.The stunted growth in children was defined as at least one of the three main indicators of body height,body weight,and head circumference below the normal range.Results The number of HIV-positive mothers and their infants in the case group was 391 and 368,respectively,and 87.21%(341/391)and 95.38%(351/368)of mothers and infants respectively received ART medication.The HIV positive rate,mortality rate,and mother-to-child transmission rate of 18-month-old children were 1.36%(5/368),4.35%(16/368),and 2.01%(5/249),respectively.The incidence of stunted growth of 18-month-old children in the case group and the control group was 42.12%(155/368)and 23.06%(101/438),respectively,with significant difference(

Objective: To investigate the effects of compound Haishe capsule combined with rivastigmine capsule on serum thyroid hormone, inflammatory factors and coagulation function in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD). Methods: From January 2016 to January 2018, 74 patients with AD in the Seventh People's Hospital of Hangzhou were randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the digital table, with 37 cases in each group.The control group was treated with rivastigmine capsule, while the observation group was treated with compound Haishe capsule on the basis of the control group.The two groups were treated for 6 months.The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared.The changes of BEHAVE-AD and ADAS-Cog scores, thyroid hormones, inflammatory factors and coagulation function were compared before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.59%(35/37), which was higher than 72.97%(27/37) of the control group(u=6.366, P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of BEHAVE-AD and ADAS-Cog in the observation group were (4.87±0.64)points, (14.28±1.82)points, respectively, which were lower than those in the control group[(8.91±1.07)points, (18.93±1.25)points](t=19.710, 12.811, all P<0.05). After treatment, the level of FT4 in the observation group was (13.09±0.71)pmol/L, which was higher than (12.30±0.52)pmol/L in the control group (t=5.460, P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of CRP and IL-6 in the observation group were (2.13±0.38)mg/L, (31.32±5.64)ng/L, respectively, which were lower than those in the control group[(3.47±0.61)mg/L, (58.93±12.15)ng/L](t=11.342, 12.538, all P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of D-dimer and Fib in the observation group were (519.82±10.29)μg/L, (3.21±0.32)ng/L, respectively, which were lower than those in the control group[(552.31±8.31)μg/L, (4.12±0.49)ng/L](t=14.942, 9.458, all P<0.05). Conclusion Compound Haishe capsule combined with rivastigmine capsule is effective in the treatment of AD, and can improve thyroid hormone and coagulation function, and reduce the level of inflammatory factors.
