Objective: To understand current state of physical health levels of first year students in different body mass index (BMI) categories in Ningxia universities, and to explore the correlation between BMI and physical fitness index (PFI), so as to provide a reference for enhancing physical health levels of university students. Methods: In November 2024, physical fitness test data from 16 631 first year students across four universities in Yinchuan City, Ningxia from 2019 to 2023 were collected by adopting convenience and stratified cluster random sampling methods. The PFI was calculated using the Z score of the physical fitness test results, and a nonlinear quadratic model was established via least squares regression to examine the relationship between BMI and PFI among university students. Results: The BMI for males was (21.69±3.53)kg/m 2, while for females was (20.78±2.94)kg/m 2. The composite score for males physical fitness (69.86±9.25) was lower than that for females (72.24± 8.15 ), with a statistically significant difference ( t =-17.54, P <0.01). Moreover, the failure rates of various physical fitness indicators (vital capacity, sit and reach, standing long jump, pull ups/1 minute sit ups, 1 000 m/800 m run) were higher among males than females ( χ 2=103.48, 72.45, 14.38, 5 134.85, 188.89, all P <0.01). Comparisons across BMI categories revealed that among males, the normal weight group outperformed other groups in the 50 m sprint, standing long jump, 1 000 m sprint, composite score, and PFI ( F =89.17, 113.90, 179.02, 573.35, 593.08); among female students, the normal weight group outperformed other groups in the 50 m sprint, sit and reach, 800 m run, composite score, and PFI ( F =10.67, 19.58 , 96.45, 294.05, 183.45) (all P <0.01). The relationship between BMI and PFI among first year students exhibited a parabolic change trend, students with a moderate BMI demonstrated higher PFI, and as BMI increased, PFI decreased (all P <0.01). Conclusions The physical health level of male students in Ningxia universities is lower than that of female students. There is a correlation between BMI classification and PFI. Tailored intervention measures should be implemented according to the physical characteristics of students across different genders and BMI classifications to enhance university students physical health.

Digital technologies have become an integral part of complete denture restoration. With advancement in computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), tools such as intraoral scanning, facial scanning, 3D printing, and numerical control machining are reshaping the workflow of complete denture restoration. Unlike conventional methods that rely heavily on clinical experience and manual techniques, digital technologies offer greater precision, predictability, and efficacy. They also streamline the process by reducing the number of patient visits and improving overall comfort. Despite these improvements, the clinical application of digital complete denture restoration still faces challenges that require further standardization. The major issues include appropriate case selection, establishing consistent digital workflows, and evaluating long-term outcomes. To address these challenges and provide clinical guidance for practitioners, this expert consensus outlines the principles, advantages, and limitations of digital complete denture technology. The aim of this review was to offer practical recommendations on indications, clinical procedures and precautions, evaluation metrics, and outcome assessment to support digital restoration of complete denture in clinical practice.

Objective:To explore the impact of rehabilitation exercise intervention mode based on cardiac function classification on clinical effect and quality of life(QOL)in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods:A total of 160 CHF patients who visited our hospital from Dec 2021 to Jan 2023 were selected,and 154 cases were fi-nally enrolled.According to the random number table method,patients were divided into study group and control group with 77 cases in each group.Control group received routine nursing program,while the study group received rehabilitation exercise intervention based on cardiac function classification on the basis of control group,both groups were intervened for three months.Clinical total effective rate,and cardiopulmonary function,serum oxidative stress indicators and MLHFQ score before and after intervention were compared between two groups.Results:Total effective rates of study subgroups of class Ⅱ and Ⅲ were significantly higher than those of control group(class Ⅱ:100.00％vs.83.78％;class Ⅲ:97.37％vs.80.00％)(P＜0.05 both).Compared with control subgroup of classⅢ after intervention,there were significant rise in peak VO2[(16.98±2.03)ml·min-1·kg-1 vs.(18.61±2.41)ml·min-1·kg-1],LVEF[(41.73±4.53)％vs.(48.03±5.22)％]and 6MWD[(351.34±61.00)m vs.(391.53±64.42)m](P＜0.01 all);and significant reductions in LVEDd[(57.55±3.91)mm vs.(53.18±3.07)mm],LVESd[(35.90±2.91)mm vs.(30.50±2.67)mm],levels of LPO[(6.00±0.99)mg/L vs.(3.95±0.61)mg/L],MPO[(3.83±0.58)mg/L vs.(2.03±0.28)mg/L],and MLHFQ total score[(57.05±4.57)points vs.(45.29±3.94)points]in study subgroup of class Ⅲ(P=0.001 all).Compared with control subgroup of class Ⅱ after intervention,there were significant rise in peak VO2,LVEF and 6MWD,and significant reductions in LVEDd,LVESd,levels of LPO,MPO and MLHFQ score in study subgroup of class Ⅱ,P＜0.05 or＜0.01.There was no significant difference in the incidence rate of adverse events during follow-up between two groups(3.90％vs.6.49％,P=0.717).Conclusion:Rehabilitation exercise intervention based on cardiac function classifi-cation can significantly improve cardiopulmonary function,inhibit oxidative stress response in vivo and improve quality of life in CHF patients,which is worthy of promotion and application in clinical practice.

Limosilactobacillus reuteri is a microbe intricately linked to humans and animal health.A thor-ough assessment of its safety and potential benefits is imperative prior to its application in human and ani-mals.In this investigation,we performed a comprehensive analysis encompassing genome sequencing,genomic analysis,and phenotypic characterization of L.reuteri Q35,an exceptionally proficient producer of reuterin.The whole genome sequencing results showed that the complete genome sequence spans 2145158 bp with a GC content of 38.9％ and encompasses 2121 genes.Initial identification of antibiotic-re-sistant genes,virulence factors,and toxin-coding genes in the genome substantiated the strain' s low-risk status.Subsequent tests for antibiotic resistance,acute oral toxicology,and hemolysis further confirmed its elevated safety level.The genome of L.reuteri Q35 was found to contain genes associated with adhe-sion and stress tolerance.Following exposure to artificial gastric juice and bile salt,the strain exhibited a higher survival rate and demonstrated a strong scavenging ability for hydroxyl free radicals in antioxidant capacity tests.These findings suggested that L.reuteri Q35 possesses unique probiotic properties.Addi-tionally,the genome of strain Q35 harbors three truncated oxaloyl-CoA decarboxylase genes (oxc1,oxc2 and oxc3),overexpression of which resulted in a significant increase in ammonium oxalate degradation from 29.5％ to 48.8％.These findings highlight that L.reuteri Q35 exhibits both favorable safety charac-teristics alongside beneficial properties,making it a promising candidate for treating metabolic disorders such as hyperoxaluria.

Aim To explore the effect of targeted inhi-bition of co-signaling molecule B7-H3 on the growth,migration,and angiogenesis ability of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).Methods Small interference RNA was used to knock down HUVECs B7-H3 molecules.CCK-8 test was used to detect cell proliferation at 24 h,48 h and 72 h.Transwell test was then used to detect 24 h cell migration,and three-dimensional cell culture was used to observe cell angio-genesis.Results Compared with the negative control group(siRNA-Control),siRNA-720,siRNA-1707 and siRNA-1690 had different inhibitory effects on the expression of B7-H3.B7-H3 inhibition of siRNA-1690 was significantly higher than that of siRNA-720 and siRNA-1707,and siRNA-1690 sequence was chosen for follow-up experiment.The results of CCK-8 cell vi-ability assay showed that the proliferation ability of HU-VECs decreased by 24％,22％(P＞0.05,compared with 24 h)and 15％(P＜0.05,compared with 48 h)respectively at 24 h,48 h and 72 h after B7-H3 knockout.The migration ability of B7-H3 for 24 h was significantly lower than that of siRNA-Control group(P＜0.01).The results of three-dimensional cell cul-ture showed that the angiogenic ability of HUVECs de-creased significantly after si-B7-H3 knockdown of B7-H3 gene(P＜0.01).Conclusion Targeting B7-H3 inhibits the growth,migration,and angiogenesis of hu-man umbilical vein endothelial cells.

Aim To observe the role of salvianolic acid B(Sal B)in enhancing the survival of random skin flaps and to preliminarily explore its potential mecha-nisms.Methods The appearance,degree of edema,color and hair condition of the skin flap were evaluated seven days after operation.The vascular network and blood flow of random flaps were measured by laser Doppler flow measurement.HE staining was used to detect the growth of microvessels in random flaps.The expressions of VEGF and CD34 were detected by im-munohistochemistry,the expressions of RIPK1,2 and LC3 Ⅱ were detected by immunofluorescence,and the effects of autophagy related proteins and signaling path-ways were detected by Western blot.Results The ex-perimental results showed that Sal B induced autophagy in the random skin flaps,promoted angiogenesis,and reduced oxidative stress and necrotic apoptosis,signifi-cantly increasing the survival rate of the flaps.Immu-nohistochemistry,immunofluorescence staining,and Western blot confirmed that Sal B induced autophagy in the random skin flaps by activating TFE3 protein.Conclusion Sal B can promote autophagy in cells of random skin flaps and reduce their necrotic apoptosis by activating TFE3 protein.

Objective: To investigate the potential risk factors for occult lateral cervical lymph node metastasis (LNM) to levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) and the necessity of super-selective lateral lymph node dissection for patients harboring these metastases. Methods: This prospective study included PTC patients who were operated by the same surgeon in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery of Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences from October 2015 through October 2019. Preoperative ultrasound and enhanced Computer Tomography (CT) did not denote suspected enlarged lymph nodes in the lateral neck. All patients underwent lymph node dissection in levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ on the basis of original thyroid collar incision after LNM to level Ⅵ was confirmed by preoperative fine needlebiopsy or intraoperative frozen pathology. Results: Of all 143 patients, 74 (51.7%) had occult LNM in levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ confirmed by postoperative pathology. The average number of metastasized lymph nodes in levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ was 2.64±1.80, and that in level Ⅵ was 3.77±3.27. There was a significant linear positive correlation between the number of metastasized lymph nodes in level Ⅵ and that in levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ (r=0.341, P<0.001). That the metastasized lymph nodes in level Ⅵ equals three was the best predictor of occult lateral LNM to levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ. Univariate analysis showed that age <55 years, tumor size ≥2.0 cm, number of metastasized lymph nodes in level Ⅵ ≥3, and percentage of metastasized lymph nodes in the total number of dissected lymph nodes in level Ⅵ >50% were associated with occult LNM in levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that number of metastasized lymph nodes in level Ⅵ≥3 was an independent risk factor for occult LNM in levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ (P=0.006). Conclusions: Age, tumor size and LNM in level Ⅵ were associated with occult lateral LNM in PTC patients. Lymph node dissection in levels Ⅲ and Ⅳ could be considered for selective patients, since it will help to avoid secondary operation for residual tumor or recurrence resulted from insufficient treatment without increasing the incidence of complications or affecting patients' appearances.

This study used UPLC-TQ-MS technology to replicate a Henoch-Schonlein purpura(HSP) model in rats by administering warm drugs by gavage and injecting ovalbumin with Freund's complete adjuvant emulsion. The distribution differences and characteristics of eight major components(ferulic acid, caffeic acid, neochlorogenic acid, cryptochlorogenic acid, benzoyl oxypaeoniflorin, tracheloside, loganin, and paeoniflorin) in rat liver, lung, heart, spleen, and kidney tissues were determined after oral administration of the Liangxue Tuizi Mixture at a dose of 42 g·kg~(-1) in both normal physiological and HSP states at 0.5, 1, 2, 6, and 12 hours. The results showed that the distribution patterns of the eight components of Liangxue Tuizi Mixture in the tissues of normal and HSP model rats were different. The main component, paeoniflorin, in Moutan Cortex and Paeoniae Radix Alba had higher content in all tissues. The eight components were predominantly distributed in the liver, lung, and kidney tissues, followed by spleen and heart tissues.

OBJECTIVE: The study aimed to estimate the benchmark dose (BMD) of coke oven emissions (COEs) exposure based on mitochondrial damage with the mitochondrial DNA copy number (mtDNAcn) as a biomarker. METHODS: A total of 782 subjects were recruited, including 238 controls and 544 exposed workers. The mtDNAcn of peripheral leukocytes was detected through the real-time fluorescence-based quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Three BMD approaches were used to calculate the BMD of COEs exposure based on the mitochondrial damage and its 95% confidence lower limit (BMDL). RESULTS: The mtDNAcn of the exposure group was lower than that of the control group (0.60 ± 0.29 vs. 1.03 ± 0.31; P < 0.001). A dose-response relationship was shown between the mtDNAcn damage and COEs. Using the Benchmark Dose Software, the occupational exposure limits (OELs) for COEs exposure in males was 0.00190 mg/m ³. The OELs for COEs exposure using the BBMD were 0.00170 mg/m ³ for the total population, 0.00158 mg/m ³ for males, and 0.00174 mg/m ³ for females. In possible risk obtained from animal studies (PROAST), the OELs of the total population, males, and females were 0.00184, 0.00178, and 0.00192 mg/m ³, respectively. CONCLUSION Based on our conservative estimate, the BMDL of mitochondrial damage caused by COEs is 0.002 mg/m ³. This value will provide a benchmark for determining possible OELs.
