Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a well-accepted therapy for atopic dermatitis (AD). However, there are currently no evidence-based guidelines integrating TCM and Western medicine for the treatment of AD, limiting the clinical application of such combined approaches. Therefore, the China Association of Chinese Medicine initiated the development of the current guideline, focusing on key issues related to the use of TCM in the treatment of AD. This guideline was developed in accordance with the principles of the guideline formulation manual published by the World Health Organization. A comprehensive review of the literature on the combined use of TCM and Western medicine to treat AD was conducted. The findings were extensively discussed by experts in dermatology and pharmacy with expertise in both TCM and Western medicine. This guideline comprises 23 recommendations across seven major areas, including TCM syndrome differentiation and classification of AD, principles and application scenarios of TCM combined with Western medicine for treating AD, outcome indicators for evaluating clinical efficacy of AD treatment, integration of TCM pattern classification and Western medicine across disease stages, daily management of AD, the use of internal TCM therapies and proprietary Chinese medicines, and TCM external treatments. Chinese Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging 2025;45(3):149-153
Objective:To compare the efficacy of 18F-AlF-1, 4, 7-triazacyclononane-1, 4, 7-triacetic acid (NOTA)-octreotide (OC) PET/CT and MRI in detecting liver metastases (LM) of neuroendocrine neoplasm (NENLM). Methods:18F-AlF-NOTA-OC PET/CT and MRI findings (dynamic contrast enhanced MRI and diffusion weighted imaging) of 44 patients (26 males, 18 females, age (53.8±13.4) years) with neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) confirmed by pathological or clinical follow-up in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July 2021 to December 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. According to the size of LM, patients were divided into 3 groups with long diameter ≤1 cm, 1 cm< long diameter ≤2 cm and long diameter >2 cm. According to the 2019 WHO pathological grade, patients were divided into G1, G2, G3 and neuroendocrine carcinoma groups. McNemar χ2 test was used to compare the difference in detecting LM and lesions between the two methods. Results:The detection rate of 18F-AlF-NOTA-OC PET/CT and MRI in patients with NENLM was 95.45%(42/44). Among 44 patients, 227 lesions were detected by PET/CT and 303 were detected by MRI. Based on lesion analysis ( n=307), the detection rate of 18F-AlF-NOTA-OC PET/CT for NENLM was lower than that of MRI (73.94%(227/307) vs 98.70%(303/307); χ2=66.96, P<0.001). For NENLM with long diameter ≤1 cm, 1 cm < long diameter ≤2 cm, long diameter >2 cm, the detection rates of MRI were higher than those of 18F-AlF-NOTA-OC PET/CT (98.72%(77/78), 93.55%(116/124), 97.35%(110/113) vs 47.44%(37/78), 73.39%(91/124), 87.61%(99/113); χ2 values: 5.88-36.21, all P<0.05). Conclusions:Compared with 18F-AlF-NOTA-OC PET/CT, MRI has a higher detection rate for NENLM with different long diameters of NEN, especially for lesions with long diameter≤1 cm.

Chinese Journal of Health Policy 2025;18(2):53-59
Objective:This study aims to explore the job preferences of county-level Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC)personnel and to provide a basis for the development of effective incentive mechanisms. Methods:This study used a combination of stratified sampling and latent class sampling to investigate 1 809 respondents from 56 county-level CDCs in Shandong Province,Hubei Province, and Guizhou Province.Data were analysed using a mixed logit model and a latent class model, and willingness to pay was calculated. Results:The results of the mixed logit model showed that, all attributes and their levels had a significant influence(P<0.05),with establishment being the most important motivating factor(β=2.249).In the latent class model, respondents were divided into three categories. The main differences between the three classes were the choice of exit options and differences in preferences for job attributes.Conclusion:County-level CDC personnel preferred jobs with higher incomes, very good benefit levels, establishment, low workload, better recognition and respect from the public, more opportunities for career advancement, and abundant training opportunities. It is recommended that the total number of establishment should be rationally controlled and dynamically adjusted to balance the differences between working conditions within and outside the establishment;that a comprehensive approach should be adopted to improve both hygiene and motivation factors;and that different incentives should be adopted for different categories of CDC staff. Those who are willing to make a change should be provided with more opportunities for training and career advancement.

Manganese superoxide dismutase catalyzes the dismutation of two molecules of superoxide radicals to one molecule of oxygen and one molecule of hydrogen peroxide. The oxidation of superoxide anion to oxygen by Mn3+SOD proceeds at a rate close to diffusion. The reduction of superoxide anion to hydrogen peroxide by Mn2+SOD can be progressed parallelly in either a fast or a slow cycle pathway. In the slow cycle pathway, Mn2+SOD forms a product inhibitory complex with superoxide anion, which is protonated and then slowly releases hydrogen peroxide out. In the fast cycle pathway, superoxide anion is directly converted into product hydrogen peroxide by Mn2+SOD, which facilitates the revival and turnover of the enzyme. We proposed for the first time that temperature is a key factor that regulates MnSOD into the slow- or fast-cycle catalytic pathway. Normally, the Mn2+ rest in the pent-coordinated state with four amino acid residues (His26, His74, His163 and Asp159) and one water (WAT1) in the active center of MnSOD. The sixth coordinate position on Mn (orange arrow) is open for water (WAT2, green) or O2• to coordinate. With the cold contraction in the active site as temperature decreases, WAT2 is closer to Mn, which may spatially interfere with the entrance of O2• into the inner sphere, and avoid O2•/Mn2+ coordination to reduce product inhibition. Low temperature compels the reaction into the faster outer sphere pathway, resulting in a higher gating ratio for the fast-cycle pathway. As the temperature increases in the physiological temperature range, the slow cycle becomes the mainstream of the whole catalytic reaction, so the increasing temperature in the physiological range inhibits the activity of the enzyme. The biphasic enzymatic kinetic properties of manganese superoxide dismutase can be rationalized by a temperature-dependent coordination model of the conserved active center of the enzyme. When the temperature decreases, a water molecule (or OH-) is close to or even coordinates Mn, which can interfere with the formation of product inhibition. So, the enzymatic reaction occurs mainly in the fast cycle pathway at a lower temperature. Finally, we describe the several chemical modifications of the enzyme, indicating that manganese superoxide dismutase can be rapidly regulated in many patterns (allosteric regulation and chemical modification). These regulatory modulations can rapidly and directly change the activation of the enzyme, and then regulate the balance and fluxes of superoxide anion and hydrogen peroxide in cells. We try to provide a new theory to reveal the physiological role of manganese superoxide dismutase and reactive oxygen species.
