Objective To investigate the current distribution of radiotherapy resources in Gansu Province, evaluate the equity of resource allocation, and provide a scientific basis for optimizing regional resource allocation. Methods A questionnaire survey was carried out to assess radiotherapy resources in medical institutions across Gansu Province, China. The equity of radiotherapy resource distribution and associated disparities were assessed using the Gini coefficient, Lorenz curve, and Theil index. Results A total of 23 medical institutions in Gansu Province provided radiotherapy services, comprising 39 radiotherapy devices and 438 professionals, of whom medical physicists accounted for 16.9%. The radiotherapy frequency was 0.47 cases per thousand population. The Gini coefficients for radiotherapy resource distribution ranged from 0.38 to 0.56 by population and from 0.52 to 0.70 by geography. The Theil index for radiotherapy resources ranged from 1.36 to 3.67. Conclusion Radiotherapy resources in Gansu Province were insufficient, and the capacity of radiotherapy service was suboptimal. The equity of radiotherapy resource allocation by geography was worse than that by population. Therefore, it is imperative to address the shortage of radiotherapy resources, strengthen the professional workforce, enhance the capacity radiotherapy service and resource utilization, optimize resource allocation, and promote regional equity in radiotherapy provision in Gansu Province.

Purpose To investigate the clinicopathological features,immunophenotypes,molecular characteristics,treat-ment and prognosis of nodal follicular helper T cell lymphoma,angioimmunoblastic type(nTFHL-AI)with B cell clonal hyper-plasia.Methods The clinicopathological data of 10 nTFHL-AI patients with B cell clonal hyperplasia were collected from medi-cal records,with HE and immunohistochemical staining and gene rearrangement analysis.Related literature was also re-viewed.Results The included 10 patients were 5 males and 5 females with a median age of 73 years.The clinical manifesta-tions were mainly systemic lymphadenopathy,splenomegaly and B symptoms.8 patients were categorized as stage Ⅳ and 2 pa-tients were staged as Ⅰ+Ⅱ according to Ann Arbor staging cri-teria.Major laboratory results were increased β2 microglobulin,lactate dehydrogenase and decreased hemoglobin,erythrocytes and thrombocytes.Plasma Epstein-Barr virus(EBV)nucleic acid quantification was positive in 8 cases.Microscopically,the morphological patterns were nodular aggregation or scattered clear cells,branched high endothelial vessels and disorderly"wind-blown"like follicular dendritic cells(FDC).The num-ber of infiltrated eosinophils was 0-5/HPF in 7 cases,5-10/HPF in 2 cases,and＞50/HPF in 1 case.Plasma cell count was≤5％in 6 cases,10％in 1 case,20％in 1 case,and the rest 2 had relative higher count of 30％.The tumor cells of 7 ca-ses coexisted with marked hyperplasia of histiocytes,and in only one case Reed-Sternberg(RS)-like large cells were found 5 ca-ses showed abundant background B cells while the other 5 cases had limited background B cells.All tumor cells expressed T cell markers,6 were positive for CD10,BCL6,CXCL13 and PD-1 simultaneously and all of 10 were positive for BCL6,CXCL13 and PD-1.8 cases were positive for EBV-encoded small RNA(EBER)by in situ hybridization.Clonal TCR gene rearrange-ments and IG gene rearrangement were detected in all 10 pa-tients.After diagnosis,all patients were treated with chemother-apy,and three of them died due to disease progression.Conclu-sion B cell clonal hyperplasia,the status of EBV infection and the number of EBV-positive cells may be related with disease progression,individualized treatment and prognosis of patients with nTFHL-AI.

Objective:To establish the normal reference value of lumbar bone mineral density (BMD) under quantitative CT (QCT) in Chinese healthy adult females and to explore the regional differences.Methods:Total of 35 431 healthy women who met the inclusion criteria of Chinese health quantitative CT big data program were selected in this study. The BMD of the central plane of L 1 and L 2 vertebrae was measured by Mindways′s QCT system, and the mean value was taken. One-way analysis of variance was used to compare the BMD differences of lumbar vertebrae in women of different ages and regions. The subjects were grouped by an age interval of 10 years, and the level of BMD in different regions of the same age group were compaired. Results:The peak BMD of Chinese healthy adult women appeared in the age group of 20-29 years (Northeast China(183.01±24.58) mg/cm 3, North China (188.93±24.80) mg/cm 3, East China (187.54±27.71) mg/cm 3, South China (186.22±33.72) mg/cm 3, Central China (176.33±24.91) mg/cm 3, Southwest China(182.25±28.00) mg/cm 3), and then it decreased with age. The level of BMD in different regions decreased with the age. Before the age of 70 years, BMD in Central and Southwest China was always at a low level((176.23±24.91) to (90.38±28.12) mg/cm 3, 182.25±28.00 to (88.55±25.68) mg/cm 3), lower than those in Northeast China ((183.01±24.58) to (99.69±27.85) mg/cm 3), North China ((188.93±24.80) to (95.89±26.12) mg/cm 3), East China ((187.54±27.71) to (95.65±27.86) mg/cm 3). After 70 years of age, BMD tended to be the same in different regions ( P>0.05). The BMD values in Central China and Southwest China were similar in the age group of 40-60 years ( P>0.05). The BMD values in the health adult femles in the age group of 60 years in different regions of Chinawere all lower than those of bone mass abnormality (all P<0.05). The detection rate of osteoporosis in females over 50 years was the highest in Southwest China (25.65%) and it was the lowest in North China (17.30%). Conclusions:This study establishes reference values of BMD under QCT in healthy Chinese women, which can be used as a reference basis for identifying women with low BMD who are at risk of osteoporosis. The BMD value is the lowest in Southwest China and the highest in South China.

Objective:To explore the correlation between serum soluble T cell immunoglobulin-mucin molecule-3 (sTim-3), galactose lectin-9 (Galectin-9) and inflammatory factors interferon-γ (IFN-γ), interleukin-4 (IL-4) in patients with brucellosis.Methods:Ninety patients with brucellosis admitted to Yantai Yeda Hospital from January 2016 to December 2018 were selected as the observation group, of whom 49 cases in acute stage and 41 cases in chronic stage. Another 50 healthy subjects who underwent health examination during the same period were selected as the control group. Five milliliter of fasting venous blood samples were collected from patients with brucellosis and healthy subjects, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect sTim-3 and Galectin-9 levels, and cytometric bead array (CBA) to detect IFN-γ and IL-4 levels; Pearson correlation test was used to correlate serum levels of sTim-3, Galectin-9, sTim-3/Galectin-9 and inflammatory factors IFN-γ, IL-4 in patients with brucellosis.Results:The levels of sTim-3 [(18.28 ± 5.38), (7.01 ± 1.97) ng/L], Galectin-9 [(2.79 ± 0.94), (1.67 ± 0.23) ng/L], sTim-3/Galectin-9 (6.55 ± 2.96, 4.20 ± 0.67), IFN-γ [(5.99 ± 1.94), (10.09 ± 2.03) ng/L], IL-4 [(7.34 ± 3.13), (3.71 ± 1.76) ng/L] were significantly different between the observation group and control group ( t = 14.271, 8.276, 5.527, 11.785, 7.556, P < 0.05). In the observation group, the levels of sTim-3 [(22.09 ± 3.13), (14.21 ± 3.42) ng/L], Galectin-9 [(2.98 ± 0.67), (2.41 ± 0.74) ng/L], sTim-3/Galectin-9 (7.41 ± 1.07, 5.90 ± 1.72), IFN-γ [(3.78 ± 1.65), (7.02 ± 1.73) ng/L], and IL-4 [(9.17 ± 2.04), (5.67 ± 1.54) ng/L] were statistically significant difference between patients with acute and chronic brucellosis ( t = 11.402, 3.833, 5.084, 9.075, 9.037, P < 0.05). Pearson correlation test showed that the levels of sTim-3, Galectin-9, and sTim-3/Galectin-9 in patients with brucellosis were negatively correlated with IFN-γ level ( r = - 0.568, - 0.531, - 0.519, P < 0.05), and positively correlated with IL-4 level ( r = 0.517, 0.524, 0.536, P < 0.05). Conclusion:The expressions of sTim-3 and Galectin-9 in serum of brucellosis patients are high, and they are significantly correlated with IFN-γ and IL-4 levels, suggesting that sTim-3 and Galectin-9 maybe related to the occurrence and development of brucellosis.

Objective: To explore the distribution and intensity of kitchen waste treatment plant, providing scientific basis for occupational diseases prevention and treatment in that industry. Methods: 30 operating personnel in a kitchen waste disposal enterprise were selected as the research group and 16 non-operating personnel as the control group. The epidemiological survey was carried out in June 2015 and July 2016, and the results of occupational hazards and occupational health monitoring during 2015 to 2017 were analyzed. Results: The results of various occupational hazards factors during 2015 to 2017 were all in accordance with the occupational health limit, but the results of occupational health examination were abnormal. The occupational correlation could not be ruled out by the abnormality of electrical audiometry, electrocardiogram and Department of Dermatology examination. Conclusion Workers in kitchen waste treatment plant are likely to suffer low-intensity, continuous health damage. There is occupational health risk in that industry. The accumulation of basic information and the improvement of relevant standards and methods are needed for further study.

Objective To isolate and cultivate hepatic stem cells(HSCs) from rat fetal liver in vitro and identify their biological features.Methods Collagenase perfusion method and mechanical cutting method were used to isolate HSCs from rat fetal liver which were then cultivated by H-DMEM containing 10% fetal bovine serum.The cell surface antigen expression of HSCs was observed with immunocytochemical method under confocal laser scanning microscope.Results The isolated HSCs from rat fetal liver grew to monolayer 5 d after cultivation in vitro.They presented pykno-round cells and distinct borderline under the light microscope.After 8 d the cells grew like epithelium.These cells expressed AFP antigen,CK 18 and CK19.Conclusion The cultivated cells are proved to be HSCs and can proliferate quickly in vitro.
