1.Influence of bedside case-based teaching combined with PBL teaching method on the discharge assess-ment of gastroenterology nursing students

Objective To analyze the influence of bedside case-based teaching combined with Problem-Based Learning(PBL)on the the discharge Assessment of gastroenterology nursing students.Methods A total of 40 newly admitted nursing students from the Gastroenterology Department at Panyu Central Hospital from June 2021 to February 2023 were enrolled in this study.They were randomly divided into study group and control group,each comprising 20 students.The study group was treated with bedside case teaching combined with PBL teaching method,while the control group receiving the instruction with traditional teaching method.The two groups were compared in terms of examination results,clinical nursing ability,and nursing teaching satisfaction.Results The study group exhibited significantly superior theoretical and practical performance compared to the con-trol group.Moreover,the study group scored significantly higher on professional quality,communication skills,judgment and de-cision-making abilities,and responsiveness compared to the control group.Additionally,the study group demonstrated significant-ly higher level of satisfaction with the nursing education received(P<0.05).Conclusion Bedside case teaching combined with PBL can significantly enhance the skills of nursing students specializing in gastroenterology.
2.Application of holistic nursing conception in teaching ward-round

Objective To explore the application effect of holistic nursing conception in teaching ward-round.Methods From May 2015 to April 2016, totally 112 internship nurses of undergraduate and junior college of Xiaolan Affiliated Hospital of Southern Medical University were included in this study. The students were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 56 people in each group. In the observation group, nursing students were regarded as the main body, holistic nursing concept was applied in nursing teaching ward-rounds. While in the control group, teachers were regarded as the main body in teaching ward-rounds. Teaching effects were compared between two groups.Results The following indexes were observed. Nursing assessment and nursing experience, evaluation of interns ability gaven by teachers (including holistic care ability, ability to analyze and solve questions, ability of literature review, critical thinking skills, integrity and fluency when reporting the patient history, ability to find the key problems), interns' self ability evaluation (including improving clinical communication ability, improving the ability of analyzing and resolving problems, improving the critical thinking skills, improving the ability of the literature review, holistic care ability, stimulate interest in learning, promoting the attraction of teaching rounds, degree of internship harvest).The results showed that the observation group were better than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions Application of holistic nursing concept in teaching ward-round can stimulate the learning enthusiasm of nursing interns, and improve holistic care ability and clinical ability of analyzing and resolving problems.
3.The effect of health education pathway varicose veins patients in lower limb treated by foam sclerotherapy

Objective To investigate the application effect of health education pathway in varicose veins patients in lower limb treated by foam sclerotherapy.Methods A total of 150 pa-tients treated by foam sclerotherapy conforming to the criteria for the lower limb varicose veins were divided into control group and observation group,the control group was carried out routine health education while the observation group applied health education pathway for health educa-tion.The mastery of health education knowledge,treatment adherence and nursing job satisfaction were evaluated.Results The mastery of the knowledge and treatment compliance rate were sig-nificantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05).The satisfaction of nursing in the ob-servation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P <0.05).Conclusion Health education pathway can improve the patients compliance,increase patients satisfaction of nursing work,and promote the rehabilitation of lower extremity varicose veins foam.
