Objective: To investigate the trend of gastric cancer disease burden in Wenzhou City, Zhijiang Province from 2014 to 2023, so as to providing evidence for prevention and control strategies. Methods: Data on incidence and mortality of gastric cancer among household registered residents in Wenzhou City from 2014 to 2023 were collected through the Wenzhou Chronic Disease Monitoring and Management Information System, and the crude incidence and crude mortality were calculated. The disease burden of gastric cancer was evaluated by calculating years of life lost (YLL), years lived with disability (YLD), and disability-adjusted life years (DALY) using the World Health Organization's disease burden methodology. Trends in YLL rate, YLD rate and DALY rate of gastric cancer from 2014 to 2023 were analyzed using the average annual percent change (AAPC). Results: A total of 28 122 cases of gastric cancer and 17 080 deaths were reported in Wenzhou City from 2014 to 2023. The crude incidence and crude mortality were 34.13/105 and 20.73/105, respectively. The YYL, YLD and DALY caused by gastric cancer were 181 816.78, 53 198.41, and 235 015.198 person-years, and the YLL rate, YLD rate and DALY rate were 2.21, 0.64 and 2.85 person-years per 1 000 people, respectively. The YLL rate and DALY rate showed a downward trend (AAPC=-4.608% and -2.552%,both P<0.05), while the YLD rate showed an upward trend (AAPC=4.657%, P<0.05). The DALY rate of gastric cancer in men was 3.82 person-years per 1 000 people, and that in women was 1.83 person-years per 1 000 people, with a downward trend (AAPC=-2.924% and -1.647%, both P<0.05). The DALY rate of gastric cancer was relatively low in the 15 to <45 years age group, increased starting from the age of 45 years, and peaked in the ≥70 years age group, reaching 14.09 person-years per 1 000 peoples. The DALY rate of gastric cancer among residents aged 15 to <45 years, 45 to <70 years and ≥70 years showed a downward trend (AAPC=-3.626%, -5.450% and -4.404%, all P<0.05). Conclusions From 2014 to 2023, the DALY rate of gastric cancer in Wenzhou City demonstrated a sustained decline, primarily driven by a the loss of life years due to premature death. Males and older people continue had a heavier disease burden. It is recommended to implement targeted prevention and control measures to reduce the disease burden of gastric canceron among residents.

Objective:To investigate the intervention effect of dance therapy on the psychological symptoms and psychological craving in methamphetamine-dependent women.Methods:A total of 60 methamphetamine de-pendents in a women's drug rehabilitation center were divided into intervention group and control group(1 person dropped out).The intervention group was trained for 8 dance movements,during which the control group did not in-tervene.The Zhang Tuoji and Chen Huichang's Temperament Scale,Symptom Self-Rating Scale(SCL-90)and Amphetamine Craving Scale(DSQ)were used to evaluate the temperament type,psychological symptoms and psy-chological craving.Results:The differences of SCL-90 depression and anxiety scores(post-intervention score-base-line score)and DSQ total scores were higher in the intervention group than in the control group(Ps＜0.05).The choleric temperament scores were negatively correlated with the differences of DSQ total scores(r=-0.45,P＜0.05),and the melancholic temperament scores were positively correlated with the differences of SCL-90 hostility dimension scores(r=0.41,P＜0.05).Conclusion:Dance therapy could improve the psychological symptoms and psychological craving of women dependent on methamphetamine,with varying effects across different temperament types.

Objective: To investigate the epidemiological characteristics of rabies-exposed populations in Anji County, Zhejiang Province from 2017 to 2021, so as to provide insights into rabies control in the county. Methods: All data pertaining to rabies were captured from Monthly Report of Rabies-exposed Populations in Huzhou City and Investigation Form of Multiple Dog Injuries reported by dog injury clinics in Anji County from 2017 to 2021, and the species of animals causing dog injuries, duration, degree and site of exposure, and post-exposure treatment of rabies-exposed populations were descriptively analyzed. Results: Totally 46 186 cases with rabies exposure were reported in dog injury clinics in Anji County from 2017 to 2021, and the rate of exposure appeared a tendency towards a decline year by year (Z=-23.249, P<0.001), with an annual mean exposure rate of 1 739.59/105. The number of cases with exposure to rabies peaked in July and August (10 066 cases, 21.79%). Dogs were predominant animals causing injuries (31 732 cases, 68.70%), and the rate of exposure to dog bites appeared a tendency towards a decline year by year (Z=-35.541, P<0.001). There were 11 350 cases with cat-causing injuries (24.57%), and the rate of exposure to cat bites appeared a tendency towards a rise (Z=14.834, P<0.001). Lower extremity was the main site of exposure (22 364 cases, 48.42%), and the proportions of grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ exposure to rabies were 72.85% and 25.23%, the rates of exposure both appeared a tendency towards a decline (Z=-14.522, P<0.001; Z=-21.820, P<0.001). The proportion of using human rabies immune globulin was 25.72% among populations with grade Ⅲ exposure, which appeared a tendency towards a rise (Z=6.636, P<0.001). Conclusions The rate of exposure to rabies appeared a tendency towards a decline in Anji County from 2017 to 2021. Dogs were predominant animals causing injuries, and the rate of cat bites appeared a tendency towards a rise from 2017 to 2021; however, the proportion of using human rabies immune globulin remains to be improved among populations with grade Ⅲ exposure.

Objective:To study the correlation between third lumbar skeletal muscle index(LSMI) and inflammatory factors and other factors in peripheral blood in gastric cancer patients.Methods:From October 2017 to December 2019, patients with gastric cancer admitted to West China Hospital Sichuan University were included. The LSMI of patients was obtained by dividing the area of skeletal muscle at the third lumbar vertebra level by the square of the height based on preoperative abdominal imaging data. The correlation between preoperative LSMI and inflammatory factors and other factors in peripheral blood were analyzed by person correlation analysis.Results:This study included 132 patients with gastric cancer. Among them, 39 were classified as stage Ⅰ, 36 were stage Ⅱ, and 57 were stage Ⅲ, respectively. Pearson correlation analysis suggested that the LSMI of gastric cancer patients was positively correlated with peripheral red blood cell count( P<0.01), hemoglobin( P<0.01), and prealbumin( P<0.01), and negatively correlated with interleukin-6(IL-6, P=0.027) and C-reactive protein(CRP, P= 0.014). Conclusion:Our study suggested that LSMI can be used as a nutritional index in gastric cancer patients and IL-6 and CRP played an important in the occurrence and development of sarcopenia in gastric cancer patients.

Objective:To assess the application value of China consensus on the protocol of early gastric cancer screening in Guangdong province.Methods:A new quantitative scoring system was used in Cantonese residents who underwent early gastric cancer screening from March 2018 to March 2019. According to the scores of initial screening, patients were divided into high-risk, medium-risk and low-risk groups. The detection rates of early gastric cancer, precancerous diseases and precancerous lesions under gastroscopy in each group were compared. Chi-square test was performed for statistical analysis.Results:A total of 545 individuals were selected for gastroscopy, in which 32 cases were classified into high-risk group, 184 into medium-risk group and 329 into low-risk group. The results of gastroscopy examination showed that high-risk group had the highest detection rate of early gastric cancer (12.5%), followed by medium-risk group (1.1%) and low-risk group (0) ( χ2=41.85, P<0.01); the detection rates of precancerous diseases exhibited a similar pattern: high-risk group (60.9%) > medium-risk group (52.4%) > low-risk group (34.3%) ( χ2=18.00, P<0.01). The detection rates of precancerous lesions were 17.9%, 8.8% and 8.8%, respectively, with no significant difference ( χ2=2.58, P=0.28). In terms of the positive rate of endoscopy, high-risk group (71.9%) showed the highest positive rate, followed by medium-risk group (57.1%) and low-risk group (40.1%) ( χ2=21.54, P<0.01). Conclusion:China consensus on the protocol of early gastric cancer screeing is of application value for the screening of early gastric cancer and precancerous lesions in the populations at risk of gastric cancer in Guangdong province.

Objective: To probe into the correlation between chronic liver disease and intestinal barrier function. Methods: 1 491 cases of hospitalized patients were enrolled, of which 741 cases were of chronic liver diseases, including 397 cases of fatty liver diseases, 230 cases of chronic hepatitis, 114 cases of liver cirrhosis, and 750 cases of non-hepatic diseases. All admitted patients’ intestinal barrier function like diamine oxidase (DAO), D-lactate, lipopolysaccharide, and biochemical indicators of liver functions were tested. According to different data, statistical analysis was done using t-test, ANOVA, Dunnett’s test, χ ² test of fourfold table, Pearson’s correlation, and binary logistic regression. Results: The intestinal barrier dysfunction was more likely to occur in the chronic liver disease group than that of non-hepatic disease group [54.15% (379/741) vs. 18.53% (139/750), χ ² = 193.58, P < 0.001]. The correlation analysis between biochemical indicators of liver function and intestinal barrier function in chronic liver disease group showed that alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), and total bilirubin levels were more susceptible to intestinal barrier dysfunction than those with normal indexes (P < 0.05 ). GGT had stimulated DAO (P < 0.05, OR > 1), D-lactate (P < 0.05, OR > 1), lipopolysaccharide (P < 0.05, OR > 1), ALT and AST. Conclusion Chronic liver disease increases with damage to intestinal barrier function.

Objective To compare the ear baric function between 4000m altitude chamber test with inhaling air and 6900m altitude chamber test with inhaling pure oxygen.Methods Eleven healthy male volunteers attended two tests as two groups by self-comparison. As the air group the volunteers inhaled air at 4000m, while as the pure oxygen group they inhaled pure oxygen at 6900m altitude, and the time interval between the two tests was more than two weeks. During the test, the volunteers breathed air or pure oxygen at random for 1h, and then were exposed at a speed of 20m/s to the target altitude for 5min. Hereafter they were sent back to the ground at the same speed. The changes of subjective symptoms, degree of tympanic congestion, acoustic immitance index and pure-tone auditory threshold were recorded before and after the test. The acoustic impedance index and pure-tone threshold were statistically analyzed.ResultsFour volunteers (4 ears) in air group and 7 volunteers (7 ears) in pure oxygen group reported ear pain in altitude chamber exposures, respectively. The pain-triggering altitude was higher in the pure oxygen group. Immediately after tests, there were 3 (3 ears) and 5 volunteers (5 ears) with Ⅲ degree congestion of the tympanic membrane in the two groups respectively. Four volunteers (6 ears) developed gradually aggravated hemorrhages after altitude exposure. And the tympanic membrane congestion difference between groups was statistically significant at 3 and 24h after tests (P<0.01). The type A tympanogram appeared in 11 (15 ears) and 11 (14 ears) volunteers respectively immediately after tests. The increase of static compliance value was significantly greater in pure oxygen group than in air group immediately after tests (P<0.05), the decrease of middle ear pressure was more significant in pure oxygen group than in air group at 3 and 24h after tests (P<0.05). Both the two altitude exposure tests resulted in eustachian tube dysfunction. At 3 and 24h after the tests, the increase of individual frequency pure-tone threshold was significantly higher in pure oxygen group than in air group (P<0.05).Conclusion Breathing pure oxygen and lifting height could increase the screening degree of ear baric function test in hypobaric chamber, and have greater influence on degree of tympanic congestion, acoustic immittance and pure-tone auditory threshold in 24 hours.

Objective To investigate the correlation between chronic hepatic diseases and small intestinal inflammation.Methods Patients who received capsule endoscopy in The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University were divided into groups of liver cirrhosis,non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),chronic hepatitis and non-hepatic disease according to clinic data from August 2011 to August 2015.The severity of small intestinal mucosal inflammation was graded according to Lewis Scoring system and incidence of small intestinal lesions in different groups and Lewis scores were compared.The liver function was also graded with liver noninvasive scoring systems.Then the correlation between liver function damage and small intestinal lesions was investigated.Results A total of 338 cases were enrolled in the study,including 25 cases of liver cirrhosis,47 cases of NAFLD,20 cases of chronic hepaitis and 246 cases of non-hepatic disease.There were 22 (88.0％),36 (76.6％),12 (60.0％) and 78 (31.7％) cases with lesions in small intestine in the four group respectively with significant differences(P＜0.001).Rate of small intestinal villi edema was significantly higher in liver cirrhosis group,NAFLD group,chronic hepatitis group than that in non-hepatic disease group(all P＜0.017).Small intestinal villi edema was found mainly in the upper and one third of middle parts in small intestine (P =0.033).Lewis scores of liver cirrhosis group (190.80±228.42)and NAFLD group(125.38± 191.31) were higher than those of non-hepatic disease group (42.91±97.69,P=0.021,P =0.034).Forns score,FIB-4 score,NAFLD-FS score and Child-Pugh score were positively correlated with Lewis score (correlation coefficient:0.247,0.244,0.223,0.284respectively,all P＜0.001).Conclusion Chronic hepatic diseases such as liver cirrhosis,NAFLD,chronic hepatitis might be risk factors for small intestinal mucosal inflammation,and the severity of chronic hepatic diseases may be positively correlated with that of small intestinal mucosal lesions.

Objective To investigate the changes to eotaxin,tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interferon-γ (IFN-γ) in plasma from patients with chronic urticaria treated with the combination of polysaccharide nucleic acid fraction of bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG-PSN) and cetirizine.Methods Totally,123 patients with chronic urticaria were enrolled into this study,and classified into two groups:the combination therapy group (n =60) treated with intramuscular BCG-PSN 2 ml every other day and oral cetirizine 10 mg once daily,and the monotherapy group (n =63) treated with oral cetirizine 10 mg once daily alone.The treatment lasted 54 days.Clinical efficacy was evaluated.Venous blood samples were collected from the patients before and after the treatment,as well as from 56 healthy controls.Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was performed to quantify the plasma levels of eotaxin,TNF-α and IFN-γ.Results At the end of the treatment,the total response rate was significantly higher in the combination therapy group than in the monotherapy group (88.3％ vs.63.4％,P ＜ 0.05).Before the treatment,no significant differences were observed in the plasma levels of eotaxin,TNF-α or IFN-γ between the two treatment groups,whereas the patients showed higher plasma levels of eotaxin and TNF-α but lower plasma level of IFN-γ compared with the healthy controls (all P ＜ 0.5).Both the combination therapy and monotherapy resulted in a statistical decrease in plasma eotaxin and TNF-α but an increase in plasma IFN-γ (all P ＞ 0.05),and the absolute values of changes in the three parameters were significantly higher in the combination therapy group than in the monotherapy group (eotaxin:(13.27 ± 4.11) μg/L vs.(8.12 ± 2.58) μg/L,t =8.3654,P ＜ 0.05; TNF-α:(12.38 ± 3.95) ng/L vs.(10.32 ± 3.41) ng/L,t =3.1005,P ＜ 0.05; IFN-γ:(17.06 ± 5.24) μg/L vs.(12.54 ± 4.07) μg/L,t =5.3573,P ＜ 0.05).Further more,the differences between the patients and healthy controls in the three parameters disappeared at the end of the treatment (all P ＞ 0.05).Conclusion BCG-PSN combined with cetirizine seems superior to cetirizine alone for the treatment of chronic urticaria.
