As the incidence of autism rises annually, its unknown pathogenesis makes it challenging to treat the varied repetitive and stereotyped behaviors that characterize its core symptoms. The striatum is an important brain region for the control of locomotor behaviors, featuring a unique mosaic structure, complex neural origin, and finely regulated developmental process that is highly susceptible to genetic and environmental influences. Both clinical and basic studies have indicated that abnormal development of the striatal nuclei may contribute to the pathogenesis of these repetitive stereotyped behaviors in autism.Clinical imaging data have primarily identified gross anatomical variations in the stratum(e.g.,its general outline),but lack the resolution necessary to detect the cellular and subcellular alterations within the region.By introducing the abnormalities in the spatiotemporal development of the striatum and their links to the characteristic behaviors of autism, this review aims to advance our understanding of the role of the striatum in autism pathogenesis and to inform future animal studies and clinical research.

Objective:To understand the current situation and influencing factors of functional constipation among elderly people in nursing homes, and construct a risk prediction model. Methods:Conveniently select 542 elderly people from 8 nursing homes in Tangshan urban area from July to November 2023 as the research subjects, use binary logistic regression analysis to construct a risk prediction model, and conduct internal validation of the model. Results:Among the 542 elderly people who were included in the study, there were 250 males and 292 females with an average age of 78.00 (70.00, 86.00) years. The incidence of functional constipation among elderly people in nursing homes was 54.06%(293/542). The predictive model includes six predictive factors: age, Barthel index, water intake, daily vegetable intake, insomnia, and perianal disease. The model AUC was 0.885 (95% CI 0.858-0.913), the Youden index was 0.628, the best critical value was 0.585, sensitivity was 0.819, specificity was 0.809. The Hosmer-Lemeshow test χ2=6.38, P=0.605. The internal validation results of the Bootstrap method showed that the AUC of the model was 0.876, the calibration curve was close to the standard line, and the Brier score was 0.135. The DCA results showed that the threshold was 0.1-0.9, and the model had good clinical net benefits. Conclusions:The incidence of functional constipation in elderly care institutions is relatively high. The functional constipation risk prediction model constructed in this study has good predictive efficacy and applicability, which can provide reference for nursing home staff.

Objective:To construct an evaluation the index system of entrustable professional activities for resident training doctors in psychiatric department, and to provide reference for formulating training strategies and assessment standards.Entrustable professional activities refers to the ability of trainees to perform and complete spe-cific clinical tasks independently after they have been trusted. Methods:Through documental analysis and semi-structured interviews, the item database of entrustable professional activities for psychiatric resident training physi-cians was established.Delphi consultation was conducted among 63 experts in the field of psychiatry from 7 national resident training bases and 3 medical colleges in China.Indicators were comprehensively screened and sorted out,and indicators at all levels and their weights were determined by the analytic hierarchy process. Results:A hierarchi-cal evaluation index system of entrustable professional activities for psychiatric resident training doctors was con-structed,including 4 first-level indicators,17 second-level indicators and 68 third-level indicators. The weights of the first-level,second-level and third-level indicators were determined. Conclusion:The evaluation index system of en-trustable professional activities is comprehensive and systematic, which is suitable for clinical work and convenient for practical application. It could provide quantitative standards for the assessment of psychiatric residents and pro-mote the improvement of training quality.

Malaria still threatens global health seriously today. While the current discoveries of antimalarials are almost totally focused on single mode-of-action inhibitors, multi-targeting inhibitors are highly desired to overcome the increasingly serious drug resistance. Here, we performed a structure-based drug design on mitochondrial respiratory chain of

Objective: Analyze the clinical application rule of Chinese patent medicine in cervical radiculopathy (CR) .Method: The clinical real-world data of CR were extracted by using information sharing system of traditional Chinese medicine and clinical research. Six hundred and twenty-eight inpatients and out patients with CR were enrolled from December 2012 to July 2014 in the information system database of Wangjing Hospital. The correlation analyses and mutual information value were recorded for Chinese patent medicine therapy application of all patients by using liquorice software. Complex network diagrams were generated. Result: Yuxuebi capsule and Jingshu granule is the highest frequency in application of Chinese patent medicine. Jingshu granule and Cobamamide for injection were the highest frequency in combined application of Chinese patent medicine and western medicine. Association frequency was 822, mutual information value was 268.07. Biqi capsule and Daiwenjiu cream were the highest frequency in combined application of Chinese patent medicine and topical drugs. Association frequency was 384, mutual information value was1754.76. Conclusion: The basic treating principle for CR was promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. The efficacy and safety of combined Chinese patent medicine with other medicine need further research

This study was aimed to analyze the application of non-pharmacotherapy in treating cervical radiculopathy (CR) in real-world,and to provide clinical reference for CR non-pharmacotherapy.The clinical real-world data of CR was extracted by using information sharing system of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and clinical research.Six hundred and twenty-eight inpatients and outpatients with CR were enrolled from December 2012 to July 2014 in the information system database of Wangjing Hospital.Basic characteristics of the non-pharmacotherapy groups were analyzed by statistical description method. The node degree and mutual information value were recorded for non-pharmacotherapy application of all patients by using liquorice software.Complex network diagrams were generated. The results showed that 47% of CR patients received non-pharmacotherapy (294/628),including 67 males and 227 females. The average age of patients was 49 years old,and the prevalence of the disease was the highest from 45 to 65 years old.In all patients, the usage of manipulation and cervical traction was higher, and the combination of manipulation and acupuncture was the most.Within outpatients, the proportion of cervical traction was higher, and the combination of manipulation and acupuncture was the most frequently.Within inpatients, the proportion of manipulation and cervical traction was higher, and the combination of comprehensive physical therapy and exercise therapy was the most frequently. It was concluded that non-pharmacotherapy has been commonly used in clinical treatment of CR.Cervical traction and manipulation was the widest applications. The combination treatment was in wide application.Future studies should increase the sample size of CR patients from different regions, and enhance gradually the level of evidence of clinical research for non-pharmacotherapy treating CR.
