OBJECTIVE To analyze the chemical components that were the absorbed in blood and liver tissue of rats after intragastric administration of aqueous extract from Abrus cantoniensis， and to speculate its possible metabolic pathways， providing reference for basic analysis of pharmacological substance in A. cantoniensis. METHODS Male SD rats were randomly divided into A. cantoniensis group （0.63 g/kg， calculated by crude drug） and blank group； they were given relevant drug solution/ultrapure water intragastrically. After a single dose， plasma and liver samples of rats in each group were collected. UPLC-Q-TOF/MS technology was used to identify chemical components that were absorbed in the blood and liver tissue of rats. RESULTS Totally， 30 chemical constituents were identified from the water extracts of A. cantoniensis， including alkaloids， flavonoids， organic acids， iridoids （such as L-abrine， schaftoside， isoshaftoside）. Ten prototype components and nine metabolites （such as decarboxylation and sulfation metabolites of protocatechuic acid， reduced sulfated metabolites of p-hydroxybenzoic acid） were identified from plasma samples； six prototype components and five metabolites （such as sulfated metabolites of p-hydroxybenzoic acid， decarboxylation and sulfation metabolites of p-hydroxybenzoic acid） were identified from liver samples. The main metabolic pathways included hydroxylation， demethylation， methylation， sulfation， glucuronidation， etc. CONCLUSIONS Alkaloids， flavonoids and organic acids are the main components of the aqueous extract from A. cantoniensis that are absorbed into the blood and liver， their metabolism mainly involves hydroxylation，demethylation， and sulfation.

Objective To investigate the neurobehavioral development of young children aged 24 to 60 months in Shunde and explore the factors influencing the development of young children and provide reference for the interven-tion of neurobehavioral development delays in young children.Methods A retrospective cohort study was used to enroll the young children who were initially screened by the Pediatric Neuropsychological Developmental Scale(Pe-diatric Heart Scale)with a score of ≤85 was included in the study.With a score of ≤85,the young children might be at risk of developmental delays,and needed to be further diagnosed by the GESELL Developmental Diagnostic Scale,the basic information of the young children and their mothers at the time of birth were investigated,as well as basic information about the young children at the time of completing the GESELL Developmental Diagnostic Scale was collected.Results A total of 271 young children were included,196 males and 75 females.Young children had the lowest developmental quotient(DQ)in the language domain among the five domains(P＜0.001).Multiple lin-ear regression models showed:compared with girls,the language domain DQ of boys decreased by 5.321 points(P=0.049,95％CI:-10.620--0.021),and the personal-social domain DQ decreased by 4.474 points(P=0.023,95％CI:-8.316--0.631).Compared with young children via natural vaginal delivery(NVD),the gross motor domain DQ of young children via caesarean section(CS)decreased by 4.890 points(P=0.008,95％CI:-8.499--1.281),the fine motor domain DQ decreased by 3.373 points(P=0.037,95％CI:-6.532--0.213),the language domain DQ decreased by 7.621 points(P=0.004,95％CI:-12.826--2.416),per-sonal-social domain DQ decreased by 6.232 points(P=0.001,95％CI:-10.006--2.457).The results of bi-nary logistic regression models showed,compared with young children via NVD,the risk of gross motor domain retar-dation in young children increased(OR=1.763,95％CI:1.003-3.100),the risk of fine motor domain retardation increased(OR=2.217,95％CI:1.235-3.980),the risk of language domain retardation increased(OR=3.306,95％CI:1.080-10.124).Conclusion Young children with suspected neurobehavioral delays were more likely to have delayed development in language domain than in other domains,boys had lower DQ in language domain and personal-social domain than girls,and the development of young children via CS was slower than that via NVD.Fo-cus should be on the language development of young children especially on the language and personal-social devel-opment of boys.Carefully chose delivery way.Focus should be placed on assessment of young children's comprehen-sive neurobehavioral development in early time.

Objective:To investigate the correlation between food-specific IgG (sIgG) antibodies and phenotypes of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) .Methods:Serum samples were collected from outpatients with active CSU, symptomatic dermographism (SD) , or acute urticaria (AU) , and healthy controls from 5 third-grade class-A hospitals such as the First Hospital of China Medical University between April 2014 and March 2015. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was conducted to detect serum levels of 90 food-sIgG antibodies and total IgE, Western blot analysis to detect levels of 20 allergen-specific IgE antibodies, and chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay to detect levels of anti-thyroid peroxidase IgG antibodies and anti-thyroglobulin IgG antibodies. Comparisons of normally distributed quantitative data between two groups and among several groups were performed by t test and one-way analysis of variance, respectively; comparisons of non-normally distributed quantitative data between two groups were performed by Mann-Whitney U test; for comparisons of proportions, chi-square test and Fisher′s exact test were used. Results:A total of 248 patients with CSU, 22 with SD, 15 with AU and 13 healthy controls were recruited. The cut-off level for sIgG positivity was 100 U/ml (at least 2+) , and the positive rate of food-sIgG antibodies was slightly higher in the patients with CSU (176/248, 70.97%) , SD (15/22, 68.18%) and AU (11/15) than in the healthy controls (7/13; χ2 = 1.80, P = 0.615) . Among the 248 CSU patients, the proportion of patients with family history of allergic diseases was significantly higher in the sIgG-positive group (71/176, 40.34%) than in the sIgG-negative group (19/72, 26.39%; χ2 = 4.30, P = 0.042) , while no significant difference was observed in the 1-day urticaria activity score (UASday) between the two groups ( Z = 0.18, P = 0.859) . Totally, 177 CSU patients completed 12- to 40-week treatment; their condition could be completely controlled by second-generation H1-antihistamines, and there was no significant difference in the required dosage of second-generation H1-antihistamines between the sIgG-positive group (128 cases) and sIgG-negative group (49 cases; Z = -1.06, P = 0.298) . Conclusions:The prevalence of family history of allergic diseases was relatively high in food-sIgG-positive patients with CSU. However, food-sIgG could not be used as an indicator to reflect the disease activity of CSU and treatment response.

ObjectiveTo study the effects of different plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria （PGPR） on the growth of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis seedlings and the quality of its medicinal parts， in order to provide reference for the cultivation of high-quality P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. MethodThe pot culture experiment at room temperature and the single-factor completely random design were employed for exploring the effects of five PGPR on physiological characteristics and inorganic elements of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. ResultThe results showed that the exogenous inoculation of different PGPR promoted the growth and development of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis to varying degrees， delayed the senescence of leaves， and improved the medicinal value of new and old rhizomes. Compared with the non-inoculated control， the exogenous inoculation of compound microbial fertilizer （FH） and microbial agent Sanju Guanjin liquid （SJ） enhanced the root vigor， increased the content of photosynthetic pigments and the activities of anti-oxidant enzymes ［superoxide dismutase （SOD）， catalase （CAT）， and peroxidase （POD）］， and reduced the content of malondialdehyde （MDA） in leaves. Their inhibition rates against MDA were 10.46%-39.62% and 20.99%-53.12%， respectively. With the growth of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis， the inhibition rate against MDA gradually increased， which effectively delayed the senescence of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis leaves. In addition， the exogenous inoculation of different PGPR promoted the accumulation of nutrient elements in new and old rhizomes， lowered the heavy metal content to varying degrees， and improved the medicinal value of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis rhizomes. ConclusionFH and SJ have exhibited the best promoting effect on the growth of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis seedlings and also the best regulatory effect on the medicinal value of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis rhizomes， which has provided reference for the application and promotion of PGPR in the growth of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis.

ObjectiveTo verify the efficacy of steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide in regulating the intestinal flora of young dysbiosis-induced diarrhea rats based on 16S rRNA gene sequencing. MethodThe young SD rats were randomly divided into blank group，model group，positive drug group （bifid triple viable capsules），and high-dose and low-dose steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide groups，six in each group. The dysbiosis-induced diarrhea rat model was established，and the blank group and the model group were given normal saline by gavage （each 10 mL·kg^-1），and the high-dose and low-dose steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide groups were administered with corresponding drugs （500 mg·kg^-1 and 250 mg·kg^-1， respectively） ，once a day for seven consecutive days. The loose stool rate，loose stool grade，diarrhea index，small intestine propulsion rate and hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining were used as indexes to investigate the effect of steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide on improving diarrhea symptoms in young rats. The feces of rats were collected for 16S rRNA gene high-throughput sequencing. ResultCompared with the model group， the positive drug group and the high-dose and low-dose steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide groups had alleviated symptoms， down-regulated loose stool rate and diarrhea index （P<0.01） and decreased small intestine advancement rate （P<0.05）. HE staining showed that after the treatment with steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide，the inflammatory cell infiltration of the colon tissue was improved and the intestinal gland recovered to the normal condition，which indicated that steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide could significantly ameliorate the diarrhea in young rats. The sequencing results revealed that steamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide had a moderating effect on the abundance of the intestinal flora of young dysbiosis-induced diarrhea rats，elevating the flora richness and diversity indexes. Specifically， the abundance of Bacteroidota was increased while that of Firmicutes and Proteobacteria was decreased. ConclusionSteamed Allii Sativi Bulbus polysaccharide can be used to treat dysbiosis-induced diarrhea in young rats by regulating the abundance of intestinal microbiota.

On February 2022, WHO released the evidence-based guideline on control and elimination of human schistosomiasis, with aims to guide the elimination of schistosomiasis as a public health problem in disease-endemic countries by 2030 and promote the interruption of schistosomiasis transmission across the world. Based on the One Health concept, six evidence-based recommendations were proposed in this guideline. This article aims to analyze the feasibility of key aspects of this guideline in Chinese national schistosomiasis control program and illustrate the significance to guide the future actions for Chinese national schistosomiasis control program. Currently, the One Health concept has been embodied in the Chinese national schistosomiasis control program. Based on this new WHO guideline, the following recommendations are proposed for the national schistosomiasis control program of China: (1) improving the systematic framework building, facilitating the agreement of the cross-sectoral consensus, and building a high-level leadership group; (2) optimizing the current human and livestock treatments in the national schistosomiasis control program of China; (3) developing highly sensitive and specific diagnostics and the framework for verifying elimination of schistosomiasis; (4) accelerating the progress towards elimination of schistosomiasis and other parasitic diseases through integrating the national control programs for other parasitic diseases.

Preventive chemotherapy is one of the pivotal interventions for the control and elimination of schistosomiasis, which is effective to reduce the morbidity and prevalence of schistosomiasis. In order to promote the United Nations' sustainable development goals and the targets set for schistosomiasis control in the Ending the neglect to attain the Sustainable Development Goals: a road map for neglected tropical diseases 2021-2030, WHO released the guideline on control and elimination of human schistosomiasis in 2022, with major evidence-based updates of the current preventive chemotherapy strategy for schistosomiasis. In China where great success has been achieved in schistosomiasis control, the preventive chemotherapy strategy for schistosomiasis has been updated several times during the past seven decades. This article reviews the evolution of the WHO guidelines on preventive chemotherapy and Chinese national preventive chemotherapy schemes, compares the current Chinese national preventive chemotherapy scheme and the recommendations for preventive chemotherapy proposed in the 2022 WHO guideline on control and elimination of human schistosomiasis, and proposes recommendations for preventive chemotherapy during the future implementation of the 2022 WHO guideline, so as to provide insights into schistosomiasis control among public health professionals engaging in healthcare foreign aid.

Objective:To develop a nomogram model for screening of type 2 diabetes mellitus in a community population.Methods:From October to December, 2020, 6 028 community residents who participated in the " national health physical examination" in Karamay community with complete physical examination data and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were selected. The physical examination data included medical history, physical examination, laboratory, and ultrasound reports. Random segmentation sampling was used to divide the population into modeling and validation cohorts, and LASSO regression analysis was used to screen for independent factors associated with diabetes diagnosis. The independent influencing factors were furthor incorporated into the multi-factor logistic regression, and the RMS software package was used to construct the column chart. The area under receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was used to measure the differentiation of the model. The calibration curve can directly reflect the calibration degree of the model.Results:In the modeling group, multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age, gender(female), history of hypertension, history of hyperlipidemia, HbA 1C, urinary microalbumin, homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance, and triglycerides and glucose index were independently associated with diabetes. OR were 1.053(95% CI 1.038-1.069), 0.681(95% CI 0.512-0.906), 1.802(95% CI 1.227-2.626), 1.789(95% CI 1.303-2.448), 10.973(95% CI 8.318-14.745), 1.002(95% CI 1.001-1.004), 2.914(95% CI 2.248-3.799), and 2.673(95% CI 2.03-3.536), respectively. The areas under ROC curves of the training set and the validation set were 0.945 and 0.955, respectively. The optimal critical value in the ROC curve was 0.178(sensitivity 0.930, specificity 0.839) in the training set and 0.201(sensitivity 0.945, specificity 0.848) in the validation set. Conclusion:The screening model of type 2 diabetes developed in this study has good accuracy, which can be used as a screening tool for high-risk population of type 2 diabetes.

Objective:To explore the effect of natural decay of exogenously added fibrous roots on the growth and development of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis and its medicinal quality. Method:The effects of natural decay of fibrous roots at different amounts on mycorrhizal infection rate， physiological and biochemical indexes， and saponin contents of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis were studied in pot culture experiments at room temperature. Result:The results showed that the infection rate of arbuscular mycorrhizal （AM） fungi in the root of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis was not significantly affected by different fibrous root treatments， but there were significant differences in infection intensity. The photosynthetic pigment content in the leaves declined significantly with the increase in fibrous root amount， and the total chlorophyll was decreased by 78.7% at most. The contents of soluble protein， soluble sugar and malondialdehyde in the leaves of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis showed an overall upward trend. The activities of the three protective enzymes varied. The peroxidase and malondialdehyde were reduced by 181.6% and 200.0% at most. In the root system of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis， the contents of the above-mentioned six components decreased to varying degrees， with the largest reductions of peroxidase and malondialdehyde reaching 44.6% and 69.7%. Different fibrous root treatments resulted in a decrease in active component content of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis. The total content of the four saponins was decreased by 58.9% at most， and the total saponin content by 46.9%. Conclusion:The natural decay of fibrous roots affects the soil microbial environment of root system， reduces the photosynthetic pigment content in leaves， and destroys the stability of cells， thus interfering with the growth and development of P. polyphylla var. yunnanensis， reducing its medicinal components， and causing continuous cropping obstacles.
