Objective This study conducted molecular biological identification of the viruses carried by Culex pipiens pallens specimens collected in Shunyi District, Beijing in 2023, and observed the changes in the infection rate of the viruses carried by Cx. pipiens pallens at different collection times. Methods Cx. pipiens pallens were collected using carbon dioxide mosquito traps. The mosquito samples were ground in batches and analyzed by molecular biology technologies. The virus infection rate at different collection times was analyzed statistically. Results 17 strains of Culex pipiens pallens densovirus(CppDNV)were identified from Cx. pipiens pallens samples collected in Shunyi District, Beijing, in 2023. The nucleotide sequence analysis of the virus genome coding region showed that CppDNV was a single-stranded DNA virus with a total length of 3 335 nt, encoding 2 non-structural proteins(NS1, NS2)and 1 capsid protein(VP). The nucleotide(amino acid)sequence lengths of the three proteins were 2 376 nt(791 aa),1 092 nt(363 aa)and 1 071 nt(356 aa), respectively. Phylogenetic analysis showed that CppDNV was located in genus Brevihamaparvovirus. Statistical analysis showed no significant difference in infection rates across collection times(χ2=4.429, P=0.194). Conclusions CppDNV was identified in Cx. pipiens pallens in Beijing, and it was stably maintained in this natural population.

ObjectiveTo investigate the current status of ethical sensitivity among clinical nursing interns in the context of artificial intelligence (AI) and analyze its influencing factors. MethodsAdopting mixed research methods and convenience sampling, a total of 237 nursing interns from a tertiary A hospital in Xi’an were selected as research subjects. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire and the Nursing Students’ Ethical Sensitivity Scale, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 8 nursing interns. ResultsThe total score of ethical sensitivity among nursing interns was (33.98±6.32), which was at a moderate level. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that academic degree (undergraduate: β=0.147, P<0.05; postgraduate: β=0.139, P<0.05), affinity for the nursing profession (β=0.118, P<0.05), whether they had taken nursing ethics courses (β=-0.124, P<0.05), and familiarity with artificial intelligence (β=-0.159,P<0.05) were influencing factors of ethical sensitivity among nursing interns. Four themes were extracted from semi-structured interviews, namely, the incomplete mastery of nursing ethics-related knowledge among nursing interns, weakened ethical sensitivity in the AI teaching scenario of nursing interns, insufficient professional identity affecting the development of nursing interns’ ethical sensitivity, and technological dependence leading to the lack of humanistic care among nursing interns. ConclusionEthical sensitivity of nursing interns represents a moderate level, primarily influenced by educational background, degree of fondness for the nursing profession, learning experience of nursing ethics courses, and familiarity with AI. Nursing educators and clinical administrators urgently need to establish a sustainable school-hospital collaborative model of nursing ethics education, attach importance to the cultivation of ethical awareness and value guidance for nursing interns, and strengthen the intensity and depth of nursing ethics education among nursing interns, thereby improving their level of ethical sensitivity in the context of AI.

Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)is a chronic metabolic disease characterized by hepatocyte fatty degeneration and ballooning degeneration, and it plays an important role in the progression of hepatic steatosis.Recent studies have shown that immune homeostasis imbalance between T helper 17(Th17)and regulatory T(Treg)cells are closely associated with the pathological process of NASH.Transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)is a key cytokine for regulating the differentiation and proliferation of Th17/Treg cells, and TGF-β1 binds to its receptor and activates the Smad signaling pathway, thereby regulating the immune balance of Th17/Treg cells and the expression of inflammatory factors and participating in the repair of liver inflammation. This article systematically reviews the molecular mechanism of the TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway in affecting NASH by regulating the immune balance of Th17/Treg cells,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the research on the pathogenesis of NASH and related treatment strategies.

As a new generation of time-of-flight mass spectrometry,multiple-reflection time-of-flight mass spectrometry(MR-TOF-MS)has been increasingly applied in the fields such as nuclear physics, chemistry, and biology due to its ultra-high resolution and rapid analysis capabilities. However, the analytical performance of MR-TOF-MS largely depends on the ion bunch state entering the mass analyzer. In this study,a rectangular ion trap(RIT)was developed, designed and processed using printed circuit board technology,as an ion accumulating and focusing device for MR-TOF mass analyzer.Compared to traditional ion traps composed of two sets of planar electrodes, this RIT had higher voltage utilization efficiency, resulting in more efficient ion collection and focusing. The ions were cooled to a sufficiently small bunch for precise mass measurement with MR-TOF-MS mass spectrometry in only 1 ms of cooling time in the RIT,then orthogonally ejected to the MR-TOF mass spectrometer for mass analysis.Experimental results indicated that the working cycle, ion flux, and ion focusing state of the RIT fully met the requirements of the MR-TOF mass analyzer. When coupled with the MR-TOF mass analyzer, the RIT enabled MR-TOF-MS to achieve a mass resolution of 1.5×105.

Arsenic is a semi-metal,and lipid-soluble arsenic compounds are one of the widespread forms in the environment and food chain, but there is a lack of standards for lipid-soluble arsenic compounds, which is one of the bottlenecks in the current analytical detection and toxicological studies of organic arsenic. In this study, four saturated arsenic-containing hydrocarbons,AsHC 318,AsHC 332,AsHC 346,and AsHC 374(The number is relative molecular mass),were successfully synthesized in three steps by using dimethylarsinic acid, potassium iodide, sodium hydroxide, and four brominated alkanes(1-Bromotetradecane,1-bromopentadecane,1-bromohexadecane,and 1-bromooctadecane)as raw materials. The structures of these four saturated arsenic-containing hydrocarbons were characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance(1H NMR)spectroscopy,13C nuclear magnetic resonance(13C NMR)spectroscopy, and high-resolution mass spectrometry(HR-MS).The yields of the method were 8%-10%,and the synthesized compounds could be used in subsequent toxicity evaluation experiments to assess the toxic effects and mechanisms of action of arsenic-containing hydrocarbons. This study provided an effective method for synthesis of arsenic-containing hydrocarbons, enriching the synthesis methods of arsenic-containing hydrocarbons, and provided raw materials for the subsequent toxicological studies of arsenic-containing hydrocarbons.
