Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(1):27-31
Objective:
To investigate the factors influencing the co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia, so as to provide a data foundation and theoretical basis for developing targeted intervention measures.
Methods:
In September and October 2024, a stratified cluster random sampling method was employed to select 139 102 students from 539 schools across 12 leagues/cities and 103 banners/counties in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Participants who were diagnosed with allergic rhinitis by a doctor at least once within one year and had a body mass index ≥ 28 kg/m 2 were considered to have comorbid conditions.
Results:
The coprevalence rate of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia was 6.4% (8 931 cases). Lasso-Logistic regression revealed that nonboarding status, higher maternal education, consuming high protein foods ≥1 time daily, occasionally or never eating breakfast, engaging in moderate to vigorous physical activity for ≥60 minutes on fewer than half of holidays, and having been exposed to second hand smoke in person within the past seven days were associated with higher odds ratios for co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity( OR = 1.23 , 1.22-1.63, 1.20, 1.19, 1.38, 1.35); being female, higher grade level, residence in flag/county/district areas, non only child status, never having consumed a full glass of alcohol, non hypertensive status, and households without pets were associated with lower co-prevalence risks ( OR =0.65, 0.67-0.77, 0.81, 0.87, 0.73, 0.41, 0.68) (all P <0.05). The ROC curve indicated an area under the curve of 0.64 for the predictive model, demonstrating satisfactory discriminatory ability. The calibration curve showed consistency between predicted and actual occurrence probabilities.
Conclusions
The co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia is closely associated with demographic characteristics, dietary behaviours, and lifestyle habits. Future prevention and control strategies should prioritize these factors to implement targeted interventions.

Ovulatory dysfunction (OD) is one of the main causes of infertility in women of childbearing age, which not only affects their reproductive ability, but also physical and mental health. Traditional treatment strategies have limited efficacies, and the emergence of biomedicines provides a promising alternative solution via the strategies of combining engineered design with modern advanced technology. This review explores the pathophysiological characteristics and related induction mechanisms of OD, and evaluates the current cutting-edge advances in its treatments. It emphasizes the potentials of biomedicines strategies such as hydrogels, nanoparticles and extracellular vesicles in improving therapeutic precision and efficacy. By mimicking natural physiological processes, and achieving controlled drug release, these advanced drug carriers are expected to address the challenges in ovarian microenvironment reprogramming, tissue repair, and metabolic and immune regulation. Despite the promising progress, there are still challenges in terms of biomedical complexity, differences between animal models and human physiology, and the demand for intelligent drug carriers in the therapy of OD. Future researches are mainly dedicated to developing precise personalized biomedicines in OD therapy through interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting the development of reproductive regenerative medicine.
3.Research progress of copper death in tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2025;52(3):163-168
Copper death is a newly discovered copper-dependent cell death mode that causes protein-toxic stress and triggers cell death by affecting mitochondrial tricarboxylic acid cycling and iron-sulfur tuftin loss. In recent years, with the in-depth study of the mechanism of copper death, it has been found that the genes related to copper death may be related to the clinical characteristics and prognosis of tumors, which can be used as potential biological targets for the diagnosis or treatment of tumors. At the same time, drugs targeting copper ions such as copper ionophores, copper chelators and copper containing complexes are widely studied. Further study on the mechanism of copper death in the development of tumor can provide new ideas for tumor diagnosis and treatment.

OBJECTIVE To explore the efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) intrauterine infusion combined with Gushen antai pills in the treatment of recurrent abortion (RSA) and its impacts on endometrial receptivity and hormone levels in patients. METHODS A total of 108 patients with RSA treated in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected and evenly divided into control group and study group using the random number table method, with 54 cases in each group. On the basis of conventional treatment, patients in the control group were administered with Gushen antai pills, while patients in the study group received PRP intrauterine infusion combined with Gushen antai pills. The clinical efficacy, TCM syndrome scores before and after treatment, endometrial receptivity [endometrial thickness (EST), spiral artery resistance index (RI), and pulsatility index (PI)], hormone [progesterone (P), estradiol (E2), and human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG)] levels, as well as pregnancy outcomes, were compared between the two groups. Additionally, the occurrence of adverse reactions in both groups was recorded. RESULTS The total effective rate (91.44% vs. 81.48%) and infant live birth rate (96.30% vs. 83.33%) of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Following treatment, various TCM syndrome scores and total score, spiral artery RI and PI levels in both groups were markedly lower than those in the same groups before treatment, with the study group showing significantly lower levels than the control group(P<0.05). Conversely, the P, E2, HCG and EST levels in both groups were significantly higher than those in the same groups before treatment, and the study group exhibited notably higher levels than the control group (P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS PRP intrauterine infusion combined with Gushen antai pills has good clinical efficacy in the treatment of RSA. It can improve TCM syndromes, enhance endometrial receptivity, regulate hormone levels and improve pregnancy outcomes, and it is highly safe.

Objective To investigate the awareness of radon exposure hazards among non-uranium miners in Chongqing, China. Methods A survey was conducted among 177 male miners from eight non-uranium metal mines in Chongqing to collect data on basic information, personal habits, and the rate of radon awareness. Factors affecting radon awareness were analyzed using chi-square test and logistic regression model. Results The awareness rate of radon among miners was 23.73%. The chi-square test indicated significant difference in the radon awareness rate among miners with different levels of education (χ2 = 10.28, P < 0.05), while there was no significant difference across different ages, years of work, labor relations, job categories, and types of miners (P > 0.05). Binary logistic regression analysis showed that a college (junior college) or higher level of education, a high school level of education, and working in mines were factors affecting the radon awareness among miners (χ2 = 4.030, 9.150, 11.776, P < 0.05). Conclusion Miners lack awareness of radon, and there is an urgent need to strengthen education and propaganda regarding the hazards of radon.
6.Predictive value of TyG index combined with ESM-1 for postoperative ischemia in hypertension patients with concomitant CHD
Chinese Journal of Geriatric Heart Brain and Vessel Diseases 2025;27(9):1158-1163
Objective To explore the predictive value of triglyceride-glucose(TyG)index combined with endothelial cell specific molecule 1(ESM-1)for ischemic events in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and hypertension after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 208 hypertension patients with CHD undergoing PCI in the Second Cardiovascular Department of Shangqiu First People's Hospital from March 2021 to March 2024.According to the occurrence of ischemic events during 1 year after surgery, they were divided into an ischemic event group(31 cases)and a non-ischemic event group(177 cases). In 1 d after surgery,5 ml of fasting venous blood was collected to test fasting blood glucose(FBG),blood lipids, liver function,ESM-1 and other indicators, and TyG index was calculated.Multivari-ate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the correlation of TyG index and ESM-1 with ischemic events after PCI in the patients.ROC curve was plotted to evaluate the value of TyG in-dex combined with ESM-1 in predicting ischemic events after PCI,and the AUC value was calcu-lated.Results The levels of FBG,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),triglyceride(TG),TyG index and ESM-1 were significantly higher, while the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)was obviously lower in the ischemic event group than the non-ischemic event group(P<0.01).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that hyperlipidemia, number of vessel disease,FBG,LDL-C,HDL-C,TG,TyG index and ESM-1 were independent risk factors for ischemic events in hypertension and CHD patients after PCI(P<0.05,P<0.01).ROC curve anal-ysis indicated that the AUC value of TyG index and ESM-1 combined together in predicting ische-mic events after PCI in hypertension patients with CHD was statistically higher than that of sin-gle indicator[0.861(95%CI:0.797-0.928)vs 0.746(95%CI:0.660-0.831)and 0.725(95%CI:0.622-0.827),P<0.01].Conclusion High TyG index and high ESM-1 level are independent risk factors for ischemic events after PCI in hypertension patients with CHD.The combination of two indicators has good efficiency for risk of ischemic events after PCI in the patients.

Chinese Journal of Radiological Medicine and Protection 2025;45(1):43-48
Objective:To investigate the radon exposure levels and health effects among non-uranium miners in Chongqing. Methods:From June 2022 to December 2023, a survey was carried out on basic information, radon exposure and occupational health status of 110 male miners with good cooperation attitudes in 6 non-uranium metal mines in normal operation in Chongqing. The logistic regression model was utilized to statistically analyze the impact of miners′ individual radon doses on abnormalities in chromosomal aberration analysis, micronucleus examination, tumor marker tests, and pulmonary CT imaging. Results:Monitoring results from passive integrated radon personal dosimeters indicated that three miners had an annual dose exceeding 2 mSv. Logistic regression analysis revealed that abnormalities in pulmonary CT imaging were associated with miners′ age, tenure, and alcohol consumption ( χ2=12.18, 9.63, 4.87, P<0.05), with no significant correlation with smoking or individual radon dose. There was a significant correlation between individual radon dose and abnormalities in tumor markers; for every additional 1 mSv of effective dose from radon and its progeny, the risk of abnormality increased by 2.25 times ( χ2=4.57, P < 0.05). Conclusions:Some miners in Chongqing are exposed to an annual dose exceeding 2 mSv, and there is a correlation between individual radon doses and abnormalities in lung cancer serum tumor markers. It is necessary to focus on monitoring the radon exposure risks for miners, carry out regular health checks, and enhance the health protection for the miner population.

Objective:To analyze the changes in the prevalence characteristics of multimorbidity among adolescents aged 13-18 in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from 2019 to 2022 and to explore the association between multimorbidity and moderate to high-intensity physical activity among them. Methods:A stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select students aged 13-18 in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region every September from 2019 to 2022. Physical examinations, demographic characteristics, and depression-related surveys were conducted to analyze the multimorbidity of overweight, obesity, high blood pressure, myopia, spinal curvature abnormality, and depression. A logistic regression model was used to analyze the association between multimorbidity and moderate to high-intensity physical activity. Results:From 2019 to 2022, 70 972, 62 923, 80 254, and 78 288 study subjects were included, with the rates of multimorbidity being 56.4%, 55.4%, 57.2%, and 55.8%, respectively. The rates of multimorbidity remained relatively stable from 2019 to 2022 ( χ2=0.06, P=0.950). The incidence of multimorbidity among girls was significantly higher than that among boys ( P<0.001). The incidence of multimorbidity among urban students was significantly higher than that among suburban students ( P<0.001). The incidence of multimorbidity among high school students was higher than that among middle school students ( P<0.001). The top three multimorbidity combinations were myopia and overweight/obesity (26.4%), myopia and high blood pressure (24.4%), and myopia and depression (19.8%), while the least common combination was depression and spinal curvature abnormality (1.1%). The multimorbidity patterns showed no significant differences between years ( χ2=0.03, P=0.999). The multimorbidity status was significantly associated with the status of meeting the standard of moderate to high-intensity physical activity ( OR=0.83, 95% CI: 0.80-0.86). The association was stronger in boys ( OR=0.77, 95% CI: 0.73-0.81) compared with girls ( OR=0.90, 95% CI: 0.85-0.96), with a significant interaction term ( P<0.001). Conclusion:From 2019 to 2022, the incidence of multimorbidity among adolescents aged 13 to 18 in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is relatively high, mainly due to the co-occurrence of myopia and other health problems. Adequate physical activity is an important factor in reducing multimorbidity.
