Objective: To design HBV DNA proficiency testing and system comparison samples with different concentration gradients, analyze their detection results in PCR detection systems, evaluate the nucleic acid detection capabilities of laboratories and differences between detection systems, and put forward suggestions for continuous quality improvement to participating laboratories. Methods: Three groups of randomly numbered proficiency testing samples (with HBV DNA reference concentrations of <2, 7.5, and 30 IU/mL respectively) were taken as the detection objects. Using nucleic acid test data from 11 provincial blood station laboratories as the source, the samples were grouped by detection system and laboratory successively, and statistical analysis was conducted. Results: Statistical analysis of the detection data of the three groups of samples based on detection systems and laboratories showed that from low to high concentration, the coincidence rate between the detection results of different detection systems and laboratories and the expected results showed an increasing trend: 38.89%, 85.90%, and 100.00%; the same system exhibited certain differences in performance among different laboratories. Conclusion: Through this proficiency testing and system comparison, it is found that there are certain differences in the detection capabilities of different laboratories and different nucleic acid test systems. Blood station laboratories should standardize processes, strengthen quality management and data analysis on the basis of being familiar with the detection performance of their detection systems, and at the same time strengthen the control of laboratory interference factors to continuously improve the nucleic acid detection capabilities of blood station laboratories.

Objective:To explore the effect of multidisciplinary management combined with 60-second high-risk diabetic foot screening in diabetic foot. Methods:From January to December 2022, 138 patients with diabetic foot were selected from Xinxiang Central Hospital by convenience sampling. The patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 69 cases in each group. Control group implemented routine follow-up management of diabetic foot, and observation group carried out multidisciplinary management combined with 60-second high-risk diabetic foot screening on the basis of control group, and the intervention lasted for six months. The progress of Wagner grading of diabetic foot and foot self-care were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, the number of Wagner grading progression patients in observation group and control group was four cases (5.80%) and 10 cases (14.49%), respectively. The number of progression patients in observation group was less than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (χ 2=4.161, P=0.041). The total score and dimension scores of diabetic foot self-management in the two groups after the intervention were higher than those before the intervention, but only the scores of observation group before and after the intervention were statistically significant ( P<0.05). After intervention, the total score and dimension scores of diabetic foot self-management in observation group were higher than those in control group, with a statistically significant difference ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Multidisciplinary management combined with 60-second high-risk diabetic foot screening can effectively delay the progress of diabetic foot and improve patients' foot self-care.

This study adopted the policy text analysis method, review the historical background of the enactment, aimed to comparatively analyze the international pharmaceutical trade policies of the BRICS countries. The main objectives of the BRICS countries'international pharmaceutical trade policies included ensuring stable and accessible drug supply, expanding exports of domestic products and creating a favorable political environment. For these purposes,Brazil,Russia, and South Africa all ensure drug supply through substantial imports. However, they have also taken measures such as compulsory patent licensing and promoting localization of production by foreign companies to reduce import dependence.India,on the other hand, protects its domestic industry by resisting drug imports to ensure drug supply while simultaneously promoting the export of pharmaceutical products.China continually optimizes approval and data monitoring procedures to align with international standards, creating a favorable trade environment and expanding exports.China should further refine its international pharmaceutical trade policies while ensuring the autonomy of domestic drug research and supply, fostering stronger collaboration within BRICS nations and promoting global access to public healthcare products.

Objective To investigate the radiotherapy dose impacts of different jaw widths on stereotactic body radiotherapy(SBRT)for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with the hilical tomotherapy(HT)planning system. Methods Totally 16 HCC patients who received radiotherapy at some hospital from March 2021 to August 2023 were selected, and the planning was carried out with the same pitch, modulation factors and optimization conditions and the jaw widths being 1.0,2.5 and 5.0 cm.The dosimetric differences due to the jaw widths in planned targets and organs at risk(OAR)were compared, and the planned treatment time, monitor unit, gantry rotations and gantry period were evaluated.SPSS 22.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results Better dosimetric parameters and lower doses to OARs could be got with lower jaw widths. The widened jaw widths resulted in reduced planned treatment time, decreased monitor units and gantry rotations, shortened gantry period while enhanced treatment efficiency. Conclusion A 2.5 cm jaw width for HT planning contributes to improving treatment efficiency during HCC SBRT under the premise of ensured target dose distribution and satisfactory dose to OAR for clinical require-ments.[Chinese Medical Equipment Journal,2024,45(7):51-55]

Abstract: Objective To compare the differences in the expression of interleukin-8 (IL-8) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) among three groups of individuals: patients with multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), patients with drug-susceptible tuberculosis (DSP-TB), and healthy controls. By analyzing the differences between these groups, the study seeks to provide a reference basis for clinical auxiliary diagnosis of new type tuberculosis. Methods The differences in mRNA expression profiles of chip from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) among three groups were analyzed. MDR-TB and DSP-TB patients were selected as study subjects, with healthy individuals serving as a control group, and the serum IL-8 concentration of each group was measured using an ELISA assay to compare differences between groups. Additionally, PBMCs from all groups were isolated and total RNA was extracted for analysis of IL-8 and STAT3 mRNA expression using quantitative real-time PCR(Q-PCR). Differences in STAT3 protein expression among the groups were also compared by Western blot assay. Results The serum IL-8 concentration in the MDR-TB and DSP-TB groups was significantly higher than that in the healthy control group, with a statistically significant difference (P<0.05). The relative expression level of IL-8 mRNA in PBMCs of the MDR-TB group and DSP-TB group was also significantly higher than that of the healthy control group, with a statistical significance (P<0.05). Both Q-PCR and Western Blot results revealed that the expression of STAT3 in the healthy, DSP-TB and MDR-TB groups sequentially increased, presenting statistically significant differences between the groups (P<0.05), consistent with the mRNA chip results. Conclusions The expression of IL-8 in active tuberculosis patients (ATB) is significantly increased, which can be used as a marker to distinguish ATB from healthy populations. The changes of STAT3 concentration not only serve as a reference for the diagnosis of ATB but can also distinguish between DSP-TB and MDR-TB populations. The combined detection of IL-8 and STAT3 holds promise as a clinical auxiliary diagnostic basis for different tuberculosis patients.
