Type 2 diabetes (T2D), a metabolic disease caused by inadequate insulin secretion or dysfunction, is one of the most common chronic illnesses causing serious health complications in human. The incidence of diabetes in China is high. Increasingly, men in their reproductive years are afflicted with the disease, particularly due to high-fat and high-sugar diets. Male patients with T2D often suffer from reproductive dysfunction, which is characterized by hyposexual desire, penile erectile dysfunction, spermatogenic dysfunction and abnormal ejaculation, etc. In this paper, we review their related mechanisms, in order to provide reference for the clinical solution of these reproductive problems.

Objective:To explore the value of 5G-based robotic remote ultrasound diagnosis system in musculoskeletal joint injuries. Methods:From March to December 2020, 58 volunteers at a training base who felt musculoskeletal pain or paresthesia were selected and performed both robotic remote ultrasound (remote ultrasound group) and conventional ultrasound (portable ultrasound group). The two types of examinations were compared, the consistency of the two diagnosis results was analyzed by the Kappa test, and the the difference of the diagnosis results was compared by McNemar test. Results:Among the 58 volunteers, 40 cases were positive by both methods and 11 volunteers had 2-3 positive results. There were 59 positive results in the remote ultrasound group and 64 positive results in the portable ultrasound group. The positive rate of the examination sites from high to low was knee joint>foot and ankle joint >hand and wrist joint >shoulder joint>elbow joint, calf and hip. The diagnosis results of the two groups were in good consistency (Kappa=0.782, P<0.001), and there was no statistically significant difference in the diagnosis results between the two groups (χ 2=3.2, P=0.063). Five more diseases with positive results were detected in the portable ultrasound group: 1 meniscus injury, 1 medial collateral ligament injury, 1 soft tissue injury around the metatarsal, 1 biceps tendinitis with effusion and 1 cubital ulnar nerve subluxation. Conclusions:The 5G-based robotic remote ultrasound system has good consistency with conventional ultrasound in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal injures. It can be applied to the ultrasound diagnosis of musculoskeletal joint injuries in remote areas.

Objective To analyze karyotype, genetic characteristics and clinical features of Turner syn-drome.Methods Cytogenetic analysis and genetic counseling were performed for patients with the diagnosis of Turner syndrome. Results Analyzed karyotype of forty-nine patients with Turner syndrome, there are five major categories such as simple type, numerical abnormality and chimeras, structural abnormality and chime-ras,both numerical abnormality and structural abnormality chimeras, contained the Y chromosome.Abnormal karyotypes were presented at eighteen species.Simple type was the most prevalent type of patients with Turn-er syndrome(43%).Conclusion Different karyotype exhibit some different phenotype. The clinical manifesta-tion of chimeras might depend on the proportion of abnormal karyotype,Case contained the Y chromosome would be hermaphrodismy mostly.Timely diagnosis of the disease would have positive significance to preven-tion and therapy.Hormonal therapy could improve patient's height and gonad development, the case contained the Y chromosome should pay attention to prevent gonadoblastoma.

OBJECTIVE:To explore the association between the mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA)3537A/G,5351A/G variant and type 2diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in northem Chinese population.METHODS:The subjects including 614 patients with T2DM in Dalian City,61 of them were collected from family survey,497 of them were collected from Department of Endocrine,Dalian Municipal Central Hospital, and the remained 56 were selected from diverging T2DM patients in Dalian City.Additional 344 cases with normal carbohydrate toierance were served as controls. The mtDNA 3537A/G.5351A/G variants in 614 patients with T2DM and 334 healthy control subjects were examined.By sequencing the mtDNA in 24 cases and 26 controls,2 candidate SNPs in mtDNA were determined, and then genotyping was carried out by using PCR restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RFLP)analysis.RESULTS:The frequency of mtDNA A3537G and A5351G mutation was 2.0%and 2.6% in T2DM patients, respectively, which was 2.1%and 4.2% in the control group. No significant difference had been observed between case and control(P>0.05).After stratifying by body mass index and blood pressure,we found that the frequency of A5351 G in obesity patients with T2DM was 1.61%,and in obesity control was 15.38%,which had significant difference(P_(Fisher)=0.02,OR=2.76),however,A3537G stili showed no significant difference in all groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION:5351A/G in mtDNA ND2 gene may be a variance associated with T2DM in northem Chinese.
