Objective To investigate the expression of carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6 (CEACAM6) in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and analyze its correlation with immune cell infiltration and patient prognosis. Methods Three ESCC datasets (GSE161533, GSE26886, and GSE23400) from the GEO database were analyzed to identify differentially expressed genes. CEACAM6 was identified as a key gene through survival analysis. Its expression, prognostic value, and relationship with immune cell infiltration were further explored using databases, such as TIMER. Tissue samples were collected from 162 patients with ESCC. Immunohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression of CEACAM6, immune cell markers (CD4, CD8, CD20, and CD56), and immune checkpoint molecules (HHLA2 and CD40LG). Correlations between CEACAM6 expression and clinicopathological features, immune cell infiltration, and immune checkpoints were analyzed. Results Bioinformatic analysis and clinical sample validation confirmed that CEACAM6 expression was significantly upregulated in ESCC tissues compared with adjacent nontumor tissues (P<0.05). High CEACAM6 expression was closely associated with advanced clinical stage (AJCC Ⅲ-Ⅳ), high T stage (T3-T4), lymph node metastasis, nonulcerative type, and poor prognosis. Furthermore, CEACAM6 expression levels were positively correlated with the infiltration density of CD8⁺ T cells, CD4⁺ T cells, and CD20⁺ B cells within the tumor microenvironment and with the expression of the immune checkpoint molecules HHLA2 and CD40LG (all P<0.05). Conclusion CEACAM6 serves as an independent poor prognostic factor for ESCC. Its high expression is implicated in the modulation of the tumor immune microenvironment by correlating with specific immune cell infiltration and immune checkpoint molecules, suggesting its potential as a novel prognostic biomarker and immunotherapeutic target for ESCC.

Objective To investigate the number and categories of cognitive subtypes in individuals with First-Episode Schizophrenia(FES)and to explore the potential neurobiological sleep characteristics associated with these distinct cognitive subtypes.Methods The cognitive functions of 45 patients withFES and 40 healthy controls(HCs)were assessed using the MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery(MCCB).Latent profile analysis was employed to identify and classify the cognitive subtypes of FES patients.Furthermore,a full-night polysom-nographic recording was conducted to quantify the characteristics of sleep spindle waves.Subsequently,differ-ences in sleep spindle wave features among the identified cognitive subtypes of FES were analyzed and compared.Results Latent Profile Analysis identified two cognitive subtypes among FES patients:a subtype characterized by severe cognitive impairment(SIS,n=32)and another with relatively preserved cognitive function(CRP,n=13).Compared to healthy controls(HCs,n=40),FES patients exhibited increased spindle wave amplitude dur-ing both N2 and N3 sleep stages.Further analysis revealed that the spindle wave duration during the N2 stage was significantly longer in the SIS subtype compared to both CRP and HCs.Similarly,in the N3 stage,the spindle wave duration was longer in SIS than in CRP.Additionally,spindle wave frequency during the N3 stage was higher in both SIS and HCs compared to CRP.Conclusions The results of this study suggest that variations in the fre-quency and duration of spindle waves among different cognitive subtypes may serve as potential neurobiological markers for distinguishing FES cognitive subtypes.

Objective To evaluate the impact of lens capsule diameter and capsular tension ring(CTR)fit on the ro-tational stability and visual function of Toric intraocular lenses(IOLs)in patients with high myopia cataract after surgery,and to explore the main influencing factors.Methods A prospective study included 100 eyes of patients with high myopia(axial length≥26 mm)who underwent phacoemulsification cataract extraction combined with Toric IOL implantation at the Cataract Department of Hebei Eye Hospital from September 2023 to March 2024.Based on the ratio of the capsule equivalent diameter measured by anterior segment OCT(CASIA2)to the standard diameter of CTR,the eyes were divided into the matched group(ratio of 0.8-1.2)and the unmatched group.Follow-up was conducted at 1 week,1 month,3 months,6 months,and 12 months postoperatively to observe the rotation angle of Toric IOL,residual astigmatism,uncor-rected visual acuity,and other indicators.Safety was assessed based on intraoperative and postoperative complications.Correlation analysis and multiple linear regression were used to explore the impact of capsule-CTR fit,corneal astigmatism,axial length,and other factors on Toric IOL rotation and postoperative refractive status.Results The mean IOL rotation angle at each postoperative time point in the matched group was significantly smaller than that in the unmatched group,with statistically significant differences between groups at different time points(all P＜0.05).The matched group showed better stability in IOL decentration distance and tilt angle.At 12 months postoperatively,the residual astigmatism in the matched group was(0.53±0.29)D,which was better than that in the unmatched group(0.71±0.34)D(P=0.08).The matched group also had more significant improvement in uncorrected visual acuity and higher subjective visual quality scores.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that capsule-CTR fit and preoperative corneal astigmatism were the main independent factors affecting the rotation angle of Toric IOL(R2=0.52)and residual astigmatism(R2=0.46).Conclu-sion For patients with high myopia cataract,precise capsule-CTR matching based on CASIA2 measurement helps improve the rotational stability of Toric IOLs,reduce residual astigmatism,and enhance postoperative visual quality.Personalized CTR model selection is worth promoting and applying.

Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of a patient-family-centered visiting model in improving caregivers'beliefs and attitudes toward visiting patients with mental disorders.Methods:A total of 140 caregivers of inpatients diagnosed with mental disorders according to the ICD-10 were randomly assigned to an intervention group(n=71)and a control group(n=69).The intervention group participated a patient-family-centered visiting model for 4 weeks,while the control group followed routine visitation.Caregivers' beliefs and attitudes were assessed using the Beliefs and Attitudes toward Visitation in ICU Questionnaire(BAVIQ)was used to assess the improvement in caregivers' beliefs and attitudes before the intervention and at the end of the 1st,2nd,3rd,and 4th weeks after the intervention.Results:Repeated measures ANOVA showed that the belief score and attitude score of the BAVIQ questionnaire in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group(Ps＜0.05)across time points.Chi-square test further confirmed that the improvement in the intervention group were significantly bet-ter than in the control group(Ps＜0.05).Conclusion:The patient-family-centered visiting model is more effective than routine visiting model in improving the caregivers' visiting beliefs and attitudes in mental health settings.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a chronic mental illness characterized by obsessive thinking and compulsive behavior. Tourette syndrome (TS) is a chronic neuropsychiatric disorder primarily manifesting as involuntary motor and vocal tics. This case report describes a 17-year-old male patient who presented with recurrent intrusive thoughts and involuntary limb twitching. He was diagnosed with OCD and TS. Treatment included sertraline and aripiprazole oral solution, repeatitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, habit reversal training and relaxation training. Following treatment, both OCD symptoms and tic symptoms significantly alleviated. This case reports aims to provide a reference for the treatment of coexisting Tourette′s syndrome with OCD disorder.

Objective:To explore the associations of temperature, relative humidity, and their interaction effect with fall risk.Methods:Data on fall cases were collected using the national injury surveillance system from May to September, in 2006-2022 in Hubei Province. Combined with the meteorological and air pollution data, we conducted a time-stratified case-crossover design and used conditional logistic regression models and distributed lag nonlinear models to examine the exposure-response relationships between temperature, humidity, and fall risk. We further divided the low and the high temperature groups and the low and the high relative humidity groups and analyzed the excess risk ( ER) of falls attributed to dry-hot or wet-hot events. Finally, we calculated the additive interactions of temperature and humidity on fall risk. Results:A total of 55 401 fall cases were included. With the increase in temperature and relative humidity decrease, the exposure-response curves of fall showed nonlinear upward trends among all populations. Gender and age differences were found in temperature-fall and relative humidity-fall risk relationships. Compared with wet-non-hot (normal temperature and high relative humidity) events, the ER of fall in dry-hot (high temperature and low relative humidity) events was 14.80% (95% CI: 9.69%- 20.15%), and the ER of wet-hot (high temperature and high relative humidity) events was 9.59% (95% CI: 2.52%-17.13%). However, there was no statistically significant difference between dry-hot and wet-hot events in the fall, and no statistically significant difference between different genders, ages, occupations, and fall occurred place (all P>0.05). No significant synergistic additive interaction was found between temperature and relative humidity on fall risk (relative excess risk due to interaction=-0.08, 95% CI: -0.19-0.02). Conclusions:Higher temperatures and lower relative humidity were associated with increased fall risk. Both dry-hot and wet-hot events had a higher risk of fall, while high temperature and low humidity have no synergistic effect on fall risk.

Objective: To analyze the change trends in the body shape indicators and proportions of students in Harbin from 2010 to 2024, and to investigate ergonomic compatibility of functional dimensions of school desks and chairs with current student shape indicators, so as to provide a reference for revising furniture standards of desks and chairs. Methods: Between September and November of both 2010 and 2024, a combination of convenience sampling and stratified cluster random sampling was conducted across three districts in Harbin, yielding samples of 6 590 and 6 252 students, respectively. Anthropometric shape indicators cluding height, sitting height, crus length, and thigh length-and their proportional changes were compared over the 15-year period. The 2024 data were compared with current standard functional dimensions of school furniture. The statistical analysis incorporated t-test and Mann-Whitney U- test. Results: From 2010 to 2024, average height increased by 1.8 cm for boys and 1.5 cm for girls; sitting height increased by 1.5 cm for both genders; crus length increased by 0.3 cm for boys and 0.4 cm for girls; and thigh length increased by 0.5 cm for both genders. The ratios of sitting height to height, and sitting height to leg length increased by less than 0.1 . The difference between desk chair height and 1/3 sitting height ranged from 0.4-0.8 cm. Among students matched with size 0 desks and chairs, 22.0% had a desk to chair height difference less than 0, indicating that the desk to chair height difference might be insufficient for taller students. The differences between seat height and fibular height ranged from -1.4 to 1.1 cm; and the differences between seat depth and buttock popliteal length ranged from -9.8 to 3.4 cm. Among obese students, the differences between seat width and 1/2 hip circumference ranged from -20.5 to -8.7 cm, while it ranged from -12.2 to -3.8 cm among non obese students. Conclusion Current furniture standards basically satisfy hygienic requirements; however, in the case of exceptionally tall and obese students, ergonomic accommodations such as adaptive seating allocation or personalized adjustments are recommended to meet hygienic requirements.

This consensus will introduce the characteristics of fillers used in the surgical cavities of domestic nasal surgery patients based on relevant literature and expert opinions. It will also provide recommendations for the selection of cavity fillers for different nasal diseases, with chronic sinusitis as a representative example.
