The jaw and femur are commonly used sites in basic research for modeling bone defects or inserting implants. An increasing number of studies have identified that the jaw and femur indeed show great differences in embryonic development and growth, histomorphology and bone metabolism. A literature review showed that, compared with the femur, the main osteogenic pathway of the jaw may have better osteogenic ability, and its stem cells have better proliferation and osteogenic differentiation ability. However, the jaw structure is less regular, the osteogenic differentiation ability of its osteoblasts is mineralization slightly weak, and the immune cells of the jaw are more sensitive to cytokines. These may be the reasons why the osseointegration of the jaw implant is different from that of the femur in animal experiments, but its specific mechanism has not been clarified.

With human placed in the whole nature, by following the biologic evolution path, the property of channel structure for "imprinting template" in meridian andwas explored with supramolecular chemistry. In the history of biologic evolution, each molecule in "molecule society" gradually developed into various highly-ordered supramolecular bodies based on self-identification, self-assembly, self-organization, self-replicating of"imprinting template", and thereby the original biochemical system was established, and finally evolved into human. In the forming process of supramolecular bodies, the channel structure of"imprinting template" in guest supramolecular bodies would be kept by host supramolecular bodies, and communicate with the outside to exchange materials, energy, information, otherwise life phenomenon could not continue, for which it was the chemical nature of biolo-gical supramolecular bodies for body to develop meridian. Therefore, the human was a gigantic and complicated supramolecules body in biological nature, and possessed the supramolecules "imprinting template" at each stage of evolution, for which the meridians were formed. When meridians converged, acupoints appeared; when acupointsconverged, appeared. With the promotion of the blood from heart, according to"imprinting template", the guest supramolecular bodies and host meridian produced-analysis, which was the-phenomenon of guest in meridian. It presented asimage of physiology and pathology as well as action regularities of medication and acupuncture tolerance, by which current various meridian viewpoints could be explained and propose the hypothesis of meridian supramolecular bodies. The meridian and its phenomenon was decide by its "imprinting template" of supramolecular bodies and self-reaction regularities, which abided through the living nature. This was the substance for meridian biology.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(1):4-9
This paper introduced a hand function rehabilitation system based on motor imagery (MI) brain-computer interface for hand function rehabilitation of stroke patients. The rehabilitation system contains three subsystems. Offline training subsystem displays the blank screen, a left or right hand movement video and arrow in turn, which respectively reminders patients to rest and make preparations for MI and instruct them how to do MI, and be doing MI. Finally, the patients' electroephalography (EEG) signals are acquired and processed togenerate a recognition model. Model update online training subsystem presents the black screen and a left or right arrow, the meanings ofwhich are the same as those in offline training subsystem. Then the acquired EEG signals are analyzed according to the established recognitionmodel. Next, the analysis result is derived to control the hand movement video to be played. The video can also act as a visual feedback, which makes patients' EEG signals easier to be recognized. The updated and more effective recognition model is built at last. Virtual reality(VR) online training subsystem constructs 3D grid models of VR scene, a 3D man model and its hand animations in the 3Dmax. Then, all ofthem are imported into Unity3D. The control methods of the animations are also designed in Unity3D. In the end, the patients' EEG signalsare analyzed according to the updated recognition model, thus controlling the hand movements of the 3D man in real time. The developedsystem has many characteristics, such as multilevel training and more immersion, which hopefully promotes the plasticity of central nervoussystem. The designed system provides new treatments for post-stroke hand function rehabilitation and further lays the foundation for family-mode rehabilitation.

Objective To discuss the effect of G-protein-coupled receptor 49 (GPR49)gene on proliferation and invasive ability of hepatoma cell line Huh7 and its molecular biological mechanism. Methods According to the different transfected small interfering RNA(si-RNA),Huh7 cells were divided into the GPR49-siRNA(si-GPR49)group and the NC-siRNA (si-NC)group.Untransfected Huh7 cells were set as the control group. Messenger RNA (mRNA )and protein expression of GPR49, cyclin D1 and matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9)in the cells of the three groups were respectively detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)and Western blot method. The proliferation and invasive ability of the cells of each group were respectively detected by MTT method and Transwell method. Results The relative expression of GPR49 mRNA of the si-GPR49 group was (23.8 ±3.1)% of the control group (P <0.05). Compared with the control group, the protein expression of GPR49,cyclin D1 and MMP9 of the si-GPR49 group decreased significantly (all in P <0.05).The proliferation experiment results by MTT indicated that the optical density(OD)of the cells of the si-GPR49 group at 72 h was (0.53 ±0.12),which was significantly lower than that of the control group (1.35 ±0.28).The difference had statistical significance (P <0.05). The average invaded cell counts of the si-GPR49 group were (13.6 ±2.5),which was significantly lower than (65.3 ±6.1 )of the control group. The difference had statistical significance (P <0.05 ).Conclusions GPR49-siRNA may inhibit the gene expression of GPR49 in Huh7 cells. Its mechanism may be that the proliferation of Huh7 cells is inhibited by reducing the level of cyclin D1;the migration and invasive ability of Huh7 cells is inhibited by affecting the expression level of MMP9.
