BACKGROUND:
Hemorrhagic stroke (HS) is associated with significant disability and mortality. However, the relationship between meteorological factors and hemorrhagic stroke, as well as the potential moderating role of these factors, remains unclear.
METHODS:
Daily data on HS, air pollution, and meteorological conditions were collected from January 2015 to December 2021 in Ganzhou to analyze the relationship between meteorological factors and HS admissions. This analysis employed a time-stratified case-crossover design in conjunction with a distributional lag nonlinear model. Additionally, a bivariate response surface modelling was utilized to further investigate the interaction between meteorological factors and particulate matter. The study also stratified the analyses by gender and age. To investigate the potential impact of extreme weather conditions on HS, this study defined the 97.5th percentile as representing extremely high weather conditions, while the 2.5th percentile was classified as extremely low.
RESULTS:
In single-day lags, the risk of admissions for HS was significantly associated with extremely low temperature (lag 1-2 and lag 13-14), extremely low humidity (lag 1 and lag 9-12), and extremely high precipitation (lag 2-7). Females exhibited greater susceptibility to extremely low temperature than males within the single-day lag pattern in the subcomponent layer, with a maximum relative risk (RR) that was 7% higher. In the cumulative lag analysis, the risk of HS admissions was significantly associated with extremely high temperature (lag 0-8∼lag 0-14), extremely low humidity (lag 0-2∼lag 0-14), and extremely high precipitation (lag 0-4∼lag 0-14). Within the cumulative lag day structure of the subcomponent layer, both extremely low and extremely high temperature had a more pronounced effect on females and aged ≥65 years. The risk of HS admissions was positively associated with extremely high barometric pressure in the female subgroups (lag 0-1 and lag 0-2). The highest number of HS admissions occurred when high PM2.5 concentrations coexisted with low precipitation.
CONCLUSIONS
Meteorological factors were significantly associated with the risk of hospital admissions for HS. Individuals who were female and aged ≥65 years were found to be more susceptible to these meteorological influences. Additionally, an interaction was observed between airborne particulate matter and meteorological factors. These findings contributed new evidence to the association between meteorological factors and HS.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2022;39(1):92-102
At present, fatigue state monitoring of upper limb movement generally relies solely on surface electromyographic signal (sEMG) to identify and classify fatigue, resulting in unstable results and certain limitations. This paper introduces the sEMG signal recognition and motion capture technology into the fatigue state monitoring process and proposes a fatigue analysis method combining an improved EMG fatigue threshold algorithm and biomechanical analysis. In this study, the right upper limb load elbow flexion test was used to simultaneously collect the biceps brachii sEMG signal and upper limb motion capture data, and at the same time the Borg Fatigue Subjective and Self-awareness Scale were used to record the fatigue feelings of the subjects. Then, the fatigue analysis method combining the EMG fatigue threshold algorithm and the biomechanical analysis was combined with four single types: mean power frequency (MPF), spectral moments ratio (SMR), fuzzy approximate entropy (fApEn) and Lempel-Ziv complexity (LZC). The test results of the evaluation index fatigue evaluation method were compared. The test results show that the method in this paper has a recognition rate of 98.6% for the overall fatigue state and 97%, 100%, and 99% for the three states of ease, transition and fatigue, which are more advantageous than other methods. The research results of this paper prove that the method in this paper can effectively prevent secondary injury caused by overtraining during upper limb exercises, and is of great significance for fatigue monitoring.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2019;31(11):1091-1096
Objective:
To investigate thestatus and control of blood lipid level among patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in rural communities of Zhejiang Province, and to provide evidence for blood lipid control for T2DM.
Methods:
A sample of 10 343 patients with T2DM managed by communities from Jiashan,Suichang and Yongkang in 2016 were recruited. Through the diabetes registry system, physical examination and laboratory tests, data of demographic features, blood pressure, body mass index(BMI),waist circumstance(WC),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)were collected to learn the status of blood lipid control. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to explore the influencing factors for blood lipid control.
Results:
The control rate of TC,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C in patients with T2DM was 29.84%,58.72%,48.25% and 61.27%,respectively. About 11.76% of patients had all the four indicators in control, while 9.22% of patients failed in all. The higher control rates of all of the four indicators were seen in males than females,in older age,in lower BMI and in normal people than in central obese people(all P<0.05). The results of multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that sex(OR=3.556,95%CI:3.070-4.119),age(OR=1.130,95%CI:1.060-1.204),WC(OR=0.989,95%CI:0.980-0.998),
BMI(OR=0.768,95%CI:0.688-0.857),systolic blood pressure(OR=0.991,95%CI:0.984-0.999),HbA1c level(OR=0.914,95%CI:0.876- 0.953),smoking(OR=0.768,95%CI:0.639-0.924)and drinking(OR=0.688,95%CI:0.536-0.884)were associated with the control of TC,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C in patients with T2DM.
Conclusion
The control rate of blood lipid is low in patients with T2DM in rural communities of Zhejiang Province, surveillance and interventions should be focused on sex,overweight/obesity,smoking,alcohol intake, blood glucose and blood pressure.

Objective To explore the safety and cosmetic effect of nipple-sparing modified radical mas tectomy and immediate tissue expander implantation with single circumaereolar incision. Methods 30 patients were enrolled in Peking Union Medical College Hospital between Jan.2014 and Dec.2015.All the patients were categorized according to surgical incision (single circumaereolar incision group vs double incisions group).Data on clinicopathological parameters, average hospital stay, complications and overall cosmetic effect were retrospectively collected.Data was performed with Chi-square test,Fisher exact test and t-test.Statistical significance was defined as P<0.05.Results 19 patients were enrolled in single circumaereolar incision group, and 11 patients in double incisions group. There was no significant difference for operation duration (P=0.093) and average hospital stay (P=0.339).After follow-up for 19.1 months, ranging from 8 to 31 months,no patients developed seroma or arm lymphedema. There was no statistical significance between the two groups in terms of sensation in nippleaereolar area (P=0.973),bilateral symmetry (P=0.650) and overall cosmesis (P=0.483).Conclusion single circumaereolar incision nipple-sparing modified radical mastectomy and immediate tissue expander implantation can be one of the preferable surgical procedures with benefits of minimal invasiveness, reliable oncological safety and decent cosmetic effect.
