Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(1):42-45
Objective:
To understand the allocation and use of safety seats for preschool children and explore its related factors, so as to provide a scientific reference for promoting the usage of safety seats.
Methods:
A stratified random cluster sampling method was used to select 3 143 parents of preschool children aged 3 to 6 from six kindergartens in Shunyi District, Beijing from January 3 to 10, 2022. An online questionnaire survey was conducted to collect and evaluate the equipment and use of child safety seats in different characteristics of preschool children, as well as their scores of health beliefs. Multiple factor Logistic regression analysis was used to investigated the related factors of safety seat configuration and use.
Results:
The equipping rate and usage rate of safety seats for preschool children were 66.56% and 58.45%, respectively. The proportion of equipped and used safety seats for preschool children in core families (69.52%, 62.23%) were higher than that in large families (64.35%, 55.62%), only child families ( 72.39 %, 64.87%) were higher than non only child families (61.49%, 52.86%), and urban families (71.63%, 63.04%) were higher than rural families (52.31%, 45.51%) ( χ 2=9.23, 13.86; 41.72, 46.44; 101.96 ,76.97,all P <0.05) . As the educational level of parents ( χ 2 trend =154.23,98.76) and annual income of the family ( χ 2 trend =155.78,127.69) rised, the reporting rates of the equipped and used child safety seats in the family also increased(all P <0.05 ). There were statistically significant differences in the scores of different dimensions of health beliefs for the provision ( t =-20.22-18.16) and use ( t =24.32-24.17) of safety seats for preschool children(all P <0.05). After adjusting for child sex, child age, family annual income, parental education level, family type, whether the child was an only child, and place of residence, multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that preschool children with higher perceived susceptibility score( OR =1.11, 1.08), higher self efficacy score( OR =1.23, 1.33), and higher suggestive factors score( OR =1.08, 1.12) were more likely to have and use safety seats in their families, while preschool children with higher perceived impairments score( OR =0.82, 0.80) were less likely to have and use safety seats in their families (all P <0.05).
Conclusions
The installation rate of child safety seats needs to be improved, and there is also a certain gap in their use after installation. Parents of preschool children should improve susceptibility and self efficacy to safety seat equipment and use, and perceptual barriers should be reduced.

With the rapid development of competitive sports, the incidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury is on the rise. Such injuries may shorten athletes′ career and lead to other long-term adverse consequences. Although athletes generally recover well after ACL reconstruction, many still struggle to return to their pre-injury performance levels. Advances in the understanding of ACL anatomy and injury mechanisms, along with the evolution of surgical techniques and rehabilitation methods, have provided more individualized and tailored options for athletes following ACL injuries. However, there is currently no consensus in China regarding surgical and rehabilitation strategies for competitive athletes aiming to return to sports after ACL injuries. To this end, the Sports Medicine Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association and the Editorial Board of the Chinese Journal of Trauma jointly formulated the Expert consensus on surgical treatment and rehabilitation for competitive sports athletes returning to sports after anterior cruciate ligament injury ( version 2025), and presented 14 recommendations covering surgical indications, preoperative rehabilitation, surgical timing, surgical strategies and postoperative rehabilitation strategies, aiming to improve the surgical treatment and rehabilitation system for ACL injuries in competitive athletes and facilitate their return to high-level sports performance after injury.

Objective:To document the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided genicular nerve block (GNB) in treating knee osteoarthritis (KOA).Methods:A total of 92 KOA patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group with 46 in each. Those in both groups were treated conventionally, including with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, acupuncture, ultrasound, laser irradiation and manipulation therapy. The observation group additionally underwent ultrasound-guided genicular nerve block treatment, once a week for 2 weeks. Pain scoring on a visual analog scale (VAS), the Western Ontario and McMaster University Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) and a 6-minute walk test (6MWT) were used to evaluate everyone before and after the treatment, and then 8 weeks later. Results:In the observation group the average VAS rating [(3.54±2.00) at week 2 and (4.13±2.04) at week 8] and the average WOMAC subscale and total scores [(36.91±16.91) at week 8] had improved significantly right after the experiment and 8 weeks later. But in the control group this was true only right after the treatment. The observation group also demonstrated superior improvements in 6MWT distance at week 2 [(434.22±125.19)m] and week 8 [(446.35±126.45)m] compared to both its own baseline and the control group.Conclusions:Ultrasound-guided genicular nerve block is a rapid, precise, effective, and long-lasting intervention for alleviating pain, improving knee function and enhancing walking endurance in KOA patients.

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of reconstruction of the degloving injury of thumb and finger with free perforator flap of superficial peroneal artery. Methods:This is a retrospective study. From June 2020 to June 2023, 18 superficial peroneal artery perforator flaps from 14 calves were used to treat 15 degloved digital wounds of 14 patients in the Department of Hand Surgery, Suzhou Ruihua Orthopaedic Hospital. There were 13 single digital degloving wounds and 1 two-digital degloving wounds. Of which, 3 digits were reconstructed with 2 free perforator flaps of ipsilateral superficial peroneal artery and 12 with a single free perforator flap of superficial peroneal artery. The size of wounds was 4.0 cm×2.0 cm-10.0 cm×4.0 cm, and the flaps were 5.0 cm×3.0 cm-12.0 cm×4.0 cm in size. The donor sites in calves were sutured layer by layer with absorptive sutures. Postoperative follow-ups were conducted through regular outpatient visits, phone calls or WeChat. Survival of flaps, postoperative complications, therapeutic effect of the flaps and patient satisfaction were observed. Results:There was no vascular compromise or wound infection of the flaps. All patients were included in the 4 to 36 months of postoperative follow-up, with an average of 9.86 months. All flaps had good appearance, without obvious swelling. Colour and texture of the flaps was close to the surrounding skin. The flaps had no obvious pigmentation or ulcer and scar hyperplasia at recipient site. Sensation of the flaps recovered to S 2 to S 3. There was no obvious scar hyperplasia, pain or dysfunction at donor sites. According to the comprehensive evaluation scale of flap, the scores were found at 81 to 91, with an average score of 85 in the 14 patients, and of whom 2 were excellent and 12 were good. Patient satisfaction was evaluated according to the Michigan Hand Outcomes Questionnaire (MHQ) and 10 patients were very satisfied and 4 were satisfied. Conclusion:Free perforator flap of superficial peroneal artery is one of the ideal flaps in reconstruction of degloving injury of thumb and fingers. It features constant and multiple perforators, reliable blood supply, high survival rate, flexible in design, thin and a small damage to the donor site.

BACKGROUND:Developmental dysplasia of hip refers to the deformity of acetabulum and proximal femur, which can lead to hip instability and hip osteoarthritis. Periacetabular osteotomy is the main treatment for non-terminal developmental dysplasia of hip in adolescents and adults. Pelvic inclination plays an important role in biomechanics of hip joint, which determines the stress direction of hip joint. In hip joint diseases, pelvic compensatory tilt can occur to minimize the abnormal stress of hip joint.OBJECTIVE:To observe whether periacetabular osteotomy changes pelvic sagittal tilt in patients with developmental dysplasia of hip,and to investigate the effect of acetabular covering on pelvic sagittal tilt.METHODS:A retrospective analysis was performed on 29 patients who underwent periacetabular osteotomy due to developmental dysplasia of hip in West China Hospital of Sichuan University from August 2019 to June 2022. Anteroposterior X-rays of the standing pelvis were collected before and 6 months after surgery. The pelvic tilt parameters, including the lateral center-edge angle, pubic symphysis to sacroiliac joint distance, pubic symphysis to sacroiliac joint midline distance,sacrofemoral-pubic angle, and pelvic tilt, were measured. Hip functions of all patients were assessed by hip disability and osteoarthritis score and Harris score before and 6 months after surgery.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) The lateral center-edge angle, pubic symphysis to sacroiliac joint midline distance, and sacrofemoral-pubic angle were significantly increased 6 months postoperatively compared to preoperative values (P<0.05). Tonnis angle and pelvic tilt were significantly decreased (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in pubic symphysis to sacroiliac joint distance between preoperative and postoperative measurements (P>0.05). (2) The hip disability and osteoarthritis scores and Harris scores were significantly increased 6 months after operation (P<0.01). (3) It is indicated that periacetabular osteotomy surgery can significantly improve acetabular coverage and the pelvis showed significant anteversion changes in patients with developmental dysplasia of hip.
