Objective: To investigate the association between the physical fitness index (PFI) and symptoms of depressive, anxiety and stress symptoms among college students, providing a reference for mental health interventions. Methods: From June to September 2025, combined convenience and cluster random sampling approach was used to administer questionnaire surveys and perform physical fitness tests on 2 712 college students from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University. The Depression Anxiety Stress Scales-21 Items (DASS-21) was used to assess mental health status. Chi square test and multivariate Logistic regression analysis were used to determine the associations between the PFI and the PFI component indicators with depressive, anxiety and stress symptoms. Results: The prevalence of depressive, anxiety and stress among college students were 24.26%, 33.22% and 13.68%, respectively. Statistically significant differences in the prevalence of these symptoms were detected across groups differing in sleep quality, physical activity, weekly breakfast frequency, and history of low back or neck pain ( χ 2=9.33-151.83, all P <0.05). After adjusting for confounding factors, Logistic regression revealed that the moderate and high PFI groups had significantly reduced risks of depressive and anxiety compared to the low PFI group ( OR =0.73, 0.63; 0.61, 0.72, all P <0.05). Poor speed (50 m run) and lower body strength (standing long jump) emerged as common risk factors affecting anxiety and depressive symptoms in both male and female college students (all P <0.05). Increased muscle strength (sit up for 1 min) in female students reduced the risk of depressive ( OR =0.81), anxiety ( OR =0.85), and stress symptoms ( OR =0.79) (all P <0.05). Enhanced lung capacity in male students decreased the risk of depressive ( OR =0.84) and anxiety symptoms ( OR =0.85) (both P <0.05). Conclusions The PFI is negatively correlated with depressive and anxiety symptoms among college students with notable gender differences. Insufficient speed and lower body explosive power represent common risk factors for mental health among male and female college students.

Central memory T (Tcm) cells are a crucial subset in T cell development, playing an important role in long-term immune responses. Tcm cells exhibit strong proliferative capacity, long-term survival characteristics, and re-activation potential, enabling them to rapidly differentiate into effector T cells (Teff) upon antigen re-exposure, thus providing robust immune protection. The function of Tcm cells is regulated by various factors, including antigen exposure, cytokines, and metabolic conditions. A deeper understanding of their metabolic and epigenetic mechanisms under different pathological conditions will contribute to the development of more precise and effective immunotherapeutic strategies. This review elaborates on the origin and characteristics of Tcm cells, as well as their roles in antiviral responses, tumor immunity, and immunotherapy.

Objective To investigate the high-risk factors associated with acute postoperative hypertension (APH) following laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy(LSG) in obese patients and to establish a predictive model. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data and laboratory parameters of obese patients who underwent LSG at Department of Metabolic Surgery in our hospital from August 2021 to December 2023. Logistic-LASSO regression analysis was used to identify independent risk factors for APH. A nomogram predictive model was developed based on these factors. The predictive performance and clinical utility of the model were assessed using the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, Bootstrap resampling, calibration curve, Hosmer-Lemeshow (H-L) test, decision curve analysis (DCA), and clinical impact curve (CIC). Results The incidence of APH was 55.90%. Body mass index (BMI), platelet count, globulin, uric acid, sodium, fibrinogen, fasting blood glucose, and preoperative diastolic pressure had potential predictive value. Among them, BMI (OR=1.066, 95% CI: 1.003-1.137, P=0.046), platelet count (OR=0.994, 95% CI: 0.998-0.999, P=0.027), fibrinogen (OR=1.943, 95% CI: 1.128-3.479, P=0.02), and preoperative diastolic blood pressure (OR=0.953, 95% CI: 0.918-0.985, P = 0.006) were identified as independent high-risk factors. The area under the curve (AUC) of the nomogram was 0.783 (95% CI: 0.711-0.855), with a sensitivity of 0.817 and a specificity of 0.689. The AUC based on Bootstrap resampling was 0.776 (95% CI: 0.702-0.849). The H-L test yielded P>0.05, and the calibration curve showed good model fit. Both DCA and CIC demonstrated favorable screening efficiency. Conclusions BMI, platelet count, fibrinogen, and preoperative diastolic blood pressure are independent high-risk factors for APH following LSG. The developed nomogram model exhibits good predictive performance and clinical applicability, providing a valuable tool for early screening and prevention of APH in LSG patients.

Objective To explore the efficacy and mechanism of the aqueous extract of Sauropus spatulifolius in treating constipation based on network pharmacology analysis and experiments.Meth-ods Network pharmacology analysis was conducted using an online platform to investigate the molec-ular mechanism of Sauropus spatulifolius in treating constipation.Loperamide-induced mouse consti-pation models and intestinal epithelial cell(IEC)injury models were constructed.Therapeutic effects were evaluated using indicators such as the time to the first black stool,fecal water content,and gas-trointestinal transit rate.Annexin V-FITC staining was used to assess apoptosis,JC-1 staining was used to detect mitochondrial membrane potential,chemiluminescence was used to measure adenosine triphosphate(ATP)levels,and western blotting was used to detect the expression of relevant proteins.Results Network pharmacology analysis revealed that 29 active components in Sauropus spatulifolius targeted 19 genes associated with constipation,with AKT1 identified as one of the key genes.Exper-imental results demonstrated that the aqueous extract of Sauropus spatulifolius effectively alleviated loperamide-induced constipation symptoms in mice,including weight loss,reduced intestinal motili-ty,prolonged defecation time,and decreased fecal water content.Additionally,the aqueous extract of Sauropus spatulifolius inhibited IEC-6 cell apoptosis,restored mitochondrial membrane potential,and maintained intracellular ATP levels.The therapeutic mechanism involved downregulating the ex-pression of Bel-2-associated X protein(Bax),cytochrome C,Cleaved-Caspase3,and aquaporin 3(AQP3),as well as enhancing protein kinase B(Akt)phosphorylation.Conclusion The aque-ous extract of Sauropus spatulifolius effectively ameliorates constipation symptoms in mouse models,and its mechanism may be related to improving intestinal cell energy metabolism,inhibiting IEC ap-optosis,and reducing AQP3 expression,suggesting that Sauropus spatulifolius could serve as a po-tential drug for the clinical treatment of constipation.

Objective To explore the molecular mechanism of luteolin in the treatment of cervical cancer based on network pharmacology and molecular docking technology. Methods The drug-like properties of luteolin were analyzed by the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP). The targets of luteolin were obtained from PharmMapper, Super-PRED, and Swiss Target Prediction databases. The targets related to cervical cancer were acquired from GeneCards, OMIM, and PharmGKB databases. The intersection targets of luteolin and cervical cancer were obtained through EVenn, and the "luteolin-intersection targets-cervical cancer" network diagram was constructed by Cytoscape 3.8.1. The STRING database was used to analyze the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network of intersection targets and screen the core targets. The Database for Annotation, Visualization and Integrated Discovery (David) was used to conduct Gene Ontology (GO) gene function analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) signaling pathway enrichment analysis of the targets. PyMoL 2.6.0, AutoDockTool 1.5.7 and OpenBabel 2.4.1 software were used to perform molecular docking between the core targets and luteolin. The survival analysis and pan-cancer analysis of the core targets were performed in the GEPIA database. Results A total of 449 targets of luteolin and 1 334 targets related to cervical cancer were obtained; there were 100 intersection targets between luteolin and cervical cancer, of which 24 were core targets, including MMP2, HRAS, MAPK1, AKT1, RHOA and PGR. GO and KEGG enrichment analyses revealed that the intersection targets participated in 455 biological processes, 70 cellular components, 119 molecular functions, and 143 KEGG signaling pathways. Molecular docking revealed a good binding of MMP2 with luteolin. The survival curves of cervical cancer patients showed that the risk ratios of RHOA, MAPK1, MMP2 and AKT1 genes were greater than 1, while those of HRAS and PGR were less than 1. Pan-cancer analysis showed that HRAS and MAPK1 were highly expressed in cervical cancer, and HRAS had significant expression differences. Conclusion Luteolin treats cervical cancer through a multi-target and multi-pathway mechanism.

Objective:To investigate the influene of sarcopenia on quality of life in patients with adenocarcinoma of gastroesophageal junction (AEG).Methods:The retrospective cohort study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 109 patients with AEG who were admitted to Henan Provincial People′s Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were collected. There were 63 males and 46 females, aged (63±11)years. All patients underwent 3D laparoscopic assisted radical total gastrectomy+D 2 lymph node dissection. The skeletal muscle content of patient was obtained within 3 days before surgery by using a multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance human body composition analyzer. Observation indicators: (1) clinical characteristics of patients with sarco-penia and non sarcopenia; (2) intraoperative and postoperative conditions in patients with sarco-penia and non sarcopenia; (3) analysis of serious postoperative complications in patients with AEG; (4) preoperative and postoperative quality of life score in patients with sarcopenia and non sarco-penia. Measurement data with normal distribution were represented as Mean± SD, and comparison between groups was conducted using the t test. Measurement data with skewed distribution were represented as M( Q1, Q3), and comparison between groups was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U test. Count data were described as absolute numbers or percentages, and comparison between groups was conducted using the chi-square test. Comparison of ordinal data was conducted using the Mann-Whitney U non-parameter rank sum test. Repeated measurement data were analyzed using the repeated ANOVA, and their variances were tested using a spherical test. Univariate analysis was conducted using the Logistic regression model, and multivariate analysis was conducted using the Logistic stepwise regression model. Results:(1) Clinical characteristics of patients with sarcopenia and non sarcopenia. Of 109 patients with AEG, there were 42 cases with sarcopenia and 67 cases with non sarcopenia. The body mass index (BMI), forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), rate of FEV1/forced vital capacity were (20.3±2.3)kg/m 2, 92%±9%, 79%±11% in patients with sarcopenia, respectively, versus (24.4±2.7)kg/m 2, 97%±9%, 85%±11% in patients with non sarcopenia, showing significant differences in the above indicators between them ( t=8.07, 2.46, 2.77, P<0.05). (2) Intraoperative and postoperative conditions in patients with sarcopenia and non sarco-penia. The volume of intraoperative blood loss, time to postoperative first flatus, duration of post-operative hospital stay, cases with postoperative complications were 208(192, 231)mL, (3.4±0.9)days, (11.4±3.2)days, 26 in patients with sarcopenia, respectively, versus 195(150,215)mL, (2.8±0.7)days, (9.9±1.6)days, 14 in patients with non sarcopenia, showing significant differences in the above indi-cators between them ( Z=-2.14, t=3.25, 3.38, χ2=18.69, P<0.05). (3) Analysis of serious postoperative complications in patients with AEG. Results of multivariate analysis showed that sarcopenia and BMI reduction were independent risk factors influencing serious postoperative complications in patients with AEG ( odds ratio=2.04, 1.98, 95% confidence interval as 1.24-3.36, 1.09-3.60, P<0.05). (4) Pre-operative and postoperative quality of life score in patients with sarcopenia and non sarcopenia. Results of multivariate test in physical function, role function, social function, overall score of patients with sarcopenia and non sarcopenia before surgery, 2 weeks after surgery, 4 weeks after surgery, and 8 weeks after surgery showed that there were significant differences in the temporal effect, intergroup effect and interaction effect of the above indicators between patients with sarcopenia and non sarcopenia ( P<0.05). Results of individual effects showed that there were significant differences in the intergroup effect of the above indicators between patients with sarcopenia and non sarcopenia ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Preoperative sarcopenia increases the risk of severe postoperative complications and reduces the postoperative quality of life in patients with AEG.

Background::Heterogeneity of tumor cells and the tumor microenvironment (TME) is significantly associated with clinical outcomes and treatment responses in patients with urothelial carcinoma (UC). Comprehensive profiling of the cellular diversity and interactions between malignant cells and TME may clarify the mechanisms underlying UC progression and guide the development of novel therapies. This study aimed to extend our understanding of intra-tumoral heterogeneity and the immunosuppressive TME in UC and provide basic support for the development of novel UC therapies.Methods::Seven patients with UC were included who underwent curative surgery at our hospital between July 2020 and October 2020. We performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) analysis in seven tumors with six matched adjacent normal tissues and integrated the results with two public scRNA-seq datasets. The functional properties and intercellular interactions between single cells were characterized, and the results were validated using multiplex immunofluorescence staining, flow cytometry, and bulk transcriptomic datasets. All statistical analyses were performed using the R package with two-sided tests. Wilcoxon-rank test, log-rank test, one-way analysis of variance test, and Pearson correlation analysis were used properly.Results::Unsupervised t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding clustering analysis identified ten main cellular subclusters in urothelial tissues. Of them, seven urothelial subtypes were noted, and malignant urothelial cells were characterized with enhanced cellular proliferation and reduced immunogenicity. CD8 + T cell subclusters exhibited enhanced cellular cytotoxicity activities along with increased exhaustion signature in UC tissues, and the recruitment of CD4 + T regulatory cells was also increased in tumor tissues. Regarding myeloid cells, coordinated reprogramming of infiltrated neutrophils, M2-type polarized macrophages, and LAMP3 + dendritic cells contribute to immunosuppressive TME in UC tissues. Tumor tissues demonstrated enhanced angiogenesis mediated by KDR + endothelial cells and RGS5 +/ACTA2 + pericytes. Through deconvolution analysis, we identified multiple cellular subtypes may influence the programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) immunotherapy response in patients with UC. Conclusion::Our scRNA-seq analysis clarified intra-tumoral heterogeneity and delineated the pro-tumoral and immunosuppressive microenvironment in UC tissues, which may provide novel therapeutic targets.

Objective:To analyze the situation of articles published in Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma and provide reference for the development of the journal and better service to readers and authors. Methods:All articles published in Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma from January 2019 to December 2021 were searched on the official website of the journal (www.bxblbl.com.cn) and the full-text database of Chinese medical journals (www.yiigle.com), and the statistical analysis of the articles published in the journal was performed using bibliometric methods and Excel software. Website readings and downloads were recorded based on data from the Chinese medical journal network publishing platform (https://app.yiigle.com/cmaapp/). Results:From January 2019 to December 2021, 36 issues of Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma were published, containing a total of 578 articles, with an average of about 16 articles per issue. There were 222 (38.4%) original articles, 173 (29.9%) brief communications, 11 (1.9%) guidelines and consensus articles, 58 (10.0%) topic reviews, and 94 (16.3%) reviews; the degree of authorship cooperation was 5.10 (2 946/578). The first author's affiliation included 28 provinces, cities and autonomous regions. The top 10 regions were Jiangsu, Henan, Beijing, Fujian, Shanxi, Guangdong, Tianjin, Shanghai, Hebei, and Shandong, with a total of 425 (73.5%) articles. There were 257 (44.5%) funded articles, including 105 (18.2%) articles funded by national funds. The average number of citations per article was 18.6 (10 751/578). The average annual number of reads was 104 630, and the top 20 most-read articles in 2021 were mostly in the category of guidelines and consensus and topical reviews. Conclusions:Journal of Leukemia & Lymphoma has developed well in recent years, and its influence in the field of hematology-oncology has steadily increased. In the future, according to the purpose of the journal, the special columns should be further created, and the academic quality should be improved to better serve the readers and authors.

Objective:To investigate the longitudinal trajectory and influencing factors of cancer-related fatigue (CRF) in breast cancer patients during chemotherapy.Methods:From March 2019 to January 2020, breast cancer patients in Longhua Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Affiliated to Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Peking Union Medical College Hospital were selected as the research objects to conduct follow-up investigation. The survey tools included general information questionnaire, Cancer-related Fatigue Assessment Scale, International Physical Activity Questionnaire, and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale.Results:A total of 91 patients were included in the study. The incidence of severe CRF at each time point before chemotherapy, 3 weeks after chemotherapy and 6 weeks after chemotherapy were 1.1% (1/91), 8.8% (5/57) and 2.1% (1/48), respectively. The results of the generalized estimation equation showed that the trajectory of the total score CRF firstly increased and then decreased, reaching a peak at 3 weeks after chemotherapy (35.45±13.07), and mild CRF change showed statistical difference ( P<0.05). In addition, BMI and sleep and daytime dysfunction were the influencing factors of the total score of CRF. Disease stage, sleep disturbance and daytime dysfunction were the influencing factors of CRF with different severity. Conclusions:CRF is a prominent problem in breast cancer patients during chemotherapy. Attention should be paid to high-risk individuals with abnormal BMI and daytime function by medical staff.

Objective:To analyze the articles and literature indicators of Cancer Research and Clinic, in order to provide reference for the development of the journal. Methods:All articles published in Cancer Research and Clinic from January 2017 to December 2021 were searched on the official website of the journal (www.zlyjylc.com.cn), and the core literature indicators of Cancer Research and Clinic published in the Citation Report of Chinese Science and Technology Journals (Core Edition) from 2018 to 2022 were searched, and the statistical analysis of the articles and literature indicators was performed using bibliometric method and Excel software. Results:From 2017 to 2021, a total of 60 issues of Cancer Research and Clinic were published, containing a total of 1 065 articles, with an average of 17.8 articles per issue; a total of 4 416 pages of articles were published, with an average of 4.1 pages per article. There were 609 original articles (57.2%), 193 brief communications (18.1%) and 224 reviews (21.0%) in the main sections. The degree of authorship cooperation was 3.84 (4 086/1 065). The first author affiliation of the article was located in 31 regions, of which the top 10 regions in terms of the number of articles published were Shanxi, Jiangsu, Beijing, Shandong, Hubei, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Guangdong, Henan, and Hebei, with a total of 822 articles (77.2%). A total of 487 articles (45.7%) were funded by the foundation, including 134 articles (12.6%) funded by the national foundations. The average number of citations per article was 19.3 (20 557/1 065); the total number of marked keywords was 4 412, with an average of 4.1 per article. The impact factor and total citation frequency in 2018 were the highest (0.680 and 775), and the rate cited, open factor and overall evaluation total score in 2021 were the highest (0.94, 42 and 29.8). Conclusions:Cancer Research and Clinic has adhered to its own purpose and formed its own characteristics, and its academic quality and influence have steadily improved in the field of oncology in China in recent years. It should continue to improve the quality and strive to be a first-class oncology journal in the future.
